Had a superb Sunday lunch here. Beef cooked beautifully and veg al-dentè.

Had a really lovely meal. My steak was slightly undercooked for my liking but the lovely Holly was more than happy to change it for me. Lovely friendly service. Nothing too much trouble. Had a lovely evening will definitely return

I had a Bacon Beef Burger Plain, and the burger was quite tough, and quite a few out of my portion of chips were totally roar and wet!

Had Sunday dinner at this pub. Lovely food, nice atmosphere. They have a garden at the back where small children can play safely. For the adults, an under cover area with grape vines, kangaroo vines, and ivy on the walls. Appears to have a revamp, so has new furniture inside and out. However does fit this very old pub. You need to book on Sundays. We'll worth a visit. If you are tall mind your head in the bar.

Great find whilst in the area. Unfortunately they were a chef down so could only offer a small selection of burgers. Not a problem we ordered one of each and they were superb served with home made coleslaw and chips. Staff were very welcoming and so friendly we will be back the setting was great.

My husband and I both had a lovely lunch at The Queen’s Arms . We were greeted by Izzy who was very friendly and welcoming and added a lot to our experience here. We chose a seat in the restaurant area overlooking the pretty garden. We both enjoyed our lunch immensely - I chose the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, well rested (often not the case and rushed out - good food comes to those who relax and wait!) and presented beautifully on the plate with a separate bowl of triple cooked chips, (nice to not bury the star of the show with chips and I chose to just put a few on my plate at a time!). My husband had the sausages and mash which he said were perfectly cooked from the start, not just prepped and reheated, and of a high standard, with great accompanying mash, fresh vegetables and gravy. As a chef, compliments are hard to get out of him!! Delicious. This is definitely somewhere we will return to soon to sample more choices on the menu and would thoroughly recommend it. In these days of austerity, we are all careful where we choose to spend our money, but this establishment really DO CARE, and deserve support to ensure they continue on the path to success.

Always friendly. Great find. We often take a very long walk when the weathers nice to pay a visit. They even went out their way to make us something specific to our current dietary requirements at our last visit.

The staff went out of their way to cook me a burger before the kitchen even opened! Prices were as expected in this day and age and the Blue Moon was beautifully refreshing! The garden out the back was lovely and I fully expect I'll be visiting again soon!

Good food and service. The garden was very well stocked with benches but I would have liked to see some more real ales. The only one being shown as ready for pouring was having the line cleaned.

I love this place! A hidden gem in a sleepy little village, Leire. Beautiful pub garden to soak up the rays and the food is sublime, I recommend the burgers! They have my favourite cider on tap too. Would be here all the time if I lived nearby. Owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely mid week meal tonight. There's plenty of variety. Some wonderful specials. It’s proper tasty food and so well presented. Even as a veggie there was a good choice for me. Not a massive dessert menu but the sticky toffee pudding is amazing. Will definitely be back.

The most awful food, the fish was stale and the batter and chips required a sledgehammer to cut instead of a fork and knife. The staff members are very pleasant/friendly ( saving grace to the whole experience). Would not recommend this to my worst enemy ☹️

I booked to eat here with friends in December. Very accommodating at time of booking, great food (we had the Christmas menu) and service.

Visited recently and was very impressed with the quality of service and the food was excellent. I would recommend a visit. Quite a small place but ideal for a cosy night out.

It feels lucky to have such a nice, friendly pub in the village. It has a very personal atmosphere, no pretensions, very helpful staff and owners, nothing to complain really. I am vegetarian - there’s always been items on the menu, or they’ve improvised on something to modify it to cater to me. Likewise for kids who have allergies - with some prior notice, there’s always been a ‘free from’ option for them to try. The pub always has a warm, welcoming feeling. Truly great traditional English pub. Delivers exactly what it’s designed for! Highly recommended.

Lovely tandoori takeaway again!

Decided to try the banquet on Sunday Food nice , good to try some authentic Indian dishes. Too over priced at £30 per head for the amount of food we had. Price has put us off returning , otherwise , great service

We had a wonderful meal at the Queens Tandoori Friday 21st Feb 2020. The food was outstanding, everything was so fresh and nothing was too much trouble for the waiters. It was so nice to go to a restaurant and meet people who are so passionate about their food and willing to talk you through the menu and give advice on what to choose! Fantastic flavours wil definitely be going back. Thank you!

A very pleasant, traditional, village pub, serving a range of decent ales, with a small restaurant at the back serving good quality, reasonably priced and nicely presented Indian / Bangladeshi food - my idea of heaven; the perfect beer 'n curry night. The restaurant service was prompt and friendly, the food was very good - the tandoori king prawns were the best that I've had - while on the evening that we were there, the bar had a lively atmosphere with much interest in the ongoing skittles match.

We were having few drinks on New Year’s Eve in the pub when our daughter decided she wanted to eat. Absolutely fantastic staff made table available for us. A quiet Sunday evening in the restaurant with a friend who has had 3 'Indian' meals in his life and doesn't like spicy food!! The attention of the restaurant staff and the attention to detail was superb. We had a great meal and experience that was made by the staff at the restaurant not just the excellent food. This place is a little gem.

Consistently tasty food and excellent service. Worth booking in advance as it can be pretty popular on weekends. I have yet to try something there that I haven't loved!

Leicestershire is not short of choice for those who enjoy Indian food, but this place is right up there with the very best in the county. I have eaten here several times now and the food is fabulous. This time we wanted something a little different. We were a group of seven, six of whom hadn’t eaten there before. I called a few days before to ask for something “not on the menu” but something authentic, enough for seven people and left it with them. What arrived on our table was three courses of outstanding quality and probably best described as as a banquet. The staff (it’s run by a family) are a absolutely passionate about their food and their service. Coupled with a great pub which is the icing on the cake, this place takes some beating for a great night out and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

After a few recommendations from friends who live local in Leire, decided to try the Indian cuisine. Although we could not fault the staff and service (friendly and efficient), we were somewhat disappointed in some of the dishes ordered. The Chicken Shashlik that you normally expect to be served sizzling, came "silent" and was luke warm. the rice and nan's were very small portions and we ended up ordering extra as these are normally portions you share in other places. Not saying we won't be back as could have been a bad day at the office, but room for improvement

Great service, staff are exceptionally efficient and we had a great evening meal! What a great place to spend your winter evenings in this cosy restaurant with all the feelings of an old place with a touch of contemporary modern interior design and decor.
