Me, hubby, daughter & my mum visit this little gem of a coffee shop/ice cream place/eatery every time we visit Bakewell from Rotherham. The MILKSHAKES are the 💯 absolutely THE BEST in Bakewell. Choice of Latte Coffee's is vast and fabulous 👌 Cakes & tray bakes to die for! ALl food looks amazing 👏 MOST IMPORTANTLY.... The Lady owner is THE MOST POLITE, welcoming lady I've come across in any establishment we have visited. EVERY time we have visited, she thanks us for using her shop and supporting her business as she is well aware there are many places for drinks & food in Bakewell. PLEASE PLEASE visit and support this little treasure of a shop, you WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. The most welcoming owner EVER and really does deserve your business. ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

We have never been before but will definitely be back. I cannot compliment the waiter or the chef enough, the food was outstandingly delicious, we both had different dishes but they were equally tasty and cooked to perfection. I initially thought my portion of food looked on the small side but after eating it, found it to be the perfect amount and I had the canoli to finish, which was also small, but perfectly adequate. I cannot wait to come back and try something else on the menu.

This is an absolute gem of a pub. They have a wide and constantly changing range of beers. All beautifully kept and served by a friendly and extremely knowledgeable landlord and staff. Certain worth a detour to visit. There is a wide range of whiskeys behind the bar as well. And they host music events in a function room.

This place is a hidden gem. Beautiful. So chilled and relaxing. Fantastic atmosphere. Food really good. Live music good. All round excellent evening out.

Amazing food !!!! So delicious and a wide range of options. Staff were friendly, toilet was nice and the interior was super cute.

We have been to Matlock many times but have only just found this lovely little cafe. My daughter and I called on this morning and sat outside, with her dog, overlooking the park. The coffee was lovely and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Bakewell tart. Pleasant staff. Will definitely be calling in again on our next visit to Matlock

Fabulous food! Really nice place for a breakfast cob/bap….cant recommend enough. Small but well worth it even if you have to wait for a table.

Well it’s a “wow, wow, wow” from me. Run by the students on their City & Guilds Catering course a simply stunning 3 course meal with coffee for just £13.95. It’s set in the new build Longfield Academy but do not be put off by that. Yes there are kids around but the environment is tranquil and thoughtfully constructed with plants providing an ambience which makes it difficult to believe you are surrounded by a 1,000 plus teenagers at school. Only available term time but definitely worth a visit.

We had coffee and scones on vintage china, and the owner, a young lady, was most friendly and helpful. A hidden gem - may she prosper and succeed in her business.

Before coming home from a short stay in Bakewell we called into the Jolly Fat Chef for a coffee. Lovely coutyard setting and nice coffees. Thank you.

I used to like this place and used over other local establishments in the area. I ordered a bacon baguette on this occasion to drive home 8 miles and eat my sandwich to find half way through eating there was chicken inside it... bonus if you like chicken... but myself can’t stand it and makes me ill eating it. So we rang up stating of what happened and no real offer for money back or anything. So for people who have allergies with white meat... beware as the woman stated “we cook all meat in one pan” won’t be back again... shocking.

Catered Hen Party weekend, we had fabulous catering for a themed evening on Friday and a formal evening on Saturday. Both evening the food was great, but the formal evening meal was stunning. The entire team were accommodating, friendly, and left no trace that they had even been in the kitchen. Highly recommend for any private dining event.

The best breakfast butty in the hope valley!! Cakes taste amazing, all at a great price, can’t wait to return.friendly chatty staff too.
