We had a fantastic visit to the Somerford Arms for Sunday lunch. Food was absolutely delicious - the roasts were accompanied by a great array of vegetables and the best roast potatoes ever. In fact, I think it may have been the best roast dinner of all time. Staff were lovely, nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely fabulous! We were a large party but all food was served at the same time and was super hot and delicious. We were quite disorganised but the owner and her staff were friendly and helpful, despite being extremely busy!

Oh my, I couldn't find a single fault! The menu offers elevated British classics, and the portion sizes left me both satisfied and impressed. And then there was the sticky toffee pudding – brace yourself for a life-changing dessert experience. It's officially the best I've ever had! I'd go back just for that sweet delight. As we had someone with mobility issues, the pub's no-fuss attitude towards accessibility was greatly appreciated. The easy, one-level floor and accessible toilet made the experience hassle-free. In essence, this pub is a delightful escape to the heart of the countryside, blending warmth, excellent food, and accessibility seamlessly. Lovely, pub, food was fab. If you like Scampi those monkfish ones do not disappoint. Also a fabulous selection of zero alcohol beers.

We were greeted with smiling faces and a lovely roaring fire or be it in a wood burner. The food was excellent as was the service Only down side is the lack of parking but that is the only niggle

Amazing food, very accommodating staff. Baby and dog friendly. Great menu, and good beers and wine are available. We went on Boxing Day, and it was super busy, but the food was fresh and delicious. We had some.frwshly baked bread to start, which was delicious (it came with marmite butter, which was delicious). We then had fish and chips, monkfish bites, the partridge and pear salad and the pork belly, which were all excellent (compliments to the chef) and finished off with panna cotta and lemon meringue tart. Was absolutely brilliant and was a fair price for such tasty food! Thank you for a lovely meal, we will certainly be coming again!!!

Had dinner this evening , faultless , very busy with some large tables but it did not impact on service or food coming out . We chose well . All delicious especially the hake with clam bisque , staff lovely and looked after well . Also great that we can take our dog that enjoys coming out with us . Can't fault this place, exceeded all expectations. Came as a family for dinner tonight (Saturday). Staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Fish and chips was insanely good. Desserts great - ate them too fast to take photos, sorry! Beautiful country pub interior, unique, warm environment. Photos don't do the place justice. Proper food not snip n serve, lovely ambience. Our 2nd visit was very disappointing though. The 'cornish crab' lacked most of the ingredients, especially unable to detect any crab at all - more like a dish of coleslaw for £11!! Rip off.

Had roast beef which was delicious. Two large slices was a bit excessive but appreciated. Roast potatoes were delicious, as was the veg. Gravy was too salty for me. I will go again

Absolutely fantastic. My partner took me to this cosy little pub for a birthday meal. We aren’t local to the area. The food was absolutely to die for. We love to visit non chain pubs and the Somerford arms is a perfect example of why we choose independent. Staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely revisit should we visit the area again in the future.

Went for dinner with a friend and was met by a lovely atmosphere, and absolutely great staff. The waitresses were so kind and as someone who also works in hospitality I could really appreciate the effort they put in and their positive attitude. We had a burger, the noodles and a side of truffle fries which were all really great. However the star of the show was the crem brûlée! Very generous portion and great taste. Would recommend to all. Will be going again soon.

This was our second visit to Somerford Arms. It has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere – a joy to be here again. The menu is broad and creative. Even better for us (both my wife and I are vegetarian) the menu not only includes several veggie options, but they are seriously interesting. Some pubs treat veggie options as a reluctant afterthought. Absolutely not the case at Somerford Arms. My first course choice was halloumi fries, pomegranate molasses, honey, sriracha, black sesame – an interesting and exceptionally tasty starter. For our main course, both of us opted for the roasted aubergine, cumin, chilli, fermented vegetables, fruity couscous, tenderstem, tomato sauce, greek salad. Wonderful ingredients. This is exceptional cooking – and beautifully presented. We savoured every mouthful... absolutely loved it! When it came time to pay at the end of our visit, the staff had technical difficulties with the new card payment devices. But they worked through the challenges with patience and courtesy. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Above all the service was outstanding – as it had been last time. On this occasion we were looked after by two young professionals… Could not of been more attentive, caring and courteous. Hats, off to Somerford Arms!

Wifey is gf. The menu is super clear. The meal (haddock gfa) tasted so good that she does not trust it, and scared for tomorrow. I am sure she will be alright.

We visited early evening having made a reservation for four. The pub was not overly full as we had booked early but first impressions were good and we received a friendly welcome. We had our grandson in his pram and without a word from us care was taken to seat us in the best possible location . A wide and interesting choice of drinks were available . The dinner was delicious. I opted for the pork and Nduja Scotch Egg followed by steak pie. All generously portioned and of good quality. No one left a thing. The bill was reasonable and I can’t wait to go back when we are next in the area

Excellent Sunday roast, lots of choice, portions very generous, beautifully cooked vegetables and meat, very swift and friendly service, we liked having the gravy boat on the table and helping ourselves to the vegetables- everything was lovely and hot - will definitely come back!

From the outside it’s not the most attractive looking pub, but step Inside and it’s very pleasant, well laid out and spotlessly clean. The staff is very welcoming, food was excellent and price was reasonable. What’s not to like! We would recommend without hesitation.

What a wonderful pub to visit in the Cotswolds! We were in the local area for a few days and we stumbled upon the Somerford Arms thanks to a Google search. Rachel couldn't have been any more friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and would 100% recommend. We will definitely be back!

Lovely atmosphere, great food and warm friendly staff. This is a village pub with no car park, only a couple of disabled parking spaces, so you will need to park in the street nearby, but we didn't find this a problem.

A must for a Sunday roast. Each element was well cooked and delicious. There was no lack of quality in the middle of the table sharing portion of potatoes, extra veg, cauliflower cheese and extra gravy. Came for lunch yesterday with another couple. Beautiful pub, lovely friendly atmosphere. We were served by a very pleasant young lady. The food came quickly, itwas hot and delicious. The presentation of the food was perfect. Cannot recommend this pub enough. We had travelled from Cardiff and our friends from Oxford, it was well worth the journey! The only thing to be aware of is that there is no parking (apart from 1 disabled space) so you park on the roadside.

Lovely pub and restaurant. Very warm and cosy feeling. Staff were very attentive, even though it was very busy. Good menu and great range of drinks. They sell Aspall, which is always a welcome bonus. Very clean throughout. Food was lovely. As there was 9 of us, we were asked to pre choose our dishes when booking, which I'm not a big fan of. This is because, you may not fancy eating what you pre chose on the day of dining, plus you can't then choose from the specials board. Some of the dishes a little pricey, but on the whole, I would recommend.

We prebooked a lobster sharing platter, we really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. The only disappointment was the lobster was served without the claws which is some of the best meat and especially as the claws are shown to be with the meal on save our pub. Will return to sample other dishes.

Lovely comfortable pub with plenty of seating. We had the monkfish scampi and the Hogget. Both dishes were really nice, although the Hogget difficult to eat due to the high lip on the dish. Very tasty, will visit again.
