Really great atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. Special call out to Shay behind the bar, really friendly and helpful.

Visiting from Texas. Bartender Shay was super friendly and gave us suggestions for further things to do with our night. Good vibe, good seating pockets all over. Would come back again.

First day in London, we happened to walk by here and decided to stop in for a drink before dinner. Shay is amazing! Super helpful and informative, all around great personality

Estuvimos allí el 4 de abril de 2025 alrededor de las 2 de la tarde y los camareros eran muy amables. La cerveza estaba fría y el ambiente era genial, Mientras nos sentábamos dentro, el clima era hermoso, así que las mesas y los asientos afuera le dieron al bar más espacio. Ya que está escondido en la calle, es agradable sentarse afuera cuando es agradable. Los bocadillos de chile servidos como bocadillos de bar eran increíbles. Myself husband and son came to London for the day and wanted a proper old fashion pup meal which we had here. Soon as we walked in we loved it. Sophie was amazing and so welcoming. The food was incredible hat off to the chef. We will be back for sure.

What a cracking little find in the city set back from all the hustle and bustle in Talbot passage. Good range of beer. I can see myself returning to here from time to time.

What’s not to like about one of the oldest pubs in London. Good food and drink.

Solo un funcionario Conocí amigos en el bar así que nos unimos a ellos como tú. Dos grupos a nuestro lado a cada lado. Nos dijeron que no nos servirían ya que había una cola que no era evidente cuando llegamos. Miró hacia atrás y se había formado una gran cola hasta la puerta. La licitación del bar nos habló entonces de la cola y no nos sirvió. Él procedió a servir a los que estaban a nuestro lado, pero continuó por la cola que no estaba allí cuando llegamos. No me sirvieron tan a la izquierda Mala gestión. Un miembro del personal un sábado con el rugby puesto. No es bueno. Fui a otro pub. Sirvió inmediatamente.

A somewhat hidden pub, but worth the detour. I recommend the magpies. The service, great. Available and smiling.

To be honest not a bad little city pub but I have to question the uplift in price from £18.00 to £23.65 for a pie. £18.00 being the advertised price and £23.65 being the total price including broccoli (£3.50) and a 10% discretionary service charge. I did ask the staff at the time but I couldn't be bothered to argue the point.

Difícil tomar una copa viendo como todos los chicos estaban en la esquina viendo algo, afortunadamente una joven me sirvió, pero todo el trato dejó un mal presentimiento conmigo. En realidad sentía lástima por la pobre chica parada sola. Ni siquiera terminé mi bebida, me fui.

Awesome little pub just away from the Hustle bustle of London but close enough to be convenient for a quick pint. The seating was nice as you could sit outside and watch people go bye and also admire the buildings there's a contrast of new and old all around you. The pub also has a lot of history. the average price of a pint is about £6.50 so very reasonable for London

Reece was an absolute gentleman, give this man a raise and a promotion! I will be coming back!

Now this is what I’m talking about. The service is 100/10 and food was amazing too. I’m not really sure but his name started with L and we happen to be served by him which made the experience 10x better. These guys know how to do their job. End off

Booked in December for Feb, great little pub tucked down an alley. Kitchen closes at 4pm so pre ordered and was ready for our arrival time.

Nice PUB for a afternoon pint. I recommend the Britsh pie.

Fantástico pub, escondido, pero vale la pena buscar! Todo el personal es amable y atento. Se ocupa a la hora del almuerzo y por la noche, el ambiente es el de una reunión de amigos, aunque no los conozcas. La comida es muy buena, el restaurante de arriba es pequeño, acogedor e íntimo también. Bien vale la pena una visita, desearía que fuera mi local! No puedo esperar a volver.

Easy to miss, but a lucky glance down Talbot Court drew me in. A good selection of ales, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Unfortunately I only had time for a cheeky pint.

A hidden, unexpected and super pleasant corner very close to the Sky Garden building. Returning from visiting this place by chance we saw an alley (Talbot Court) and in the background some gentlemen in suits drinking pints of beer (it was a Friday). Former tavern The Talbot was razed during the Great Fire of London of 1666 and was later reopened under the name The Ship in honor of the sailors who helped rebuild that area of ​​London and eventually drank in that tavern.

Brilliant pub, lovely staff, great range of drinks, Sean was such a welcoming host and always had a smile on his face, vania poured me a brilliant pint!

I had a great time at The Ship, me and a few friends had an excellent meal and a drink afterwards. Staff are always kind and was very patient with my friend that wasn’t sure what he wanted to order. I will definitely return in the future.
