The best restaurants serving British food in Broxtowe East Midlands

We had mountains of scrumptious, mouth watering food and great service from Michelle and Sue. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast 🍳🍳 Review written by my 9 year old.

First impression very good update after stay

Only stopped in on a walk to have a pint and a pudding. Staff were really friendly. Neck Oil beer was top notch and lemon meringue pie delicious. The chef even gave my dog some bits of pork! Will return for a meal next time

Stayed here for a couple of nights ! average B&B, rooms are ok! However they haven't been cleaned the following day not even changed the towels! Not too many choices for breakfast which was very disappointing ! The only good thing about this B&B is : the staff were very polite and helpful and the steak was amazing ! Ps: in the breakfast menu they mentioned : if you cannot find anything you want please ask a member of staff ( which at time we thought this is really good) we have asked for any pastries ( Croissant , pain au chocolat...) and there was none !! we would have thought the following day they might buy it for us or at least to to add some variety to the breakfast as it is only cereals toast full English and omelettes however unfortunately still the same!

Food average but very small portions. A rip off at £6.50 for small jacket potato and 2 small topping. I don't recommend it

Fantastic food as always, Tried the Burger Sizzler Combo fully recommend this Never had any issues. Will always come back

Excellent whiskey and local/guest beer and cider menus and the food alone is worth the trip. Lovely atmosphere with the open fire and original features, would only benefit from sealing the doors shut to prevent a draught but that might cause a problem with access... One of the best pubs in Nottingham.

Our third trip to the White Lion who always deliver particularly with the food. Having previously enjoyed the fish and chips, this time I found the mixed grill awesome! I would also recommend enjoying a dessert. We will of course be returning. Great music and relaxed atmosphere. My wife picks the curry every time!

I can't believe how badly managed this Wetherspoons is,,,,, sat her for two hours and never saw one table cleaned or emptied of pots or glasses! Staff standing around talking and on there fones!

Amazing service from Matt at the bar food was amazing I myself had the katsu chicken which was cooked to perfection and my wife had fish and chips will definitely visit again when in the neighbourhood

Arrived for dinner, seated on time, ordered food and drinks which were delivered in good time. Young chap running round like there was nobody else there, bringing food out and clearing tables but apart from him, nobody seemed bothered. Not particularly busy. Two other staff wandering around doing very little apart from taking the odd bill to a table or having a chat. Sat for 20 mins being ignored with empty drinks glasses and no food on the table, got bored, paid and left. Shame really as the food was good but won’t rush back.

Having my husbands meal replaced as barely warm we both were given free drinks on the house . There were only 3 members of staff who were rushed off their feet but still found time to be polite and helpful .Thankyou Zoe Toni and Michael .
