Closed. 😭 A cosy cafe with friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet courtyard conveniently located just off the high street. Nice breakfast and lunch menus available; and of course a good selection of cakes and deserts. Well behaved dogs are allowed inside and outside; water and complimentary treats offered. Parking just a couple of minutes walk away; toilet / baby-changing facilities on-site (ask staff for key). Card payments accepted. Highly recommended.

We have just been to the cafe on our first outing with our newborn. We sat outside in the courtyard. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Our food and drinks were lovely. We were recommended to visit by a family member and I would highly recommend to others!

On holiday so called in for coffee.Nice and bright inside because of the glass roof.Comfy chairs, lovely latte.Wonder why people go to the larger coffee chains while lovely little places like this exist.

Visited today for the first time. Afternoon tea for 4 of us, everything tasted amazing. Fresh Scones cake and sandwhich section. Yummy. Great value for money. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

For my elderly mother (who is in our support bubble) we got her a takeaway afternoon tea for Mother’s Day (I’m chomping down on a salmon sandwich whilst writing this). Very nice, excellent cakes and juices, sandwiches great, the icing on the cake for Mother’s Day.

I had an afternoon tea plus birthday cake delivered to me for my birthday yesterday. The packaging and labelling was lovely, especially the dried lavender. Sandwiches were good, scones,( still warm) jam and cream excellent, the mini cakes were plentiful and delicious. But the actual birthday cake was magnificent, not too much icing, beautifully decorated, the sponge and filling was just a lovely flavour. Even passed the taste and smell test from young Olivia who took a generous portion home with her. Thankyou Hannah for such a lovely treat.

I had a cream tea with cakes delivered as a present from my friends in Somerset. The quality was amazing. Well done you are a credit to Daventry.

This is a great little cafè and tea room. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food is really good. They also do afternoon tea which looks fab. The staff are adhering to social distancing. Would definitely recommend.

Finally got round to trying this place after hearing good reviews, and was not disappointed. Had the breakfast, which was well cooked with good quality ingredients. Friendly service, and good Covid practice in place as well.

Our favourite cafe in Daventry that always delivers good service and quality food. Covid19 controls and rules are in place and well managed. Good selection of specials for snacks or lunch. Highly recommended.

Tables are nicely spaced out and table service. I can highly recommend the omelette . It was the nicest I've had in a long time. I will definitely be going back for breakfast 🍳.

Lovely independent Cafe. Friendly and comfortable. Enjoyed my Mocha and Wholemeal toast. The Lemon Meringue Pie looked really good so took some home for later 🤗

Nice little gem hidden away. Had breakfast which was lovely, freshly cooked. Staff pleasant. Has small outside area for when weather permits. Daventry needs more places like this.

Lovely staff, amazing food. Stopped off for a brunch with the family. The service was prompt, friendly and with a smile. The food was lovely. I had an omelette and it was perfectly cooked. All of our party cleaned their plates. Totally recommend a visit for food, drinks and amazing looking cakes.

We have been here twice now after seeing it recommended online. The location is small and feels like you’re sitting in the garden at home which is nice! Staff have been lovely and friendly every time. The food was delicious and they made some changes at no extra cost. I would recommend this for relaxing and enjoying some good food and drinks. We are yet to try the cakes but they also look delicious! 10/10

This is a great little cafe hidden in a small arcade of shops and well worth seeking out. I’ve been here a few times now both for coffee and lunch and have really enjoyed it. The staff are super friendly and definitely go out of their way to be helpful. Not a huge menu but everything they serve is of a good quality and very reasonable in price. Would definitely recommend.

I popped in for a pre xmas cuppa and it was busy. Very friendly staff with varied menu. Will come back again.

We recently spent Christmas in Warwickshire and were passing through Daventry for our food shopping. We'd never been before but were hungry and thirsty after an early start and almost 3 hours driving and ready for a breakfast. I saw a sign off the main street for this place and jackpot, it was dog friendly. We got a very warm welcome from the family running the cafe. And water for the dog which is always a nice touch. We had great coffee and a substantial sausage and egg sandwich. The sausages tasted very high quality. And there was even one brought for the dog as a treat, which was really lovely (though I think we were lucky as it was quiet when we arrived). The place soon filled up and is clearly popular. A great start to our Christmas holiday.

A charming cafe located off the high street in a closed yard. A very chic cozy and inviting decor with a lovely hostess. Stopped for breakfast after the nearby parkrun and indulged in a coffee and full English veggie breakfast. Top notch food with a warm welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely cafe where our dog was made very welcome. Our breakfast was delicious and service very friendly.

I went in there for a bacon sandwich one morning but in fairness to them I felt this wasn't what they were best at. The sandwich was okay, albeit slightly tasteless but it did look like that teas, cakes and scones were more of their speciality. The cakes did look delicious. I found the place freezing though, made worse by one of the owners leaving the door open whilst they were putting up decorations. I'm sure that when it is busy it has a much better atmosphere than what I experienced so will go again at lunchtime and see.

We had a delicious and generous afternoon tea today and it sounds a bit soppy but all homemade and it felt like it was made with love. The service was excellent and I am now wondering will I ever go to a coffee chain again! Highly recommended.

I popped in for a cuppa and piece of cake and it was pleasant inside with friendly staff. So light and airy and the seats were comfy. Well worth a visit if you are in town

Went today with some friends 3 Adults and 5 children. Very accommodating with seating to make sure we could sit together, good selection of food for the children. I choose the ploughmans off the specials board and it didn't disappoint. Great value for money and enjoyable food. Looking forward to our next trip. The cakes in the fridge inside looked awesome.

I use this cafe regularly for both just a cup of tea or coffee and for lunches. Mushroom soup and omelettes (more like frittatas) are particularly good. Service is always with a smile. Location is lovely as it's set back from the main road in a lovely courtyard. A little oasis!

Popped in for a treat with my son. What a lovely friendly place. Great gluten free cakes - moist and tasty rather than the usual brick-dust. We had an almond slice and carrot cake.

Natasha was excellent in dealing with my specific dietary requirements, no peanuts and vegetarian for one. We also had baby with us and his needs were also catered for. We were allowed to bring in a bottle of fizz and there was no rushing us and our group of six ranging from 8mnths to 75yrs old.

We were visiting for my Sons football match and wanted some breakfast. Service was excellent and very friendly. Food was also excellent and good quality. This is a must if you are visiting Daventry. Thank you to all the team

Visited on a late afternoon and had excellent service and tea, but unfortunately cheese scones should actually contain cheese, not just a bit on the outside. Very bland taste. Please view this as constructive criticism, as I would certainly return again.

Just had a lovely breakfast at The Courtyard Cafe. The cooked breakfasts were amazing, in particular the sausage which they said come from the local market. Our son had a lovely hot chocolate with all the trimmings. The atmosphere in the cafe was very warm and welcoming. We’ll be definitely arranging a return trip

I recently held my baby shower afternoon tea at the courtyard cafe and it was perfect. The new owner Natasha was so helpful in the run up to it and was always reachable via Facebook messenger if I had any queries before the day, accommodating all of the dietary requirements we had as a group. I know friends also got in touch with her to make arrangements as a surprise for me and they said exactly the same. On the day it couldn’t have been better and the food and organisation was perfect. The afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully set out with lovely bows on the stands etc. Although there were other customers in the cafe Natasha let us celebrate on our own, never asking us to be quieter or to take up less space, her team only interrupting occasionally to ask if more drinks were required etc which I appreciated.

I visited this cafe with my Grandma and it was honestly so so lovely. I had a pot of green herbal tea and my Grandma had the stack of pancakes which she said was very tasty! The staff were kind and welcoming and it was quite quiet yet very relaxed and you didn’t feel rushed being in there. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others!

I popped into the courtyard for a cup of tea and some lunch with my toddler, it is under new management, this is a great improvement to the previous. Very warm welcoming staff, amazing variety of cakes on display and lots of toys and colouring pencils for my toddler to play with and keep occupied. The lunch was nice and very decently priced. Will definitely be a regular visit for us now!

I met up with a friend on a Friday lunchtime for a leisurely light lunch. We had booked a table in advance, and the cafe was quite busy, but no one got turned away.

Went to the courtyard cafe with a friend for a cream tea and it was lovely! Nice scones and clotted cream with jam and a lovely pot of tea for two. The decor is beautiful very shabby chic and all colours co-ordernating. They do a good range of food for every tastes. Would definetly go back.

Went for lunch on the first opening day , me and my mum had paninis which were delicious my daughter had a carrot cake which in her words was "delicious" . Lovely family run atmosphere will be back again :)

Whenever we're in town for different reasons (e.g. one has to see the dentist, one has to go to the pharmacy) we meet in the Courtyard Café. A warm and friendly staff awaits you, the coffee and cakes are yum and the interior is a charming smorgasbord. Just as place to feel well and relax!

Love how a review is made when the cafe was shut.. not paid staff etc.. funny. Could be fantastic in the right hands. And correctly priced..as customers lost due to constant price changes.

i came in for a cup of coffee and the staff were very friendly and it was a good atmosphere. Very clean with free WIFI.There was a really good menu and a lot of delicious cakes on display. Very cosy and I shall come back for something to eat soon

Attended a baby shower, we were all really looked after by all the staff, food lovely and homemade, baked potatoes huge!! Would recommend for friends, families and couples Lovely atmosphere.

We were hoping to go somewhere else for breakfast but it didn’t work out so we came across this place. Easy to get to with a free town car pack located just a couple of minutes walk away. I had been here before but under new management now. Very welcoming normal staff who are getting to grips with everything. We were really surprised at the big portions and loved the fact that the very reasonable price also included tea and toast with the full breakfast. Will definitely return.

Cosy courtyard cafe with warm welcoming staff, the food is very much home cooked ( like having mums cooking again!). Quality of ingredients is superior and reflected in the price, however you may save a pound or 2 else where but be severed up generic tat.

Tucked away behind the market square this cafe serves good food at very reasonable prices.Rather better than some of the more chi chi establishments in the town. Staff pleasant and efficient.

a very comfortable place to eat, the staff was friendly as well as helpful and nothing was too much trouble and didn't rush you to order willing to chat with the customers. The meal was lovely and well presented. We were served by a charming young lady called Gabby

The tea room was very hot and not well ventilated. Afternoon tea was very nice but not enough sandwiches (we had two plates between 5 adults). There was an abundance of cakes and scones with jam and cream and a glass of prosecco. Being a vegetarian I was put off eating a sandwich off the same plate that meat and fish sandwiches were on. (when booking it was said that one of the party was vegetarian.) A scone with a cake would have been plenty with more sandwiches on offer. This was on offer at £15 each but with teacher discount of 10% I thought it was still expensive.

Lovely lunch today, amazing posh fish finger sandwich and plentiful milkshake. Lovely helpful staff.
