Baltic Fleet in Liverpool

Traditional but unique pub as a stand-alone building in the Albert Dock area or really closer to the Baltic Triangle neighborhood. A bit weathered on the outside but the interior was cozy, which is just what I needed with the wind whipping as I walked to the hostel nearby. Tons of draft options and four cask handles. Crowd was a good mix and it was busy for a Saturday night but not overcrowded. Nice.

Was on a walk around the docks and fancied a drink so popped in for a pint. Lovely atmosphere, decoration and choice of ales. Settled for a stout and watched life rush by outside for a while. Was card only on my visit, not an issue for me using Google pay.

Nice pub with a great selection of beers! However, they DO NOT SERVE FOOD. Only crisps here, but Tesco is next door.

Great historical pub, full of character well worth a visit gives you the flavour of how life must have been years ago .. no stars for food as didnt have any!!, could do with abit more music to help create a better atmosphere

Not what it was, shame they took out the old bar. However you look at it , it's good but not the brew pub it was.

So many new-to-me beers,if I wasn't pacing myself for a city wide experience, I would've collected them all.

Before I start, I didn't eat there, but I am sure the food would be excellent. The Baltic Fleet has undergone significant upgrading in recent years, and further work is planned for the future, staff are very polite and convivial. I met with the owner, a descendant of the Holt shipping family, a very "Liverpool" company. Good beer, served and kept well by a beer lover. This is one of my favorite pubs in Liverpool. I first visited this pub back in 2008. It has changed a lot since then. Great atmosphere and service. Located across from the Liverpool docks. They have a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. Loved the Guinness. It is a short walk from the Hilton Hotel where we were staying this past weekend for the Liverpool Legends Match. They have seating inside and outside. Very clean pub.

Great old style pub, right opposite the Albert dock & M&S Arena. Handy for a pre-event round of drinks. Good selection of draught & bottled beers!

Liverpool's last authentic brewery. They have an excellent choice of beers and, a notable detail, background music at a decent level.

Gem of a pub with a brilliant playlist. 4 casks but all too often no ambers/reds but bland pales..Nice staff but not one of them can pull a pint correctly. Spraying the head is a cardinal sin.

Literally chose this pub for the food, which got great reviews. Turns out they no longer serve food (other than crisps and nuts). Pub was fine but don’t plan on eating dinner here.

We had the upstairs room to ourselves and enjoyed the view and the quiet. Beer choices were very good!

We were there on a football match day. Kind service but no food and a (too) quiet atmosphere.

Proper pub with a proper history. Good beer, wood burners, architectural loos, right on the waterfront. Go there.

Lovely, traditional pub, not overdeveloped, near the Liverpool docks. Unusual shaped building, so a slightly unusual bar room layout, but who cares. Great beer choice, card payments only (no cash) when I visited. I was there on a Friday early evening, it was busy, but people tended to come and go in waves, so you might struggle sightly to get to the bar, but 15 minutes later the bar was deserted. In the Good Beer Guide, if that floats your boat.

Really nice pub. Just a pub. No fancy faff, no djs, no food, no theme, no agenda, just beer. I liked it. Proper old fashioned stuff , ultra proud of its Liverpool heritage and spot on the docks. I hope it doesn't change a jot in the next 100 years.

Did not eat here so won't comment, went in on the way up to the baltic markets, great little pub, recommended.

Great place for a nice drink, good selection of beers, staff are friendly. Has the sport. Also if you look at it from far away the chimneys makes it look like the front of a ship! What more could you ask for?

This building looked interesting and inviting when we walked past but saw a notice saying "card payments only", so didn't bother. Cash is our legal tender!!

Was in Liverpool and finally got to come to the baltic flee ,the beer is great, the service good, BUT THE PUB IS VERY ORDINARY, I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED, NOT A PACH ON THE BARTON ARMS IN BIRMINGHAM, VILLA FAN

A great Liverpool pub close to the Albert Dock. The pub has an excellent selection of domestic and imported beers, on draught and in bottles.

Nice place, good beer but the young lady serving behind the bar was too interested in her phone and not delivering a good service.

Lovely historic pub, great location. They seem very proud of their history. However, I was very disappointed that they do not accept cash, have have fallen in to the digital trap. Left my drinks as my card didnt work, and they wouldnt accept my cash. Definitely wouldnt leave a tip, as the young bar woman was very surly and not at all friendly. I will not be returning.

I was looking forward to sampling the real ales but after ordering my drinks was told in a surly manner that cards only were accepted. No apology, take it or leave it. I chose to walk out and Wetherspoons got my money instead. Arrogant.

Fantastic pub, good ales, unfortunately the Love Lane Pale Ale was off. Can't understand why its card only for payment.

Friendly staff and great variety of drinks, mainly beers on tap! They don't serve any food but do have some crisps. Good place to grab a drink !

Used to visit this pub frequently before Covid lockdown and its recent makeover. Met 3 friends here for a few beers, and the ale was as good as ever and reasonably priced. Our only gripe, and it is a big one, is the policy of "card only". It may be true that most people pay by card these days, but to make it the only payment method is a step too far. What about people who choose to go out drinking without their card? What about people who (for a variety of reasons) are unable to own a payment card? What about people who, for whatever personal reason, don't like to use their card in pubs? Sadly we won't be re-visiting while this discriminatory policy exists. Such a pity, as it is otherwise a good venue with friendly staff and excellent ales.

Dropped in here for a drink on Saturday evening. It is a lovely pub with nice friendly staff and comfortable seats. More atmospheric than our hotel bar. Good value too and a nice place to chat.

Lovely pub opposite the docks and beside Ibis hotel. Great choice of local craft beers and hand pulled ale. Staff were really friendly, informative and chatty. Plenty of seating outside too.

Can't go wrong with the Baltic.

Lovely old Pub, survived modernisation of the docklands in Liverpool. I was 5 years to late to taste home made beer 😜 but still a amazing building 😍😍😍

Busy as always when we went, Weihenstephaner on draught was fantastic and the young lad doing the burgers outside was spot on, great food for a great price, lovely pub lovely toilets and staff were welcoming. Only problem 'we don't take cash', absolutely ridiculous. I know it's the digital age but my card chip had broken and had cash on me luckily or so I thought, obviously we managed but it's a stupid decision. More Belgian and German beers would also be nice. Otherwise a lovely pub.

Great pub in a good locations with loads of character, good choice of beers but prices more for tourists than locals which is a shame

Visited this pub last night and ordered 3 pints of a nice cherry flavoured beer. Enjoyed everything about the pub until I left. When I got home I checked my bank account to discover I was charged £20 exactly for those three pints. This left a sour taste in my mouth when I realised how expensive the drinks were but also that the figure must of just been made up by the member of staff as £20 doesnt even divide by three. Unless the staff member has tipped themselves without my permission or just rounded up without even asking. Therefore I cant reccomend this pub to anybody if they are just making up the prices of their drinks as they go. Going forward I'll have to start checking the contactless terminals before tapping my card without thinking.

Decent enough beer and a good range of local brews but no food from inside the pub - as described on the website - only a burger van outside.

Staff and friendly and helpful. Great to see one of the old proper pubs still going and from the number in there when I last went doing well

Lovely little quirky pub that has recently been renovated. Came last Saturday afternoon with my husband for a few drinks around town and was pleasantly surprised how big it was inside. No seats left outside as the sun was out so we found a seat inside which was nice and cool by the door. Will definitely be returning in the future!!
