Toby Carvery in Ashfield

Was really looking forward to it but couldn’t eat it so tasteless didn’t enjoy it at all

the hole meal was just chucked on and the beef was fatty .not order from here again.

Driver drove different location rang me when there and then took further 10 minutes to get to my location which was 1 minute drive from the location they stated they was. Food was cold and the restaurant forgot Yorkshire puddings for all 5 meals

not hot...warm at best had to microwave it 😒

Julie was great with service. Always had a smile on her face and very helpful. Service was quick and the food is lovely. Great value for money.

We, sadly, booked on a day 2 for 1 and that was a mistake really. Despite the booking there was a 20 minute waiting time, once seated, far too many people Qing for food.

Popped in for lunch today. Lovely service from Julie. Very prompt, polite and friendly. Carver Ben was polite and friendly too. Food hot, good quality and great service!

The sausage on the breakfast baps was burnt. The hash browns was cold but still edible. The breakfast was horrible. The container was a mess was literally swimming! The sausage was undercooked in the breakfast bowls.. great carvery. Horrible breakfast.

The food was cold when i received it. Had to lose my rag because just eat was prioritised. The chef looked like she could with a bath and some new chef clothes everything was grey. On eating the food , that i had to put in the microwave even though It says do not reheat, the cauliflower i had to throw away because it was old and hard, the peas were like bullets, my yorkie was massive but it was soggy, my partners yorkie was tiny. I also had to make my own gravy as theres never enough. The staff were ignorant, id been stood there with a good 5 mins before she got her head out of the lap and acknowledged me and then she barked at me "they ll bring it out stand over there". So safe to say i wont be going there ever again. PS even the dog wouldnt eat it.

Our server today was Olivia and she was really helpful. I ordered the vegi meal and she told me when it was cooked so I knew when to go up for the veggies. Many thanks

Came in to Toby on Wednesday it was very calm and quiet in there which is unusual for toby, I was served by leticia she was so helpful with whatever we needed ,nothing was too much for her Ben was our carver and he did a great job with our meat it's always nice to have service with a smile will definitely return

Every time I eat here I'm welcomed by the friendly staff, thet are always so polite and they always go a friendly smile on their faces. The food is amazing and carvers are so happy and patient.

I came in yesterday for dinner and was greeted by our lovely server Leticia. She was very kind and helpful with my vegetarian son.

Great meal and atmosphere. Never a complaint. Leticia was our waitress, very nice girl. 👍🏻

my server letica was extremely helpful yesterday when i came in , i had my baby with me and letica got us a high chair straight away , mikey b carved the meat for me and he made sure i was happy and even went out of his way to ask about my day , letica asked us if we had any allergies which is really reassuring having an allergy myself , letica and mikey b made my experience very pleasant i will be returning

I had never been to Toby Carvery before and I was a little overwhelmed with anxiety when it came to ordering as I have a dairy & gluten intolerance My server, Nicole, was so kind and helped me so much with what to order and overall made my experience 10/10. I will be back again especially with servers who make the atmosphere amazing.

iv not been for a while for various reasons, nothing to do with anything here at the watermill. as always the service from entering to leaving was geeat. the interaction with the staff is always a pleasure m, nit to mention the food was as lovely as ever, special shout out to kyle on the carvery, and wonderful service by our waitress alicja.

While in the area seeing friends thought we would give Tobby a go after years of not being to a Tobby. Sorry my opinion hasn’t changed we arrived about six oclock in the evening. Was greeted by a lovely young waitress. All four of us had the carvery I wasn’t impressed there was no beef available so I chose pork and lamb. As I find Gammon salty Turkey dry . There was only a tiny bit of pork and lamb left the man serving the meat he had a job holding it to cut as it was so small, The lamb was a leg joint he served me the bit what was left was grisly . Veg wasn’t any better either. Mel who I was with left most of his Lamb I certainly won’t be rushing back. And for the quality and price think it’s a ripoff. As I can go to a pub a short drive from were I live and get a roast dinner that everything is freshly cooked six different vegetables on your plate and a choice of meats covering the bottom of your plate which is absolutely delicious. Used this pub on numerous occasions and the quality and portion size of the food is always spot on. And for £15.95 for a roast dinner with all the trimmings is an Absolute bargain . And the option box below which food would I recommend I would recommend going somewhere else.

Visited yesterday and was greeted and served by a lovely young lady named Nicole. She was very fast and kind and witty. Nicole left me a review sheet and Lewis and Daz were carving. Food was excellent as always!

Food was lovely as always, everything was hot and well cooked. Olivia was our server and she was amazing, checked in on us throughout and made sure we had everything we needed 🫶

Well what can I say I love coming here for breakfast but after today I don’t think I will bother again 5 of us went for breakfast as normal on Monday everything was just over cooked and burnt the bacon and sausage was inedible so unfortunately will be giving this a miss in future

Came today for a carvery & even though it was busy the service was very speedy. Nicole was our server & even though she was rushed off her feet she cleared the table & brought our drinks & puddings quickly. Definitely coming back!

Dirty tables left for the entirety of our meal. Food was ok, but I’ve never seen such a poorly pulled pint of Guinness. Wasn’t left to settle, no wonder the head was massive. The Irish would have a fit

Presentation messy in the box, to much stuffing and potatoes not much veg or meat or gravy,yorkshire was as flat as a pancake but must say the dinner was tasty,but the roasts were so tough not eatable

We dined in the bar area and was told to pay on the way out, it's only when we had our food we were told we had to pay so we could get our cutlery. Which didn't help as the food wasn't that hot. The young lad at the back of the counter was picking roast potatoes up with his hands and putting them in a bag.

Went last Saturday, we had 2 of the amazing Yorkshire pudding wraps, I had the need and partner had the gammon one. Delicious and cheap! Definitely going back at some point. Oh and staff super attentive and friendly, seems to be a rarity these days 😊

Fatty meat and warm beer not bothering with this place again

I ordered takeaway carvery. It was delivered cold, with not alot of meat. The veg was hard, the Yorkshire puddings was hard and dry, the roast potatoes was black and some was undercooked.

Busy as usual... Friendly staff and a good carvery..Best to book in advance or you risk not being able to get a table

First time coming to a Toby Carvery and found it to be underwhelming. Took 15 minutes to get served at the bar as only 1 woman was taking orders despite there being 5 people stood behind the bar. Drinks were warm. Food was OK at best. I feel for £15 a head you can get better elsewhere.

Staff are pleasant and professional. The food is okay, not as good as it once was. Portion control on the meat is excessive, which means the veg on offer needs to be a lot better than currently presented. Very busy but not too bad a wait considering.

Food was cold, roast potatoe had gone bad and black, no mash so had to smash a potato

Outside area we're tidy but abit neglected the rodent boxes were a plus and minus because of the company taking control of the issues but off putting at the sight and reason behind having those boxes.

Truly enjoyed out visit to,Toby carvery today . The food was excellent good Quality Food even had a pudding , the service was outstanding what ever we asked for we got it nothing was too much trouble for Alicia .

This was a great place and this made my day with there amazing food and the service was impressive and there was so good because they were being very nice to the kids and I could never disagree with that they deserve a 5 out of 5

A wonderful pub for an all you can eat breakfast.

We came quite a while ago and were very disappointed in carvery. Hardly any meat on plates, veg & gravy cold and we decided wouldn't come back. I recently had a money off voucher so decided to use it tonight and give it another go. We were very pleasantly surprised. We were seated in an area we had requested online, our server Alicja was welcoming and friendly with a big smile. The carver was Hollie and again pleasant & friendly. After this evening we are now prepared to visit again hopefully in the very near future.

Food was lovely. Delivery Guy was not, sat at the top of my drive pipping his horn as he didn’t want to come down the driveway,

No roast potatoes no stuffing toby are normally my go to this order was very poorly put together

Thoroughly enjoy the carvery, everything is cooked nice and is very tasty, well worth a visit.

We spent our Valentines here, and I've got to say we have visited Toby Carvery on many occasions but yesterday was by far the best Carvery we have had! And we love a carvery. Absolutely spot on!

The carvery is well worth trying, will have the same on my next visit.

The beef is almost always good here, the rest of the meat is always good, potatoes and veg are good for a carvery and a good variety, there's often a long wait for a table of you don't book.

just had a carvery at Toby carvery, excellent start to finish. Booked online which I'm pleased we did as the place was packed. Table service by was excellent. Very friendly welcoming and no waiting from start to finish. Atmosphere brilliant every one appeared to feel how we did. Well done Toby, we'll definitely be back 😊

As always great food and service, especially by Olivia, who had a great smile and sense of humour, and was there as soon as we all sat down, only negatives, gets really busy, with people waiting for their tables and then trying to get through and past these people with your delicious food, but wouldn't stop me coming.

Order never arrived but says delivered who ever was supposed to deliver it I hope they enjoyed it. Will never be ordering from them again

We had such a lovely evening for a family meal. Holly G was our server and she was brilliant so helpful and cheerful.

Delivery was prompt, the driver did a good job.

The manager is SO rude. I understand Sunday is a very busy period but there is no need to be rude. Was told we can sit at tables to the right, so we did. We then got told to move because there are no table. After going online we was able to see there was booking available for the next half hour. We obviously chose not to eat here due to how rude the manager was
