Food and staff were impeccable, our server was warm and welcoming plus very accommodating for my partner who was 9 months pregnant, views were beautiful and we cannot wait to visit again soon

I had a lovely evening meal with three friends.The building is lovely, the outside area where we had a drink beforehand is well kept with lovely plants & flowers and a view. We had 3 courses for £30 and we couldn't fault anything. The food was delicious and the service was excellent & friendly. We will definitely visit again soon.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here last week. The service was fantastic, super friendly, efficient but relaxed. We had a drink outside to start with as it was such a nice day before moving through for dinner. The food was fantastic- we genuinely couldn’t pick what we wanted off the menu as it all sounded so great. Portion size was generous and we thought it was great value for money- the quality of the food was something we also both commented on, fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back!

It is a little while since we last ate at Perkins Bistro but the long standing high standards of food, drink (and the decor too) have been maintained and indeed further improved. The mid-week dinner menu had a sensibly limited range of starters, mains and puddings - at very good prices for 2 or 3 courses. Our party of six sampled between us most of the options - all were well cooked, tasty and well presented. There was no need to order additional vegetables etc. Bateman’s draught beer was excellent, as were the cocktails and mixers. Go and enjoy.

First class treatment from start to finish. The food was enjoyed by us all.The staff were very attentive and smiley making it easy to enjoy our meal. Thank you all.

Cannot fault our visit. The food was delicious and served so quickly. Lovely outdoor seating to enjoy a drink before. Nice quiet location and really friendly team. The interior has been well designed and retains its train station attire. The team also made an extra effort because it was my birthday - thank you everyone! We will be back.

We stumbled across this delightful little place when looking for somewhere to have a coffee and enjoy the rare British summer sun. On arrival at the bistro you are led up a private road where the bistro as well as it's counterpart 'Carriage Hall' are situated amongst the scenic countryside views. The bistro has ample parking which we were surprised for on a Saturday and plenty of outdoor seating. The decor of the bistro has a warm and welcoming feel and retains the train station characteristics of it's former life. Once we had a quick glance at the menu we decided stay for a bite to eat. The staff were very friendly and attentive during our visit and the food was delicious. For £24 each for a 2 course meal it was worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend the sea bass with samphire and clam chowder (10/10). When speaking to the waitress Jane she informed us that it was unusually quiet for a Saturday and that a wedding was on at the neighboring venue but our luck was in as the Euro's kept everyone occupied at home. After our meal we enjoyed our coffees outside to enjoy the stunning view which was as peaceful as you could hope for. We can't wait for the next visit and will definitely be coming back for the themed menu nights.

Visited for a wake so didn't eat from the menu or spend any money. Mainly sandwiches and nibbles. The food was lovely. Would definitely revisit when in the area.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here today for our tenth Nottingham wedding anniversary. We came on a recommendation from my parents who are known to have very high standards, and we were not disappointed! Absolutely sublime food, efficient friendly service and didn't break the bank too much. Beautiful rural location, so nice to get out of the city. Can't wait to return!

Always excellent service, comfortable surroundings, high quality of food, easy parking, level access. We went for lunch with friends and although we sat chatting late into the afternoon no one hurried us out.

This is mine and my partner's favourite restaurant, the value for the quality of food and cookery is exceptional we feel.

Our fourth time dining at Perkins today. Always first class! Your staff are simply wonderful and make us feel so welcome! The food is superb, excellent portions and presentation wonderful. You never fail to deliver anything less than a first class experience!

Went for Sunday Lunch. Booking is recommended as we couldn't get in until 430. Service was efficient however the table was very awkward to negotiate once seated. The menu consisted mainly of Sunday lunch menu at a fixed price of £25 for 2 courses. The starter was nice. However the main course consisted mainly of a gigantic Yorkshire pudding that had a disintegrating texture when eaten, the vegetables were al dented and my nut roast was a little well done. I thought the price was a little expensive for what we had

What can I say but we have had the most amazing Mothers Day meal here today! First time here for me my daughter chose well. Every thing was first classic can't remember the last time I ate such amazing food and in beautiful surroundings with attentive professional staff it was like how restaurants used to be and should be. Iv just been told by my partner he has already booked us in for Sunday lunch in two weeks time so I'm very happy well done Perkins fantastic in every way x

This Bistro is a real find. Save your pennies and go treat yourself. Great place for a celebration meal.

Family arranged a lunch for my birthday. Food choices were all great. Everyone enjoyed what they had. Staff had provided a vegan menu for 2 of the party and looked after us very well.

Set in an old station excellent mid to high end food, excellent service, you can eat outside in the summer. Not cheap but I think worth it.

The food was really well cooked and presented, and the staff were very attentive. To do this at such a busy time of year bodes very well in my view.

I have been going to Perkins literally for decades and I have never had bad food or bad service in all those years. Great service, lovely staff, a terrific place for lunch or dinner. Plenty of free parking too. Highly recommended.

Below average and not worth the money. Really small portions and a poor menu choice. Wont be going back and would not reccomend.

I come here a few times a year, and Perkins never disappoints. Always welcomed with a smile and fantastic service throughout. The restaurant itself is in a gorgeous secluded location with an old railway track out the back. The sun room at the back of the restaurant is a particularly lovely place to be seated. Bread served at the start of the meal is always excellent, and then the food is fantastic! Great set menu options and the sticky toffee pudding never fails to disappoint. So many lovely special occasions spent here, and the price point is reasonable. Definitely worth a visit when in Nottingham!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in the great oak shepherds hut last week, and cannot stop talking about how great it was. Our dinner was delicious and the service which came with it was fab. As well as the dinner, the fry up the following morning was perfect. We enjoyed our time so much we will be back soon hopefully. Thank you for making our weekend so special.

Great meal with friends for a pre- Christmas celebration. The service was prompt, the food hot and tasty and the decor was lovely. Unfortunately, no trains passed by but you can't have everything! We travelled a long way for our meal and weren't disappointed and we will definitely consider visiting again if in the area. Many thanks for a most enjoyable experience. Merry Christmas!

Excellent lunch at this well run independent establishment. Lovely seating in the conservatory and all tables taken on a Thursday lunchtime. Good value set 3 course menu with additional specials. Great venue for a celebration lunch.

Visited Perkins for the first time last Saturday evening. Oh my goodness, what a find! I like good food and I would go as far as to say that it's the best food I've ever tasted. We all had something different from the menu and every dish across every course was blummin' lovely. I have never tasted gravy like Perkins gravy. At £38 for 3 courses it was a bargain and I can't wait to go again. The staff were so friendly and attentive, really felt like a valued customer. Just wish it wasn't dark when we came out, it's in beautiful grounds and would have liked to have had a look at the accommodation available too. Thank you Perkins, keep doing what you are doing, its perfect.

My Son and Daughter in Law gave both my wife and I a voucher for Christmas back in 2020. However due to lockdown we didn’t manage to book to visit this establishment. The time has now come and we eventually visited and had a tremendous experience at Perkins. The initial reception and customer service was excellent. The food was first class and so enjoyable. I have been fortunate to dine at other restaurants in the area but, Perkins are an extremely hard act to follow….I would most certainly recommend this place for that “special place” to book and go to.

We sat outside and enjoyed a drink till everybody arrived. Inside we were well looked after and between us ordered the chicken, beef and pork Sunday roasts. I had the pork which was both tender and moist with a nice portion of crackling on top. There were six very empty plates after we had finished. A lovely moist sicky toffee pudding rounded of the meal nicely. Great food, attentive staff and a lovely setting has to be five stars.

A small but interesting bar restaurant built in a disused railway station. The line is still occaisionally used as a testing track for London underground trains but is of interest not a nuisance. The food is first class. Lunches on a daily basis except Mondays and full dinners at night. Bar facilities are available separately with outside tables, at the front of the building there are great views across the fields to Normanton on the Wolds. Well recommended

Putting this here as a reminder to come back after a whistle stop coffee. Hidden gem that clearly many people have frequented since the 1980’s yet unknown to us. Will definitely be back

Such a pleasure to return to Perkins Restaurant. I used to visit regularly before the Pandemic. I came with 2 friends and we were just as pleased with the venue. The food is amazing and served so pleasantly by the staff. The venue was years ago the Plumtree railway station and the ambiance is great. So so good to be back. Thank you.

Gorgeous location, the place is so quaint inside and is perfect. We went here for an after graduation meal and the food was lovely and the service was quick. The girls who served us were so friendly, I would recomend this to anyone visiting Nottingham it's a little drive out of the centre of town but well worth the journey.

Well, was out and looking for somewhere for lunch. Google came up trump's! A fabulous setting, stylish and a great ambience. We had the Sunday menu, so can't talk about the rest but the roast was first class. The veg was crisp and the Yorkshire puddings were to die for. The staff were friendly, happy and helpful. Would happily go again 👍🤓
