Staff are lovely and will do the most they can to make your experience a lovely one. The bar display has had a revamp and I'm looking forward to spending summer evenings here.

Popped in for lunch, was very impressed with the speed of service, food was piping hot and delicious! Will definitely be returning, and a great outdoor space too, very clean!

We were a party of 10 that had booked for a get together. We all had different meals from the menu and all were great value. 3 of us had the roast dinners, lamb, beef & turkey and we were all impressed. One of the tastiest we've had, matching a homemade dinner. Proper roast potatoes and parsnips. Served with good selection of vegetables. Nicely cooked Yorkshire pudding. Meat was tender accompanied with plenty gravy. All our meals were served together and hot. The staff are always friendly and we felt relaxed, not rushed. We will definitely be back.

Friendly and helpful staff but the food was OK not amazing. However had I been to the ladies before I ate then I would have left immediately. For an early evening weeknight the toilets were a disgrace.

Food was amazing, cooked to perfection, and decent portion sizes. I had the lamb shank, it literally melted off the bone, and my friend had the steak and she said it was perfect. Service was fast and efficient and the lovely guy who served us, Matthew I believe his name is, was so polite and thorough. Very enjoyable meal. Thank you all x would definitely recommend to friends and family

Used to he great, now the food is tasteles, basic overpriced food. Staff matched around "looking busy" but not actually doing anything.

Had very good experience, family of 4 table booked, table was ready very friendly staff, the food was very tasty 1x Sunday dinner, 1 fish n chips and 2 kids meals all very nice, then 3 sweets ordered that were also very nice, highly recommend and friendly staff thank you

If you want to take a dog in a pub, this is the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was served promptly, reasonably priced and all fine.

Came here for date night with my wife. First time we have been out in 3 years due to my illness which left me housebound. We ordered through the greene king app and was a terrible experience. We ordered meals at 8:40pm only for a member of staff to come at 8:50 to inform us that they cannot make our meals as the cook had turned off the grill. The app and the pub advertise they serve food until 9pm so as you can imagine was not happy at all. They processed the refund however I have to wait up to 10 days for the money back. We left the pub hungry and extremely disappointed with just an apology and the staff member saying there was nothing they could do. Customer service was terrible.

Food was great along with the service.

I had roast beef. It was all from the outside of the roast, very crispy. I like crispy outside but some of it was too hard. A piece from the inside would have beeen nice. One potato was too hard to eat. The vegetables were way over cooked. The other people enjoyed the pie, but the broccoli was cooked to mush. The hunters chicken .was nice.

Visited on a Monday dinner time. Pre booked a table. Clean and tidy pub. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Parking at the side and rear. We enjoyed our meals. If your a pie lover, then I would recommend the steak and ale pie. Will visit again.

Visited The Three Ponds at lunchtime hoping to get 4 meals on the 2 for £14.49p menu to take away. Greeted at the bar by AMY who's always friendly and approachable. Asked the question and she said unfortunately they didn't have any takeaway boxes until Thursday. She then said give me a minute and disappeared into the kitchen on her return she said the chef SIMON would plate the meals up and cover with silver foil so I could take them away. Wow what service the only stipulation was I returned the plates!! There was an issue with my payment but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently by ELINOR causing no problem to me. If you've not yet visited the Three ponds I can highly recommend it. The service, friendly nature of the members of staff is excellent.

Great "seniors" meal today. Along with brill service,especially from Ashley,this was a nice meal. Not widely advertised in the pub,the seniors menu is really good value for money.🙂

Great pub with great value pub grub. Added this update on 16/1/24 to praise the young staff who served us. They are a credit to the pub and to Greene King. But we still can't stand the high up chairs and tables, you only need to look around to see people choose the standard seats first..... why has this trend caught on.

Booked the Three Ponds for a weekday/ mid afternoon family gathering. The buffet was great value and good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend also convenient location with lots of transport links.

It's a pub right next to the main road and traffic lights. Large cat park. Massive outdoor eating and play area. Indoors a restaurant area. Pub menu. Good service .

Booked a table for 8 over the Christmas period for a family get-together. We brought two dogs with us, and both were welcomed. The food was excellent, as was the service. And the price of the food was spot on. The staff were very friendly. I'd recommend this place to everyone.

This is our local would love a pub to have a good atmosphere and food when will it happen never.We have had numerous vouchers because the food is not good.

Went in on the Friday night before Christmas, really surprised how empty this was having been to a few other pubs earlier in the evening. Maybe people ate and left.

Excellent dining. We booked a table for new years eve 1pm. Our food was absolutely delicious (Lamb shank). Fantastic service from staff. Was shocked that it was not very busy. But we enjoyed our visit.

Our families of 6 adults have just enjoyed a wonderful 3 course festive menu. The service and food were both excellent. Special thanks to Amy, Lisa, Eleanor and Matt who were all very attentive. Many thanks team 👏👏 we shall return x

First visit today with a friend and 2 children about 5 o'clock. Was fairly busy and managed to get a table straight away, ordered the 2 meals for £14.95 and wasn't disappointed 😃 the food was hot and tasted fab!!!! The children also had the 2 meals and was also pleased so 5 * for food and service the staff were really helpful and pleasant 😃. The pub itself was nice and the only thing I would say that needs upgrading is the toilets as the decor deffo needs a new lick of paint!!!! Overall fab food and service, not overpriced and deffo will be returning again 😃

Yes not bad food ! Can't believe they had 2 X waitresses and 1 cook on ! Lisa smoothed things over with her friendly approach to a busy bar, and our excellent waitress attended to our orders, good selection of craft beers well done Three pounds 😁

We were there with our family including two young grandchildren. A very disappointing meal. I complained about the battered fish and they cooked me another but that was the same. It was mostly batter and a very thin layer of fish. My husband’s steak was over cooked. He ordered medium. No one came over to ask if everything was ok. The children should have had ice cream as part of the kid’s meal deal. We waited and waited. I eventually had to go to the bar to ask for it. Again we waited until the children were too tired and we couldn’t wait any longer. We will not be going to this pub/restaurant again.

Can't really comment on the atmosphere, quite empty on a Friday afternoon but the gammon was really good.

10 of us went to the Three Ponds for lunch on a Thursday. Not too busy, so that suited us. We had a mixture of choices from the Pensioners 3 courses for less than £10. Pub classics priced between £8.99 and 14.79. . We all had empty plates. Food for the 10 of us was just under £100 Excellent value. Service couldn't be faulted . Well done all involved with looking after us. 😀

I visited at 6:30 pm with 2 friends. We ordered 2X fish and chips and 1X salmon fishcakes. After a 40 minute wait , we were very disappointed. The fishcakes had hardly any salmon in them and were dry. As for the fish , one was quite grey inside and the other was overcooked. We were able to voice our concerns to the young lady who served us and were told it was due to being short staffed. No excuse really .

Very disappointing. Went to celebrate a birthday with family, ordered a round of drinks and a glass of water, and didn't bring the water. No mashed potatoes, which is surprising for a Sunday and doing roast dinners! Asked for peas instead of mash for the children's meal and for a milk drink. The meal came with chips which we didnt want and we had to ask for the drink as we didn't get it The BBQ burger was supposed to come with beer cheese sauce, but we just got BBQ sauce The chips were luke warm Ordered 2 cheesecakes, but they only had one left so asked for ice cream (which was cheaper and we did not get a refund!!) Nobody came to check if everything was alright with the meal. Overall a very underwhelming experience and we won't be rushing back.

After ringing and booking a table for a party of 20 we arrived and was all scattered about in tables of 4, it was so disappointing,we had to drag tables about to all be seated together as a family as it was a birthday celebration. I could go on explaining how they ran out of salad,ran out of Madri,ran out of forks! When the food was bought out all the plates were extremely hot so we all had our hands burnt because we wasn't told they were hot and the staff just held the plates out for us to get off them. Not impressed at all with the service however the food was decent.

Not been for a few years and seen some reviews saying how good it was, how wrong can people be. Service was not good nobody seems to be in charge. My starter came and had to wait for the other person start, had to ask where it was and it’s seems to be a inconvenience to them. Had a bit of a wait for our mains which was not worth waiting for. I would avoid going here for something to eat. We won’t ever be going back, a lot of better places to go and eat I would rather go to the Nelson and Railway any day of the week.

I’ve been here many time in the day . But not at night ,I just want to say there were a lot of us last night for my nieces birthday and this pub was spot on . Food was beautiful and to say how busy it was and had been we didn’t have to wait long . The staff were so lovely especially the lady that came to our table to take our order . Wasn’t rushed at all . Visited today with my sister x everything was faultless ! We had the gammon nicest I’ve ever had had the small desert Eton mess and a cappuccino! Compliments to the chef ! Staff very friendly particularly the young man behind the bar Will definitely visit again

Messed up the order but to be fair the food was good

The staff appeared rush of their feet, but they were always cheerful and helpful. Two meals for just under £15 were excellent value. Parking was easy. My friend had a vegan meal which she said was excellent.

I didn't go but only because I either only walked or bussed by. Tracker too sensitive. 3 ponds is a fine place.

Had the gammon egg and chips good service and friendly staff

We went to the 3 Ponds tonight on the spur of the moment which is not usual for us, even though it is our local. It was a lovely night weather wise and the garden was fairly busy, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We had a bottle of wine, the squid starter to share and then the specials menu, fish cakes & schnitzel, it was absolutely faultless. There didn’t seem to be many staff on but the service and professionalism was great and if they were stressed it didn’t show. What a great team, couldn’t ask for more, keep up the great work!

Nice clean bar area but the outside seating was full of empty glasses and crockery left on tables but lots of staff on shift. ordered food came out in around 10 mins katso curry was good but the Hunters chicken was poor quality dry chicken and really fatty bacon

Had a lovely lunch in the beer garden in the sun. Food was great. The place is nice and clean with great staff. The lady behind the bar( sorry didn't get her name) remembered what I'd ordered from the time before, and chloe who gave us our lunch was lovely. Will definitely come again.

Great lunch here with friends. Good value on the Pub Classics. Very tasty and good portion size. Great friendly staff. Very impressed with the gammon steak, which was not dry or too salty. Would recommend.

Had lunch there today with my sister and an old friend I was hoping the meal would be good as it was my choice of restaurant I should not have worried as all three meals were really good.My gammon was the best I’d ever eaten in any other restaurant it melted in your mouth ,my friend had the hunters chicken and my sister the chicken salad they both said there’s were lovely to there’s not much to say about the staff as they are always very friendly and welcoming.

Very good loads better service than previous visits, really enjoyed it the staff are very good and attentive without being intrusive, good selection on the drinks the Menu has plenty of choice, opted for the beef and ale pie which was fantastic mash superb with a nice bit of broccoli and extra pot of gravy 👌

Not been here for years, but thought it'd make a change. The Manager(/) was a very friendly and polite lady. The food - not bad, actually, surprisingly. The place LOOKED clean (the toilets were spotless), but the tables and bar were sticky and grubby - I think they'd been wiped, but obviously with a dirty cloth. Overall, OK.

Came here for drinks, lots of outside and inside seating. Pool table inside and kids play area outside. Very clean and staff were polite and attentive.

Went early evening for supper - two of us - not booked . Young staff - very friendly and efficient - had the Schnitzel with Bravas sauce and skin on fries, with a garnish of cherry toms, feta , green stuff with pesto dressing - totally scrumptious . Friend had cheese fish cakes - similar response (with grilled lemon) . Both off specials menu. The main 'shout -out' is for Ian - funny, efficient and a good salesman! Also Elinor and Chell for their 'service with a smile' - appreciated. We had a relaxed meet up, lovely food and would go again - sadly I no longer live in the are, just visiting, so it will be a while till I return - thanks Ian and colleagues - nice, relaxed, no fuss evening .

Perfect little pub family favourite for nearly 40 years

First visit for a while,but was very happy with the food and service we received.Had the 3 course meal for £8.49?..A nice bowl of soup with bread and butter,a choice of main meals(not massive,but what can you expect for the price)and finally a choice of sweet.We had apple and blackberry crumble with custard. Perfect food, excellent locafion, lovely pub with a massive beer garden & great food. Cannot wait to go back. Definitely converted! Chicken strips were lush as other reports have said. Burgers great Staff lovely Drinks flowing and just all in all a great experience.

Good food and atmosphere, although the pool table crowd can be a bit rowdy. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. Feels like they need a few more staff to assist, especially with clearing tables and cleaning

Been here on numerous occasions and always enjoy the food and service. This visit our server was Chellie who was very friendly and the chef Simon is a credit to the company, all the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

My mum regularly pops in off the M1 and really rates the staff. I didn't speak to staff myself but the food came out really quickly, was hot and tasty, and they made accommodations for my step dad to have beans with his fish and chips rather than peas which was above and beyond 💖

Started going in this pub a few months back after not going in for years die to the food being pants but was impressed recently till we went yesterday offered the hunters chicken which I'd had before and was goosbut yesterday it came out dry...

Been here a few years ago for a drink. Going forward maybe 20 years and we visited again for food and drink this time. Not busy this time which sited me after a hard day's graft. But there was still a good atmosphere. Staff were brilliant and the food was amazing. But we only came here because we had a Groupon voucher which made our visit cheaper than it would have been if we hadn't had a voucher. I think if the prices were cheaper then we would come more often and maybe not visit our usual pub which is cheaper and does home made food. I won't name it cos its not fair. But all in all, nice pub and nice food three ponds!
