Went for a meal. The food and drink was great and reasonably priced and we were very well looked after by Katie our server. Recommended for a quiet family meal or a drink.

Sunday night not super busy but I feel we were forgotten a few times an example being that our main courses arrived and none of our starter plates had been cleared from the table. Food was nice.

Booked a table for 1pm. Arrived and waited to be shown to our table but there was nobody at the desk or behind the bar, not a very good first impression, so we waited about 10mins for someone to arrive. The lady showed us to our table and took our drinks order which arrived promptly. A gentleman delivered these and too our order from the lunchtime menu of main and desserts. The main course seemed to take rather a long time to arrive. when we had finished we had to wait at least another 30 minutes for our desserts, after having to ask twice. These were eventually delivered at which point our table was then cleared. The service overall was quite shocking. Other people arrive some time after us and were served much quicker. After saying about the poor service, the food was beautiful. The fish was cooked to perfection, the mini grill was lovely and so was the salmon. The desserts were just as good. So food was excellent. Service left a lot to be desired.

Had a lovely evening with my mother-in-law and the rest of the Roulstone family to celebrate the birthday of their late father/grandfather Alex Roulstone. Our host Kate was lovely and everyone enjoyed the food.

Went in for an after work drink. At the bar we were asked who was next, we advised the person waiting ahead of us. A large group from a wake arrived at the bar after us. The other bar staff served them ahead of us. When the server who we had directed to the other gentleman had finished she said ‘sorry but I need to go to the host’ and walked off and proceeded to seat people who arrived at the pub AFTER us. After waiting several minutes and 2 other staff members walking past and looking at us we left to go on to find a pub in Beeston. Clearly they just serve mates here.

I was greeted by Alice, the manager on shift, and Pippa, our waitress for the evening, who were both very welcoming and happy to help with my needs. The family were celebrating my aunt’s birthday so I had brought a cake along which I asked to be brought out to the table before our desserts. As a kind gesture Alice gave my aunt a complimentary bottle of wine; in my opinion this is very unheard of in establishments nowadays so it was a lovely touch to our evening. All of our meals came out at the same time, all correct and were all delicious. Pippa and Alice both removed our empty plates and then returned with the birthday cake, and also sang Happy Birthday to my aunt. The restaurant was pretty full but at no point did the service lower. Pippa was tremendous throughout our whole evening. Alison and Pippa definitely deserve this positive recognition as they both made our experience at The Nurseryman this evening a very special one. nice cosy pub situated just outside beeston.nottingham.good choice of food competively priced with good choice of places to sit.friendly bar staff.would recommend.

Food was ok just ok,chips had eyes in.steak was hard,onion stack was very mushy we go there fairly regular and always has been good but tonight was terrible.we will return but if the same that would be the last time.

I love the Nurseryman.3 bothers 1 sister and 1 wife all went for a family lunch.Withim a few minutes a staff member took our drinks order, and served them within 5 minutes.Katsu curry, fish and chips, and hunters chicken were the meals selected.They were all served within around 20 minutes, and all were good sized portions, and piping hot.The staff could be seen clearing tables when they became empty, and getting the tables ready for the next diners.The restaurant was comfortable,temperature wise, and clean and tidy.The atmosphere was excellent,with families enjoying a meal and social time.The staff were always on hand and plentiful.I always leave a good tip for the staff because they deserve it.Keep up the good work Nurseryman.100% satisfaction.

Stacey & the team did us proud for our family wake. From the moment we first asked about possibly holding it at The Nurseryman, the whole team were very professional and understanding. Wife is coeliac. Asked if the chips were gluten free and if the oil they are fried in too. Was told yes. Her meal arrived with boiled potatoes smothered in butter without a word. They decided to switch due to being uncertain about the chips. She was glutened so we had to leave early from her parents golden wedding anniversary. The staff and manager didn't really seem to care. Apparently the chef who is knowledgeable about allergies had left. I see that I have a response calling me a liar. We were told that the chips are GF and my wife always asks if the oil used is GF or is not used for anything else. Shame on you. We have contacted your head office plus Trading Standards over this issue. You are definitely not to be trusted.

Four of us went today,they had run out of GREENE KING IPA and CUSTARD, food was good,service good but no excuse for running out of custard, thats akin to saying local chip shop ran out of fish !!!

Had a few meals here over the past few weeks. All have been delicious.. especially the roast. I was slightly awkward (never been known before!) and asked for outer slices of meat and I got a plateful of crispy beef. 😋😋 The service is always spot on and staff are very friendly. I’d particularly like to thank Alex, Ruby, Connor, Stacey and Abbie who were on duty during my latest visit and Chloe who I know works really hard too! I would definitely recommend a trip here!!

Popped in here on the way back from a weekend away as we were about an hour and a half from home and just wanted a break and something to eat before carrying on our journey. Happened to come across this place and we are so glad we did! The atmosphere was lovely, the lighting was relaxing, it was very clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The menu had so much to choose from. Myself and my 4 year old had a roast dinner. They were huge! The steak was also really well presented and cooked perfectly. The only negative for me would be that dogs are allowed in the dining area. I have nothing against dogs but it's just my personal opinion that they shouldn't be around food for hygiene reasons. Other than that, we are so pleased that we found this little gem of a place, just gutted we live so far away!

Don't waste your hard earned money, Staff where great a pitty about the food party of 19 on 14.09.2024.Mixed grill was inedible Chicken dry,Egg hard ,black pudding vile, steak fatty,onion rings soggy, Gamon OK,chips warm,overall what a waste of money. Never again.

Just had a lovely family meal!, Connor was brilliant made sure we had everything we needed!, the occasion was mad even better by the fact a quiz was on which added to the atmosphere and made for some good family competition!

Had a very nice meal which was very good priced, the servers Alex, Ruby and Connor were very good and helpful and made sure we were looked after. A really lovely meal :)

Group of friends meeting up informally for food. The welcome was great, seating sorted, very polite and attentive staff who ensured we got great service and additional drinks etc Sam & Connor were extremely polite throughout our time.

We had a lovely meal at the Nurseryman Pub and Grill. The service was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate the rainbow salad which was amazing. My daughter had plenty of hallumi on her salad, and I had a salmon steak on mine. We had requested some customising, which was correct. My grandson had a cheeseburger and chips, and was happy with his meal. For dessert, my daughter had the hot drink and mini dessert option (cheesecake) and this was delicious. My grandson chose the triple chocolate brownie sundae. It was great. We asked for tea, and a huge pot was brought for the two of us. They were able to supply soya milk.

Visited a couple of days ago with family & can honestly say it was the worse meal we've had at the restaurant. Small piece of salmon was served with literally a plateful of baby potato's & a sprig of something we didn't know what. Another person had pie which the pastry was rock hard. £7 for 6 small slices of garlic bread is disgusting. We've often visited when we've been to visist family but unfortunately we won't visist again.

We went for Sunday lunch and it was terrible, i had the beef which was supposed to be served pink but it was overcooked and uneatable, my wife and i found the stuffing to be cold and the broccoli to be almost raw, roast potatoes were waxy and chewy, we will certainly not be eating here again

We always enjoy eating at the Nurserymen. The food is pretty consistent and it's a great menu. The staff are so friendly and helpful and Ruby was excellent. She's so efficient and polite. Will be visiting again soon

The food arrived just hot enough to eat. My chicken was overcooked and stringy, the onion rings soggy. The chips were lovely. Our friends chicken fajitas were dry. We expected it on a hot plate plateau and sizzling. Will not come again.

Visited for the first time in many years last evening. Lamb Kofra starter was excellent, the Katsu Chicken Curry good too, though the sauce was a little thick and there could have been more of it. Fresh corriander and chillies were a tasty touch but I do wonder what chips are doing with rice on the same plate. Next time I'd ask for extra rice and no chips! Staff were really pleasant especially with our chatty grand daughter. Only 4*, restaurants have to be excellent to get a "5" from me!

Was ok, green king ale on draft was ok. would prefer a wider range of ales but the staff were good and the beer was as good as Green King IPA gets 👍

Service very poor,had to ask where our food was,again food poor,alot of food missing off the menu will not go back in a hurry.

Honestly this place has one of the best burgers I've had its absolutely delicious, the food here us great quality with reasonable prices. However, the service we got here was unpleasant, passive aggressive and just blatant rude today. Maybe we came on an off day, but that's still no excuse in my opinion. Also, this pub should be giving out student discounts as its part of greene king pubs, however they refused to do so. So not only not student friendly, but also false advertisement on their website. Hope they sort this issue out because honestly love the food.

My steak was half well done which I ordered medium rare and the other half wasn't cooked at all and the presentation of my dish and my party's dish's was terrible and I was very disappointed

Nicely refurbished. Good location. Good choice of beers and food. Staff generally ok. Food quality can be variable. Rock hard pies and yorkshire puds. I suspect that early birds catch the food chilled from the day before, while later diners will get the more freshly cooked stuff.

It's been a long, long time since I have been to the Nursery man. I'm so glad I went back. New management. The food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and polite. Well worth a visit.

Service was polite and cheerful. From ordering it took about 30 minutes to receive our food. Although nicely presented, the food was unremarkable and somewhat bland. Given that, I would suggest a little overpriced. The menu is extensive; probably too much so. Better to have a more limited menu and make sure each dish is memorable for the right reasons. Apart from that, the pub itself was pleasant, clean and well kept.

It’s a nice local pub to have, the service is always welcoming and friendly. 6 of us sat down and Artur served us, he really couldn’t have been more helpful. The food is good though it won’t ever win any awards, there’s always something to have. Personally I think the before 5 menu is the best if it works time wise (which it doesn’t normally)

Booked as short notice as visiting the area. Thought it might be tricky to get in with England match on, but not a problem. Nice atmosphere with tvs on for those that wanted to watch, but quiet areas for those that didn’t. Tv not on loud either so didn’t dominate the pub. Great friendly professional service, (thanks Artur), good value for money.

What a great place to eat and drink, staff were very helpful, our waitress Niamh was great nothing was too much trouble thank you Niamh. Good to see the manageress helping out too a rarity nowadays, we will definitely be back, food was excellent and the gluten free menu for my partner had a good choice, steak cooked to perfection as was all our order. Returned a week later and lemon was put in dilute blackcurrant (water)allergic (was never asked) and price had increased fourfold(65p- £2.70) for the splash of blackcurrant dilute with water.Dearest splash of blackcurrant I have encountered. I feel I need to answer your further response . 1: Both visits were a small dilute blackcurrant,one was 65p the other £2.70. Nothing was explained to me ,as you stated.We ordered a small blackcurrant,had we ordered a large(three dashes)then we would have been charged £1.95 (according to my math).Upon challenging the price I was told "we always charge for soda " even though we only had water. With regards to your company wide policy of fruit in drink ,I have visited many of your company's establishments and have never had lemon in a dash of blackcurrant,Also we were not asked about allergies at all,I made the point that the next table to me had been asked and found this lacking at the time. I was extremely impressed with the first visit (left a 20% tip) and equally unimpressed with the second(left no tip) and even more unimpressed with your rubbish excuses within this review . As for returning ,we eat out two to three times a week and thought we had found our go to place in Nottingham (after first visit) .Have not been back since second visit.

One of our favourite places to eat. The menu offers a great selection for adults and kids. What wins us over is the consistently great service! Always smiling and very warm hosts.

Starters was okay Main tasted like it was cooked from frozen No taste When brought to the table told the guy it was wrong and he said that’s all they do now didn’t offer something else and walked off only eaten half wouldn’t go again

Just popped in for the night as away with work. Although it's a Greene king pub, the staff have been lovely. Really friendly people and food is great too

We've never been here before, so was not sure what to expect. Was greated by friendly bar staff and sat with our drinks in the bar area. After seeing the wonderful array of food pass us by on the way to the restaurant area we decided to ask for a table to eat. This was not a problem, all the staff were so helpful and polite. Oh wow, I'm glad we did eat here. This was by far the best pub food we've eaten in a long time. Definitely on my must go again list.

Great food and cheap at the price

This was a very nice place, staff were very helpful, place was clean and well set out, toilets were very clean aswell.... Parking was easy and plentyful....I had the mix grill it was ok.

A busy pub with a friendly service. Great burger, reasonable pricing, family friendly, excellent lunch. You can park there, it's wheelchair accessible and lots of seating space but it's popular so the advice would be to book a table as walk ins at peak times may mean a wait.

Popped in yesterday for a Sunday dinner. Really tasty and came out nice and hot the service was also really good!

Booked here for mothers day for 5 people, as a surprise my Daughter her partner and my 2 grandsons one being a new born turned up with my nephew whom i had not seen for a long time , so in total 7 of us dining , we was approached by a very unprofessional member of staff who told us in half an hour people was coming to the next table & our booking had gone from 5 6 7 8 very rude she basically was saying we had half hour to eat & go , i was very upset by her entire attitude instead of being accommodating & helpful her face was like thunder , instead of the bill being for 3 people it was for 5 people not including drinks cost me £87 pounds i didn't eat i was so upset , so i paid for a bad service and everyone at the table couldn't believe this girls attitude, i will never step foot in that place again and hand good money over for our Afternoon too be Ruined .

Thought food was expensive for what it was - pub grub, don't get me wrong, this is what we wanted, but we didn't expect it to be so pricey

Excellent pub and grill. Staff brilliant pub clean and inviting. We went not under the best circumstances as it was a buffet after a funeral but the food was excellent. The smell of the griddle was enough to make us want to go back which we definitely will.

Run out of Sunday dinners at 4,00 on a Sunday. Was told we had received a phone call to say that but they hadn't.

Beautiful plentiful food. Mixed grill was cooked perfectly and along with peppercorn sauce was great. Our waitress Abbie was very polite and looked after us well. Great value and worth another trip! Been again today and this time served by Grace. Never seen a waitress work so hard. Definitely keep coming back with this service. Oh and the new big burger is really nice!!

We went for new year's eve fantastic night out

30th December 2023, our party of seven booked an early New Years meal @5 pm, we had a very enjoyable meal, made extra special as our waitress was Amelia who was exceptional. We did have an issue with one main course, these things can happen, however Amelia very quickly sorted it out and was happy to do so. The customer facing skills Amelia showed give credit to Amelia and her training. We will be back

Good pub and I particularly enjoy the bacon and cheese fries. Right next to a busy road that can be loud but you don't notice it. Good selection of drinks on offer as well.
