Lots if people passing this newsagent will not notice that it is also a cafe. We have been using it for several years and have to say that they serve the best coffee in Matlock and it is so reasonable. The cafe area is at the rear and has a bay window overlooking the River Derwent. They serve delicious home-made cakes, scones and toasted teacakes and a choice of coffees and teas - my own favourite being a Cafe Latte (large). So you can buy your paper or magazine and sit with your coffee and cake enjoying views over the Bridge and the River Derwent!

The Courtyard Dale RoadThe best coffee in Matlock, made by the best baristas. The cakes are spectacular and the food is great too. Well worth a visit.

Church StreetWe stayed in the village for 2 night and ended up eating here both nights. No where else took our fancy and it was really good that we came back second night. The prawn starter was amazing and the pie!! Really good service, good variety on menu and delicious food. It was just what we needed after long walks both days!!

9 Sycamore RoadLovely welcoming pub, we were staying nearby for a weekend and got recommended here for a bite to eat and we were not disappointed. The pie was one of the best, would definitely return again.
