The perfect place to have a great time in an English pub (with big pints) around Sherlock Holmes’ place ! Waitresses are really nice !

We prebooked a table for 7 a few days in advance upstairs we arrived 30 minutes early but this was not a problem shown to our table this place is a quirky theme sherlock holmes pub really interesting and I'm sure great for tourists, The staff were all really friendly the food was very nice everyone enjoyed there meals the price is reasonable for central London however the upstairs toilet which is one cubical and mixed didn't have any handwash and had urine on the seat so I went to the one down stairs in bar they have separate mens and women's which is better in my opinion and has 2 cubicals however this must of been one of the worst toilets I've seen sick all on the floor and in sink and the bins overflown Would of given more stars but with both the toilets in such a bad way they rrally need to be checked more often

Pub molto caratteristico a pochi passi da Trafalgar Square e dalle principali attrazioni del centro di Londra. Entrandoci sembra di essere catapultati in un’altra epoca, è proprio il “pub inglese” che ci si aspetta di trovare. L’ambiente è molto accogliente, i tavoli sono abbastanza ravvicinati ma nonostante la sala fosse piena non abbiamo avuto nessun disagio durante il pasto. Volendo assaggiare la cucina locale, abbiamo optato per un sunday roast di pollo e una pie di manzo, assieme a una zuppa di piselli e menta come starter. Porzioni abbondanti e cibo davvero molto buono. Il perfetto battesimo inglese! Abbiamo pagato circa 60 sterline che ci è sembrato un conto in linea coi prezzi di Londra calcolando che le portate principali venivano sulle 20 sterline l’una. Sicuramente un pub tradizionale che consiglio per chi vuole immergersi nell’atmosfera inglese a pochi passi dal centro!

A fantastic place on the map of London, the indoor one is a must-visit. Great atmosphere, lots of Sherlock symbols, relaxed atmosphere and good beer. I recommend it 👌

I made a reservation for 1 table for a dinner and they just cancelled it because they needed tables for bigger group!

Fish&chips really good, especially the crispy and perfectly flaky fish! Natalie was super warm, welcoming and nice, I do hope she loved that Finnish Fazer chocolate I gave her as a thank you! Thank you so much for your extra care after that Nat, we really did appreciate it! 🥰 The only minus was those loud Americans in the table next to us, please do be more mindful and demure, thank you!

Really neat restaurant with pretty good food. Service was a little inattentive, especially considering they were not busy at the time.

According to my friend, Sir Rob... This is one of the oldest pubs in London. Had a couple of beers and met some folks from Ohio.. very lively, but also very comfortable.

Enjoyed one of our favourite meals here in London. The Chicken Kyiv was delicious and the Fish and Chips excellent. The best part was being served by Natalie, who was just wonderful. Recommend that you come here for a great London pub experience!!

Superb surprise for this pub luckily we arrived before the crowds arrived! We had fish and chips which was very good. The Sherlock Holmes-themed atmosphere is very pleasant, as is the staff.

Fish and chips was amazing, as was the steak and ale pie, with mashed potatoes.

Called in for a nightcap after the theatre, they wouldn’t accept cash and then wanted me to pay a fee for using my card!!! I thought cash was still legal tender… hmmm so I won’t be back!! Staff were lovely but clearly not to be trusted with cash !!

Just popped in for one drink. Very small but didn't go around the other side, nor upstairs to restaurant. Maybe next time

The steak and ale pie is awesome, this pub also has free wi fi and has amazing lemonade and lemonade in great Britain is very different from lemonade in the United States of America for anybody from the United States of America who's eating here for the first time visiting London but I honestly like lemonade in Great Britain it still tastes good especially at sherlock holmes pub

Great real ale pub. Staff are sound. I didn't eat any food but the Guiness was decent. Prices are about what you would expect in central London.

A typical London pup. Fish and chips was good and sufficient. I'm still getting used to the "perfumed" beer. The bartender was super friendly. And you could try a shot glass full of each type.

Highly recommend this place for its food and atmosphere. With little knick knacks from Sherlock Holmes’ day displayed around the place. Would recommend for a lunch meal or a place to bring visiting family for a cool and good British food experience. The food was also very flavorful, I love what I had, (but forgot the name I’m sorry it was Duck something 😅) but it was really good. Pretty good portion and the duck was tender. Thanks for the food!

The staff was friendly and the Nose oil craft beer was delicious. The Sherlock Holmes cask beer was tasteless because all the steam was gone.

Classic "tourist" pub, does it all right. Proper ambience, wood panels, and Dickensian decor are all on point. Typical range of beers on tap, same for spirits. Nice addition to have the "Sherlock Holmes" room, gives it a quirk. Nice spot to sit and people watch on a sunny day.

Incredible server in the dining room, service was amazing, food was too, and the ambience was of course unforgivable, the Sherlock Holmes and Doyle rooms are beautiful, booking is recommended

Seriously guys, you absolutely have to eat the fish and chips!! With the BEST. Anyone interested in Sherlock Holmes will love this! There is a room behind glass that could be the original Holmes room. Without seeming cheesy. The service staff is super friendly and the beer tastes great!!

It has a very nice atmosphere, but they serve you in a hurry, the beer is very expensive.

This Pub is called The Sherlock Homes its a street away from 221B Baker. It's a proper English Pub. Drinking downstairs & dining upstairs.

Honestly it was absolutely amazing! The drinks where lovely and the caramel chocolate torte was delicious! Magnificent place to eat in London. Very well priced and charming atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly due to our lack of English. The food is very good and it is in a very central location. We went several times and we would go again

A love for Sherlock Holmes is not necessary to enjoy this restaurant but it certainly is a betterness. Great food, great atmosphere. Highly recommended

Great Food and Sherlock Holmes items

This is the third place I've had fish and chips at in the past four days visiting London, and I finally found objectively good fish and chips! The chips were bland as is normal for Bri'ish chips (sorry, England, just being honest), but finally a place where the fish is still crispy and not soggy on the bottom. Nearly rated the food a five because of it, but the typically bland chips and bland peas keep the overall food rating at a four for me. Definitely recommend this place for beer AND fish and chips, though!

We had lunch at the Sherlock Holmes Restaurant, a pleasant atmosphere, decorated in a theme with photos and motifs related to the honoree, we arrived without a reservation and got a good seat upstairs, we were well looked after. The food is tasty and well seasoned, we ordered three dishes, all with meat proteins and they were tasty, the pork belly was sensational, the meat pie with beer was excellent, very appetizing, well cooked and with improved preparation. The beef tenderloin was a little tough, it could have been more tender, but it didn't lose its flavor. As for the cost benefit, it was good, it was worth it.

We absolutely love Sherlock Holmes pub. We stop by whenever we're visiting London. Jo is absolutely fantastic and made us feel right at home. And her sister, the manager is just as friendly and kind. Food was very nice and the drinks are great.

Awesome steak and asks pie! Every time I come to the UK, I have to have a meat pie. This one toss all the others I've had. The ambiance here is fantastic. Just what a British pub is expected t to be.

Booked Sunday roast at Trafalgar Square location. The beef roast looked amazing in pictures online however what I was served was gray and so overcooked I could not even cut it. The waitress took all of 10% off my bill. Very disappointed. Do not get Sunday roast here....try the chicken or go somewhere else.

On September 6, I had the pleasure of having lunch with friends and coworkers. Some of us have been meeting regularly for several years at this spot. We get together every few months. Together with the other members of staff, Natalie has provided flawless service and courtesy above our expectations; she is a credit to the Sherlock Holmes team. As usual, the food and drinks are of high quality, and the cost is relatively affordable given the location and historical significance of the establishment. We sincerely appreciate your service once more, and we hope to see you soon. Sincerely

The staff was fast and friendly, the drink selection was great. All in all a fun London pub experience.

Went for Sunday roast and got bark. My roast beef was so well done o could not cut it. Nothing like the pictures on instagram. Very disappointing. The waitress took all of 10% off my bill and I ate none of the bark roast.

I would definitely recommend a stop in to the Sherlock Holmes! I would advise to book a time for the dining service as it does fill up. The staff were kind and helpful. It was a pleasure to speak with them. The food was delicious. The steak and ale pie and fish and chips were wonderful! If you love Sherlock Holmes there is so much to see in the dining rooms! There is even merch for your souvenir needs. Overall a wonderful time!!

Google entry for pub stated that the pub opened at 11am. Tried the door at 11am but closed. Several American tourists outside waiting too. We all waited until 11.35 before giving up. The lights were on and there were staff members moving around inside but nobody came to explain why they were unable to open. Really disappointing as my wife and I had been looking forward to visiting the pub for years. Not exactly great customer service.

Traditional pub with average food. Nothing exceptional. 'Affordable' prices for London's standards.

It was not the first time we've visited, and we were still enjoying the visits.

Typical English tavern, with good food, friendly service and moderate prices.

We got a very warm welcome with our JRT. The upstairs is a lovely atmosphere and pleasantly decorated with a little the Sherlock Holmes theme. It was good to find a Greene King so close to Westminster after a lot of walk because you know the standards of food to expect. Sherlock Holmes loved up to that expectation, we had the House Salad with Halloumi, and Pulled Mushroom Chilli. Both were well presented and tasted great, the chilli was not too hot (I don't eat much chilli). Staff were attentive to just the right level. A good price too for central London. It's definitely somewhere we would visit again.

Nice authentic pub not far from Trafalgar Square. Serves food but we are just in for a drink. Plenty if seating inside and a little but outside to sample the London atmosphere as its in a lively area

A typical London place and at good prices. To choose the beer they give you a taste. We ate the Sunday Roast, a typical dish that is only served on Sundays. The bathrooms were very clean.

Charming pub with a story to tell. I always love it when there’s a theme. The memorabilia inside the exhibition room are incredible. I can understand why this place attracts many tourists. Quality food and pints make of this a lovely place to grab a bite while out and about.
