Costa Coffee, Ilkeston in Erewash

visited today Tuesday 7th May2024 and not been here for a very long time. Was very quiet so getting a table was easy. Drinks were good, staff friendly, clean toilets

Friendly staff and quick service with the usual Costa offerings the only issue that keeps coming up is the lack of WIFI, more often than not it is not available, sort it out please.

Staff are always lovely and polite. Drinks are always served the best they can be. Staff never seem to get drinks wrong.

This is one of my go to places for a decent cup of coffee when in Ilkeston, service is quick and efficient and the restaurant is kept very clean and tidy with comfortable seating.

After doing a couple of jobs in the town needed refreshment and Costa met that, quick service, decent cup of coffee and not too busy.

The staff do an amazing job with superb service through these strange times. They also have to put up with some harsh people! They are always busy and work together perfectly to get people on their way quickly. The store is always immaculately kept.

Staff are excellent and i am here daily! They are always polite and cleaning tables and chairs. Excellent coffee and hand sanitizer is always available. See you tomorrow!

During a global pandemic, upon entering Ilkeston Costa coffee, there was no hand sanitizer stocked within the dispenser. I was shocked and amazed by this. Due to there being no hand sanitizer we had to eat the toasty with a knife and latte spoon and had to eat crisps with a tipping method. The toasty was crispier than usual and our plates were dirty, as being vegetarians, we had a piece of what appeared to be pulled pork from the past user of said plate. There were no social distanced tables and anyone could sit right beside us unlike other Costa restaurants where they have restricted tables.

Takeaway only at the moment but good to see that it is open. Staff were cleaning everything so hopefully not long before it re-opens fully.

Busy day today, I think everyone wanted to have a breather from shopping but the staff were on the button, clearing tables and efficiently serving new customers, it must be that time of year.

Having visited many many Costa Coffe establishments up and down the Country, the Ilkeston one has got be one of the worst run and managed. 1. Customer Service poor, and on the times I've been not the most helpful 2. Toilets poorly managed, when staff are informed there is no toilet rolls, no rush to replenish them 3. One of my favourite items to purchase is a chocolate twist, never have any available 4. Tend to section off parts of the areas early, this obviously helps them avoid have to clean when closing Thankfully I've moved out the area so wont be returning, the one I go to now in Beeston is 4* compared to Ilkeston.

Service excellent, but once again decaf skinny mocha rubbish too milky ,,,,,,,,, should of kept going down the hill to next costa they get it right all the time ,,,,,,,, please hurry and shut it down

This Costa has had a bit of a refurbishment and it is looking far better than it did, even the staff seemed more cheerful in their work, long may it continue.

You get a really good cup of coffee here, but, for whatever reason the staff never seem happy in their job, a smile to customers would go along way.

"Plastic" food - coffee OK but staff rude and unable to handle a legitimate complaint. I dislike being laughed at.

The baristas know how to make good coffee but unfortunately some of the staff give the impression that they would rather be elsewhere. With exception of one lady the others dont smile let alone look at you when they take your order. The milk alternatives aren't that great either, they have started doing coconut milk but this is made with soya. When I asked about the ingredients none of the staff knew this - thankfully I asked to look at the ingredients because my daughter has a dairy, soya and egg allergy and this could have made her very poorly. Which leads me to my next point, the vegan options are extremely limited - they have a coconut slice and a granola square neither of which are very appealing. The cafe area is generally clean although the toilets need some attention. There is also a light bulb over their coffee menus which constantly flickers - almost as if the bulb is about to blow but it's been like it for years so not sure that is the issue but it needs fixing.

Love Costa coffee, they have some awesome coffee flavours and nice sweet snacks as well. Always good for a quick lunch break or to pick something up on your way to work.

You know what to expect from Costa coffee a decent cup of coffee and snacks. However on this occasion the staff let it down, they were more interested is chatting between themselves and tables were not being cleared.

I love this Costa, the staff are friendly and the drinks are always up to the standard I expect from Costa. My most recent visit I had a honeycomb latte which was really tasty. The tables are always clean and it is a good atmosphere.

Nice place to sit and have a coffee - bit costly as are all the costas, Seating comfortable and newspapers available

Rápido té y tostadas (en cualquier lugar) tostadas mejor chocolate caliente y encantador diabólico. Muy concurrido el domingo por la mañana y el personal iba tan rápido como pudieran. Necesitaba otra persona sólo para limpiar las mesas. Muy bonito como siempre, me gusta la consistencia de costa, sabes lo que te vas a encontrar.

Que visite Costa al menos una vez a la semana, mientras que fuera de compras, el personal es encantador, el lugar está impecable de limpio, el caramelo café salados es para morirse junto con junto con un trocito de cereza y almendra. Qué manera de conseguir a través de el día de compras!

I love Costa, they do amazing toasties and scones and the vanilla lattes are beautiful bit to mention your season drinks

Regularmente aquí en pop con mis hijos - a veces simplemente para utilizar el para cambiar pañales, pero nunca es un problema, el personal es encantador. Cuando vaya a comer o beber siempre ofrecen a llevar mi bandeja de la mesa, así que me puedo quedar con mis niños. Mantener el buen trabajo :).

Toastie and a good cup of coffee for a reasonable price. Nicely decorated, clean and tidy with good service from the staff.

costa is quickly overtaking starbucks in the uk serving it in proper cups and mugs this one is always busy but its worth the wait

A great place to chill out in a morning before heading off to work. Coffee and toasted teacake always sets me up for the day.

You always know what you are going to get at Costa, however the selection of patries always lacks croissants, or almond croissants, unlike other costas. Also the staff seem incapabl of listeing to your order and getting what you have asked for first time. They either ask the same question again or keep asking you - "did you say small?, did you say you wanted milk? ......" also unlike on the retail park you have to pay extra for wanting enough butter to cover two slices of toast !!! why is that ???

Staff are pleasant enough and generally service is pretty quick compared to other coffee shops. I was, however, horrified by the state of the toilets. The seats appear to have been given a cursory wipe but no attention has been paid to the under side of the seats or the underside of the lids. It looks like they haven't had a proper clean for months. There has been no improvement since my last visit some weeks ago. This concerns me as a health hazard in a food outlet.

The staff was very helpful and made my experience 100% better than other costa coffees I've been to.

I come here with my daughter quite often for a coffee and cake for me and my daughter always has a baby chocolate and cake.Every time we go in we are met by a warm friendly smile and welcome. All the girls work really hard. Always clean and never wait long

I often go to Costa for a catch up with friends. There is a relaxed atmosphere and good quality service that is consistent each time we visit. Can be a little expensive, but that's Costa. The coffee is always good and doesn't take all day to be served. Brilliant.

It`s standardised stuff in this coffee shop. The staff although always polite seem that they`d rather be somewhere else, which I don`t blame them for.

Usual Costa fare and quality, the staff are friendly and smiling, good coffee and cakes. Recommended.

Call in here quite often - usually afternoons. Pleasant environment, and calorie filled cakes on offer. The tea is very good and refreshing, whilst the toasted teacakes are a good size.Staff are helpful and I've never queued for very long. Recommended for refreshments, but you won't get a meal here - or at any other Costa. Wish I had shares in the place!

I have called in a couple of times, especially when the weather is nice as you can sit outside and watch the world go whilst enjoying a beautiful cup of coffee with flavouring's of you choice, I have not eaten there, but every where is spotless

I have visited Costa Coffee 3 times whilst I have shopped on Ilkeston Market, during the summer I sat outside and in the Autumn my friend #viv and I sat inside, the coffee is to die for, very welcoming staff and I am able to pay on my card, which is very good as I don't carry cash in my purse, Highly recommended for a coffee stop

Wonderful staff . An absolute pleasure to be around . Me and my gran enjoy coffees here on a regular basis . Lovely & clean disabled toilets which is always a plus side!!

Always a good drink and food selection. Clean and wheelchair accessible. Able to collect points with purchases to get further discounts on future purchases.

Decent sized coffee shop which is always pretty busy. You know you're going to get a good coffee from here before you walk in because, well, it's Costa, isn't it? The decor is stylish and the general ambience is good. It's well situated in the centre of Ilkeston amidst what shops are left!

If you want a nice coffee in nice surroundings then this is a great place. A little expensive but you do collect points to redeem off other products

When you visit a Costa Coffee house you know what you are getting, decent drink/cakes and light bites at a reasonable price. This Costa is a very busy place, well decorated and clean, staff are friendly and they clear/turn empty tables around quickly.
