The best restaurants serving British food in England

Wow, what an amazing little cafe this is. Called in for lunch after walking the falls and so glad we did. Best bacon and sausage sandwich I have had and my wife said the homemade soup was the nicest she has had in a long time, all very hot and ample portion size. The tray bakes were just gorgeous. What a find this place was.

We went on mother's day, and the whole experience was excellent. Between when we had booked, and when we actually went, my grandma had very unfortunately broken both of her wrists, but all of the staff were so understanding and accommodating of the circumstances, including adjusting her portion sizes and giving her the rest in takeaway boxes. All of the food we had was absolutely delicious, and it was very well organised so that it didn't feel too busy despite being mother's day.

Absolutely lovely little tea room that allows dogs. I normally hate eating out as I can’t eat gluten but they offer a gluten free menu that has loads of different things on it and even waffles! All prepared separately so no cross contamination. Staff are very friendly. Please go if you are in the area.

Closed down on the market hope they sell and someone open all year around other than just for the summer season it's a waste of a prime spot if it doesn't get put to good use

Went for afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and my god was I blown away!! The food was beautiful and so boujee! Felt like a real fine dining experience for a quarter of the cost! All tasted beautiful and felt extremely catered to. Well done to all at the Littleton x

We have lived in our house for nearly four years and our garden backs on to the beer garden of the Kemble, however we have never eaten there. That changed today and we had Sunday lunch, and wow what an experience it was! Really lovely “local” feel and the staff were brilliant, especially Karen and Kevin. I ordered the lamb and my husband ordered the beef, they came with beautiful home cooked roast potatoes, parsnips and Yorkshire pudding as well as bowls of fresh veg, broccoli, savoy cabbage, carrots and cauliflower cheese. It all came out steaming hot, as you will see from the photo. The entire meal was exceptional, faultless and definitely won’t be our last there. Thoroughly enjoyable pub, food experience.
