We always stop at the farm shop on our way through to Dorset and again on the way home. Welcoming staff, delicious food on the menu. It also has a lovely fresh food counter with lots to choose from. Fab coffee choices. On a warm day you can sit outside in the barn with chickens running around as it is a working farm. Recommend a visit.

We were able to meet two French friends here, one of whom was disabled, and staff were extremely helpful. Thanks for that. We stayed a while and saw the comings and goings. This place is popular. Popped in for a tea and coffee but decided to have 2 sausage and egg sandwiches too.... We were shocked at the price which was £20 ?? We decided to wait until the food came to see what it was like because we don't mind paying over the odds if the food was good. We assumed we would have maybe a side salad and maybe a few crisps to accompany thr sandwich....ehh no. Out came the tea and coffee which was ok Out came the sandwiches... No fancy bread here...just cheap supermarket thin sliced bread..2 sausages cut in half with 1 egg in the middle...nothing else on the plate lol. Not exactly worth over £7 plus each ....I've had a lot better from roadside burger vans for £4 ... The sausages had a tough skin on which had to be peeled off which also wasn't great. We couldn't comment on other food but what we had was definitely overpriced for what we got .

It may not be much to look at; a small cafe/ shop with a few indoor tables and a barn for sitting outside, but this place is great. Delightful staff chat away with you. Service is so quick. Ingredients all seem top quality, tasty and freshly cooked. I had the breakfast. Proper sausage and bacon. Plenty of toast. Decent price too. A hidden treasure, and even better on a sunny day.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

The farm is lovely (and the coffee good) but as for the cafe, I truly resent being sold/charged for something a business has *no intention* to serve you. I ordered an avocado smash with "black sesame, lime and chili flakes" on crusty sourdough bread, with a price to match. Ohhh nice right? The sourdough bread was very thin and none better than bread from a plastic bag, but ok. The real issue was there was a (not great looking) cubed avo and plain fried egg laid on top - and none of the advertised seasonings or flavors. So I went to the kitchen and requested the items advertised and watched while the cook was directed to find the items somewhere (so they were not out or prepped for serving) and then I listened to him say they don't even have lime, and after some scrambling I was served lemon, and a ramekin of plain *white* sesame thrown together with some chili flakes. So two of the three ingredients are not even kept in stock and I was given not even so much as an acknowledgment of this fact as they handed it to me with a vibe that I was being a pain. Sorry, no. If you want to serve plain and simple fair that's extremely fine, but don't pretend it's something more. And if you've run out of/changed the items, update the menus.

I find it difficult to understand some of the criticisms that are being raised. My wife and I eat here quite regularly and it is what it says. A very good local farm shop which serves decent breakfasts and sandwiches for a very reasonable price with a attentive and professional staff.

Oh dear! While the Farm Shop is really good, the tea time experience was rather less so. Tea was spilt on the table from one of several tea pots being served, and not cleared up let alone a clean-up offer made. Then a slice of lemon drizzle cake was tipped off its plate onto the table and grasped by the waiter's hand (iced top and bottom), and replaced without apology, with a look skywards. Again no offer of apology or replacement. Incompetance on this scale doesn't reflect well on those who prepare such lovely pies and cakes. Hopefully our next visit will better reflect the quality of this place.

We stopped here on the way to, and on the way back, from Cornwall. On the way there (approx 9.30am a week ago) service was ok, and pretty quick, although we only offered drinks and a sausage sandwich. The sandwich was ok but the bread wasn’t the quality I’d expect for £6. The sausages were tasty though. It was clean, easy to park and near the main road so decided we’d use it for our last stop on the return journey. Today we got there around 2pm and it was very busy. The person at the counter was pretty abrasive and told us there was a 40 minute wait for food. I can understand being tired and busy, but that’s part and parcel of the service industry. We ordered cakes and coffees instead of waiting for hot food, and neither of us were particularly impressed with either. The coffee was very weak. The Victoria sponge was bland with a very synthetic tasting cream filling. Overall the offering is average, and we’ll try somewhere else next time.

Never been here before but my friend said it was very good. I must admit, I was surprised that the farm shop is so small. I ordered avocado and egg on toast with a latte whilst my friend ordered a cheese jacket potato. We decided to sit outside which is very rustic with chickens walking around, definitely not for me. Our drinks turned up first and very strong and our food turned up two minutes later. I don't know if they were waiting for the potato being cooked before bringing both meals out, but mine was cold and one of the eggs were broken! My friend asked if I wanted to complain, but I thought by the time I take it back in the shop and wait for a new one, my friend would have finished. My food was tasty but due to it being cold I couldn't eat it all. If I'm honest, it has put me off coming again.

We stopped off here for some lunch during our 400 mile journey back home from a holiday in Cornwall. Really easy to find just turn off the A303 west of Thruxton/ Andover. Local farm with chickens and baby chick's meandering about made for a lovely setting. The cafe /farm shop is well stocked and its all super locally farmed produce. We had a sausage ciabbatta with onion marmelade and a breakfast meal. Both were delicious and of a real high quality. The breakfast can also be customised with extras of each or things like black pudding. Really great value for money as reasonable prices too. Lots of other choices on the menu as well. Took home 2 of their pies for our evening meal and boy were we not disappointed! Steak and ale plus Steak with blue cheese. They were both just wow (we had half each =p). Highly recommend this lovely local farm shop & Cafe, have now bookmarked this on our journey planner for when we next travel to Cornwall! Two of us had the sausage ciabatta which was absolutely delicious , one of us had tomato and basil soup with toast which was pronounced tasty and the fourth person chose the cream tea. There was plenty of cream and jam although he did feel that the scones were a tad on the dry side. The tea pot offered a decent amount to drink. There was a range of homemade sponges and ice cream too which finished off the lunch nicely. I bought a pie to bring away and that will be something for my husband to look forward to for dinner tomorrow!!

We stumbled across this gem, driving from London to Dorset. It was the most wonderful 'service' stop we could have found. Beautiful chickens and chicks roaming free. The food was great, there was a ladder shop with local produce and everyone was so friendly! 2 mins off the A303 and well worth a visit.

Fantastic breakfast only downside no fried bread but with the addition of black pudding I did end up over stuffed. What a great way to start a Saturday. Staff are also very friendly as are the chickens ;-)

We stayed not far away and decided to have breakfast on the way out. Really good value for money and lovely staff. We had stopped the day before as they were closing and no trouble opening up again for us. Highly recommended.

So lucky - as only came here because it was a convenient midway point to meet up with a friend for lunch. Its a little gem of a café with delicious home made soup and friendly staff. The only downside was that I was not heading home so couldn't buy any of their homemade pies and scotch eggs as they looked amazing

My daughter and I visited this clean but bucolic cafe on the way to another destination and ordered two sausage sandwiches (for a late breakfast!) and two coffees. The coffees arrived very promptly as did one sandwich. Unfortunately the other hadn't been ordered (though paid for). The waitress was apologetic and within a very few minutes returned with the second sandwich. Again, she was very apologetic but we reassured her that it really wasn't a problem (indeed, the coffee hadn't been started yet alone drunk!). We then enjoyed very tasty sandwiches and sat back for a few minutes. Just as we were putting on our coats the manageress (owner?) came over with a 7/8 filled loyalty card - buying two coffees next time means 1 will be free. And the thing is there will be a next time! At no point had we complained, but simply because she felt the service had fallen short of her high standards she decided to treat us. It wasn't necessary, but it made us feel valued. Well done them!

Also trading as Ewe Tree Cafe - flyers through the door locally, advertising their breakfast menu we decided to make a special effort to visit. Asked to see their menu but they didn't have one for breakfast but offered us a full English. Very basic & drowned by tinned tomato. Sausage, Bacon, Egg, Hash Brown, baked beans and tinned tomato with toast & coffee @ £4.95. Could have played on local quality produce at additional cost but everything was on the cheap end of scale. Food was pretty chilled on cold plates. Toast was warm bread (see pic) but was replaced by double toasted bread. Not good mayo. It did feel as though breakfast service was an imposition for the staff opening up the kitchen for later in the day.Even the harvester down the road can do better at the same price. Having seen the management responses for previous reviews - don't take it personally and learn from any constructive comments rather than resorting to petty jibes.

The best sandwiches and bread I have ever eaten. The staff work so hard in here and are always friendly. If I could I would happily eat lunch here ever day of the week. The farm shop is also very good for Christmas/food gift ideas.

Won’t be back - coffee ok but woeful miserable staff. A smile, a bit of engagement, even eye contact makes a difference - you want to feel welcome rather than an intruder. Surely when money is tight places realise they might have to go that bit extra to encourage people to go back.

Website showed great promise. Kerbside appeal good, car parking good, service very good ( very helpful and friendly). Strange layout inside as its old building, dining room has no bar. Garden not used to its full potential, only very old tired play equipment for children. Food reasonable, 2 out of 3 meals okay. Third meal of chicken disappointing, either poor quality meat or overcooked or possibly both !!!!! Empty on a nice sunny lunchtime !!! Sorry but would not rush back.
