The Red Lion Pub in East Lindsey

Friendly down to earth, proper pub. Had a Sunday lunch recently. It was really nice. Piping hot, fresh beautifully cooked vegetables and a good portion of meat and gravy. Would recommend.

Great homely traditional pub. Welcoming and friendly staff. Good selection of beers. Great food. Bar games. Outside seating and nearby parking.

Stopped here for lunch/light snack. I had a lincolnshire sausage sandwich with seeded bread. I advised that I was cow dairy intolerant, so I missed out on the coleslaw. The side salad and extra chips were good too. Was advised there could be a 20-minute delay, but we didn't wait that long.

Good pub, pool table with contactless reader, only 50p a game.

A nice spot for a drink or two, seems popular with locals and visitors. Very friendly service, good selection of drinks including cocktails and pizza 🍕 every Friday evening. Mediocre food quality and main reason I deduct one 🌟

We had a delicious Sunday lunch today with my (rather large) family. The food was fantastic - well cooked, local produce and a good price. The desserts were to die for too! Staff were friendly and attentive; can't ask much more.

Had Sunday lunch here, staff very welcoming, young lad that served us was lovely, very polite and service was quick, the lunch was just like mother makes, was fabulous, absolutely fabulous, make sure you book though, there is a reason it's so busy x

Group of 8 of us looking for food, was fairly close to the cut off point for food but staff were very friendly and reassured us it was all good to order. When the food arrived it was all homemade and not microwaved. All the food we had was excellent and the chips were especially good! Would definitely come back!

Good food, good quantity and a great price. All of which we find very hard to find in our local area. The lad who took our order even managed to cope with my husband's banter.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Food choice was Pork, Beef or Gammon, we both opted for gammon and it came with roast and mash potatoes, parsnips and Yorkshire pudding. Vegetables were carrot, cabbage, broccoli, sweed and leeks with cheese and a jug of gravy. All veggies were cooked to perfection, the portion of leeks in cheese sauce was rather small but fortunately I don't like leeks so it was plenty for my husband but would probably not have been enough for 2. We both had black forest gateau for dessert. A lovely young lad took our order and served us promptly and the food arrived shortly after. Very nice meal and pleasant staff my only complaint is that the knives could have been sharper/better as it was quite difficult to cut the meat even though it was tender when you ate it. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

Great service as soon as you stepped in , all the staff was friendly and polite. The meal was lovely , all the food being homemade , would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat.

Nice friendly pub , very orientated to the locals , food for me wasn't good , we went on Steak night and mine was totally inedible a really cheap gristle full bit of steak . Won't eat there again

The meal we had was 1st class even came out and asked if Christine would like an egg with her Gammon .We all left there full and didn't need to eat for the rest off the day .Polite partons and staff would recommend again in a heart beat.xx

Treated my colleagues to a takeaway lunch from the red lion today! The staff were friendly & welcoming. The pub so clean & fresh was a pleasure to sit & wait for my food. The food was so good, roast chicken baguettes with sides of salad & crisps, huge portions, amazing value for money & very tasty too ! Look forward to our next lunchtime treat!

Dropped in for a evening meal with the family, honestly can't compliment the food enough! Fresh, handmade, hearty portions of really good pub food. Every dish we had was cooked to perfection, the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend a visit and will definitely return again!

Popped in for lunch. My partner had the mixed grill, absolutely first class, locally sourced sausages and meat. The chips were real, proper hand cut, no frozen rubbish, the real deal Lincolnshire potatoes. It was perfectly cooked and plentiful. The peas tasted fresh, for someone who doesent normally eat peas, he ate the lot. I had the mushroom stroganoff which was superb, beautifully presented and wonderfully flavoured. They also offered home made deserts but we were too full to try them this time. Really enjoyed the food, the barman and chef were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely lunch, we will be back again very soon. Would highly reccomend this gem of a venue.

We have a caravan close to Spilsby and when shopping in the centre of Spilsby we discovered this pub after having it recommended to us by a local shopkeeper. From the minute we walked in we felt part of the family. We were greeted warmly by Staff and all customers in at the time and immediately felt at home and later met James and Dan the owners. They have made this a pub that welcomes everyone and respects them no matter who they are as long as that respect is returned. The first time Terry went in, being in the pub trade in the past, he ticked all the boxes that to him made a great pub and we've never looked back. The decor is a bit oldie worldy/traditional with the feel of a good old English pub but has modern touches to suit all tastes eg. A fabulous coffee machine which makes lots of different coffees - latté, mocha, cappuccino etc and as I often drive so Terry can enjoy a few drinks, the coffee machine is perfect for me. The pub also does proper home cooked pub grub such as Liver and bacon, stew and dumplings, cottage pie etc as well as filled cobs, baked potatoes and desserts to die for, specials and much more all at extremely reasonable prices. The pub has facilities to eat upstairs or down so can cater to all tastes. In the winter there are 2 roaring coal fires and it's a cosy atmosphere with a very friendly ambience. There is also a pool table and dartboard and team matches are played, as well as dominoes for customers who like it. We have had Sunday roast there and attended the steak night and they are both highly recommended as we received first class food and service. There is a good selection of beers and ales both draught and bottled including Batemans ales served in a sleeve glass to Terrys delight. There is also a good selection of wines, spirits cocktails and soft drinks with a plan to introduce guest beers and a cocktail corner. James also makes a good non alcoholic cocktail for the customer who is driving. Dan and James also hold music events, quiz nights and charity events, (the last one of which we attended and which raised £800 for British Heart Foundation and also local charities). There is also outdoor seating for relaxing summer evenings and some parking to the rear as well as numerous parking facilities in the area. If you want a lovely time in a real welcoming English pub then this is the place to go and we would highly recommend it as feel you would not be disappointed. After the caravan it is our second home!

Called in on the off chance on Bank Holiday Monday for lunch The staff were polite and friendly Had a wait for food to arrive it was worth the wait as it was good and hot and very tasty We opted for the veg pie nice pastry and plenty of filling

Amazing meals, 3 adults 5 children, various meals ordered, 10/10 by chef and staff. We can't wait to return for a late night tea. Well done all at the red lion spilsby

First time at the red lion spilsby it is a nice camping site and the pub is very nice the food was great and the staff were very friendly and the local people were very friendly can't wait to come back again

Found this little gem whilst wandering around spilsby menu looked good and prices were OK so decided to try it so glad we did staff were friendly food came piping hot ( which is a miracle round here) tasted great and just enough only moan is they had no puds that's why they didn't get a five star will definitely go again

It's OK. Nice local pub. But then again it's in Spilsby. That's the problem it's the worst town on the planet. Moved here 5 months ago and move out in a month. It's like living in the twilight zone..

Always a warm welcome from the staff. What is disappointing is the pub appears to be closed on Sundays afternoons, and I'm not to sure if this now is an regular occurrence.
