The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

We were a party of 25 guides from a South Coast museum who visited West Horsley Place in the morning. West Horsley Place staff recommended the King William IV as a place to eat. They were not wrong. We ordered our meals prior to arrival. The pub has a lovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Tables reserved for us. We were given time to buy drinks and settle before the food arrived. Very slick. All served at the same time. So no one hanging about for food whilst the rest of us tucked in. Food delicious and high quality. The battered fish main meal and the Cumberland sausage main meal especially popular with the group and enjoyed by all. Highly recommend. It's a shame it is not closer to our homes otherwise it would be perfect local for us.

We really loved this gem of a restaurant! Lovely atmosphere and great food. Our waiter Mario was fantastic and gave us excellent service. Sophia was very kind and helpful in suggesting a few cocktails options. We will be back!

What a disappointment! Finally made it to the famous Ivy and left feeling like I'd been mugged. Food was ok. I mean it was perfectly edible and flavoursome. But certainly wasn't anything out of the ordinary or special. Service was slow and on reflection it kind of reminded me of one of those restaurants designed to mug tourists of all their hard earned cash. If you expect the worse, you might be surprised.

He estado comprando fish 'n chips de ellos durante años. Nunca me han decepcionado con lo que producen, desde su pequeña porción para 2. 50 a lo suficiente como para alimentar a cinco de nosotros. Puede esperar mientras se cocina pescado fresco o más chips, pero siempre vale la pena.

If you are looking to eat fish & chips at a not very high price, this is ideal. Tender fish and good portions.

Excelente restaurante de pescado con papas fritas. Recogimos una comida para llevar el sábado por la noche, mi acompañante tenía merluza y yo roca. El pescado estaba perfectamente cocinado y la masa crujiente y ligera. Las patatas fritas eran excelentes al igual que la salsa tártara casera. El personal del mostrador era amable y atractivo, lo que hace toda la diferencia. No puedo esperar para ir de nuevo.

Excellent service from the waiters who are very friendly 😍 The atmosphere of the place is beautiful, authentic, classic and glamorous! ✨ The food, very good. Typical local flavors. 👍

Had a fantastic experience at The Circus, from fabulous food to excellent service, I would highly recommend anyone that’s in Bath to give this a try ❤️ you won’t be disappointed 🤗

One of the best places in London

Had a wonderful evening celebrating a special birthday, ten course tasting menu & we also stopped over in the beautiful Blossom suite. Food, service, ambience all wonderful! Can’t wait to return 🙂

He venido al pub Sherlock Holmes casi siempre que he estado en Londres. Nunca comí allí, pero he sofocado un número de cervezas diferentes en el bar. Me encanta el lugar, aunque no me gusta tanto la renovación del año pasado. ¡Extraño el viejo cartel de colores sobre la puerta!

probs nice if ur straight but was hella homophobic to my mates and i after the trans march, made us remove our badges before we came in and continued to harrass us for standing and exisiting

How can this place have a 5 star food rating, it is filthy, food is terrible and rude staff. I Will not be visiting this place again.
