Beautiful authentic pizzas, real home made feel to the flavours too. We collected but the inside was lovely too, friendly guys :)

We visited on Sunday, and we absolutely loved this pub. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. Homemade lasagne with homemade garlic bread was 10 out of 10 and one of the nicest I've had. The rest of my party had the beef dinner, and all said it was really good. The land lady is brilliant, really welcoming and friendly, we can't wait to return.

What a lovely lunch we gad with Stella. It was like visiting a friend and tge food was delicious. Watch out for tge chilli relish which is on tge hot side but a great accompaniment to really tasty food. And so reasonable. We had 2 main courses, a side of fried plantain and cakes to go for £46. And we were made welcome by Stella's granddaughter too who told us all about her forthcoming birthday, her friends and a family trip that she was about to go on. All in all enchanting

Very friendly, brilliantly run freehouse pub. Popular with locals and very welcoming to those who aren't. Excellent traditional pub food. We had one of their renowned pies (beef & ale) which was delicious and fish (enormous) & proper homemade chips. Homemade puds. Would definitely recommend and worth a visit (or two!) if you're staying in the area and not sure where to go to eat and/or drink.

Stunning, lovely atmosphere, great choice of drinks/cocktails and welcoming staff! Great place! Visited on a Saturday eve with friends. Will definitely be back.

If I could give 10 stars I would, we've had a fabulous weekend here. The rooms are really "high end", amazingly comfortable bed, the hot tub is just fabulous, a low light comes on automatically when you go to the bathroom in the night, Nespresso coffee machine, easy to use very effective air conditioning, I could go on. Husband commented that in London the room would be 4 times the price. But the thing is the staff are lovely and friendly, not at all pretentious which makes for a very relaxing stay. Food in the pub next door was delicious, we were spoilt for choice. We couldn't fault our stay at all, it was perfect. Thanks to all concerned.

The best cooked breakfast and fresh bread we have ever had! What an absolute gem of a place, set within the beautiful village of Youlgrave. The food is really delicious and the decor lovely. The staff are really helpful. It is an absolute must when visiting Youlgrave. If I had a bigger freezer, I would have bought lots more bread! Thanks so much. Alison & Andy xx

I was recommended Lovage by my sister, and I have to say.. it was amazing! We had wine & tapas.. sensational! My friend & I chose lots of dishes, all of which were beautiful. The wine was amazing too. The lady who looked after us was brilliant and attentive. Will be coming back!!

We went to Lovage to celebrate a birthday, the food and service was superb and lived up to the Michelin status. I can honestly say this is one of the best meals we have had in a while! Many thanks for helping give me a memorable birthday!

Lovely local pub. Drinks only does not do food. Absolutely great selection of beers and ales. Good wines as well. Games and newspapers available. Kids welcome No outside space or smoking area, have to stand outside if that's your thing Just love this place.
