The best restaurants serving British food in England

Best fish and chips we have had. Been coming here since I was a child and still just as good. Lovely staff and brilliant food.

Great social club and ad great place for drinks and good times with friends. Excellent IPA on tap.

Great cafe by a one man band. This place is well worth a visit its nice, clean, and a good breakfast with some dinner choices. And very good value fore money

Please hire more staff for the weekend because it is very busy, and there is a long wait for the order to be taken

Had a lovely afternoon tea , staff very polite and couldn't do enough for you , The Grange is very quaint and very well kept , the gardens looked great but unfortunately the weather wasn't its best .

Fabulous afternoon tea, in a recently refurbished room, beautifully decorated in lilac and silver. Ian was our host, and nothing was too much trouble! Sandwiches were really fresh and tasty, scones - plain and fruit - were warm and delicious. some small patisserie cakes too! Tea was topped up regularly, and boxes handed out if you couldn't eat it all! Would thoroughly recommend. Ian was a ⭐

The account Mr. Aiken has of our visit is incorrect. He said we arrived on an evening when he was not open...not true! We booked previously and he accepted the booking. Due to slow play on the golf course we were running ten minutes late and we called him to let him know. When we arrived his behaviour was on obnoxious and deeply unpleasant. I can categorically say Mr. Aiken did NOT call the police. After we had been ejected we ordered a takeaway and ate it outside the pub next door. We collected the wrappers and put them in the carrier bag. The next morning we found the carrier bag outside our hotel room! Mr Aiken had, during the night, placed it tbere! Great large bacon sandwich anc a mug of tee for just over £5

The two course menu seemed like a good deal, but not worth the extra money. One course is good enough. Excellent service, excellent location, close to train station, harbor and dock yard. They also have a full Japanese menu. It looked pretty good from what I saw on other tables.

From the heart this place offers excellent support for the over 50's in regards to the likes of help and support for benefits etc. However, the cafeteria is not good at all and the beverages are below average. Over priced and worse than school dinner meals.
