What a lovely spot for breakfast. Myself and my partner were very impressed. The staff were absolutely lovely… very friendly and accommodating. Cara was amazing. portions were 👌will definitely return.

The cooked meals here are v good ,freshly cooked . Very friendly. It is closing on Saturday for good.

We had walked from Castle Marina along the canal and were ready for a coffee and cake. You're never disappointed here and Tony was on hand to serve us this time.

Poor Service. Awful food Ruined a celebration of a family milestone. Would not recommend anyone to visit. Very disappointed.

Visited twice in a recent stay in Nottingham, both times for breakfast and both times it was lovely. Good was so fresh and tasty and all of us have said the pancakes were the best thick style pancakes we’ve ever eaten on a meal out. Definitely come here!!

Tucked away on a little cobbled street, but can guarantee a big wholesome breakfast. Only about four tables, but you do get served quickly.

I come here on weekly basis with my children, for playgroup and some food at the cafe, I absolutely love it and would recommend to everyone. Such nice staff, lovely warm environment the food is outstanding and at very reasonable prices, the kids love it, got a nice soft play area for them to run around in whilst I can sit and chill with a hot drink. Would definitely pop in, whether it's with kids, yourself or friends, just for a morning/afternoon out.

Nice little pub. Small inside with little headroom in places which adds to its character. Nice friendly staff. Prices on par with others (around £6.10 for lager and a bag of salted nuts).

Exceptional service from Charlie's on the hill, big thanks to both Charlie and Deborah who supplied the sandwich platters for our dad's wake. They also delivered to the venue which saved us a lot of stress on a difficult day for us. Sandwiches exceeded our expectations being very fresh and plenty of varied fillings which suited vegetarian guests also. Very good value for money, would certainly recommend. Visited 11.12.2024 lovely atmosphere on entering. Staff were friendly and accommodating, which is unusual in December as its very stressful for them. Welcomed our grandchildren and kept them entertained. The other customers were also very chatty. It was a pleasure to visit. The food was exceptional, and the service was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. We would definitely visit again.

I came back about 3 weeks ago and there was a large muzzled dog in the place. It felt very uncomfortable. Not sure if I'll be back again now. It's too much hassle. People just want to relax and have a coffee and There are plenty of other places we can go to do that. Apparently Costa are letting dogs in from the beginning of Oct 2024.

I’ve been golfing for over a decade and have never had a worse experience in all my time with a golf club. From the lack of empathy from the pro shop to charge our group £240 for a new bag because we weren’t allowed to share any clubs even though we were sharing buggies. To having to use fairway mats on the rough and being followed around by the grounds people. We were about to buy memberships here and hoped for the course to at least entice us in from our terrible first experience, and yet it got no better. All we wanted was a personal experience where we felt respected as golf players, yet our interactions in the pro shop made us feel like toddlers running around with their trousers down while being smugly told off by a teacher. A word to sum up the club is arrogant. I urge people not to buy a membership here unless you are an aspiring PGA tour player because maybe they might respect you on this distinctly average golf course. And as a lower handicap player I will now reserve my weekends to having fun on a pitch and putt because anything is better than here.

I had a great meal here. It was a lovely quiet pub. Very nice inside and the food was lovely and hot.

I have visited this pub 3 times in the month of December, 4th, 11th and 17th each time for the festive fayre meals with three different sets of friends. The first time 5 people, the second time 4 people and the 17th a table of 16. Each time every meal was spot on with no complaints about anything plenty of food and each time everyone left very happy. Praise needed for Ian who had been on duty every time also Chelsea and Jo. These members of staff go out of their way to ensure everything is going to plan they obviously care about their job and have a friendly and professional manner. I will keep going back and make recommendations to my friends. 10/10.

Celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday, the food was excellent and the room welcoming. Service by Ruby was excellent. Ruby was very thoughtful and nothing was a problem. A lovely memorable evening.
