Excellent home cooked Lunch. Great food and value in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Good menu choice. 2 hours parking at the rear for £1 We will be making a point of eating here on a regular basis.

Visited the DH Lawrence museum on our way home from Center parcs. Called in at Julie's for lunch. It was lovely, both the lunch and the ambience. Best food we'd had all week.

My 97 year old mum lioves it when we take her to Julie's very pleasant atmosphere Julie and her staff can't do enough good variety of food.

Booked afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my friends; we weren’t disappointed! With a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the minute we walked through the door to when we left we were well looked after. Lovely choices of sandwiches and the pastry holding the mini quiches was beautiful, melt in the mouth! Of course, we went for tea and that means cakes….. the selection of home baked cakes was wonderful, we were spoilt for choice but that didn’t matter as we were given a box to take away what we couldn’t manage at the table. One other thing I need to say is that the presentation of the food was beautiful too. Well done and thank you Julie.

Excellent luxury cream tea. Half savoury and half sweet. Lots of variety including mini trifle (which wasn't that small!!!) Fresh brewed leaf tea. The little quiches were lovely, the pastry was melt in the mouth and Julie does all these homemade. Please go you won't be disappointed. Booked again for July. Great Julie thank you. Best Cream tea for miles around.

Amazing afternoon tea at Julie’s today. Pick your own sandwich fillings. Salad, coleslaw, warm quiche followed by scones with homemade jam and delicious cakes and trifle. Such good value for money. Bought a goodie bag home. No wonder they’ve won a Trip Advisor Award. Will definitely return.

Called for coffee on a walk in Eastwood. Excellent cappuccino. Asked for a Special from the menu board but low-carb (no roll or chips). So pleased with the service. Even the local customers were friendly! Will definitely call again. Thank you so much.

Lovely surroundings and friendly independent cafe. The courtyard seating to the rear in a real sun trap plus its not far from the DH Lawrence museum. And the food is top notch.

After having many delicious meals at Julie's and Mother's day cream tea take-aways, we knew she was the perfect choice to cater for our wedding. We opted for cream teas in a marquee within the beautiful unique setting of Papplewick pumping station. Julie did us proud with stunning savoury treats and sublime desserts. Special dietary requirements were provided for. Our wedding party were all extremely complimentary and we were overwhelmed with all the hard work Julie contributed to make our day extra special. We can't thank you enough!

Me and my husband came for breakfast. We visited thanks to other reviews and it did not disappoint. Firstly, it was early morning so nice to go to a cafe that was open, others in the area weren't. It's opposite a car park which is handy. But most importantly the food was lovely. Cooked fresh and very tasty. Not greasy at all but a perfect portion. We left with full tummies. Very friendly and lovely decor with all the vintage crockery. Looking forward to coming back for afternoon tea. Thank you 😊

Wow what a great place this is!! We had afternoon tea which was amazing. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche, coleslaw, salad and crisps. Two scones with clotted cream, Victoria sponge, chocolate cake, brandy snap, chocolate eclair, trifle and fresh fruit and endless pots of fresh tea. You must give Julie a try you won’t be disappointed

A small cafe who managed to fit 7 of us comfortably on prebooking. We were made very welcome by staff and locals alike. All food was freshly cooked and with generous portions. Definitely a great place to visit again

We met as a small group at Julie’s this afternoon and had a wonderful time. The tea room was beautifully decorated for Halloween there was a good selection of both Halloween decorated cakes that the children loved and the usual favourites also available. My cappuccino was superb. The portion sizes are generous and the price very reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended

Julie hosted afternoon tea for 20 of people for my baby shower, catering for vegetarians and gluten free. Even staying open after usual opening hours so we had private use of the tea rooms. The food was amazing. She is very friendly and welcoming. Had an amazing day.I have visited here on many occasions before and will continue to do so. Highly recommend

Everything definitely homemade and freshly cooked. We had paninis and bought cake and bakewell tart to take home. The biscotti cake was fresh as a daisy, and the bakewell tart delicious. lovely to see the homemade pastry cases on the side ready to fill. We will definitely return for their afternoon tea - we hadn't booked in advance today.

Julie’s tearoom is lovely and has such a great choice of food & cakes. Me & my mum booked in for an afternoon tea, it was easily the best we’ve ever had, it was so nice to be asked which sandwiches we would like, and even better that we could take home the cakes we couldn’t finish in a couple of boxes!! Loved that everything was fresh and homemade. Also worth mentioning that you can pay by card which is really handy. Me & my mum will be back again soon! We would 100% recommend Julie’s Tearoom

I held a baby shower in the back room at Julie's. We had afternoon tea for 8. The food we got was absolutely beautiful. For £19.95 for 2 people it could easily have fed 3. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Definitely recommend a visit.

We were looking for somebody to pack up a picnic for 12 of us to go and watch Nottinghamshire play Yorkshire at Trent Bridge.My parents knew of this place and asked if they would cater for us. We are VERY pleased they were able to help out. The per head price was about half what we had expected and when we saw the picnic became even better value. The food was excellent and there was more than enough for a hungry cricket crowd. Cannot recommend highly enough. In fact, we’ve already put in our order for the next game!!

Excellent home cooked food... Couldn't manage a Scone with clotted cream and jam for afters... So bought two home to share later... But would highly recommend a visit and I'll most certainly be going again.. Thanks Julie for your hospitality.

I was graciously treated by my sister and daughter to a Mothering Sunday treat at Julie's in Eastwood, and it was incredible. We were warmly greeted and felt welcome and at home as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere was bubbling and cheerful, everyone there was in good spirits. Our table was clean and neat, all nice china plates and cups and saucers too. The food was outstanding, all homemade and at an exceptional standard. I loved the marvellous little quiches and the amazing home baked ham. Julie and her squad really made us welcome. They all work so hard to make this lovely little teashop the best around for miles. Top tip- wear comfortable clothes with an elasticated waistband! Delicious

I booked over the telephone for afternoon tea on Mothering Sunday. Straight away, Julie was warm, friendly, inviting and very accommodating.

My mum brought me a voucher for afternoon tea at this place this weekend,it was wonderful! Fruit and plain scones with cream and choices of jam, mini eclairs, mini pavlova, Vic sponge, fruit cake, then a toffee/chic pot! It also had finger sarnies of your choice, we had 4 diff fillings! 2 gorgeous warm mini homemade quiche which were scrummy!!!! Coleslaw, crisps, side sala and an endless pot of tea! You name it! It was HUGE! It was an epic fail for my diet but so worth it!!! Julie and her gang were lovely and very friendly, will most def be returning! I took a homemade apple crumble back for the folks and they said it was scrummy. :-)

Found this little gem of a cafe where the food is excellent and very good value for money. Afternoon tea is quite simply the best I have ever seen and at a very reasonable price, beats all the competition. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, give this a try you will thoroughly enjoy the experience.

The 'Tearooms' have two dining rooms to choose from as well as a small outdoor courtyard where customers can also sit if they prefer.

A friend told me about this tea room and how nice it is so i booked an afternoon tea for my sister and myself, what a lovely place this is, the owner was lovely and coud'nt do enough for us, a very pleasant lady, the tea rooms were spotless, now the afternoon tea its self, the cakes where home made and so moist there were quiche, scones, meringues with cream and strawberry's inside, walnut cake, fresh fruit, sandwiches, and the trifle was so moreish, this tearoom is a must, if ever you come to Eastwood to visit D H Lawrence birth place just nip round the corner and have a cuppa at Julie's you wont be disappointed

We popped in for a coffee, and ended up staying for a meal. The food was wonderful and all cooked fresh. We even took coconut tarts home to have for tea, and cherry bakewell to have the next day. We will definitely be making this a regular stop. The staff are very friendly.

Randomly visited the cafe whilst staying at a nearby hotel - but the short visit was lovely. We were sad they weren't open on the Sunday so we could visit once more before our trip ended.

Called into this tearoom this morning and what a little gem it is! Julie, the owner is chatty and friendly. There was a good choice of freshly made cakes and pastries - I had a slice of coffee and walnut, my all time favourite cake and it didn't disappoint, My husband had a lovely scone just out of the oven and he really enjoyed.it. I had a peek at the menu and hope to go back when we're in the area for a light lunch.

Stopped off impromptu for an English breakfast , there was a wait , but is was worth it. The staff here were lovely, and Chloe Coco my service animal was warmly welcomed.

Excellent quality inexpensive food (eg cherry and almond scone, clotted cream, jam, and a pot of tea only £2.60). Don't be put off by the seating area in the shop window, as there's further seating in a conservatory and the cobbled courtyard to the rear. Free on street car parking and ferr/cheap public car park just a few yards from the rear. Very highly recommended.

We tried Julies Tea Room for afternoon tea, I have to say it was the best Afternoon Tea Ive had! Everything was home made form the feta and homemade chutney tart and the beautiful damson Jam on the Scones....I have ordered some tarts and scones to take away for my sons birthday party. There is also a pretty court yard where you can sit when the weather permits! I can wait to return!

Our little community group had a big celebration during Volunteers week. We borrowed DH Lawrence Museum garden for the event, which is almost next door. Julie’s Tearooms prepared and delivered the most sumptuous picnic for us - loads of freshly made savouries, cream scones, trifles etc. Not a crumb was left! It was beautifully presented and utterly delicious!

So, eventually got around to visiting. Slightly hard to find but very glad we did. We both had the afternoon tea (even though we hadn’t booked) The tea was lovely, nice sandwiches and the cakes were fantastic. The scones are beautiful but very filling. We used to have a regular haunt for afternoon tea, but we will be regular visitors here from now on. Julie is friendly, attentive and just all round great. Wonderful place. Can’t wait to go again. Maybe Monday.

It was totally amazing could not believe how much was on the cake stand well worth the £17.95p and what ever you could not eat they put in boxes for you, also you have two choices savoury or sweet and they do a childs one but you need to book.
