Very plentiful and quality fish & chips, the portion of fries for two was more for three.

literally awful - sneaky upcharges for everything, vegan fish looked and tasted straight out of a freezer (2 freezer burned pieces for 11 POUNDS?) , they put loads of salt on the chips which were then inedible (my mouth is burning right now), and they couldn’t even be bothered to give me a freaking lemon wedge. insanely disappointed and will be requesting a refund immediately

Arrived in London and had a late lunch around 2 o'clock. I ordered Haddock and it was delicious! Since fish and chips themselves are not a special dish, it was a familiar delicious taste rather than an incredibly new and special taste. I travel to London for work almost every month and this place has become a staple of my visits. The food is tasty and fresh, the atmosphere cozy and clean, and the service is extremely kind and attentive. It's always a pleasant experience to eat there and I'd definitely recommend it. My to-go dish is definitely the fish burger, with a feta salad as a starter.

For me, Hobson’s is the best place for the most authentic fish and chips in London. The taste is truly original and absolutely delicious. I especially love this branch in London – the service is fantastic, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. I also appreciate the variety of drink options – the classic Victorian lemonade is my favorite pairing with the meal. As for desserts, the fried Mars bar is a must-try – it tastes absolutely heavenly. Highly recommend this spot!

Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in a very affordable but still nice atmosphere. What I liked about it is there something for everyone so there’s vegetarian options, vegan, GF. The cod was amazing

The service was great, the location is also good. Unfortunately I had the worst food poisoning of my life. I think after this experience I won’t step foot in a fish a chips place for a while. My wife got the cod, I got the Haddok, she was fine but I had to be rushed to the hospital.

Nice fish reastaurant with very reasonable prices. We opted for fish on the grill, and althoigh it took quite a while to get our food, it was tasty and fresh once it arrived. If you are in a hurry order the traditional fish and chips.

Popular Fisch&Chips in London, very popular with local clientele and tourists. The menu is quite varied, although everything revolves around fish. They have gluten-free alternatives. The quality is excellent, the batter is not as heavy or greasy as others. The chip platter is generous, you can order a portion to share for £1 more. And they also have other options as accompaniment. They have desserts, I recommend the fried Mars bar as a curiosity. The room is not excessively large, and the service is quite fast.

Probably in the top two fish and chips I’ve ever had! We got the fish goujons and they were soooo tender. Perfect ratio of fish to breading and not greasy at all! The chip portions are HUGE! We got chips for two and could have done the chips for one and had extra.

This is a traditional English fish and chips restaurant. They serve both cod and haddock for the fish part. The food is good and tasty. My issue with this place is that when you order 2 orders of fish and chips to go, they don't provide any sauces. They make you buy the sauces to go but if you dine in, customers can get the sauces for free. Another interesting thing is that if you ask for salt and vinegar as part of the to go order, they put them directly onto the chips. Never had vinegar with my chips before so I guess that's a British thing. Overall, it was a good experience.

Highly recommended for celiacs, they can do everything gluten-free. The quality is normal, if you are not celiac I think you can find somewhere better. Even so, as a celiac, I was delighted to be able to try typical London food.

GLUTEN FREE really good fish and chips!! This lovely local place is perfect to try the iconic fish & chips gluten free 👌🏾 the size was really good and the tastes was AMAZING!!! I really enjoyed it, the layer of dough was perfect not too thick just perfect enough for each bite to have the taste of the dough and the fish, the fish is big and feels really fresh!! The potatoes were hand cut making them even better and with the vinegar it tasted really good!! The service was AMAZING, super kind people and fast!!! The place is beautiful, is really local I really enjoyed my lunch there!!! Will for sure come back 👌🏾👌🏾

It has been a long time since I've had breaded fish because so few places have a gluten free batter. This place KILLS it, and you can get gf onion rings too. What a treat!

Outstanding cod with a lovely batter ! Paired with the mushy creamy peas and as the cherry on the top the delicious fries which have just the right amount of fat, this is just top notch.

I suggest you try it, it has very delicious fish.

The food was pretty good, although we left with not the best experience as the waiter was very forceful in making us write a 5 star review with his name in it. After bringing it up continuously before we were even finished with our food, he stood by our table so we would physically write it on our phones and even pressed enter himself on our phones as a way of "helping us" even though we did not need help with our own phones. If only they weren't so pushy and insincere.

I enjoyed the gluten free food prepared in a separate fryer and with precaution s to avoid cross-contamination. My favorite item was the gf onion ring. The gluten free sticky toffee pudding and the gf haddock were good too. There is free WiFi and upbeat music and it’s clean.

We were happy to try fish and chips for the first time here. It was really good !! The waitress is also very helpful and kind. I would recommend to keep the entrance a bit more clean because I had a doubt at the beginning whether it was a good address or no.

Update August 2024 Visited this place again and unfortunately they no longer have the vegan and gluten-free fish. It's either vegan or gluten-free, not both. I was so disappointed and when I communicated this to the manager, she made it especially for me as they had banana blossom in stock. But unfortunately this is only to finish their stock and not after that. Exceptional customer service and would go back to enjoy their chips. Review for visit in June 2024 Loved this place for vegan and gluten-free fish. Something that no one does. First time trying banana blossom and it was amazing. Will definitely be going again.

Nothing particular fancy about this fish and chips restaurant. This chain of 3 serves up crisp and tasty fish of 3 types. The batter is light and the fish is fried at the perfect temperature so not too much oil is absorbed in the crust. I had the cod, chips and a side of mushy peas. The chips were fine but the mushy peas were a bit too runny for me. Almost a soup like consistency. Nevertheless, the flavor was good and the service was quick. They also have gluten-free options. All orders include a 10% service charge.

Simple interior, more like a bistro. Nice staff, ready to advise. We had 2 types of cod and flounder - we liked the cod more, perfectly prepared. The fries are ordered separately and a double portion is a bit cheaper than two singles and is perfectly adequate for 2. The local Hobsons draft beer is quite good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants where you can eat fish dishes. There were more seats inside the store than other stores, so I was able to relax. It was so delicious. Among all fish dishes, I like sea bream, so a restaurant that serves sea bream was appealing to me. The sweet potato was also delicious. I want to go again.

Very good fish & chis. The breading of the fish was super crispy and the fish was glassy and very tasty. Homemade tartar sauce on the side. The fries were typically English, unfortunately a bit limp and not crispy for my taste. But also normal here. The service was quick and friendly.

Went here because of the great rating on google. Food was decent, nothing special. Typical fish and chips, had better at other places when we were in Scotland. The fries were fine, again nothing special. Overall ok. Service was excellent, they were very nice and quick. Probably would not be back. Also skin is on the bottom of the fish which I had not experienced before.

Near our hotel we found Hobson's Fish & Chips. The fish (cod) very well done, although not cheap (£14) was very good. They have a cheaper option (5 pieces with a little more batter and less fish), which we also tried. You order the potatoes separately (£4 for two, but a lot of them and cut by hand, they are not pre-cooked). Satisfied with the food and the service, although 4 of us ended up for £73 (almost €92), but the treat was worth it, at least for once.

There was no wait when we got there around noon. The food was piping hot and delicious. The chips were cooled to perfection. My husband and I split a fish, chips, and mushy peas.

Amazing Fish and Chips! It is supposedly one of the best places to try this English classic and I have no doubt that is the case. The portion of Haddock with Chips is large enough for two people to share. You can eat there or take it away. They do it on the spot and it takes 5 minutes at most. They offer Gluten Free options. Mega recommended.

The store looked appealing at first glance. When the food came, everything was fine. but when you ate the fries they weren't crispy. felt like they were from the day before and had been warmed up again. they were just soggy and inedible. The fish wasn't anything special either. unfortunately not recommended.

Only popped in to test the Gluten free onion rings which I am happy to say passed the test. Wasn't in area long enough to have the fish and chips but guessing in how good the batter on the OR's was I'm sure they'd be delicious!
