The best restaurants serving British food in England

This Restaurant is a wonderful place if you want great food and more. I cannot recommend enough for its friendly staff nothing is too much trouble and everything is always cooked to perfection. We wish you luck in your next adventure. Worcester is really going to miss you.

I really don't want to give this 5 stars, because I don't want more people to know how good it is. I will be back, again and again, and again. This place is a small slice of heaven, packed in a small village. Needless to say, everything here was perfect.

came in last night for kebab and chips for myself and the family, meaty and fresh! we also had nemo's own style chips! how delicious! by far the best in gornal!

We had a meal in Grameen Lounge who are currently based in Shepherd's Arms. The food was excellent. We bought our drinks from the Shepherd's Arms service was brilliant throughout the night

Quite possibly the best meal we have ever had and we've had Michelin tasting menus a few times across Europe. Add that the staff and venue itself it is the best value we've ever had.

Friendly and quick service at the bar, could have had a bit more info about the ales for "strangers in the bar" but it wasn't a major problem.

They sell themselves as "A restaurant with rooms" and that gives a mere hint of what they're REALLY about here, firstly, the rooms are beautiful, clean, & well maintained, their location literally couldn't be any better, just on the edge of the very lovely hill-top medieval town of Shaftesbury, it's a two minute walk into town and we'll worth a visit in itself, now then, the nitty-gritty, the food, OMG! I'm based in Leicestershire, and now I know how good the food is here, I can tell you that I would drive the 161 miles straight there for a feed here, no exaggerating, all three courses of my evening meal were absolutely stunning, the aromas, the textures, the sheer depth of flavours, I'm not gushing am I ? LoL Anyway, Don't take my word for it, get booking! You won't regret it

The quality of the food was absolutely amazing. The bread was beautiful and the steak was one of the best I think I have ever eaten. Coupled with warm and friendly staff it was a fabulous experience. We travelled from Warwick but would love to return .

Beat breakfast I've had for a long time.

We booked a room and were greeted by a not-so-polite receptionist who told us that kids are not welcome. “We are adult only”. There was no information about this in the booking confirmation or anywhere visible. They kept saying, “We’ve never had guests with kids before; you’re the only ones.” They just managed to guess the hotel rules somehow. Rude. However, the manager was polite enough.

Come here regularly. Superb cafe with some of the loveliest staff I've ever encountered.

Found this great cafe whilst holidaying in Sidmouth. The eggs benedict were the best I have ever had. The full English was lovely too. We loved the service and the atmosphere, and friendliness of the place, so much so we returned every morning of our holiday for breakfast

Another fantastic lunch - everything is always so tasty and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
