Good service, friendly bar staff. Decent location near to the bus station and Arndale etc.

A beautiful pub and rooms in a fantastic location. The drive from Malham is wonderful. The pies are homemade and delicious. The lamb ale is brewed on the premises and is as fresh as possible. I adore the lamb bitter. My wife loves the food and location. The dog just loves everything about the Queens Arms

Very disappointing breakfast today for a number of reasons, after checking the website. I decided what I was going to order. The website said a full english breakfast with a choice of fried/poached/scrambled eggs. I chose scrambled. It turned out that the menu at the venue was different to the website and was not pointed out to me that I’d have to pay more if I wanted scrambled because they used ‘2 eggs’ and charged extra. Additionally, I asked if I could have just a few extra mushrooms instead of a tomato. The server said that was possible to swap but didn’t point out that they didn’t swap items but that it would also cost extra. My brother asked for some water with his breakfast, but was supplied with a bottle which had already had its top removed. Also it turned out that if I did not specify tap water they would automatically charge me an extra £2.95 with the mini bottled water. I would say to anyone who attends this restaurant that aside from the website differing in menu to the menus available in the restaurant. You should be extra careful with what you order. I did contact the restaurant when I returned home before writing this review to give them the opportunity to consider my issues but they weren’t particularly apologetic. Felt we were ripped off

25 years ago this was the favorite "go to "restaurant for all the Princess theater cast. Obviously since then it has changed hands, but I must say that it was equally as good, if not better than I remembered. The food is cooked perfectly and beautifully prepared and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Any trip to Torquay must include a visit to Legends at Steps.

We stayed at the Wensleydale Heifer last night on our way back from Cumbria, As with many times before, we received a very warm welcome by all the staff, a fantastic meal, wonderful night's sleep and excellent breakfast! Always want to return again and again. Big Thanks to you all.

Fantastic proper pub that serves well kept beers, good food with a great atmosphere

We came here while staying in cartmel for 2 nights. Staff were great & food was beautiful. It was really busy after the races on the Friday & great atmosphere.

Beautiful cozy pub, Garden seating. Excellent beer. Nice service.

What a fantastic experience! We came for the owl show at breakfast and our kids absolutely loved it. It’s something we will all remember forever. The staff are all brilliant, very friendly and really sell the role of witches and wizards. Massively recommend!

Fantastic food and service every time

Lovely evening, beautiful food and drinks with a friendly welcome. We enjoyed all of the recommendations on the ales. The staff and landlord were great. Really enjoyed our evening. The food was lovely and we are really looking forward to returning.

Gluten free food excellent, so friendly

Excellent lunch here. Lovely atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. I had a brilliant sausage and mash with onion gravy, green veg and a side of frickles - sliced guerkins deep fried in a light, crispy batter. Would recommend and will return.

Thank you everyone at Nova for an amazing birthday meal. We were a party of 9 family and friends and everything was perfect from amuse bouche to dessert. Our vegetarian friends were well catered for and my birthday cake was delicious. A very happy fun-filled evening.
