It was a good experience to visit the pub with a pint of Staropramen. I heard that this place is a traditional old English pub located in the historic Cains brewery building.

Looks like a nice place but don't make an effort to go there. Since it's a bit out of the centre, I checked the opening hours to be sure it wouldn't be a wasted trip. So fortunately I knew it advance it closes unusually early (9pm) But when I walked there from town, arriving just before 8pm, I was told they were going to close early. In 5 minutes. It really bothers me when that happens. I think it shows disrespect to customers to randomly change business hours. In my case, it was my last night in Liverpool and there were numerous places I wanted to experience but I chose this one because it was in the old brewery and looked interesting. But in the end it was just a 20 minute walk there and 20 minute walk back regretting my choice. One star review may be a bit harsh because if you are passing, and it's open then give it a go by all means. Might be a great experience for you. But for me, it was just an annoying waste of time.

Always loved this pub….BUT- there’s no need to have the music on that loud- particularly late afternoon! It’s a great drinkers’ pub but I have walked in and walked out again SEVERAL times- I get the feeling the lads behind the bar simply turn it up for their own benefit. Several people have agreed with me on this….even the ‘younger’ types….tv screens acceptable BUT has lost its atmosphere due to the racket- can’t really even talk over it. Please have a re-think; it does NOT suit your pub, particularly as you can hear it from over the road, and even louder with speaker by the entrance door. Thanks, hope to return soon- TJ

Located in the wonderful Cains Brewery Village is The Brewery Tap ,a classic pub that I love visiting, my only gripe is that it only seems to be open Friday to Sunday. A great looking pub, a traditional interior, dark wood features, a superb looking serving bar, nice decor and furnishings and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Cains Brewery Village. We were here on a Friday evening, we track and traced and ordered a pale ale each, we sat outside, our pale ale's were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the evening and night ahead while sipping our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced, full bodied pale ale bursting with taste, a big hit of hops, hints of caramel, a delicious aroma, a really refreshing brew on a hot evening, it was just so good being out and about again seeing places like Cains Brewery Village and this pub bouncing back to life again. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here, had a great time before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Brewery Tap is easy to locate along Stanhope Street at the entrance to Cains Brewery Village. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Closed. Friday to Sunday, Open from Midday. A wonderful pub ,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Before the coronavirus lockdown my twin brother Stephen and I visited Cains Brewery Village and one of the first places we visited was The Brewery Tap, a great pub to chill out in. I love the look of this pub, a cool interior, very traditional, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Stanhope Street. We were here on a Friday afternoon, we ordered a pale ale each, these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. My pale ale was outstanding, a rich, well balanced pale ale with a great aroma,a very pleasant aftertaste, a big hit of hops, very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of, it was just so good being in such a wonderful pub enjoying such a refreshing beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here and although our visit was only fleeting as we were pub and bar hopping around the Cains Brewery Village as on every other visit to here we had a great time. We went to the Cains Brewery Village the next day and noticed this pub was closed for temporary renovation so it might be worth checking out if it's open. The Brewery Tap is easy to locate on Stanhope Street, an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants. Well worth checking out if your in the area.

We were heading to the eclectic Brewery Village and decided to drop into this great traditional pub located at the main entrance to the former Cains Brewery complex. This is as traditional as it gets, a lovely red bricked facade with a great interior, a superb wood carved serving bar, beer posters and enamels adorning the walls, mirrors, all the usual beer decoration you would expect to find in a great pub, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and outside on their cool Sun trap terrace ( weather permitting ). We were here on a Saturday afternoon, this pub was busy with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant and smiling member of staff ,after a quick study of the real ales on offer we both opted to have Kansas Avenue Brewing Co " zesty jester " this 4.8% real ale was served in excellent condition, we got a nice table were we just chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our delicious real ales. This was one seriously good real ale,a well hopped and well balanced beer, very easy to drink and a beer style I really enjoyed, my twin brother Stephen also gave the thumbs up to his real ale. We really enjoyed our real ales in here before we moved on as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Brewery Tap is easy to locate on Stanhope Street, next to the Brewery Village. Cosy pub that has a great atmosphere wheb theres enough people inside (doesn't take many). There's usually a fair few flies buzzing round, but that's more so to do with the age of the building. I believe the whole propety is undergoing a refurb in the next year or two. The drink prices are a little high for my liking. They don't break the bank, but for a little old-school boozer, I wouldn't say they were good value either. They have 3 TVs with Sky that show regular sports events, which is good. All in all, solidly avarage gaff.

Called here for a drink and stayed for food. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. I would like to complement the staff member called Andrew (slight of stature with a beard) if I ran a hospitality venue I would snap him off you. Worth his weight in gold twice over. We had booked this restaurant before about a year ago and had a really good experience. Unfortunately this time it didn’t live up to the same standards. Prior to arrival when I booked the restaurant I asked for limited salt on my food. I had ordered the turkey roast dinner and upon eating the food I noticed there had been a lot of seasoning added. It wasn’t expectable, I did have to take it back and did order an alternative main course which the waitress organised for me which had minimal salt. It’s very clear that my dietary requirements were not listened to. Further to this, a suggestion should have been made to warm the dish up for the other person whilst waiting on the food that’s being replaced.

It's a nice drinking spot. We we're a little disappointed that there seemed to be less choice on the board than we saw advertised, but i think it was just luck of the draw and not a reflection on the pub. Relaxing atmosphere.
