We have been regularly coming to Bakewell to shop for several decades, usually incorporating a light lunch or afternoon tea as part of the day. Our first choice for food used to be Bytheway’s, but alas this shut a few years ago, and we have been working our way round the many different cafes & pubs in the town to find a new favourite. We went to the Lime Lounge for the first time today, and it is certainly now high on our list. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, the extensive menu, dominated by all-day breakfasts, filled rolls and paninis with gluten free and meat-substitute variants along with a selection of cakes and pastries was ideal for us, and at what we thought was a very reasonable price. The food was of very good quality and in generous portions, and we left well fed and happy, and will certainly return.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning, a small sized one which was more than enough and a ‘hot’ hot chocolate! Service was quick, efficient and the staff were lovely as they always are. Plenty of extra seating upstairs and in the summer there’s a lovely garden area.

Whilst I cannot fault the quality of the food, the lack of toilet facilities causes me a major problem. Previously when we have visited here we were able to use the toilets belonging to the pub next door. Having mobility problems and on medication , I politely asked if it would be possible to use the staff WC. This was refused and I was told to use the public toilets which were a considerable distance away. It took me a very painful 25 minute walk to go there and back.I am 85 years old, leaning heavily on a walking stick . I feel very disappointed as i have visited this fish shop many times in the past.

Stayed overnight recently. Arrived to check in at 4 - lady behind the bar couldn’t find the room key - the cleaners had it - check in was supposed to be from 3. Room ok, clean , but the whole place is in an urgent need of some TLC. Parts of it are really off putting. Breakfast was ok but slightly confusing as to self serve/how to order as the lady at breakfast didn’t explain. Sat 10 mins waiting to be attended before I realised the cereal was behind me on the bar. 5 mins later the chef came out and asked what we wanted. I had higher hopes of this place but we won’t be going back. There are much better around in my opinion.

The restaurant itself is accessible, providing you don’t need to use any facilities (toilets). If you’re in a wheelchair then you can forget it. After a lovely meal I needed to use the toilet before we left as we had a 40 min drive back home. But there was no disabled/accessible toilet. My partner highlighted this to the staff and the manager came. She asked me if I wanted to use the gents! She said she would block it off for me. For context I am a young women. It’s unsafe for me without using grabrails. I ended up having to travel half a mile away and use some dark and dingy disabled toilets up the road!

We managed to find an indoor table for 2, by the counter, after an invigorating walk at Cuber Gap. It was quite full for lunch and some had even gone outside in the marquee. The homemade soup was good and the rustic baguettes were filling and tasty. Good service, thanks

Stayed overnight, such a lovely place. Welcome and hospitality by the team here was excellent. Lady that checked us in and showed to room was lovely (sorry didn't get your name!) and special mention to Jacob who was welcoming, efficient and seemed to be there all the time! Room was lovely, drinks and tapas in the bar were great and breakfast excellent! Thank you we will definitely be back!

Remarkably good. Excellent coffee (made properly) taste of the coffee is different to anything you would find around. It actually tastes how you would want a coffee to taste if you were to go out and enjoy one. The breakfasts and cakes look insane and we will deffo be back.

We stopped by with two dogs having walked 8 miles. The dogs weren't allowed inside but there was covered seating outside with heating. Annabel was very friendly and kindly gave the dogs treats. the humans both had soup and coffee. All was lovely tasty and hot. The service was brilliant thank you Annabel
