Lovely evening in a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the fixed price menu and there was a good choice of dishes. Adam was our waiter and he was exceptional. Very professional & friendly. The only thing that could be improved would be to replace the dead flowers (which were on every table) with fresh ones!

The cartridge works is always a lovely place to visit for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. Especially if you’ve been to the philharmonic. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful.

An amazing afternoon tea, everything was so light and fresh. We love afternoon teas and have been to the Ritz and the Plaza in NYC, the quality and taste was much better here, seriously good. Staff were lovely and Erin really looked after us. Looking forward to eating there again soon👌

Great cooking to compliment an extensive range of wines by the glass including fine wines kept by the Coravin device. Wait staff discreetly available. Portion control fantastic, just leaving you hungry enough to order a dessert.

We went for a Mother’s Day meal and it was just perfect. We were a large booking and they made us all feel so welcome! The service was outstanding, staff were so attentive. We had the four courses Mother’s Day menu and the food was just exceptional! We really can’t wait to come back again and will definitely be making a Mother’s Day annual trip!

This must be our 4th stay at The Hope St Hotel & we have eaten every night of our stays in the hotel using both the Carriageworks & the bar menu, never been disappointed by either . Love the option of choosing the cheeses that appeal most. The staff are brilliant & always knowledgeable about their product , friendly & helpful whilst still professional. Can't wait for our next stay .

We went for Mother’s Day, from walking in to leaving we had the best service, we where really looked after nothing was to much for them, the food was the I have had in a long time, the roast beef dinner was perfect, thank you for a lovely Mother’s Day x

We were a big part of 19 and had pre ordered our food. At the last minute 2 extra guests joined us which the staff dealt with brilliantly. I cannot fault the staff at all. They were excellent from start to finish. The food was fabulous too. All in all it was a totally 5 star experience.

We tried the A La Carte menu and knew it was going to be good once the miniature bread loaves came out with the chicken and truffle butter. We had the port tenderloin, rabbit and brill in chip shop curry sauce. All were excellent (brill was the best) followed by beef fillet, rack of lamb and guinea fowl which were so tasty. Daisy was our server and she couldn’t do enough. I’ll be coming back here because apart from serving us excellent food and service. I have a smile on my face typing this out thinking how good it was. Highly recommended.

Really Disappointed with Woeful Service and Poor food. Family meal and staff spent too much time fawning over one table and ignored everyone else. The place has all the right qualities; nice location on hope street by the hotel, good decor, friendly and capable staff. The three different wines we had were good, and the organisation of the meal from start to finish was good. Bread with scented butter was a nice entrance to the journey of food. I didn't have dessert as I wasn't tempted by the offerings, but the passion fruit sorbet I tasted was really nice. Here is the part where I am critical, and I hope constructive. I do not remember any major wow moments with the tastes of the food. I had the celeriac fondant that only skipped on my palate when I bit into the spring onions underneath. Apart from that, I do not remember it. I had the mushroom pie, that is not called a pie, and it underwhelmed. I was expecting moistness in the pie to add a depth to the taste, but it did not. I am no expert in the world of mushrooms but they felt undercooked on my teeth in the way that mushrooms can only do. I have given it very good on the stars front because it was very good, however, in my head I expected this place to be or want to be an excellent. It did not do this. There are a couple of limitations to my review. First, I am a vegetarian and in higher end places we tend not to be on the top of minds when preparing mains. My mum had the lamb and she thought it was top! Second, it was expensive, but not that expensive when considerinng the wine easily chewed a quarter of the bill. Perhaps I expected too much. I would go again, but I would not choose the fixed menu.

A high quality restaurant with amazing food and excellent service. It has a stylish interior and fantastic wines and cocktails. We took our 2 year old with us and this wasn’t a problem for the staff whatsoever. Vegetarians and vegans are also catered for and dishes on the menu are clearly labelled. Our experience was so good that we recommended this to the rest of our family for the next special birthday celebration! It thoroughly deserves its AA Rosette awards.

We went to the Carriage Works for New Year, after we had been to the Philharmonic New Year concert. We have been to the Carriage works many time, for Sunday lunch, Afternoon tea, Evening meals, we have had food in the bar. Each time, we have had a wonderful experience, both with the beautifully cooked and presented food, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. Yesterday Libby attended to us and was so lovely, friendly and helpful! I can’t wait to go back, we eat out quite a lot and I have to say it is my favourite place to go!

Six of us had supper, an extremely poor supper at 1730 hours on New Year’s Day. The pork was tasteless and cold and my scallops were minute. One friend said that one of her two scallops was cut in two ie not a whole scallop. They were minuscule. Dietetically speaking to serve food without a vegetable is not acceptable. Under my cod there was a minute piece of spinach( perhaps, as it was not obvious what it was) A very poor menu with only three or four choices. As a vegetarian, my choice was zero. We complained. Good business and good customer relations would have been concern and action to remedy. This place must really analyse what it offers, the quantity and quality. Would I and my friends go again, certainly not. Tina Platt

Came with friends for dinner after visiting the Philharmonic Hall, My food for each of the three courses was cold (scallops/pork fillet/toffee pudding and bland flavour. After complaining for two of the three courses the response was 'will feedback to chef'. If I may tell you how disappointed I was at my experience at LCW today. Sorry but my criticism should not happen It’s a lovely venue. This turned into an uncomfortable and embarrassing experience.Next time for my Phil concert visit I intend to book elsewhere.

We booked for dinner during a family trip to Liverpool. We started with pre-dinner cocktails which were excellent and nicely presented. We had a three course dinner of fantastic, tasty and well pressed food, with excellent, friendly and attentive, but not invasive service. We throughly enjoyed the email and will be back, would highflying recommend to anyone. A very happy new year to all at Hope Street Hotel and the London Carriage works.

Beautiful restaurant, staff are amazing, very attentive nothing is too much trouble for them. We had the afternoon tea which was scummy. My friend had the alcohol free fizz which was also delightful.
