Coffee by Lovage in Derbyshire Dales

I was recommended Lovage by my sister, and I have to say.. it was amazing! We had wine & tapas.. sensational! My friend & I chose lots of dishes, all of which were beautiful. The wine was amazing too. The lady who looked after us was brilliant and attentive. Will be coming back!!

First visit to the wine bar and won't be the last. The tapas was a bit different and very tasty. The waitress was really friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine; she recommended we order bread to go with our choices and she was right. The chenin blanc was delicious. Only downside was the bright lighting which spoilt the atmosphere. We were told it is being looked into.

The cafe was comfortable and very cosy. There was only one waitress but she was extremely friendly and helpful, and the drinks were brought quickly and were delicious. My only complaint is that there were no vegan lunch options, as we would have liked to stay for lunch.

Popped in for a brew, very nicely made coffees, and enjoyed some lovely cake and granola. The server was very friendly, wearing PPE and sanitized our bar table. The prices are reasonable, the quality of the food is great and the decor is lovely. Would recommend.

We was looking for somewhere to have a coffee and found this amazing coffee/high quality restaurant. From the outside it looks tiny but inside it's stunning and a fair size. We just had a coffee plus a warm scone with jam and cream which was super light and great. The menu looked great. The Australian lady and her staff are great friendly and relaxed. The location too is ideal very near Bakewell's stunning bridge. Next time we are in the area we will be returning to here

The standard of the food is excellent and such good value for how tasty it is. It is now the only place I go for coffee/a treat in Bakewell as it is guaranteed delicious every time. The staff are so accommodating and cater to all diets/intolerances and always ask before hand. In terms of covid, we always feel safe seeing all the measures they’ve put in place. My favourite dish is the spicy chicken, the Asian slaw is just amazing and I’ve never come across anything like it before.

First of all, the food is amazing. You never expect something so nice when entering a café, but as soon as you get your order, you realize that the quality of the restaurant gets reflected in the café. The staff is really nice and the menu is simply great. I've been going almost every week since I discovered it just to be able to try all their café menu. My personal favourites are the beetroot latte and the spicy chicken. Perfect for a brunch or lunch. I would recommend this to anyone, all the time.

We dropped in for a coffee and were very impressed with this place. A delightful manager welcomed us into an extremely pleasant and clean establishment, beautifully decorated, very good coffee/tea at very good prices. Highly recommend

Walking around Bakewell, we were both feeling cold and decided to visit this restaurant and were not disappointed. All we wanted was a hot drink to warm us up and also use the toilets. Having ordered hot chocolate we were both impressed with the presentation and taste, if fact we both thought it was one of the best such drinks we had enjoyed anywhere. The toilet was beautifully clean and the lady who served us was easy to talk to and made us very welcome. If we had time we would have returned later for a meal.

We both had the smoked salmon & scrambled eggs on toast - lovely and fresh tasting. Excellent cappuccino and latte.

What an excellent new place to eat. We’ve been several times in the weeks that it has been open and always with a wonderful friendly service. Love the food and always a difficult decision what to have as it is all fabulous.

Lovely! such a nice vibe in this hidden treasure and a must if you are in Bakewell. The food is delicious and the smell of coffee as you walks is heaven. Looking forward to returning!

What a delight - lovely tapas out with the family last night. Such intriguing and innovative tastes with something for everyone - big hit was the beetroot ice cream which came as part of an beetroot salad dish and the rhubarb soufflé which was amazing Really looking forward to the main restaurant opening on the 6th

Everything about our visit here was fantastic. We tried the beetroot and turmeric lattes and they were delicious. The food was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is so friendly. The staff were lovely. We had a lovely breakfast here. It’s so refreshing to finally have a real 5 star experience in Bakewell. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Wonderful find in the centre of Bakewell. The food choice was very creative and interesting and it made a great change from the 'chips with everything' menus in the town. Welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. Loved it.
