Staff got meal wrong ,young lads on today sat ,don't know what they doing ,they want better training ,never going in there again .been in better weatherspoons

Has become disgusting. Tables always full of empty plates and glasses . Staff busy and no one clears tables. Avoid at all costs

Breakfast and a drink , had a nice visit

Big place, clean and well decorated. Staff were attentive. Food was quick and hot.

Nipped in for a quick coffee on our way into Nottingham and chanced upon this place. Perfectly adequate for what we needed. Couple of coffees in a nice pub and then off we went perfectly happy with the service.

It's OK...that's about it. Service was blah, Wetherspoons food is getting worse..stick to the breakfast and you'll be fine..anything else is poor and not worth the money.

Excellent service and consistently good value food. A good every-day restaurant. Update 10 March 24: still excellent service and value. Great that they had lots of free tables on Mothers Day, but I did need to clear away the previous customer's plates... Ordering on the Wetherspoons app is always the best way.

Friendly wetherspoons nice lay out

Nice place, a bit different. If you like old sailed warships this is the place for you, especially the gents toilets, very good.

Very slow service, extremely rude staff, was also given a euro as change instead of a pound, was extremely rude when I asked them to exchange it. Go somewhere else food cold also.

It's Saturday 2nd March, afternoon. This place is a disgrace. Not one table cleared, ten minutes to get a drink. On the app. It's disgusting.... think there are new staff ..not enough clearly and not trained. Change the Manager. Put in someone who knows what they're at ....

Nice brekkie(as always),long wait to order and filthy table,seem understaffed before midday(Saturdays),head office take note as staff are brill !!

Leans very heavily into a nautical theme for a spoons in a landlocked county.

Came for breakfast and great value for money, quick service and not too noisy. Staff friendly and extra helpful. Accommodating for our sen child food wise too. Free refill on drinks is a great bonus. Thank you!

For a wetherspoons it was very nice. been disappointed it's somewhere you can go anytime and have a decent drink and some reasonably priced food.

Food was terrible asked for small fish and chips and got what looked like a sardine in batter others in our party didn't enjoy there food either

Doesn't feel as open and livery as other wetherspoons I've visited as has rooms which are shut off from main area but still had a nice buzz, could do with more bench areas. Nice large bar was served quickly and pleasantly. Food was a disappointment, I've had a lot better from other spoons.

A big fan of Wetherspoon's here. I have to say that this one is the best I've been to. It's not as tired as a lot of others, it's new and modern with great looking bar. Food is as usual mostly microwave cooking but it's still really decent and for that price with nice pint on top of it you can't go wrong 😎

I went against my better judgement and went for cheap drinks and food at the local spoons. Wish I hadn't bothered. We took the first available table as all the free ones had leftover plates on them ours included. Was with a fussy eater and tried for 10 minutes to get someone's attention to ask a question before ordering in case they couldn't change a menu item. Finally got their attention and she answered politely but didn't clear the table when asked. Went up to the bar and ordered with another polite staff member. After ordering I asked if she could get the table cleared she mumbled a yeah and walked off to serve the next person. When our food came out we had been sat at the table for almost an hour and still hadn't had anyone clear the table. We asked the food runner to clear the table as we had already asked two other people and he said it was our fault for sitting at a dirty table! To which I replied that it was the only option when we got here to which he went off in a huff. This pub is a "fancy" modern spoons, but won't be back. I'll take my money to the Beeston spoons which is traditional spoons offering - at least I know what I'm getting there and the staff are much more friendly. As someone who works in the local pub trade, it takes me a lot to leave a review online preferring to get the issue fixed there and then. This time however this failed on all levels. Tim Martin I think your staff need some basic customer service skills.

I'd been told it was a decent "Spoons". It's not 'terrible', but just a little lack lustre. Certainly is a locals pub, but if you need a burger and a pint with no fuss or airs and graces, not a bad shout.

It was ok compared to other Wetherspoons. Service was not the quickest even though it was quiet. Food was good except for the poached egg(undercooked and from an anemic chicken). Hence only 4 out of 5.

Where in the world can you not even sit outside with a dog and have a breakfast …unbelievable

What you come to expect from a decent wethers. Decent cheap food. The decor in this place is excellent and really sets it apart from most.

Tables desperately need clearing, none emptied at all during our hour stay.

One of the better Wetherspoons locally, but still would prefer to support local independent pubs. That said, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this place except that this place proves that spoons don't always deliver good value as there is a micropub opposite that has much better atmosphere and personalised service and it's only about 50p more for a pint in there.

It is an excellent place in Stapleford for breakfast.

Went for breakfast but not available. Lunch was brought forward but that was not what I had gone for

I had a big breakfast, for what I paid the food was fairly good. What let it down was the butter was like water when you opened the sachet and I couldn't open those ridiculous sachets of brown sauce. Apart from that the service and atmosphere was very good.

Really nice place with good food what more can you say.

The curry was so good we went back 2 days later for a 2nd curry. Coffee was also great. The staff were great Thank you.

Good prices (as usual with 'spoons) and good selection of beers. Staff generally OK, but the clientelle often leave a lot to be desired. Avoid late Fridays and Saturdays around pay days.

Popped in for a quick pint of Doom Bar on the way home from a 3 mile walk..

Located along the main street of Stapleford. The historical building is nicely decorated and well maintained.... need more staff to help clear t and clean up tables. It's quite a busy and popular pub with the locals during meal times

Best pub in the area, food great and good value. Staff always helpful. One time my daughter was worried food wouldn't come in time, a member of staff overheard, reassured us and went to follow up on order. Was out a minute later

Was very disappointed I couldn't get non alcoholic drink, ie wine or gin, as you advertise plenty of beer and cider for men, as a lady who hates beer larger and cider not good , a lot of people on medication that prevents drinking alcohol On a positive note you do the best scampi and chips

Went in for a quick drink with my daughter and grandson. Service without a smile from a miserable battleaxe in blue. She came up about 5 / 10 minutes later to ask my daughter to stop her 21 month old son to stop moving about the place. Place wasn't busy and know one else seemed bothered .what a miserable cow. I'm sure the place is much nicer when she is not working ☹☹☹

I love this pub it is by far an amazing place to have THE BEST! chicken tikka masala also it's so cheap and so close that if your not feeling like cooking hop over here for good food and drinks

It's a "Spoons" so it does what it says . Beer and food are good value it's a basic no frills offering.

Possibly the worst service I've ever encounted at a pub. The bar staff are clueless and ignorant.

Its a typical Whetherspoons pub!!!!!

Went in the other day for a cheeky pint with the wife n kids, was really looking forward to me abbot's and had a lady called Karen serve me, her attitude was atrocious!! The pint had a reddiculous head on it, I tried to get a new one but was met with "babs that's how it's supposed to be"... You're having laugh! The kids are traumatised, the wife was crying and all I could smell was cheese and onion crisps!! Another man called Fred shared my opinions.

Cant stand the plank of an owner of weatherspoons but you have to admit the pubs are good value. Great range of beers kept well and at very good prices. Food is nothing special but good value, you get what you pay for, as you'd expect from weatherspoons.

Mid week visit to this splendid pub was worth a couple of pints with friends, very busy inside, but excellent quick service, what's not to like.
