Costa in Broxtowe

I came back about 3 weeks ago and there was a large muzzled dog in the place. It felt very uncomfortable. Not sure if I'll be back again now. It's too much hassle. People just want to relax and have a coffee and There are plenty of other places we can go to do that. Apparently Costa are letting dogs in from the beginning of Oct 2024.

I like Costa and all the other coffee shop chains but I don't understand why they are so expensive

Visited and disappointed by the environment within the building. The owners didn't have any A/C running and the units looked filthy. It was a warm day and inside it was very humid and sweaty. Not a good environment for people with medical issues. It felt like a breeding ground for viruses. Needless to say I ordered our drinks and food and requested it for our outside table. Unfortunately McDonald's, Marks and Spencer and Starbucks operate on the same retail area so will be using them instead. They operate a much cleaner environment.

Watch out for misleading offers from Costa Coffee not just this branch but the whole company any offer they send you could actually cost you money. Used a voucher they sent me and it cost me more than if I’d not bothered. Totally misleading offer and just after your hard earned money. Don’t think I’ll bother in the future

Two coffee and two pieces cake £16 . people over the pension age setting around you.

Best cortado I've had. Service was welcoming. They have new staff and you can tell; it feels a little more invigorated. Usual clientele ;-)

I wasn't planning on every writing a review for this, but have just been given some excellent customer service by Ben, who, even though I've only been served once by him a few weeks back, remembered my order, something I find incredible given the amount of people he must have served between my last visit and this. It's a level of customer service/memory that can't be taught.

It put me off staff coughing quite a bit, then not washing hands and then serving customers food and drink.

Great coffee, friendly staff, very comfy chairs, clean and tidy cafe. My first time and definitely not my last visit.

Thought I was attending a wake.

As always with these rip off coffee outlets, it's the prices that hold back giving them a higher star ⭐ rating. Even in 2023 there is no excuse for charging £16 for two coffee's and two measly portions of cake. Costa Fortune is a prime example of capitalist exploitation at it's very worst. 💲💲💰💰👎

Our visit to Costa Coffee at just after 9 am was met with disappointment as the teacakes and jam were unavailable. Nonetheless, we opted for toast with butter, accompanied by a slice of the delightful lotus cheesecake, complemented by a flat white and chai latte. The service was prompt, delivering nicely hot beverages. The toast arrived still warm, and the generous portion of the delectable lotus cheesecake was truly enjoyable. The staff showcased patience and a welcoming demeanor, while the café maintained a clean and inviting ambiance. Regrettably, the absence of jam and teacakes was a downside. Nevertheless, this minor setback won’t deter us from considering future visits, given the overall positive experience.

If he had a condition I apologise, but the staff on duty was loud as hell.

I came here to say the tries the new menu item, The Blueberry Bubble Frappe. The actual drink was amazing, but there was one problem. The straw. If you have ever had bubble tea before then you know that you need a a straw big enough to fit the bubbles through. The straw Costa provided was not big enough, resulting in me having to use my fingers. I hope that this issue gets resolved in the coming days.

Both employees we encountered seemed more interested in their repertoire rather than taking the order correctly. Why bother asking questions if you are going to ignore the answer?

Very short staffed and it's led to untidy tables and a longer wait to be served. Very polite and accommodating staff though. No change to the staffing levels or untidiness, packed with customers and still taking uber, deliveroo and just eat orders adding to the chaos.

As we were visiting Chilwell Retail Park we decided to have an afternoon break. As we both like coffee we had a cappuccino and an espresso. Both were very good but service was a bit slow and we had to remove the previous customers cups and plates! Hence, only 3 stars!

I called in for an Americano at approximately 11: 30am on Thursday 8th September and was served by a most delightful young lady. I couldn't see her name badge without appearing 'indiscreet' (she is tall with blonde hair). I was feeling a little 'low' when I arrived, but her lovely demeanour lifted my spirits ❤️

This is a nice branch of Costa, handily placed on the Chilwell Retail Park. It's generally busy, but welcoming, clean and tidy. I made the mistake this morning of ordering a large filter coffee, ending up with a mug that needed a handle on either side in order to lift it properly. It wouldn't have looked out of place in a trophy cabinet to be honest. Good value at £1.99 though.

Very handy as it's in the retail park and close to a bus stop, can get very busy here and often no seats available. I find it quite noisy in here the music is loud and the acoustics of the room don't help. Having said that the usual quality for Costa with the plus of food from M&S.

Quick staff and very kind ppl working there

I've visited here three times in the past six months, and every single time without fail they don't have what I ask for. It's usually syrup, which indicates that perhaps stock isn't being managed correctly. Options I've asked for aren't available to take out in the size I asked for (bizarre) and I've had to repeat myself for toppings, cream etc, after speaking to the cashier and then the barista. Overall not particularly impressed. Clean and tidy, just lacking in clear signage and stock/supplies.

As always just brilliant. I can not fault costa one little bit. Really good polite staff and very helpful. Clean and tidy too and tables wiped down after every use.

We love Costa but unfortunately whenever we come to this store the highchairs are absolutely filthy. The staff are pleasant and obviously food and drink are the standard everywhere. But cleanliness leaves alot to be desired.

I was overcharged, this was remedied when I pointed it out. If I hadn't checked my receipt I would not have known. This is the second time that this has happened to me in a Costa cafe.

We love going to Beach dale Costs coffee The manageress. Is lovely and she remembers us and the staff are very good quick.and also remember you. If you wont lovely coffee and a quick service go to Beech dale they are the BEST

Typical Costa on a retail park. Good selection of drinks with Festive varieties. Lots of seating available.

I have a sweet tooth but I can still enjoy Costa's coffee without sugar. Their butter chocolate twist pastry was really buttery. Also, I was served by Ivy, a straight talking but very efficient and lovely lady, who, by the way, made my delicious coffee. Well worth the 45 minutes drive to visit Beeston's Costa.

Slow service bacon cob cooked first put on tray then had to wait at least 5 minutes further for drinks very poor

This is a full Costa coffee shop (not a storewithin a store), anyone that has ever been to a Costa would not know the difference from any other Costa. As always with Costa a good variety for any coffee/tea/hot chocolate/milkshake drinker. Service was excellent when ordering and drinks order no issues. Same snacks menu as all other Costa so again no issues Stars awarded is due to the lack of hand sanitiser which is as a Covid careful shopper I find important and alwaysuse on enteringand leaving a store (it was empty) and even though it was not particularly busy noticed that as customers left tables were left uncleared and uncleaned for quite a bit of time. I could only see 3 members of staff so again maybe this is a budgeting thing for not only Costa but a lot of businesses in the Covid era but from a personal perspective which is why I leave reviews walking in and searching for a clean table or having to ask for a table to be cleared is not my ideal venue. This would not stop me revisiting as I prefer to base my reviews on the overall service and experience (maybe they have more staff on busier days or have a shortage due to sickness) but if this was my regular Costa and a recurring problem I would be making management aware.

I go here every day for a coffee. Atmosphere is nice and the staff are very friendly. It does get busy at times so you may have to wait. I don’t find this a problem as I would rather a decent service than being rushed through. Food is the usual Costa stuff.

Great coffee as always & nice gingerbread cake which was so big we shared it between us both.

They have a very good range of coffee and can make anything with alternative milk, the only downside is that they charge 45p for anything other than cows or soya milk. Drinks are made fast and plenty of seating inside.

Visited Costa this afternoon with a friend. We had two coffees and a toasted sandwich each. The service from one of the two staff members was pretty poor. I got the feeling she was just too busy and had too many things to do and forgot about the customer care/engagement that will have been given by Costa when she first started. I felt she was not to blame as the store was busy and there were only two people serving. That might explain why the toilets were in a bad state. Probably most disappointing was the tap.... not working which is most unfortunate given Covid. The coffee and toasted sandwich were however very good.

Usual Costa friendly service but can get busy so service not the fastest. Small unit so not much seating, dont understand why this wasn't made a drive thru (with separate access from main road)

Normally don't these style of coffee shops as expensive, but was pleasently surprised considering covid good service and a lovely toasted sandwich just glad I wasn't paying.

Conveniently located Costa Coffee in Chilwell Retail Park. The service was quick and had seats outside. Nothing to complain.

Not a drive thru....but not very busy, very covid aware re hygiene and we earned free drinks via Costa card which is always satisfying. Very close to Attenborough nature reserve....which also has decent cafe with lovely outside seating. Costas outsidecseating is in the car park

This is open for takeaways and serves the usual costa stuff. There is a queuing system but it's not enforced if people crowd in. They've taped off the outdoor seating and tables so there's nowhere to sit with your coffee. I suppose it's better than McD next door who don't do takeaway unless you have a car!

Friendly team, great quality drinks. Slight queue but only due to the social distancing. Can click and collect without queuing and have delivery via the usual online food delivery companies

Good service in shop asked what was required fast service and polite staff
