Good selection of food. Fast service, clean venue.

Poor and slow service. It was a busy Saturday night and the staff seemed over stretched and badly prepared. I was surprised that the food wasn't better and the portions bigger. Save your money and go to Weatherspoons!

We visited corn mill after a walk around Attenborough nature reserve. The restaurant is clean, cosy and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Adam he looked after us and was very professional in his role! Great service, tasty Sunday roast and nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.

I recently visited The Cornmill with my wife and eldest son after picking him up from work, intending to have a family meal. We settled at a table, and after about 15 minutes, a manager approached and asked my son for ID. He didn’t have it with him (as he doesn’t carry his driving licence everywhere). They said they would remove his drink; I pointed out that they will not as have I had paid for it and would drink it myself, and they agreed. Unfortunately, our server then made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Every few minutes they would walk by and stare at our table, almost as if they were looking for trouble. This happened repeatedly, even though we’re a normal family simply browsing the menu. It got so awkward that we decided to leave before even ordering any food. While I understand the importance of checking IDs, the way it was handled and the continual scrutiny afterward was so incredibly off-putting and unwelcoming. We left feeling disappointed and sadly as friends and family members, will not be returning. If The Cornmill wants to retain customers, they should have their staff focus more on genuine hospitality rather than making patrons feel like they’re under constant suspicion.

Had dinner at the Corn Mill and had a disappointing meal. The pub is a nice environment and the staff are friendly and attentive so there was nothing not to like about the venue. Greene King pubs usually meet a good stand, but the steak I ordered fell short of my expectations. This was the 10oz Ribeye which one of the more expensive options and turned out to be the worst I have had for a couple of years. Presentationally the meal was fine and the steak cooked as I ordered, so perhaps I was just unlucky to receive a tough and chewy lump of meat. I also ordered some beer burnt ends as an accompaniment which were fatty and not worth the additional money. I guess with steak you get what you pay for. I could pay 30% more at another restaurant which really would give me something to complain about out if the meal was bad. I will return so don’t be put off. The pub is good, but the steak is not.

Enjoyed visiting here, was fairly busy but service was good. Plenty of seating, spread out so far enough apart from the next table. Prices are reasonable.

Good place for a quick bite to eat or to meet friends and catch up. Only minor gripe is poor beer selection with nothing Belgian stocked but apart from that all good

Lovely pub, fantastic service and atmosphere. However we (of 8 people 5 had burgers) didn't reckon much to their 'signature' burgers. Nothing special, and expensive for what you get. Also received a few green ended chips- I know it's not a big deal but why would you let them go out on the plate!?

I’ve given it some time from all the changes with management to see how’s it’s doing, I had previously given 5stars and now dropped it to 2. The standards have dropped majorly and I’ve reduced the times I go there now because of this. Very disappointing considering it was a 5 start to me. Reduced again. The place is getting worse. What are greenking playing at. Now a 1 star. Greenling sort this place out. As a once regular it’s nowhere near as good as it was, footfall is a lot less that how it used to be and a lot of regulars have left.

This was a nice pub on a Sunday afternoon for a mixed grill with friends. We got our AA member discount on the food. (Set device brightness full and hold it a bar-width from the reader). The atmosphere was good. Impressed.

The food are very terrible. I went there with my friend and family. We with we can have e a fantastic experience. Sadly the food was super terrible. I order a Burger and the beef are so dry and the burger also taste bad. The chips was not hot enough and not crispy. The ice cream also very bad. But we spend over £30 of one person. I had a bad experience in this restaurant

Sever taking our order had no understanding of what gluten free was. Consistently went to the kitchen to ask questions regarding our concerns but came back with random answers to different questions. Wrong main course then arrived, we agreed to keep the wrong main as we wanted to start our meals together and everyone else had food. The wrong main course was then also stone cold. On our way out a waitress accosted us and accused us of not paying our tab. When she checked and realised we had in fact payed our bill there was no attempt at an apology, she merely shrugged her shoulders and walked away.

The food was nice enough. But the service was poor.

Edit [Updated 16/12]: I reached out to the team following their response, but received no further response so assume it's just for show. Food Standards Agency contacted and premises visited. Definitely won't risk returning. Gave both myself and my partner food poisoning. Avoid the squid... Actually, avoid the entire menu.

The lady behind the bar was fantastic. The other staff including the younger ladies were also good. The food was fabulous and I cannot wait to come back.

Regular in the pub so know all the staff. Great meet n greet, lovely festive set table. Manager guided me on wines and promoted the Offers I asked about. Patient whilstbibwaited for our 3rd person and no rush to get out pre ordered set menu starter out so we could relax first. Food was exceptionally food for a festive meal (my expectations aren't high at this time of year!). Decent portion sizes and the main was fantastic, 5 veg! Roast potatoes were proper Roasted not anaemic, turkey was plentiful and tasty. Faultless, and I don't compliment food that easily. Fab value at £26 per head. Keep it up. We do this every year as the pub is our local but this was the best so far by miles.

Great food , lovely atmosphere and even though it was busy with the festive menu being served , the service was fantastic , and the staff were really friendly especially James . No matter how busy he was , he still found time to talk to the customers . We will be back

Not the best Ordered off the lunchtime menu It’s not worth it I had gammon my plate was swimming in water The apple crumble was awful The skillet wasn’t deep It was a very flat layer of apple and it wasn’t crumble it was s layer of oats and the custard was on like warm. I did mention it at the bar about the crumble and was told that’s the way it comes I simply was not a crumble

We have the lunch two course meal my husband had mix grill sticky toffee pudding was really good I had salmon new potatoes apple crumble also very nice only one small complaint the salmon would looked little more appetising with a few green peas or small green salad to give a little colour but apart from that will definitely go back

Staff were incredible, food was top notch, beers flowed perfectly. Can’t compliment the staff highly enough, the way they looked after our entire night was brilliant. An excellent team who were attentive to everything we needed. Will be back soon.

What a lovely experience my colleague and I had when visiting this pub over 2 nights. The food was great and there was a very good menu to choose your options from. You’ll have to see the photos for what we or I ordered but the value for money was brilliant. We left with full bellies and very happy for the whole experience, our waitress was a girl called Tegan who was very pleasant and polite who gave us a run down of the menu and what she would recommend also. Tegan was extremely professional and ensured that we had all that we needed for our meal and ensured we never ran out of drinks on both nights. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area for a work meeting or even if you live local.

This is now one of my favourite pubs! The food is always excellent, the staff are all lovely, and there is a great atmosphere. The pub is large enough that there are enough seating options for big groups, families, and couples who want a bit if intimacy. The food is great quality with lots of options for various diets including vegetarians and vegans, plus delicious kids’ options. Easily accessible and affordable, very much recommended!

The Corn mill has a great atmosphere and delicious food choices. The staff are professional, friendly and very accommodating. The entertainment is lively with some great bands

Amazing food I had a steak pie and my husband had a burger both absolutely delicious. Our server Adam was so polite and nothing was too much trouble, we definitely will be visiting again.

Very disappointed to be greeted by fruit machines and tv screens, avoid if this is not your preferred environment, the food was not compensating for this although the staff were friendly.

Sunday lunch very good for a decent roast dinner. Emily was our waitress and was very professional and cheerful. Alternative meals on the menu was also very tempting. Our desserts were also spot on.

Went yesterday for drinks and a meal with friends . 3 out of the 4 starters were ok. The 4th didn't arrive with the other 3, and we had to ask where it was. Then, onto the main course, the chips were luke warm at best, and then we were told that the other main was dropped in the kitchen and had to be remade it was then brought out and it was totally the wrong order so had to wait again for the correct order. Adam, our waiter was really apologetic but wasn't down to him . This has got to be the worst experience we've had at the Corn Mill very dissatisfied

As a visitor to Beeston I was unaware of this eatery , I was so pleased I decided to eat there with my wife . The menu choice was excellent , both my wife and I had grilled salmon on top of a very healthy and wholesome salad . BUT , W hat made it even more perfect was the outstanding service from Hugh and Beth , Nothing was too much trouble , thank you ...

Mivel breakfast for a good price. Service was great, we were served by the lovely Adam who was very friendly. Love the decor too.

Had a good atmosphere,good selection of beers,some cask food pretty typical of the brand but was very well cooked,I had the rump steak and my wife had gammon which was a little salty for our taste but a very nice overall experience,staff were attentive and friendly

Staff seem so miserable they take it out on customers No help when ask for it And have a don't give a damn attitude when serving you , When it's busy you are rush at your table to eat and move on ... It's usually my favourite spot. The staff are usually pretty good. Nice lady (brunette) served us at the bar and another nice lady (blonde) waitress. They were amazing and friendly. A red head waitress came up to our table and asked us if we had been served and we said yes we ordered at the bar. She said okay in a 'what I waste of time' way. We brushed it off. Then the red head and another waitress (brunette) started moaning about their colleagues and boss very loudly near our table. It was very disruptive. We decided to ask about a Christmas slots, so we wanted to see the manager (bald guy with glasses with a glazed look on his face like he just came from an argument). He walked by us three times within ear shot and we politely called him out and he straight blanked us. The red head and the brunette waitress spoke to us to talk about the any cancelations at the computer area. But we were so shocked by the manager and two other staff member's behaviour we just left. The manager gave off a negative vibe. Weird body language. Let us know when there's a change of manager. Dude was having IMS or something.

Had a lovely visit. A regular eatery for us when we are in the area, and they have moved to full table service since our last visit. Our waitress, Emily, was lovely, and very attentive. Ordered steak and ale pie and grilled salmon, both well cooked, arrived nicely warm, and very tasty!

We had a meal yesterday 25th August we were very disappointed to see the steak was half the size than expected, it was certainly not 8 ounces.

I love coming to the Corn Mill. The food is always superb and a lovely homely atmosphere. I had the steak and ale pie with chips and mushy peas, it was delicious. I know other family members were impressed with their grilled salmon. Well priced. Would highly recommend. Our server was Emily on the 12.8.24. She was very polite and looked after us well.

Me & the family went in here for something to eat on a sat at about 7.30pm & it was pretty busy. The food was delicious, 1 of us had steak & it was cooked to perfection, exactly how it was asked to be cooked. Everyone's food was perfect & all plates were empty. The food was better than your average Greene King pub. All the staff was polite & friendly. I would definitely eat here again.

The person josh that served us tonight at 7pm was brilliant, good customer service skills never stopped smiling 😃 nothing a problem, others were good too but he was the main one from beginning to end.

Visited last night following recommendations and we were very disappointed. Salmon Salad, Salmon meal, Halloumi Salad only 1 meal available, so that was disappointing. The service was slow and one waitress needs to improve her customer service skills. We won't be returning.

All good except always a bit slow getting your coffee to you. A very good range of well kept beer.

I've visited before but not for breakfast so decided to give it a go. It was nice and quiet when we arrived and we chose a table near the window. Our server was called Adam and he greeted us with a nice friendly smile, and asked us if we wanted to order drinks, which we did so he duly took our order, we then decided to order our food at the same time. Adam repeated our orders back to us, ensuring that he had it right, which he did. Our drinks arrived first, then our food not long after and it was very pleasing on the eye. Adam came and did a table check asking if the food was ok, which it was. The only thing that let it down was the fact that the table was sticky, apart from that it was spot on. When I went to sort the bill at the bar I was seen to right away by a member of staff who was also pleasant and chatty.

Come here quite regularly. Nice weather this time so decided to sit outside. Sat at four different tables and all of them were dirty, sticky or full of used glasses. Not attempt made to clean them by the waitress. So gave up and went inside to eat. The waitress was just walking past these tables and ignored them. Very important to keep eating ares clean nowadays!

Decent enough but lacks a vibe. Its one of those places where you dont meet anyone you didn't come in with. Monday is good though as its cheap cask ale night. Food is decent & I would class it more as an eatery than bar. That said it has been showing the Euros. Nothing wrong with the place.

Popped in whilst staying away with work. Food was lovely with a good portion size. Prices not too bad. Service was good even though it was very busy. I was there quite early so there was a few children running around.

We were a group stopping at the nearby Village Inn, but after our food experience last time decided to give the Corn Mill a try. An excellent decision. Good food, excellent prices, good atmosphere. Quick and efficient service. Staff very welcoming. Will be returning here again next time.

This had been a family get together for a bite to eat & a few drinks.. With coffees to follow. I've got to say the Gluten free 10oz rib eye steak I had ordered, was cooked to perfection & I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Hubby had sized up on the mixed grill & my Step-Daughter had the steak sandwich.. Not a morsal was left, each plate cleared. There had been an initial mistake on my order, as a battered onion ring had been added to my plate..whoops. But the server immediately understood my concerns, my plate was whisked away, with an apology & the assurance that a fresh steak was being prepared for me. My meal arrived quickly, medium rare as I'd ordered. It was a visibly different steak served the 2nd time. Different shape & larger than the 1st..bonus..👍 So not just a case of the 1st meal being replated. I have Coeliac disease, so a big style intolerance to gluten containing items. Not just a dietary fad.. So it was reassuring to me, that the recognised the issues around cross contamination. I will definitely eat here again & I'm happy to recommend to others 5🌟

It was quite busy on Sat afternoon but we didn't have to wait long. The food was served within a reasonable time and was very delicious! It's definitely worth visiting!

This pub has been ruined by the amount of tv’s and the sky sports that is presented. We went in there with friends and was greeted by Sports coverage and the amount of very well oiled people shouting and swearing at the top of their voices. Young kids running around with footballs in front of the bar. This used to be a very nice pub, but now ruined by drunken yobs who just want to watch sport and shout at the screens. We had one drink and walked out, a terrible experience.

Booked here for our daughter’s birthday lunch. Was greeted by a young lady on the bar before she fetched James assistant manager. We were on table 12 which James added a table to join up as there was quite a few of us. No need to order at the bar now as it’s table service which I found much better than before. Our meals were top notch no complaints at all. Soft music playing in the back ground. We all had a lovely time. Thank you James and staff for your hospitality highly recommended.
