Excellent. We loved it. Staff so friendly, food excellent. Beautiful view from restaurant. Bedroom comfy and cosy. Nothing too much trouble.

Fabulous meal using local produce, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice bar area too . Booking recommended.

This is our third visit and once again we're not disappointed .our stay was 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. We opted fof one of the garden rooms which allowed us it out on our own terrace. The first night we ate from the dinner menu. We both had fish options for starter and main and were not disappointed at the quality of the food. The second night we opted for their taster menu and once again we were bowled over by the quality and execution of the dishes. We chose the wine pairing which in our opinion were selected from a variety of source countries. Including a very nice white from Japan. All in all anther successful visit. We have booked our return visit.

Appalling Customer Service - Would not recommend this place to eat or drink. We received a negative response when asking for a reservation for dinner. We were already having drinks in the bar. The service was poor but we were refused dinner and told to come back tomorrow as they couldn't stretch to two extra guests. When challenged the excuse was it would stretch the staff too much. I said we are a party of two not twenty two. This would never happen in London to turn guests away and then say come back tomorrow. Claire then said oh ok what time would you like to eat. Totally unacceptable behaviour. Why would anyone in business ever turn down paying guests. We are on holiday and in 6 days in the St Fillans area and Loch Earn we have not found anywhere where venues are happy to serve. Out of principle we would not return to this venue or recommend to others. Laura is rude and not accommodating at all and Claire was no better. Lucky they get 1 star.

We received a voucher for Achray House including overnight stay and were not disappointed. Lovely warm welcome from Claire and were very happy with The lodge at the back of the hotel. We booked for the Tasting menu with wine pairing and it was fabulous and couldn’t recommend it enough.

We had a brilliant Valentine's dinner at Achray House. Everything was perfect - the service, the atmosphere and of course the amazing food. We opted for the taster menu and paid extra to have paired wines with each course. It was sublime and worth every penny. A real gem of a place with exceptional food.

Myself, my disabled wife and our grandson were staying at a nearby lodge, I had booked for the first evening but we ended up eating and drinking here each of the seven nights. Although it looks at first sight that there are several steps to enter they can be avoided by going up the adjacent lane and entering by the hotel reception. As others have said the food here is impeccable and the staff, led by Claire and assisted by Natasha are outstanding. We especially loved the tasting menu we had on the Thursday! There is a nice selection of malts, we tried most. I would not hesitate to recommend Achray House and on our next visit we intend to complete the experience and stay there.

Wonderful meal. I had the tasting menu and paired wines looking out across the loch. Hotel is fortunate to have such a talented chef. Scallop and strawberry dishes particularly memorable. Highly recommend.

We are back for the 2 nd time Even though we did not stay in the hotel we stopped and had drinks and dinner there, We just cannot speak highly enough of Claire and Laura So friendly ,great hosts,and helpful, The food is great and the hosts are amazing Definitely returning and will stay in the hotel ! St Fillans in the winter is very quiet & certainly did not expect to find this wonderful place. From the start Claire was a perfect host, as vegetarians, we don't have high hopes (sadly) but WOW , the food was tremendous, Panna cotta with beetroot & kimchi to start then Beetroot gnocchi with parmesan cream for main was tremendous. Beautiful setting, wonderful staff & food tremendous.... also dog friendly... 10/10

We had dinner at Achray house on Wednesday evening as part of our winter break in St Fillan’s. The service was impeccable and the food was even better. The restaurant has a cosy, homely feel, the other diners kept to themselves and the servers were friendly but not overbearing- it was wonderful to be able to focus on our food, conversation and each other. Thank you for a warm welcome and a lovely evening, we will be back!

My family and I had dinner whilst staying overnight at a nearby hotel. We had to bring our dogs as they wldnt settle in the hotel room without us but this was no problem for the staff. We were a bit late when we arrived and we’re advised that due to another large table having come in there might be a delay with our food which wasn’t a problem for us, however everything came out in reasonable time. My hubby and daughters all had the steak burger which they all enjoyed, my husband loved the slight spicy flavour it had. I had the breast of chicken and it was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with lovely carrots and veg and the tastiest sauce over it. After that they all had desserts but I had the cheese and biscuits which were divine, served with homemade chutney and quince jelly. One of the best meals I have had and the staff were all friendly and hard working. Will definitely be back!

We have been to the restaurant at Achray many times as we live locally, and the food has always been great. However we had a particularly fantastic meal last night which is definitely worthy of a 5 star review. All four of our party had a different dish and they were all equally as good (the sauces get a particular mention). Thanks to the team for great good and a fab evening.

Lovely evening. Great table with view overlooking the loch. Warm friendly staff. Young lady front of house extremely knowledgeable- her recommendation for wine to go with the venison was spot on.

Ate here several times and very impressed with the quality of food, quantity and the lovely view from the restaurant over the loch. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much bother. A real pleasure to eat here and well recommended.

My wife and I booked a table for an evening meal at the restaurant. We arrived in time for our reservation but were seated after other guests which arrived after us. We waited for 30 minutes for our menus and it really felt like the waitresses were ignoring us. We then waited for another 20 minutes for our drinks to be served. It seemed like our table was being ignored. It was not a busy evening and it was easy to notice that other guests were being catered for. This really spoiled our experience as we felt singled out. This is a real shame as the views onto the loch were fantastic and the food was exceptional!

Service was swift very friendly yet very professional. Food was very good with a choice on menu between more ordinary every day fare and more serious cooking. We tried both and both were very good, well cooked with a degree of flair. Wine list was short but decent with reasonable mark up. Would certainly return.

We LOVED our experience at this hotel. Just came for dinner but we were made to feel so welcome and all the staff were really chatty and friendly. The food was 10/10 and we were left speechless after each course. Amazing decor, lovely music and all around just a fabulous time. We would be back here in a heart beat!

We were staying at the hotel en route to the Highlands and decided to treat ourselves to the Tasting Menu. It was superb - absolutely excellent. Can't recommend more highly.

Arrived for a weekend stay just in time for the tasting menu. Seven courses of succulent selections! Each course was based on a take-away theme, with chicken curry, pizza, noodles, fish and chips, Chinese, etc. and all were the right size for an extensive number...

We couldn't get a space to "dine in" on the terrace, but instead got a takeaway, and really enjoyed it. My fish and chips were lovely, and my boyfriend raved about the burger, and both for a very reasonable price! Only thing I forgot with it being a takeaway was to ask for condiments/salt, but had I remembered I'm sure they would have obliged. Good to see all staff wearing masks and hand sanitiser at the door. Would definitely visit again (in fact we tried 2 days later but unlucky for us they weren't open Mondays!)

The roast beef was absolutely melt in the mouth & the smell of fresh rosemary from the jus hit you as it came to the table. An absolute delight to end a nice day off! The restaurant is stylishly decorated, the views are lovely and the staff excellent. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I had a lovely 3 course meal at the Achray. All 3 courses were beautifully done. My wife loved her venison and I loved my chocolate dessert. Great surroundings. We will definitely be back.

Stayed in the village for a long weekend and visited this restaurant a few times and found the food at all times very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good food at reasonable prices. We will be back.

We booked for Sunday lunch and used the free pick up service from our cottage in Comrie.All three courses were very good, quality food that was well cooked. We thought the amounts of food was just right.As we had transport taken care of we spent most of the afternoon there and enjoyed a few drinks overlooking the loch and the changing weather over the hills.Note the wine menu has sensibly priced choices of good wines, and they are very drinkable:)The new owners have only been in for a year and they continue to makes lots of changes and upgrades across the hotel, plus a new chef starts next month, so I guess the food will be even better.

Had eaten at Achray House a couple of years ago and was well impressed. The hotel is now under new management and we decided to take advantage go a deal on offer. Everything about our meal and overnight seat was excellent. Friendly greeting on arrival. Rooms well equipped with everything you could need including coffee making machine and full Sky package. The tasting menu included duck, pigeon, pheasant, venison and hare. Finished off with a selection of cheeses. (The full cheese selection was at additional cost but worth it). The sweet was a poached pear with pistachios, caramelized milk jam and chocolate sauce. Accompaying wines were also available at additional cost. I took advantage of the full package! Have to say it was one of the best tasting menus I have experienced. The wild duck breast with celeriac, baked apple, pear and beetroot, crisp potato and bigarade sauce was probably the highlight for my wife and myself but couldn't fault any of the courses. As part of my wife's seventieth birthday celebrations we had also enjoyed a tasting menu at a very well know restaurant in Glasgow and we both agreed that The Achray House was much more enjoyable. Highly recommended and hope to return soon.

We booked online for a Wednesday evening for a mixed party from 82 to 15 plus our two dogs, and they were expecting us. We were at first disappointed to learn that the choice was between a set menu with only one choice between two mains, and a seven course tasting menu in the more formal dining room. However we were pleasantly surprised as both the fish main and the steak main were excellent and the fixed first course of leek and potato soup was a posh take on this classic and the most delicious leek and potato soup I’ve tasted. The sticky toffee pudding was also gorgeous. It seems this business has a new take on offering dinner with plans for a steak night and interesting seven course tasting menus - tonight it’s a game tasting night and the adults in our party would be there in a flash but we couldn’t sell it to the 15 year old! The staff seem lovely and genuine and we would recommend it!

We visited the Achray House Restaurant a couple of times with our dog whilst staying in St Fillans in June 2019. The management and staff welcomed us and our dog in to their dog friendly Restaurant overlooking Loch Earn. The food was excellent and service was first class. We have highly recommended this beautiful Restaurant to our family and friends and cannot wait to revisit on our next visit to St Fillans in the not too distant future.

We were staying at the Four Seasons hotel, that has pretty mediocre food these days, so we were looking for an alternative place for dinner.Achray House, which is just 200 yards down the road from the Four Seasons, provides excellent food, created by a Belgian chef. The chef seems to stick to nouvelle cuisine principles, so portions are rather small, but what you do get is just fantastic.I'd say this restaurant is on a par with the Osteria in North Berwick, food of a rare quality indeed.

This was an interesting experience to say the least. A beautiful setting unfortunately belies the tired & very dated restaurant.

The food was first class as was the service and attention to detail. The Maitre D was fabulous and so very attentive.

Well crafted dishes, especially a carpaccio of venison. Decent dry martini to start with though the wine list is very New World oriented. Efficient service with two waiters straight out of Central Casting. All in all, good value

Excellent locally sourced food served by top class front of house team. Wonderful location and views. Free pick up and drop off service for locals like us. Wonderful location with great views over Loch Earn. What's not to like? Would recommend to anyone living locally or just visiting the area.

Try the scallops. You won't be disappointed. The wine list is also amazing. My friends had the angus fillet- also amazing. Definitely recommend.

We had a booking and arrived a bit too late and after the supposed end of service. Even though the waiter wanted to reject us, both the proprietor and the chef accepted us. And the cuisine was excellent ! I would recommend the view, the cosiness and the great art of the Chef.

Very tasty food, well presented by friendly and efficient staff. The service is made even better by being picked up locally and taken back to your home after your meal. Well r recommended. Will use again.

The Sunday roasts at Achray House Hotel are delicious and reasonably priced. Lovely views over Loch Earn.

We only ate here (though on two occasions), rather than staying, so can only comment on the restaurant. The welcome was very friendly, the place had a buzz, and the menu was excellent and wide ranging. It was a pleasure to be there.

Professional and very welcoming. New owners doing there very best and doing a great job. The food was excellent and so was the service. Gemma looked after us very well, she makes sure everything runs smoothly.

In my opinion the best restaurant in the area. Great local produce and great friendly service. Good wine and whiskey selection.

Visited twice this month - for Valentines Day dinner and today for the launch of a weekly Sunday Roast. The welcome has always been great at Achray House with friendly owners and team. Best of luck to Brad & Zelda who have ‘retired’ recently and to new owners Laura & Panu who carry on with the team we all enjoy being looked after by. The food has always been good and we look forward to seeing how the hotel develops in the months ahead!

Popped in for drinks on a cold day. Bradley served us whiskies, wine and coffee in his comfortable lounge which looks out onto the Loch. We were thrilled that he put on the log fire for us.

While staying overnight we had the good sense to have drinks in the bar followed by dinner. What a wonderful meal! Chicken liver parfait was best I've had in a long time. The local fish was outstanding and the chips nonpareil. Ditto the mushy peas. Bradley, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Too full to enjoy a pud but this was one of the best meals of my 3-week trip. Stay here and by all means dine here.

This was a very nice surprise! The food here is not rated in relation to rosettes or Michelin stars, it is however in the Michelin guide. It certainly deserves several rosettes! It is superb! But by remaining independent it can have the freedom to be very special in its own way. We stayed in the Achray hotel for 3 nights. We ate in the restaurant for the first two nights and made a huge mistake and decided on the third night to eat instead in the neighbouring hotel, the 4 seasons, a huge disaster! The place is a shambles, has a new owner and serves appalling food. It certainly does not deserve its rosettes. We regretted not staying a third night at Achray for our dinner. Next time we will eat here every night! Do not make the mistake we made, the food here is really remarkable. Beautiful venison, home smoked Salmon, homemade bread and great wine. A very interesting menu and super staff. Great attention to detail and a lovely little “amuse Bouchée” to get you started. Beautiful dining room, great atmosphere, plenty of space you can sit and have a drink at the log fire before dinner. Open to non residents too. The Hotel has 9 rooms. They can also serve a tasting menu. Generous portions, the whole experience is very good, really worth visiting this restaurant!

Our waitress was friendly and efficient, the food very good, and the views wonderful.The good menu, with local ingredients on offer, gave no shortage of choice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

It doesn't get much better. A prime seat at the front of the restaurant, overlooking loch and mountain and being served a scrumptious 10-course tasting menu. This chef clearly knows his onions. Particular highlights included the haggis bon bons with Iron Brew chilli jam, some simple but spectacular noodles and a yummy white chocolate creme brulee. Friendly and efficient service and finally a roaring fire to retire to while you decide which of the countless gins or single malts you're going to have to finish off an exceptional evening.

Brilliant had the 10 course taster menu and thought it was absolutely superb. Loved it. Would go back without hesitation The staff were so nice and welcoming we will be back.

We were able to take advantage of a 1 night B&B; stay for 2 with 9 course meal for £139. Bargain. Been trying to stay here for years, but with transport being what it is, difficult. Anyway, walked down one of our favourite paths, on the old railway from Comrie and knew we could enjoy a nice night.

We arrived early without a reservation but were warmly greeted by waitress Gemma who was our server for our dinner.

We stayed for a Saturday night. Having arrived early afternoon, we had walk up the hill behind the hotel, leaving us ready to enjoy a relaxed drink on the terrace with a lovely view overlooking the loch. The bar service was excellent. Dinner in the evening was a treat - we had the tasting menu, with a range of small very tasty dishes. The ambience and the evening view over the loch helped make this a really enjoyable dinner. The owner, Bradley, and his staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a very relaxing night and we will certainly be back!

We had booked a three night stay at achray house and dined in the restaurant each night.the menu had a good variety and there were always chef’s specials and pie of the day to add to the choice each even.the food was excellent and the portions substantial.everything was cooked to order and there was good use of local ingredients.all categories should be five star but can’t get review to accept that sorry!

Mi novio y yo acabamos de regresar de una maravillosa noche. Al llegar el hombre de recepción era muy atento en mostrarnos alrededor del bar y salones diferentes y también nos recibió el dueño Bradley también. Nuestra habitación era preciosa, con una hermosa vista sobre el lago. La cena era precioso, tuvimos el menú de degustación de 7 platos y fue una maravillosa experiencia culinaria con la comida que usted esperaría en cualquier establecimiento de 5 estrellas. Disfrutamos de la cata de algunos preciosos que nos hablaba whiskey por Bradley teniendo tiempo para que nosotros nuestras preferencias. Aún llevamos nuestra whisky al salón que tiene una chimenea crepitante hermoso. Bradley es muy atento y nada es demasiada molestia te hace sentir tan bienvenidos y es el más en casa que jamás me sentí en un hotel. También conocimos gente encantadora, en particular, un hombre que llevó esta mañana en un paseo precioso y nos contaron algunas historias histórico y al contarnos todo sobre el pueblo de hoy. Sin duda volveremos no puedo recomendar este lugar.

The food was excellent and I would recomend the "Taster menu" - well done Chef!Our room which had a pleasant view up the Loch, was spotless and had all the usual amenities with more storage space than many 5* star hotels we have visitedWe hope to return in the summer(dv) when hopefully the rain will have stopped!

Popped in today for lunch. There were two choices..pork or fish pie..mushrooms or soup...sticky toffee pud or cheesecake. Between us we tried everything. Three course includes coffee or tea at 22.00 a head. It was beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. The view of Loch Earn from the windows is amazing but today it was hot and i baked at the window..lol...it was worth it.

We ate here on a Friday night as a group of 6. Our table was booked for 8. We arrived and were able to have drinks in the lounge while we selected our food and our table was prepared. Lovely local items on the menu. I had the haggis bonbons and the cheese hash brown. Both were delicious and quite light. Excellent wine selection. It was nearly 9.30 by the time our food arrived. We weren't in a rush and the quality of the food more than made up for it, was clearly freshly prepared but it was quite a long time to wait so perhaps not the place for a quick bite!

New owners and very much more modernised and upmarket. Really lovely ambience and excellent service. Food was truly excellent - I had the venison - melt in your mouth delicious. Beautiful views over Loch Earn. Just go there - you will not be disappointed! :)

We have just returned from an overnight stay at the Achray House Hotel in St Fillans. We had a fabulous suite, fantastic food -both dinner and breakfast - and the owner Brad and the staff couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. I would highly recommend a visit - remember to book the restaurant for dinner as not only the hotel guest enjoy the food on offer.

We walked in this hotel after returning to St Fillans after 6 months and were instantly recognised by the waitress! The eclectic decor from the owners collections from around the world fascinated me once again. After ordering and enjoying the views, we had another faultless meal, cooked to order with fresh, local ingredients. The service was efficient, knowledgable and friendly. If you are either passing through or staying for a few days, this is a must! I must apologise for not leaving a tip, ( I thought my other half had!) promise to make up for it next time!

Great menu, good choice of wines, fine food and genuinely nice service. The only problem selecting something, I could have tried anything on the menu. When dinner was served we were not disappointed, really well presented and it tasted better than it looked too.

We arrived on spec early on a Sunday evening. The restaurant hadn't opened for the evening but the owner saw us, opened up and welcomed us in. He showed us into the lounge, lit the log fire, served us a drink and gave us the menus. The chef came through to tell us about the evening's special dish. Everything was exceptionally relaxed and friendly. When we got through to the restaurant, the food was beautifully cooked and served. Everything was home made, including the fantastic tablet served with coffee at the end of the meal. We will return soon but will book in advance because I'm sure that it will be in great demand in the summer. It certainly deserves to be!

The food here was absolutely excellent. A hidden gem in the Highlands. Warm and friendly staff. Class 1 food. We did order the 7 course suprise meal which is recommendable. The whiskies were very good as well. We are planning to stay here for a long weekend next time.
