A proper pub with a great selection of real ales. It can get busy but if you don't mind standing it's not a problem. Nice and cosy around the back of the bar with a good fire

Called in for a quick drink as we were passing on the way home. Quite a busy Saturday night but we were served pretty quickly and with a friendly smile as if we were regulars. Two spirit drinks reasonably priced, nice clean glasses and even somewhere to sit. Can't comment on the food but we will be back again especially now I know you serve Paulaner 😁

It's a nice drinking spot. We we're a little disappointed that there seemed to be less choice on the board than we saw advertised, but i think it was just luck of the draw and not a reflection on the pub. Relaxing atmosphere.

Still my favourite pub in Liverpool. Great atmosphere and excellent beer.. always a good range. The history of the place is also fascinating.

I have to say this is the worst smelling toilets I've Ever smelt, I didn't need to ask where the toilet was because I could smell it from the bar FFS sort it out please 🥺👃👃👃👎

A pesar de estar siempre alejado de los negocios de “tarjeta solamente”, la Flota del Báltico estaba adyacente a donde nos alojábamos, parecía un buen borracho a la antigua, así que pensamos en chuparlo, solo por esta vez. Al llegar al bar pedí un Guinness y un vino blanco. La chica detrás de la barra tiró del Guinness, y lo dejó reposar en la bandeja de goteo mientras ella recogía el vino. A su regreso, colocó el vino en la barra y me empujó la máquina de cartas. Toqué mi tarjeta, pensando que todavía estaba dejando que el Guinness se asentara, pero luego pasó a servir a otra persona. “¿Qué hay de mi Guinness?” Yo digo. – ¿Es tuyo? Ella dice, señalando la pinta que había tirado no 30 segundos antes. – ¿Quién sacó eso? – ¡Err, acabas de hacerlo! Yo digo – ‘No, no lo hice’, ella reacciona y luego pregunta a los otros dos tipos detrás de la barra cuál de ellos la sacó, a lo que ambos responden incrédulos “¡Yo no!” Como la chica ya ha empezado a servir a otra persona, uno de los chicos recarga el Guinness y yo pago por ello. Como un disparo de despedida, la chica me grita ‘la próxima vez, solo deja que la persona te sirva, ¡ahorra confusión!’ Huelga decir que bebimos y Foxtrot se dirigió a un establecimiento más amable y acogedor con personal que estaba en realidad en el planeta tierra.

It is a precise pub. In a unique building, lots of light and good atmosphere

It doesn't look anything fancy from outside but it's a canny pub, prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly

Great pub. Lots of Ales and dog friendly. 2024 update: a lot less real ales now after pub refurbished and IMHO, it's a shadow of its former self.

No longer brews their own beer but reasonable selection in good location if you want to avoid expensive fizzy lager in Albert Dock

Difficult to find the entrance on approach. On entry, disappointed to find all vestiges of original interior gone. Served by not unfriendly staff a reasonably priced pint of bitter. Ultimately shocked on visiting the gentlemen's rest room to find the most unhygienic toilets it has been my misfortune to clap eyes on. The interior looks like the house that Jack built. Someone in the not too distant past has spoiled a very important part of this city's heritage.

Often come here when we've been walking from Aigburth down the waterfront to the Albert Dock. It's just on the right as you come out of the dock. It's just a small walk on the other side of the dock road dual carriageway. I believe its now a Grade 2 listed building. It has quite a history going back to the nineteenth century and has a very unusual triangular construction. Haven't tried the food in here recently so can't comment on that but they usually have a great choice of real ales and beers.

Would have been a fair experience BUT they have succumbed to the NO CASH payments manipulation that will land the people of this country in further dire straights than they are already. I will never be returning until they accept actual MONEY

Lovely place for a pint, especially in the summer and great selection of beers - cask and craft keg (plus the usual culprits).

If you’re visiting Albert Dock but prefer the more traditional pub for a decent pint of cask, then this Grade II listed bar is the place to go. Choice of 4 top cask ales - I had the locally brewed Oatimus Prime APA - a great scoop when the ☀️ is shining. Large 🖥️ behind the bar showing the Euros

Fantastic beer, so well kept. No headache the day after the night before. If that isn't a glowing reference I don't know what is.

A great pub if you want a more "old school" English pub experience. It seems to be one of the few (perhaps the only) place in the area that has maintained this "vintage" atmosphere. You will find several beer labels, some of them local. About the food, I believe they don't have a kitchen, but you can order the classic pub snacks - roasted peanuts and chips (both processed) if you want. A great pub if you want a more "old school" English pub experience. It seems to be one of the few (perhaps the only) place in the area that retains this "vintage" atmosphere. You'll find several beer labels, some are cask beers. As for the food, I don't think they have a kitchen, but you can order the classic pub snacks - roasted peanuts and French fries (both industrialized) if you like.

Chilled, the toilets are a delight. We sat outside under halogen heating.

If you’re a lover of both cask and craft beer’s this is definitely worth a visit has they have decent range of beers to choose from. It has a number of small adjoining rooms and the seating areas are all serviced by outside lighting. It’s quite comfy overall however it was a little on the cool side during our visit despite having a warm real fire burning so we only stayed for 1 drink. We will have to visit when the weather improves. It was very popular with the locals.

Traditional but unique pub as a stand-alone building in the Albert Dock area or really closer to the Baltic Triangle neighborhood. A bit weathered on the outside but the interior was cozy, which is just what I needed with the wind whipping as I walked to the hostel nearby. Tons of draft options and four cask handles. Crowd was a good mix and it was busy for a Saturday night but not overcrowded. Nice.

Was on a walk around the docks and fancied a drink so popped in for a pint. Lovely atmosphere, decoration and choice of ales. Settled for a stout and watched life rush by outside for a while. Was card only on my visit, not an issue for me using Google pay.

Not what it was, shame they took out the old bar. However you look at it , it's good but not the brew pub it was.

So many new-to-me beers,if I wasn't pacing myself for a city wide experience, I would've collected them all.

Before I start, I didn't eat there, but I am sure the food would be excellent. The Baltic Fleet has undergone significant upgrading in recent years, and further work is planned for the future, staff are very polite and convivial. I met with the owner, a descendant of the Holt shipping family, a very "Liverpool" company. Good beer, served and kept well by a beer lover. This is one of my favorite pubs in Liverpool. I first visited this pub back in 2008. It has changed a lot since then. Great atmosphere and service. Located across from the Liverpool docks. They have a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. Loved the Guinness. It is a short walk from the Hilton Hotel where we were staying this past weekend for the Liverpool Legends Match. They have seating inside and outside. Very clean pub.

Great old style pub, right opposite the Albert dock & M&S Arena. Handy for a pre-event round of drinks. Good selection of draught & bottled beers!

Gem of a pub with a brilliant playlist. 4 casks but all too often no ambers/reds but bland pales..Nice staff but not one of them can pull a pint correctly. Spraying the head is a cardinal sin.

Literally chose this pub for the food, which got great reviews. Turns out they no longer serve food (other than crisps and nuts). Pub was fine but don’t plan on eating dinner here.

We had the upstairs room to ourselves and enjoyed the view and the quiet. Beer choices were very good!

Proper pub with a proper history. Good beer, wood burners, architectural loos, right on the waterfront. Go there.

Lovely, traditional pub, not overdeveloped, near the Liverpool docks. Unusual shaped building, so a slightly unusual bar room layout, but who cares. Great beer choice, card payments only (no cash) when I visited. I was there on a Friday early evening, it was busy, but people tended to come and go in waves, so you might struggle sightly to get to the bar, but 15 minutes later the bar was deserted. In the Good Beer Guide, if that floats your boat.

Really nice pub. Just a pub. No fancy faff, no djs, no food, no theme, no agenda, just beer. I liked it. Proper old fashioned stuff , ultra proud of its Liverpool heritage and spot on the docks. I hope it doesn't change a jot in the next 100 years.

Did not eat here so won't comment, went in on the way up to the baltic markets, great little pub, recommended.

This building looked interesting and inviting when we walked past but saw a notice saying "card payments only", so didn't bother. Cash is our legal tender!!
