The best restaurants in Broxtowe East Midlands

Five of us dined here on a Wednesday evening, the first visit for all of us. The decor was nice (far less clinical than the Indian restaurant next door!). The staff very pleasant and helpful. We had poppadoms and pickles to start which arrived promptly. For mains we had chicken korma, butter chicken, a biryani dish, rice and various nan breads that were all hot and tasty. The restaurant only serve soft drinks but you can take your own beer and wine. Wine glasses are already on the table and when asking for water we were each given a small bottle free of charge. Just wondering why we were the only diners that evening (so we had our own private restaurant!) when the food was so good. We will be back!

Excelente. Bonitos kebabs calientes. Muy buen tamaño de las porciones, excelente relación calidad-precio. Teníamos Donner Kebab con salsa BBQ y Chicken Tikka Kebab con ajo en mayonesa, ambos en pan naan. Altamente recomendado. El repartidor también merece una mención, ya que fue muy amable y educado y usó un distanciamiento social apropiado - gracias a todos.

We were surprised with a lovely Anniversary Party here which was organised by our sons and their partners. The Bistro was set our perfectly for the gathering of our friends and family and they even put a small marquee out the back with extra seating. The buffet that was prepared at the bistro was very nice with hot and cold food and you can take your own drinks including alcohol. We had such a lovely evening and I would like to say a huge thank you for all the hard work that went into making this a great evening and made our 30th Wedding Anniversary such a special occasion. Thanks to everyone that made it so special.

I absolutely adore this cob shop, the staff are lovely, theres a huge selection of menu items for the pecky fellow, and no where else beats there breakfast cobs!

I’m a huge fan of Greggs sausage rolls and was not let down. There’s an excellent selection of foods for sale in a lovely clean environment. The lady who served us ( she had manager on her badge ) was lovely and despite being busy had a smile on her face. Can’t wait to go back and have a feeling it won’t be too long.

Nice coffee and delicious cake. I had the Parisian flan. The flan was exactly the one I was looking for - not too sweet and perfect texture. I bought an olive loaf. It was so delicious that I could not stop eating.

Visited with friends as part of a birthday celebration. Mimi's serves fresh, authentic Thai food cooked to order. As a seasoned traveller to Thailand, we were delighted to taste dishes that reminded us of our travels; fragrant, fresh and delicious. Thank you Mimi - keep doing what you do as it's amazing!

I call in whenever I’m working within 5-6 miles as it’s the best breakfast for miles. Lots of options, friendly staff & super service! 😊

Brilliant cafe food delicious staff allways willing to help love it.

You can easily miss this great little cafe, tucked away at the bottom of Cator Lane. It's well worth finding. Coffee is excellent, panini are very tasty and some creative decor in a building that I remember as a builder's merchants many years ago.

The food was all absolutely beautiful. It was all made fresh whilst we waited. The afternoon tea portions were great and i even took some cakes home as i was so full! Julie was really accommodating for the children, making pots of jelly and little straw bottles with juice. Everything is homemade and so delicious. Well worth the money and a visit ☺️
