I went for lunch on Friday with a friend and the food was amazing. The menu was a fixed price of £9 for 2 courses and £12 for 3 courses with a choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 deserts. The menu was designed by 2 students (Alisha and Robert) and it was excellent, we both could have quite happily had any of the options as they were all good options. As it happened, I had the Thai Coconut and vegetable soup for starter and friend had duck spring rolls. For mains we had homemade steak pie and crispy plaice and avocado salad (the 3rd option was gnocchi) and for desert we had Lemon tart with ice cream and Raspberry charlotte - everything was freshly made....everything even the bread that came with the starters. It was all excellent but I'd especially call out that it was possibly the best avocado salad I've tasted and the home made ice cream was also amazing. Well done to all the students you all worked so hard and served up an excellent lunch you all deserve A* grades. I'd also note that in town you could pay twice as much for the same food so I took the opportunity to tip well and would encourage others to do the same as it goes towards the students end of term night out. P.S. please don't share this review as word might start getting out about how good this place is. P.P.S I wish I'd taken more photo's but just remembered at desert and my photo's aren't at a great angle. You should go though as it was excellent.

We recently ordered a wedding cake for 50 people and it was delicious. We got victoria sponge and red velvet with a buttercream icing. They delivered the cake to our venue and decorated it with a lovely stand and some flowers provided by our florist. Great service and would highly recommend.

Can't believe this isn't the top restaurant in Perth. Definitely our favourite! Absolutely delicious 4 course lunch with matching wines today. As always, excellent service from Christopher and Fraser producing fabulous food. Loved the local gallery which is a new addition since our last visit. Already booked for our next dinner. If you've not been yet, go!

Food was mediocre. Mash had zero taste. Friend smothered her food with salt and pepper as she thought it was so bland and we'd gone there because she was desperate for pie & mash after too long without. Also, the pies are large but the portion of mash is very small, and the gravy (not the liquor) was as tasteless as the mash. The atmosphere was meh but they may have been due to the time of day. There were also guests having a bit of a barney. Which might have been interesting if we could hear clearly enough to understand what was occurring 😄. I will say that the staff were nice and the gentleman who cleaned the tables was wonderfully warm and friendly. The place was very clean, and the tea was excellent (would be better in a proper mug!). But unfortunately, for a restaurant, the food just wasn't great. And this isn't the first time I've been there and thought as much. There are far better pie and mash eateries around.

What a great place! We always have fish and chips when in Whitby but found out about this place online prior to our day trip. We can get pretty decent fish and chips at home so given the great reviews about this place we thought we’d buck the trend. We were not disappointed. Humble Pie is a small place full of character, the 1940s theme is great and the pies are amazing. Staff were lovely and the service was super fast, a relatively small menu means you don’t have to spend ages perusing it and you know whatever you order will be top drawer. We got the steak and stout and the minced beef and onion pies, both were fantastic. There is a lot to be said for pie, mash and mushy peas served on a tin plate with a mug of delicious Yorkshire tea. As a bonus every table has a bottle of Henderson relish on it! Fantastic place with great food. Today we ate humble pie and it was good.

Fast friendly service, a great seating plan for everyone to get a seat, and food, the food is great. Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Fresh Coffee, Hot Milk, Delicious Orange Juice. We went to get some lunch after we finished climbing Ben Nevis! Fantastic foods and such a comfortable place to relax and take in the warmth of fire wood! I had an entree haggis and venison burger main which was a super delicious and generous portion. Clean bathroom and helpful staff. We traveled from overseas and couldn't call the taxi on our mobile but the staff helped call one for us to get back to the train station. Definitely recommend for food and drinks if you are in the area!
