We had a fabulous meal at The Thatch on Friday night. The steak I had was amazing accompanied by a fabulous sauce and lots of lovely extras on the plate. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and the owner was absolutely lovely. Such a brilliant night. Can’t wait to go back!!

Lovely little restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff . The food was beautifully cooked and presented. A memorable night. I doubt this culinary experience would be beaten by any establishment of its type in Lincolnshire.

Went here as our usual place was full. We noted the place was quiet for a Saturday evening and it was easy to book even though it wasn't needed. When we arrived I had to wait for the 3 girls behind the bar to stop chatting with each other to get acknowledged and served. We sat at our table next to the bar and read the menu drinks came fairly quickly then we ordered. Two meals came out and we expected the waitress just to go back to the kitchen and bring the other two, but there was no sign of anyone, so 15 minutes later we said you'd better eat yours before it gets too cold, eventually we caught someone's attention and said we hadn't had or full order, they apologised and eventually the other dishes arrived, by which time the first two were finished!!! The food was awful i had fish and chips, the chips were like bullets and the fish was dripping in oil like the fryer just wasn't hot enough. The others also said theirs were bad. Although my step daughter wanted dessert i said i am not giving them any more money i'll take you to Tesco. We were charged full price even though they messed up and we said the food was awful, we paid and left and will never go back. Such a shame as it looks a lovely pub when you drive past, but our experience put us off and we'll be staying with the Greyhound Inn from now on.

We sadly lost a family member and contacted the Black Horse to host the wake. From point of contact with Josh to the actual event, was dealt with professionally and with sympathy. On the day it went smoothly and we were welcomed warmly. We were taken care of the entire time and the buffet that was laid out for us was beyond expectations. Even with a late add on of numbers, which was despite the lateness not a problem. The supply of constant tea and coffee was welcomed by our guests. Cannot fault or thank the team enough for their attention and care of our family in a difficult time.

We held the wake for our brother here. It was absolutely perfect. It is easy to find from the local crematorium. When we got there we were warmly welcomed by the landlady and her wonderful team. When we met to arrange the wake we were given options to personalise our buffet choices and were told that we would have the full restaurant to ourselves which on the day, we did. The buffet was absolutely top quality. The sandwiches were amazing and the home made cakes were to die for. Can not recommend this place enough. Only wish I could remember the landlady’s name. But thankyou from the bottom on my heart for helping us give my brother the send off he deserved.
