Great value for money, tasty food and good service. Decor a little tired, chairs and menu were stained.

£75 for 1 starter, 2 steak & chips, 2 pints and 2 red wines…wouldn’t mind if it was really good food…but like others have said, very poor quality food & heavily overpriced. Wetherspoons has better quality/priced food by far.

Absolutely terrible food.fayre ground food at pub prices.£16 for a burger I wouldn't give to my dog.however the chips where nice but would need a bucket full to justify the price.when I was asked how my food was they walked away from me as I was talking.the only thing I would recommend is avoiding this place. Iv had better pot noodles. #eat at home save your money

Taking the mother in law out for lunch came across this pub that had a special on which was fantastic value didn't expect much on the food until it came out. Well presented and cooked fresh 😋 👌 we had a three course and it was absolutely lovely and the course was like clock work and the service was great and polite 👍 really enjoyed it here and will be coming back as they have different specials every day I would highly recommend and also they have plenty of parking spaces.

Went there wi missus and father in law best meal we've ad for ages

Thought we woykd try again as our last visit was terrible, nothing changed , prawns for the prawn cocktail were horrendous and our steaks were very tough again , will be a while before we return , shame as we were regulars there once upon a time ....

We have been here a couple of times, it’s local, always thought it was ok, (you get what you pay for) but today, all 4 meals were inedible . 3 steaks ordered, 1 medium, 1 medium/well & 1 well done. They all came out the same, well done. The medium 1, had gristle, which flossed the teeth/gums & made bleed. All 3 steaks wer hard, gristley & very chewy, (cremated) would have been better on the bottom of shoes/boots. I ordered Hunters chicken, without bbq sauce & bacon & a jacket potato, the chicken was awful, still had skin on, hard around the edges, but undercooked in the middle, quite stringy & fibrous, I’ve never tasted chicken like it, l couldn’t eat it. The jacket potato was hard, not cooked in the middle, but hard & crispy (shatter proof in fact) even the butter couldn’t soften this potato up. The best thing about this lunch was the Pepsi Max, & even that was flat, no bubbles, not the slightest bit refreshing. Not once did any 1 ask how our lunch was, obviously , they must have known the answer All in all, inedible, we won’t be going back. 0 stars from us. 🤢

I have a SEVERE PEA Allergy so this did not affect me but my wife got A BAKED BEAN in her Sunday Dinner GRAVY, the waitress said they use the same ladle so it probably dropped in,, when I said this to the "SNOTTY RUDE" dark haired girl behind the BAR she tried saying the waitress is WRONG, they have Bain Marie's next to each other with the Pea's, Bean's and Gravy in and it probably dropped in when passing over the top of the Gravy, so I said, then this COULD QUITE Easily happen to me with the PEA'S and that would put me in Hospital, she then tried back tracking and denied that she said the Pea's was also in a Bain Marie,(what difference does that make?)what if my wife had a BEAN Allergy?? I asked her if anyone in the PUB had been given Training on "CROSS CONTAMINATION" her reply was,, YES THANKS BUT WE ARE CLEARLY NOT GOING TO AGREE ON THINGS SO I WONT SAY NO MORE,,,WELL YOU WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SAY SOMETHING IF YOU END UP KILLING SOMEONE AND GETTING SUED IN COURT, if you have any Allergies at all then I strongly suggest you give this PLACE and the RUDE, SNOTTY STAFF A WIDE BIRTH, especially if you want to LIVE, I honestly believe only one Person did the Health and Safety course and they just made copies of the Certificate for the rest,, AVOID!!!

I’m absolutely appalled. Terrible atmosphere, terrible waitressing she might as well of thrown the food down on the tables. Not a single smile on her face. I found a pubic hair on my steak, when I reported it to the staff they just claim it was off the mushrooms. I have never experienced mushrooms with hairs. They never apologised and made me pay for the whole meal. I hadn’t hardly eaten anything because it put me off. I give this steakhouse a 1 star. Will never go back.

Christmas Day dinner not fit for a dog. Salmon burnt sauce congealed soup cold. Should never of come out the kitchen like that at £70 a head total disgrace

We had our Xmas festive girls dinner there on Friday 8th December. The food was beautiful, we all commented on how much choice there was for the 4 of us. We all had different starters and different mains too! The young lady that helped us with our wine choices was lovely. I believe her name was Taylor. So polite and nothing was too much trouble so thank you to her. We all had a great time with lovely food. The wine went down a treat too. If there was 1 thing that was slightly disappointing is that it closes at 10pm on a Friday night. Could have quite happily sat there in the warm drinking and spending money until midnight. All in all a great experience for a 3 course meal for 20quid each. Would def recommend.

I always take my mum here when I visit. It's always clean and the staff always friendly. The food is great too but the star is the chips! Best homemade chips anywhere, genuinely! Would recommend, but best to book for food, it's gets busy!

Came for a meal last week was lovely Atmosphere was brilliant but the young girls didn’t do a thing left everything to the poor man who was named Tony who was the only one bringing out food to every table while the young girls behind the bar was making drinks and leaving all the mess for Tony to clean up or fix. Should work as a team and not let one person do it all.

You certainly get a lot on your plate , the meals plentiful and the steak cooked how we liked it. 4 of us had starters main meal and drinks, just over £100 .. Quiet for a Friday but close to xmas i guess. Staff helpful and friendly.

For years the broomhill has been our number 1 go to local restaurant, most weeks we would go in for a good meal, then there was a change of manager and the menu was totally re designed, it lost a few favourites from the menu gained a few new dishes but the main thing that was noticed was the prices increased quite a lot compared to before and so now it’s not a cheap meal out for the 4 of us, coupled with the fact the last couple of times the steak hasn’t been up to the usual standard so we don’t go as often as we used to, and have started going elsewhere, shame :(

I came here recently for a family get together and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this pub was inside. The service and food were great. I’d definitely eat here again I love that these nachos were more like home made that out of a bag! Really nice!

Food was decent. but they absolutely cripple you on the drinks. 12 quid for 2 small cokes less than half as crammed full of ice and a pint of San Miguel. Be mindful of that.

Absolutely amazing food I ordered the chicken sharer as a starter I wasn’t expecting it to come out as big as it was it was amazing and for main I had the fajitas with steak will was also amazing I really enjoyed the food and my girlfriend had the sausage and mash which she said was really nice aswell definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Had a really good meal with partner...good food choice and drink selection. Only downside was the number 4 table top was very wobbly.

I’m recently widowed and usually cook for myself on a Sunday but I thought that I’d give the Broomhill a try out instead. The dinner was top class and the waiting staff were absolutely magnificent No more cooking for me on a Sunday. The Broomhill will get my custom every Sunday from now on

We have only just moved to the area and thought wed try out our local. We took some friends for lunch on the sunday. Wow it was fantastic food and drinks. The decor it amazing and the staff are so polite. The staff member Ryan that served us was very polite and attentive., Nothing was to much for him. Thanks to all the staff youve made it our local. What has happened to this place - ok never high end , but used to be good value. We went yesterday - had to wait ages - then food was a reminder of pretty poor school dinners. I had the steak and ale pie which looked like a child’s portion between 1.5 - 2 inches wide if that , watery gravy and frozen peas. Will certainly not be going again.

Food was absolutely shocking spent over £50 and not even half of food was eaten. Ordered a double cheeseburger it and it was burnt didn’t even eat any of it as it wasn’t edible. Ordered a mix grill the sausages were burnt and the CHICKEN WAS STILL PINK. Ordered a medium steak with Wexford sauce it came out burnt to a crisp I couldn’t even eat it and my sauce came out freezing cold. Ordered halloumi fries and they was rock solid. Definitely not eating here again. A waste of money.

Good reasonable food not expensive

First visit for Sunday dinner. OMG food was Aaaamazing.The braising steak melted in your mouth, Yorkshire pudding ginormous & have NEVER tasted stuffing like this stuffing, totally beautiful. There was a long wait about 50 minutes, & I felt it was a bit steep paying £10.44 for 2 cokes & two lime & sodas. But am I going back for food??? Oh yes, one of the best sunday dinners I have ever had. Thank you Broomhill pub Hucknall 😍

Food and service was good but drinks very expensive

Just had a "cheese burger " as thin as a 50p just as hard, the sort you buy 50 for £ 1. Could literally pour the grease out of the onion rings. Did not eat it, never again

Called in without booking was able toget a table food disappointing just about warm probably due to only 2staff being on doing few job s at a time so food was probably left standig first time there cus passing but probably give a miss next time sorry guys. This is an old revew.

First time trying this place after it being recommended, myself and my partner was really impressed you get what you pay for the chicken share platter was nice for me to have nibbly bits the chicken popcorn and chicken wings are amazing the coating on them is lovely, my partner had the mix grill and she was impressed the steak was done how she asked it to be and the rest of the meat was cooked perfectly. The coleslaw is perfect and had a few cheeky cocktails which was really nice. Staff was friendly and polite. Would definitely go again and definitely recommend.

The heel of my trainers would of been easier to eat than the steak I got served complained they swapped it but came out over cooked and fatty and full of grissle never going there again

Used to be regulars foods gone up 3 quid a meal got about a a 3rd less on the plate the side salad we orded was basically a bowl lettuce with a bit of mixed salad placed on top very disappointing

After an unexplained 45 minute wait on a quiet evening whilst others around us had been served after ordering later, our food arrived. The mains (one surf and turf, one chicken dish) were well cooked, the sides both breaded where harder than the dish in which they were served. Had we not been hungry after such a wait they would have gone back to the kitchen.

Disappointed after waiting nearly an hour for food, food came out luke warm, food on the floor and under the tables, Had to ask the waiter to clean the floor where we was sitting. Wont be going back and they wasn’t overly busy. 1 waiter running tables too…

They have changed the menu which shows no gluten free food which it did before also higher price and slow delivery has before it was quick serve so disappointed been a regular customer for years not now

Booked a table for 7pm for 10 people my Mother's birthday. Arrived to be told waiting for previous party to vacate table waited 45mins. When finally sat down ordered food told there was a wait. Food arrived at aprox 9pm. We ate the food but wasn't the best we'd had there before most was cold. Over dried out. Most disappointing thing no one came over to check on us or apologise. Ruined my mums birthday 😔

We booked a table for my mum’s birthday the table wasn’t ready when we arrived at 7pm, it was so busy we had to stand at the bar for around 30 minutes with 2 disabled parents and young children this was awful, when we finally got to the bar to order we we told there would be a wait for food, what we didn’t expect was to still be waiting at 9pm, when the food did start arriving the first 3 plates were wrong, the pizza was overcooked and hard the chicken skewers were dry as was the burger, on the whole it was terrible, none of us actually enjoyed our meal, my mum’s night was ruined, the children were tired and irritable, my 6 year old daughter didn’t get to bed until after 10pm, not ideal on a school night.

Took advantage of the Tuesday 3 course deal, all the food came out promptly. Staff were lovely and helpful. Will be visiting again.

I don't know what's gone wrong today. But 1hr 20 to get your meal and then for it to be completely wrong when it arrives! Seriously, it's not right. Normally, you get good service and beautiful tasty food, and I would be happy to recommend eating here, but today.........

My partner and I go here every Tuesday for dinner, always lovely, well cooked appetising food. Nothing is to much trouble, especially as I am Gluten Free. Definitely recommend.

Dined there yesterday found a piece of wire in my chips! Never even got and apology. Just took the plate away replaced the chips and it looked like they had just chucked the burger back in the plate!!

We enjoy our meals enormously at The Broomhill Inn, great staff, I can highly recommend the Braising Steak dinner, beautiful, very big portions too, I don't need to eat for a week after visiting here !
