The Lamb Tavern in City of London, Westminster

Super moment spent in this place thanks to the kindness of Grace and Maeryn. Special thanks to Grace for the preparation of my first Bloody Mary. The place is very beautiful and the food good.

The place was very nice. The waiter Jordi was very kind to us. He recommended several dishes from the menu and was very attentive at all times. Finally, we did Sunday roast and tried several types of meat. Everything is very delicious!!

On Sunday, February 2, we went to eat Sunday roast at this precise pub. The food was incredible, but even more incredible was the attention of Jordi, our waiter. Without a doubt the best in all of London.

A true, olde worlde English ale house. It drips history in a manner that looks unchanged from the age of elegance. A must visit if you are in London.

Wonderful service, beautiful old London pub located in the historic Leadenhall market, the food is excellent and it has a great selection of beers.

We came twice during our stay and were both time received by lovely people. The food was very good but mainly the scenery is magical and out of time. Harry Potter fans should visit to have a Diagon Alley experience. Special mention to Jordi our waiter the 2nd time 😉

Love this place! We had drinks at Old Tom’s, just underneath the main bar area. Super cozy vibes and lots of fun board games. Jack was amazing! Absolutely great service and lovely person. Kept checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Defo coming back! There’s some delicious bar snacks too! 100% would recommend this hidden gem!!!!!!

Went to the Lamb Tavern last Sunday and had the most perfect Sunday Lunch. We sat at the coveted corner table upstairs overlooking the market and our waiter Jordi was so enthusiastic, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Jordi has a real joie de vivre which is impossible not to find infectious! He even went so far as to ask if he could take a photo of us, because of the perfect placement of the table, which was so thoughtful and just a small example of how intent he was to go above and beyond to make our experience at the Lamb Tavern the very best it could be. I'd also like to thank the chap who was looking after the bar - he was extremely friendly and the service from them both makes such a difference to the whole meal. Thank you Lamb Tavern team, we hope to be back soon :)

We had phenomenal service from Kata! The food was so good and was enjoyed by all. I personally got the Fish & Chips with mushy peas and it did not disappoint!

A fabulous find in the Leadenhall Market. On the second flight it overlooks the central plaza and is a combination of old world charm and a fun upbeat atmosphere. The staff are amazingly attentive with good food recommendations for your group. The food portions were great and the flavors were terrific. We had the Scotch Egg, The Haddock, Half Roast Chicken, Sticky Toffee Pudding. We only missed out on the Sunday Roast Beef by two orders. It is easily accessible by transit and bike. Decor is warm rich wood, with soft white light. We went in on a cold day and it was a safe harbour for us.

A beautiful pub with etched glass windows and warm inviting interior. We went up to the dining area and the staff let us sit for drinks only, it has a great view out into the hall itself. They had Young’s Winter Warmer on draft a great pint if you can find it. The service was exceptional and friendly.

Good standard pub in central. Lovely spiral staircase and friendly staff. Gets very busy on some evening with city workers but great atmosphere. Good beer at standard London prices. Always pop in to drink so I can have a look around leadenhall with a cold beer.

Turned up for a Xmas drink. Dec 23rd at 4pm. I have never seen such a poorly managed pub in my life. Every surface, tables, bar, shelves etc were piled high with dirty glasses. You couldn’t sit anywhere. The bar smelled of stale drink and was disgusting. No sign if anyone clearing away or attempting to wash glasses. For a flag ship pub in the city, the impression this gives to foreign visitors was shameful. Never again.

Bar cum restaurant, serves great pies. Many variety of beer and serves draft on the tap. Double storey but crowded and require reservation.

Went here for the xmas lunch and the vegetarian option on the set menu was shockingly bad. Three things on a plate with the most watery gravy, I was wondering when the rest of it was coming out as my friends all had full plates! The nut roast was simply awful I’m sorry (why was it so sweet?) and broccoli cold and undercooked. Opt for the a meat option instead. The cocktails were nice though.

Highly recommended for a private dining event. We reserved the upstairs room for a corporate event and couldn't have been more pleased with the offerings and the service. Our attendant, Katja, made our experience even better! AMAZING experience!

I have been going here probably too long. Now it's for sentimental reasons only as it's just too busy. Service is passable, staff seem to lack training in basics like pouring beer, never seen so much wasted beer. Massive queues took 25 minutes just to get to the bar.

It was fabulous to be able to book a table for drinks. It's often really uncomfortable to find space for our family group of 15 in the City, but booking ahead and arriving to find a lovely roomy area reserved for us was perfect. We didn't eat, but bar service and staff was brilliant. There was a really festive and party feel to the evening. Just as an aside, please check the toilets regularly, the ladies was terrible.

They don’t answer their phones- tried calling them all week, never got through. Made a reservation for 10ppl but nothing was ready when we got there. Got told we need to find a table ourselves as nothing is booked. Then 20min later someone comes to a table we found with a reservation ticket and tell us that our table is booked and we need to move. Turns out it was our table that they were trying to kick us out of in the first place. Other than that service was good, love the app.

The food, drinks, and service were all great. The food is a little more expensive than traditional pub food, but well worth it. For two meals and four drinks, it came to £75.

Great little pub and restaurant. It was busy and very hot inside so we didn't stay to eat, but the food looked great and the place is obviously very popular.

Tom’s Bar at The Lamb. Superb Old English Pub in the City in a historic covered market area next to Lloyd’s of London. Well kept beer. Proper barman, James, very attentive and great service. A must for tourists Mon to Friday lunchtimes to experience a real City pub amongst Lloyds insurance brokers. Best ever Scotch eggs, sausage rolls and ham & bread. Harry Potter’s film location wand shop in the same market.

A very busy City pub. On my visit the pub had many tourists and even though it was midday very few seats left inside. The pub also has many seats outside, under the cover of the market. The beer selection and quality were good. I had an excellent pint of Young's Winter Warmer

Had a fabulous meal here. The hake was beautifully cooked and the cheese excellent. Our server accommodated all of our requests with no fuss or bother.

Visited this pub this afternoon and was served by James, who was very knowledgeable and helpful with our choice of drinks. Would visit again and recommend to our friends.

A bit disappointing. This is a lovely pub and my friend and I visited Old Tom's Bar yesterday. We decided on eating and chose the cheese selection with cornichons. The food arrives in dribs and drabs and no cornichons are delivered. I have to ask for these only to be told oh we don't have any. This is not fair and feels a bit underhand. Firstly we should not have to ask where the rest of the food is (obviously they felt it not important enough to mention) and secondly if a customer is ordering food and part of that meal is unavailable surely you should advise the customer at the time of ordering, that is only fair because we were still charged the same price. It's just not acceptable to be dishonest like that. Ruined an otherwise nice visit.

A little expensive but the quality is there and we are well received in a great setting.

Not your typical British pub food, ingredients were fresh and the food was well executed. Make sure to have the artichoke dip!

Great location for a splendid informal lunch. Old Toms bar in the best spot for a quality charcuterie board. Our host James is always amazing - very attentive and keen to make sure that our glasses do not run dry.

Old Tom’s under the lamb is my favourite bar in the city. Little known gem, managed excelllently by James the barman who is personable, attentive and an excellent cutter of scotch eggs (which are amazing!)

Food was gorgeous. The surroundings were genuinely uniquely olded worldy and lovely. You can tell how old it is with the stairs. Need to check it out

Kindly accommodated us earlier than our booking time. Very attentive staff and careful about allergies. Plenty of gluten free options and large portions. Would definitely come again when in London.

A fantastic hidden gem under The Lamb Tavern serving a range of ales and whisky’s. But the real reason to be here is the food, a collection of meats, cheeses, pork pies etc Well worth a visit

Amazing Sunday roast at The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall Market! The roast beef was perfectly cooked, and the crispy potatoes with rich gravy were delicious. Huge thanks to Kata for her attentive, friendly service – she made the experience even better! Highly recommend for a cozy Sunday meal.

My second visit. Good, hearty English food in the bustling, gloriously decorated Leadenhall Market. My friend and I both had the delicious Shepherd's Pie and I had the crumble. Highly recommend👍🏻

A jewel in the crown 👑 of architectural beauty that is Leadenhall Market. A comfortably sized pub over two levels with an iron spiral staircase between. This pub sits in the centre of the iconic market with superb outdoor, covered market drinking, gets busy out there but that leaves space inside to enjoy a heritage pub of character. Modernised decorative narrow windows separate the spaces. There's interesting perimeter perching, even edging the stairs, open spaces & table & chairs upstairs. All under a modern pattern papered ceiling & elegant, new large droplet hooded lamps. The long L bar has windows of space between the pillars, providing a more private feeling of pub service. The decoratively edged back bar has a broad range of drinks & an interesting draught selection. There's a vibing team serving to banging great tunes. We'll modernised heritage pub in a work of art architectural beauty that epitomises London.

Such a lush pub! Perfect vibe where it was busy but you could get a seat! We were served by James who served us quickly and efficiently! James was very polite in his manner and managed to deal with the busy very well! We will defo be back!

We ate quietly upstairs and the dishes were plentiful and really very good. I recommend.

Lovely vibes in a downstairs pub. The selection of wines was good and the ale was great! We had a selection of cheeses a scotch egg and a sausage roll, which came with lovely dark bread, some pickles and a delicious sweet onion chutney. The bartender James was awesome, helped us pick out a selection of cheeses and made sure we had everything we needed. He was friendly and in good spirits- we chatted loads about music. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food but James was just a great dude and really elevated our experience. Will definitely be stopping by again the next time I’m in London!

We went for Sunday roast. They didn't have the beef on the menu-we were there at 2pm so not late, but they were out. They also didn't have bloody Marys as advertised. We ordered the pork which could have been cooked a little more and the veggies were barely warm. Service was fine and we liked the atmosphere but overall a disappointment.

Went for the Charity Winter Warmer breakfast. Great fun - not everyday you see a horse drawn dray! Excellent food. Lovely staff. 👍😀

Nice place located in Leadenhall Market. Only stopped here for drinks while exploring London. Was helped by Jackson who was very helpful and welcoming. I didn't have any food here, however, I can attest this is a great place for a pint and for people watching while sitting outside. Cheers!

I always enjoy popping around the downstairs pub, Old Tom's Bar and bring my friends when they come to visit London. The pub itself is an interesting piece of history, made even more so special by their best employee, James, who will tell all that there is to know about this place, best drinks on offer and, of course, best places to visit in London. I simply love his expertise. He makes the pub and the atmosphere super welcoming and relaxed. It is always lovely to receive such a great customer service.

James made me the best old fashioned. Highly recommend

First customer of the day. Service staff was attentive and friendly. The spicy tomato juice was superb, the braised lamb dish was nice, ambience was great, had a seat overlooking Leadenhall Market. A nice cosy spot to dine.
