Trowell Garden Centre Cafe in Broxtowe

Great garden centre well stocked. Our second visit, we will be back. Cafe is also well recommended.

First thing we did was to go for a full English breakfast 🍳 Excellent meal and then onto buying plants etc for our garden, all at a fair price and decent quality.

The best Garfen Centre in Nottingham. They sell everything and their not expensive. A fair price.

Big area to see things to buy. Display of goods haphazard Area for refreshments large, very noisy.

Loving the fig and fern, No Kids or dogs, good food and service

Very disappointed in the Cafe only just 2pm no jacket potato so ordered fish then told after paid for it only 2 fish and there are 3 of us, shouldn’t offer things if you can’t cope with the demand. How are you supposed to order at the counter and decide on alternatives when your family are sat at the table. Lesson learned

What a fantastic garden centre, huge range so make sure you have plenty of boot space!!

Fab coffee shop, doggie friendly outside. Plenty of tables in and out. Decafe tea good and coffee good. Selection of cakes good. Fig and Fern cafe area now opened up and it looks ideal for coffee and cake. Toilets in store. Fab Selection of plants at reasonable prices and everything else you can think of!

Very nice garden centre but the new cafe is expensive. Didn’t realise it wasn’t part of the other cafe. Won’t be using it again. Cappuccino (small) over £4.

Huge garden centre, they do an excellent job decorating/catering for the relevant time of the year. Pricing isn't great as is mostly the case in these sorts of places but a good way to spend some time as a family. You can feed the fish for just £1 which is probably the best £1 you will spend for little ones these days

It was a lovely garden centre in general but when I went to the cafe fig and fern I had to wait 25minutes for my sausage roll and water.they came and said our ticket was lodged at the back of the machine and they didn’t notice until they had no sausage rolls left in the end I got a refund and never got my water.everything else is great

Went into the cafe for lunch. It was packed (school holidays) but still manged to find a free table. The service was very quick and the food was tasty. The chilli had a nice kick to it and the salad was fresh. The onion was cut into thin slices, which some places don't manage! Well done!

Visited a little over a week ago and was surprised at how expensive they've become. Over £33 for 2 fish and chips and one coffee. And it wasn't that good. Won't be going again.

Currently in a refit removing Christmas from shelves. Getting ready for spring. Cafe is still very good. Recently opened is the Fig & Fern for lite bites and coffee at the moment, a more relaxed and quiet environment. Assistance dogs only, a more upmarket area to enjoy your visit to this award winning garden centre. Been today for lunch, very enjoyable. All now seems to be straight for spring. Very busy around 12 mid day.

Don't bother paying for a 24hr delivery service when ordering online, as they take that long to despatch the items you'll still get them 2 days after ordering them no matter how early you order in the day.

Really nice place,clean and tidy,very friendly and helpful staff,good selection of gardens plants,flowers and ornaments.the restaurant was really nice and not too expensive,we had a fantastic trip to it

Rip Off! They are selling the Lumineo Water Fountain for £499 and it's £299 everywhere else! Justify that?! There's no excuse for this! If you like something in that shop, take a photo and Google it; you'll find it cheaper!

Great place to spend a few hours. Has two cafes now: the Digg and the Fig n Fern. The former being more foody and the latter being more coffee and wine.

Usually visit the digg cafe about once a month , but since the new cafe has opened prices have increased since the last visit a few weeks ago.....had quiche which I had requested to be be hot and it was Luke warm when brought to the table . Plenty of staff tho, tradewise was very busy, and staff were clearing tables very quickly which was good to see

The prices are now far too expensive, I know they've got to pay for the new cafe they've just opened but I don't want to pay for it all myself! £4.29for a cappuccino! Also it's more a furniture village than a garden centre now, been going for years but don't think I'll bother again, plenty more around.

Went today with £250 in my pocket to purchase shrubs, bedding plants, ornaments & planters. However due to the 2.1 m height barrier access was impossible in my campervan (my only vehicle). Not only the main carpark but also the overflow also had a barrier. So I drove on to Bardills and spent there instead.

6/10, really nice Toasties from here, even though unsure why they come with crisps and not chips, but went on a Saturday at around 2pm and had to wait a hour for my toastie, other than the long wait, was good.

Fantastic breakfast at a good price. The food was well prepared and the poached egg was perfect. Nice coffee and a good atmosphere. Well worth a visit. The veggie sausages were lovely

Just had coffee at this lovely Garden centre. Excellent customer service in the digg cafe. I spoke to the manager this morning really nice person to talk to with good leadership skills and clearly leeds from the front really good customer service skills who knows how to Intact with the public. This also rubs off on the staff that she has under her. Excellent job guy's keep it up. 👍

Nice garden centre, prices are ok. Staff are very helpful.We ate at the Digg, the chicken burger was over cooked. Very hard and dry inside.

Called at the garden centre today. What a rip off - they are charging higher prices in the new "coffee shop" than the original cafe. I will not be returning.

This place recommended locally but we had to park outside the carparks due to 2.1mtr height barriers. In a motorhome. Don't understand why the overflow carpark, which was empty, could not have been available during opening hours. Must be the first Garden Centre I've ever been to up and down the country with such restrictions. Very disappointing.

What a pleasant experience I had today. The sun was out, I needed lots and I bought more than lots! A great range of really healthy plants, perennials, tiny plug plants or seedlings to nurture on and save money for summer bedding .I did get somewhat carried away, but after unpacking them all, I have no regrets whatsoever, despite spending almost £160! Great staff at the checkout too - a credit to the garden centre xxx

It's changed alot since I last went ....it's brilliant there, we loved our visit. The food was beautiful, the plants are kept to a good standard. Looking forward to the next visit

Fab. I've always loved having a walk around Trowell Garden Centre - and then some food in the DIGG Cafe...... Food is lush here, really fills you up.....😋😋😋😋. I had sweet chilli halloumi wrap with chips and a cuppa.....👍👍👍

Very nice place, easy access… There is a place to stay for the night (there is a very wide street in front of the company on the right side, you can stand there) The company is on the right and the "warehouse" on the left, you have to enter backwards, it's tight... Unloading was very quick, minus one star for entering the unloading area... :)

Top garden centre - smart and modern with lots of things, clothes, jewellery, food, cards etc. Very good outdoor plants area and lots of garden tools etc. The cafe/restaurant is huge and had lovely quiche with very generous salad and lovely fresh scone.

Go check out the Halloween and xmas stuff..it fabulous

Visited the garden centre to buy some fish for our youngest after setting his tank up last week. Nat was brill with us explained everything we needed to know. Couldnt do enough for us really happy and will be back in the next few weeks to add to our tank.

Took my gran (in a wheelchair) to do some shopping and have lunch today. Staff were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to help us, so nice to see ♡ 31/1/2025 Edited to add: finally an indoor dog friendly area in the cafe! We can now visit for lunch all year round! Excellent 😊

Visited the cafe. Lovely selection of hot and cold food. Food was presented well and hot!!! The cafe itself was clean with a good selection of condiments. Staff where clean and tidy also very pleasant,helpful and friendly. Would visit again to look around the garden centre and large gift shop in garden centre

There is plenty of choice, not seen some of the merchandise, try the food, you won't be disappointed.

Met here for a business meeting and was pleased to be surprised by location and decor. There was a long wait for food, so we ended up having a cold snack before finishing the meeting. The business card would not work at these premises, so maybe take that into consideration before using it for a business meeting. Would I go here again... YES!

One of the more better garden centres in the local area

Lots of offers on Christmas stock it was worth a look. Often go here for a look around.

Lovely garden centre, lots to buy and very nice quality, varied items on display. Particularly recommended as a Christmas visit. Cafe serves excellent food and drinks. A great place for a day out and a shopping trip.

The place is really nicely decorated, I heard so much good about the food here so decided to go.......I wasn't impressed at all 30 minutes waiting for an avocado on toast is ridiculous. It was 1 slice of bread with one egg what was hard boiled for £7.99.....

Nice Christmas display but if you are looking for gardening bits as presents it's a waste of time. A few garden tools in a back corner and half of that closed due to workman's scaffolding

The staff need to lose their attitude. It’s a shame that the staff are incredibly unprofessional and rude towards customers. I went today with my family and we cleaned up dog poo. The man came up to us with a face that had more attitude than me. He pulled faces at us, made a sarcastic comment and as we walked out he was gossiping and pointing us out as if we had just committed a crime. The staff are rude and customer service is terrible. If you don’t want to be treated like a second class citizen, don’t go here.

Visited trowell garden centre today. Absolutely amazing. A lot of time & effort put into the display. Took me an hour and half to walk round. The choice and prices are very good. No wonder so many people were there. If you don't go there you don't know what you are missing.

We went to see the Lemax (model Village) display, which was amazing. There's also lots of gifts and decorations, and a cafe.

Great garden centre. The Lemax Christmas village is really festive! Children and adults were in awe of this installation! It must of taken hours to do! Plenty of decorations and gift options. Delicious scones at the cafe alongside other festive treats. Well worth a visit!

Excellent garden centre, but as well as all your gardening stuff, they're in Christmas mode too at the moment with a vast range of Lemax village models to make your very own model Christmas village at home as well as Christmas trees,lights baubles and lots of other Christmas items too numerous to mention here,today was 20% off everything day so was very busy ,there's also a restaurant serving great food too,indoor loos ,plenty of parking space as they now have two car parks, there's disabled parking and wheelchairs if needed so all in all a great place to visit 😀

Loved the garden centre and the staff especially the jewellery section as they bend over backwards to help you in any way they can. Restaurants expensive but aren't they all now.

Took a clock back that didn’t work and got told they couldn’t refund us because of the value .. £19.99 .. they gave us a credit receipt so I went to spend it and couldn’t find anything nice because all that’s sold is over priced food and alcohol & faulty accessories. We won’t be returning to this garden centre👎🏻

Nice garden centre christmas display was excellent

Really nice place, they’ve extended it made a great job. Food snd service very good, now with designated dog friendly areas in the restaurant. Breakfast served till 11:30am then lots of choices for lunch, including cakes.

Loads to see displays we're still going up . My girls age 6 and 9 loved it cafe was nice only complaint was it was a bit more on the expensive side but good range of food.

So festive, has the best decorations and gifts for Christmas (visited in November)

Loved Digg cafe over the years but the prices are now becoming prohibitive. Not sure why my black americano ( decaff) I'd more expensive than my husbands cappuccino. So sad as have always loved it.

Food from the cafe was absolutely bob on. Decent pricing and took under 15 mins to be served piping hot. No complaints ref the Cafe, however, lots of chunky garden furniture etc had been removed to make room for the cafe and sheds removed entirely. Less garden centre, more cafe. Seems odd. A bloke working there looked at me in utter awe and almost disgust when I mentioned people do sit outside when its not Summer. Its like Id come up with an alien concept.

Decent cafe, garden center much the same as every other. Great model collection though.

it's a good sized garden centre with a large cafe, indoor and outdoor sections as you would expect from most decent garden centres, it has a reasonable sized car park with an overflow car park. it does however have some access issues, the entry and exit road is easy to miss for a first timer (I'd suggest you use an active satnav phone or inbuilt) it is also extremely narrow with several choke points with a blind entry/exit point like a very narrow country lane, take it slow, the carparks layout and organisation is also quite poor as you have to snake in rather than it having an outer road

Great place has loads of fabulous things.

Love the Lemax world displays for Halloween and Christmas. Came twice in one week as visited with a friend then had to come back with the children. Ate in the cafe both times which was delicious and well priced. And spent ages looking round the huge range of Christmas decorations and general bits and pieces.

It's such a lovely garden centre which currently has the Lemax world of Halloween and Christmas Villages. Everything is nicely displayed with a range of goodies to purchase

It was my first time at Trowell Garden centre. We stopped in the cafe for breakfast, which was really good. I loved the vegetarian sausages, and the mushrooms were great quality. The bathrooms were clean and in good condition. We then turned our attention to some seasonal shopping. The Christmas and Halloween displays were great and there was some interesting items I hadn’t seen elsewhere.

Nice garden centre, very large restaurant serving a varied menu. Visited when the Christmas decorations were on show plenty to see. A good day out.

Visited to check out bird feeding stations! Very busy in the car park. Couldn't believe the amount of space being given over for Halloween tat, but if people are buying it then fair enough. Busy in the cafe, plenty of tables free, but several hadn't been cleared from previous occupants. Plenty of staff milling about, but apparently clearing tables wasn't their job. More training and supervision required. On the positive side it's still a good garden centre and the food and drinks sold in the cafe are very good.

Stopped off here for a look around and a snack, very nice.

Lovely place to visit! The Christmas displays are beautiful! Will definitely be coming back.
