A Hidden Gem Discovered – We’ll Be Back! We’ve lived in Nottingham for 24 years and can’t believe it’s taken us this long to find The Dog House in Kimberley – but wow, what a find! From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel completely at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and even our dog Margaret was treated like royalty with her very own bowl of chicken and veg! We both had the roast beef, which was absolutely top-notch. It came with a massive Yorkshire pudding and all the proper trimmings – crispy roast potatoes, fluffy mash, stuffing balls, a pig in blanket, perfectly roasted carrots and parsnips, and the most indulgent cauliflower cheese. It all came with a generous jug of rich, delicious gravy that brought everything together beautifully. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets both the food and the vibe just right – but The Dog House nailed it. Friendly, hearty, and full of charm. We’ll definitely be back (and so will Margaret!).

Exceptional service from Charlie's on the hill, big thanks to both Charlie and Deborah who supplied the sandwich platters for our dad's wake. They also delivered to the venue which saved us a lot of stress on a difficult day for us. Sandwiches exceeded our expectations being very fresh and plenty of varied fillings which suited vegetarian guests also. Very good value for money, would certainly recommend. Tucked away on a little cobbled street, but can guarantee a big wholesome breakfast. Only about four tables, but you do get served quickly.

Each meal was £15 and wow the taste was amazing, great customer service. A lovey warm welcoming pub and a very friendly landlord.

We had walked from Castle Marina along the canal and were ready for a coffee and cake. You're never disappointed here and Tony was on hand to serve us this time.

An amazing stop off for breakfast. Delicious food and wonderful coffee. The staff who were both polite, and really helpful. Wonderful hour spent with friends.

El lugar está muy limpio, con muebles de buena calidad, el personal del bar servicial y educado. El pajar es un lugar encantador en varias plantas Familia y perro friendly.

Wonderful course, thoroughly enjoyed the challenge presented. The course is well maintained, we were very impressed. The pace of play during our visit was diabolical though, had to wait around a lot.

Excellent food and really great value for the money , we throughly enjoyed our 3 course lunch meals . Great service aswell.

That good we have booked for Xmas.

Do not book a room at this pub; it looks like a nice venue, but the rooms are dated with paint peeling from the walls, and the bathrooms are not cleaned properly, with barely a trickle from the lukewarm shower. The hostess is lazy and failed to offer a full breakfast until I had filled up on what I presumed to be the only offering of pastries and toast. If this is the best Greene King can do, I would give up on accommodation, and you might want to consider training your staff on front of house.

Llevamos a 2 parientes mayores para la cena de Navidad. Una de las señoras mayores no estaba bien y no tocó su comida, así que le preguntamos si podíamos llevarla a casa con ella. ¡Solo en servilletas estaba la respuesta! Así que pagamos casi £ 80 por las comidas, pero no pudieron ahorrar una ronda de papel aluminio para llevarse una comida virgen con nosotros. Pobre de verdad. También tuvimos problemas con una silla de ruedas, no era amigable para discapacitados en absoluto. Y para colmo, la comida era de mala calidad. Suave y descuidada. No puedo recomendar este lugar.
