Very cosy and welcoming lounge, comfortable inside seating with some outside seating to the front next to the road and in the alley. I went for a coffee and piece of cake, the lounge is an ongoing project at the moment (toilet refurbishment).

I'm not entirely certain whether Derbyshire boasts the finest pubs and exceptional beer, or if I've simply struck lucky today. My word, the beer here is delightful! The staff are wonderfully friendly, and there's an incredibly relaxed atmosphere. It's a truly lovely place to unwind, relish quality beer, and feel genuinely welcomed.

Me and my parents visited The Robin Hood on Sunday for Mothers Day and had such a great experience. The food was great, and catered perfectly for my Mum who is Gluten Free! A standout for us was Olivia our waitress, who was very helpful with the menu and also super happy and positive about how much she loved her job. What a great addition to your team, would definitely visit again. Thanks Guys & Olivia :)

Fairly average, nothing inspiring for fish and chips but totally let down by not getting the salt and vinegar I asked for. I couldn't really get to the flavour without the salt. The food would have been cold by the time I got back to rectify it. I hate leaving a bad review but it was really disappointing. Friendly service though.

Popped in for a refreshing drink after a stroll around the town. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. A great range of drinks and although we didn’t eat…the food looked amazing! The beer garden area was bright and cheerful with plenty of seating. We stall definately pop in again and hopefully try the Sunday lunch too ☺️

We’ve called in at this pub for meals several times on days out in the peaks. Always been great. This time was average. Scampi and chips - no peas, veg or salad of any sort. Quiche and chips no salad - not even a garnish . The salads used to be beautiful . Corners cut to save money we guess . Asked if we could have half salad/half chips ? No you can’t - it’s one or the other. At £15.50 a portion that’s not good . Disappointing

Held our running club Christmas meal for 17 people here. Having pre-ordered our meals the week before, the service was excellent, efficient, and each course came out on time without ever feeling we were bering rushed. The ladies serving us were polite, freindly and cheerful, and helped make it a most memorable event. The food was delicious with good-sized portions of perfectly cooked and varied ingredients, well presented, and universally enjoyed. Can't speak highly enough of you all, thank you!

Great place to stay, would come here again. After seeing quite a few negative reviews, we were nervous about staying here, but we only have positive comments to make - lovely cosy little room, great shower, nice view over the village. Downstairs in the bar area looks really nice. We stayed on a Friday and it was lovely and quiet, no bands. I had no problem booking through wowcher (although I had to phone to sort it after having no reply via email). All staff friendly and accommodating. Had a lovely breakfast before we left and the owner was happy to let us leave the car for a few hours so that we could do a walk to Milldale (also asked if we needed directions).

. . . from Sammy, Joe and everyone, locals alike made us feel so welcome. We stayed for ‘just one more’ as we and our dog were embraced with friendliness and fun. We are returning for Sunday lunch to purely meet these lovely people again and enjoy the atmosphere.

We called in for lunch after a 3 mile walk with our dog around the Chatsworth estate. The quality is there to see from the moment you walk through the door. Attentive bar service, a perfect pint of Chatsworth Gold, excellent wine list (including dessert wine by the glass) and quality food backed up by fantastic and friendly service from Nieve, a fellow dog lover who is a credit both to herself and the organisation. Will definitely be coming back.

Gorgeous food and a great choice on the kids' menu! Everything tasted really fresh and great quality ingredients. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. We even left my sons water bottle behind, and they are keeping it to one side for when we return! 😆🙈
