Sir Thomas Hotel Restaurant in Liverpool

Had a booking here which was booked 12mths before just to be cancelled 2mths before due to go due to being refurbished, tried to book online only to find rooms available but for double the price I paid originally. So they clearly was not being refurbished but just wanted more money! Pissed off and angry to say the least, I don’t know about anybody else but I certainly won’t ever use my business there ever again! Very unprofessional and disgusting behaviour 😡

Only visited the bar but very impressed. Great beers and apparently VERY good Aperol Spritz according to the missus!

Had a 3 night stay here, superb newly refurbed room, very comfortable. Great bar, lovely drinks and food all the staff were excellent but in particular the young Irishman, all I can say is that he is a massive asset to this hotel.

We had booked a room at this hotel in advance and have already booked flights and activities which are not refundable. We have just been informed that the booking is cancelled due to "overbooking". Absolutely unacceptable.

Cancelled my booking a week before I was due to stay stating they overbooked. I went online after they cancelled my booking and there were rooms available for the date I had previously booked. Very disappointed

Nous n'avons vu que la partie restaurant et c'est déjà bien assez. Si vous avez le malheur d'être un touriste et non un anglais passer votre chemin, vous n'aurez pas le droit de manger dans la même salle que les anglais on vous mets dans un endroit bien moins sympa et surtout vous n'avez pas le droit d'avoir une carte avec des plats, seulement du snacking car c'est bien connu les touristes ne mangent jamais de vrai plats. On essaie de vous expédier assez vite en vous demandant ce que vous voulez boire alors que vous n'avez même pas enlever votre manteau. Bien-sûr quand vous demandé la carte affiché a l'extérieur on vous dit qu'elle n'existe plus alors que vous pouvez bien voir que les locaux n'ont pas de sandwichs dans leurs assiettes. Nous n'avons bien évidemment pas mangé là bas.

For posh hotel the rooms let it down dirty and cob weebs everywhere and the bedding wasn't charge

I stayed with a friend from 27.-29.of November2023. The hotel was very central, clean and all the staff were so helpful and welcoming. A special Thank you to Callum. Can highly recommend a stay there when in Liverpool

Wow looks lovely from the outside and inside but came away VERY disappointed first time in Liverpool wanted to celebrate something went in for a meal, one meal came out smothered in salt and gravey was stone cold, so had to eat alone, wow the waiter seemed nice but at the end seem to tell us he was taking the meal we sent back untouched off the bill like he was doing US a favour - spoiled our evening and our first evening out in Liverpool. Wow all a bit shocking really.

The meal I have just not eaten today was a great disappointment as was the service. My soup was warm it had quite a thick skin on top, the bread was very hard and I had to ask for a portion of butter. I could not be bothered to ask for a soup spoon so used my dessert spoon. The flavour of the soup was good. My main of chicken was horrendous the chicken was so hard and dry I would have needed a steak knife to cut it, the potatoes were both black burnt and soggy goodness knows how, the vegetables were fine, the stuffing was dangerous as it was not cooked inside but still wet (should only be served cooked through) the Yorkshire pudding was fine thank goodness I do have a photo to support all of my comments. As to the service we ordered a cocktail which my friend really enjoyed I had Prosecco which was served with a slightly mouldy raspberry! We also ordered a small bottle of still water but unfortunately received a sparkling bottle. The wait for lunch after starters was over long but not as unreasonable as explaining the problems with the meal and waiting for him (the manager) to respond after speaking to the kitchen. Let’s put it this way he didn’t. He finished his shift and went home. We were left waiting for a response and the bill until I got so fed up I went to the bar and was told he had left. SERVICE I don’t think so. Oh well I will vote with my feet never again wasn’t worth the money at all

We were booked in for my daughter’s graduation day which was a special occasion,we called the day before as check in is 3pm (very late) to ask if we could check in an hour earlier to get ready as we needed to be at the graduation at 3.15pm and was told yes On arrival we were greeted at check in by the rudest member of staff who abruptly said no your not checking in check the website, we explained that we had a conversation the day before and was told an hour before would be ok We were there with my daughter dressed in cap and gown and she said ‘you two can get changed in the toilets’ we were getting pushed for time so I couldn’t hang around arguing as we we’re going to miss the most important day of our daughter’s life so I proceeded to get changed in the public toilet! My partner asked to speak to the manager who then said they had a room for us so we had to quickly get changed,then said we could keep that room On return from a long day we went back to the room which was to the front of the hotel and had 10 minutes sleep all night as it was like sleeping in a nightclub! The room 105 was boiling as you could not open the window and there was no air conditioning and the blinds did not shut letting light in The room was grubby and small, not at all like the pictures advertised The bathroom was small, dirty ,broken toilet seat and filthy shower We packed early and went down to pay where we expressed our concerns to be offered a complimentary breakfast which was as you guessed horrible with cheap produce We were assured the manager would call us and despite calling the hotel twice NOTHING so here is the review-don’t waste your money Honest and accurate review

Had an excellent evening here for Eurovision! The three course meal was excellent, fantastic friendly and attentive service throughout, and great atmosphere.

After a lovely afternoon at the Royal Court Theatre, we had booked for a group of six people to continue the birthday celebrations. When we arrived we waited for a staff member to take our drinks order, three people ordered gin with slim line tonic, they got gin with soda. Considering the costs of the meals, the service from the start was poor to say the least. No one asked to take our coats, we asked for the menu and received one menu between six, when asked for more menus were told that they were being printed. When were seated in the restaurant, one of the tables kept tipping up. Some of the starters stated shared, two people ordered goats cheese. when it arrived it looked like sick, and the taste well you can guess, another person ordered the shrimp, that never arrived. The main meals got worst, one person ordered Sea Bass it was covered in froth, and looked disgusting. Two people Steak and Ale pie, pastry not cooked on the bottom, another chicken that i have seen better at McDonalds, another ordered the breast of duck, she was unable to eat it. Despite all the complaints the staff said the manage would come to speak to us, as you can guess she did not arrive, it took us sometime after demanding to speak to her she arrived. This restaurant is very poor and overprice, table had no napkins, when we asked for some, they brought paper ones, that looked like they had been purchased from home and bargain. The manager did reduce the bill, but the damage had been done, what should of been a lovely day was spoilt.

Second time I’ve been here and both times the food has been outstanding. The amount of thought and love that has been put in to each dish by the chef shines through with every bite. The Roast Dinner is the best I’ve had and that comes from all four guests which included two kids. Can’t wait to go back already!

Very poor, over priced and disappointing afternoon tea. Total waste of money. It seems that anything left over in the kitchen was given to us. Only 3 tiny sandwiches on a skewer. The rest was Danish pastry, mousse, flapjack, brownie, scone and a few maccarons. Tiny pot of tea. Never had an afternoon tea like it, won't be going back

Met a friend in the 'Pool for brunch and a stroll and landed here mid afternoon. Glorious weather and there was a nice seated area. Friendly young barman, well stocked bar. Sat outside with a couple of bottles, chatting and people watching. Happy days.

Handily situated in the Cavern quarter, this place was suitable for breakfast, and we weren’t disappointed.

Stopped off for a few drinks and ended up staying. Nice outside area to sit and then moved inside , lovely cosy decor, nice cocktails and also ordered the pizza which was delicious. Enjoyed our evening, can't understand why it wasn't more busy. Lovely friendly staff, we will return.

Came across The St Thomas whilst on a recent visit with my wife to Liverpool. Lovely, interesting and very comfortable d'ecor. The staff were great! Very chatty and friendly. The music was very good and the drinks on offer were superb. Will definitely pay another visit on our next trip to Liverpool.

although we all ordered from the bar menu ,the pizza was of a very high standard ,a bit above the average bar snacks we are used to .

Came to use the bar here a couple times before the pandemic hit came with my partner and on our final visit early March 2020 his sister and her fiancé joined us. The staff are really friendly and it’s a nice place to get a quick drink. They do food too but I’ve never eaten here myself.

Had Sunday lunch with friends all I can say is don’t have one all frozen and processed food especially the meat need to get the roast potatoes right they were hard not crispy as we we’re told. Won’t be going again

Estábamos alojados en el hotel (otra historia triste) y comimos allí la noche que llegamos. El domingo, tienes asados. El pollo estaba un poco seco, todo estaba menos caliente. Hay bastantes mesas disponibles, pero nos sentamos al lado de una fiesta familiar muy ruidosa.No tuvimos otra cena en la zona, hay muchos restaurantes cerca, pero desayunamos, que ofrece un menú que incluye "tostadas de abuela". ? ? ?

El restaurante del hotel Sir Thomas perdió su rumbo durante mucho tiempo. .Bueno, hoy fuimos a cenar asado los domingos al sol ????¡Absolutamente delicioso! ! El cóctel de gambas estaba cremoso y delicioso.¡El cordero asado era precioso! ! ! ¡Los puds de yorkshire caseros estaban para morirse y los asados eran perfectos! La salsa era tan sabrosa y los cerdos en mantas eran preciosos. No estábamos muy interesados en las verduras que se ofrecen (queso de coliflor y brócoli), así que las fotos se ven un poco desnudas, ¿lo siento?Los asientos al aire libre bajo el sol eran fabulosos.El servicio fue fabuloso, amable y divertido.Bienvenido de nuevo x

We stayed at the sir Thomas in October 2019, 2 adults 2 children. We checked in mid afternoon very quick service, the room was good just what we needed. The views was excellent.We popped down to the bar before heading out Luke served us, there was an offer on for cocktails we ordered 2 cocktails and Luke went though step by step with us how he made them.We were that impressed with the service we ended up having another 2, which then he showed us some of his flaring tricks!!Very impressive, like the 2nd Tom cruise haha!He did say next time we was back he would do the master cocktail class with us! We had breakfast the next morning which was very good and a good selection Thank you Luke & the sir Thomas for an enjoyable stay.We will be returning!

We held our daughters christening here and had exclusive use to the lounge area... we had around 60 guests 16 being children and we could not have faulted any part of it.. the whole day ran smoothly the food a Sunday lunch was exceptional every single guest couldn’t fault it and it was piping hot.. we thought with being such a large party there would be a few let downs but there truly weren’t and we couldn’t thank the sir Thomas team enough for making are day so special.. would highly recommend and would say it’s one of the best value for money Sunday lunch in Liverpool

We went to the sir Thomas street hotel in Liverpool as part of our day out,there was 27 of us we were welcomed by the staff are food was great and very reasonably priced the decor is lovely,I would recommend it to anyone.

A menudo llamo aquí para el almuerzo del domingo. La comida es de buena calidad, cocinada a la perfección y abundante. El personal es muy atento sin ser intrusivo. Tuve la cena de cordero asado que era hermosa seguido por el merengue de limón y debo decir que fue el mejor merengue de limón que he probado en mi vida. Sin duda recomendaría el restaurante de la calle Sir Thomas, comida encantadora, excelente servicio, ambiente relajado.

Íbamos de camino a nuestro hotel para recoger las maletas y comer algo por ahí antes de partir hacia el aeropuerto. Al pasar por delante de este imponente edificio decidimos entrar. Comida menú típico británico con muy buena presentación, servicio muy amable y profesional. La comida muy rica. Recomendable 100%

Reservé una mesa para 12 y luego tuve que reducir a 7 personas, llamé nuevamente para ordenar esto. El personal de reservas era local y amable, dispuesto a ayudar. Habíamos pagado por adelantado botellas de vino y prosecco para que estuvieran en la mesa cuando llegamos, pero esto no sucedió, así que tuve que solicitarlo. En general, un restaurante encantador, a un precio muy razonable y excelente ubicación. Volveremos sin duda. Gracias

Hoy tuvimos una comida deliciosa el 10/0/19 4. 15 pm. Personal genuinamente amable, atento y feliz en el servicio de mesa que no podría haber hecho más para ayudarnos. También era amigable para los niños, lo cual fue genial: se tomaron el tiempo para conversar con nuestro hijo de 8 años y asegurarse de que estaba disfrutando de su comida, lo cual fue dulce de su parte. Establecimiento moderno y limpio, ubicación absolutamente perfecta. ¡Recomendamos encarecidamente detenerse para comer aquí para que su visita a Liverpool sea increíble!

Fuimos para el almuerzo del domingo domingo 7 de julio de 2019 con la familia. La comida era extremadamente sabrosa presentación caliente era 10 de 10. Nuestra camarera Katie no podría haber hecho lo suficiente para nosotros, sin duda volveremos allí. Me impresionó mucho que recogió el menú del día de navidad.

Had a few drinks early on. Service was nice, very quiet so no real atmosphere, asked for the cocktail menu and told they didnt have one as they were awaiting new ones, then we ordered 2 double bourbons. These were served in 2 tumblers that are 50p in B&M. I know cos I have them at home. Every time I order whisky it is served in a nice heavy crystal (or fake crystal) tumbler in venues in town and elsewhere. So this was very disappointing. We left after. Probably won't return.

Went mother’s day with a big group of about 20 . Service wasn’t great. Half got food while other half waited . No table service for anyone apart from the owners . Which was crap . Seeing as it was Mother’s Day . So if you wanted a drink you had to go wait in a queue at the bar . No sooner did we have dessert , did we have to leave are table for the next sitting . Then we all stood around by the door with are drinks in are hands , coz the was no were to put them . Won’t be going there again . Wot a let down . For all us mother’s who wanted to be spoiled that day !!!

Visited the Sir Thomas Restaurant on Sunday, a large party 22 of us all for Mother’s Day. We all had the best day!! It was so busy & everyone looked to be enjoying themselves. A special mention to the staff Stephen, who couldn’t do enough for us and the Head Chef because the food was amazing. We will all definitely be back, Thank you xxx

"Venga y vea el nuevo Sir T reformado", dijo el letrero de afuera. . . Y así lo hice. Está muy bien reformado y todo limpio y fresco. Pedí un espresso doble y recibí una mirada de la barlady y suspiro. Hizo una faena durante años y luego recibí una taza de café con aproximadamente 8 veces el volumen de café que debería haber. . . . y fue acusado de 4. 90 por ello. La señora que me sirvió dijo: "No sé qué es eso ... doble o quizás cuádruple ... No tomo café" cuando colocó la taza frente a mí. Ahora no debería importar si le gusta o participa de algo para poder servirlo. Conozco bastantes camareras, bartenders en total y no me sirven las gotas diciendo: "No bebo alcohol ... solo Dios sabe lo que tienes allí". Lo que debería haber sido una parada rápida con mi café expreso se convirtió en aproximadamente media hora mientras tomaba lentamente el café muy amargo. No tengo idea de cuántos disparos puso en ella, pero mi cucharita casi podía mantenerse de pie por sí sola en la taza.

Organice un cumpleaños de amigos aquí. El hotel ha sido renovado. El bar y el restaurante son hermosos. El personal es increíble, especialmente Stephen y Tom, que cuidaron a todas las 41 señoras, maravillosamente, la comida era deliciosa y se servía rápidamente.

First time here and food and service lovely.Our table was in direct sunlight and we asked if we could move to another table which was no problem really went out of there way .Food was really delicious and great value for money.Will be back 😊

La experiencia del almuerzo del domingo fue increíblemente mala. Llegó a un saludo que fue como entré en el lugar. Me miraron con la sensación de que estaba en el lugar equivocado. El hombre alto y negro era encantador y nos sentó. Luego se fue y luego tuvimos dos mujeres que tenían rostros como truenos sirviéndonos. La comida fue terrible y el servicio real fue el peor que nunca he experimentado en mis 40 años en esta tierra. El ambiente del personal era tan malo que no podía esperar para irme. Mi consejo sería Saquear a las ancianas y despreocupar a la joven para que se ponga esa cara de "bofetada" y sonriera. Obtenga un personal joven, feliz y dispuesto que no dejará sus platos en su mesa durante 40 minutos. El dinero habla y temo por este lugar en este competitivo mercado. Edificio brillante y encantador interior, pero sorprendentemente no hay ningún gerente que pueda capacitar al personal para un nivel básico de servicio al cliente.

El personal del bate era excelente y no podría haber sido más útil. Tomamos el té de la tarde, que nos pareció bastante normal en comparación con otros lugares en los que habíamos estado para el té de la tarde. No volvería a la calle sir Thomas para comer, pero es el lugar perfecto para tomar una copa. Los cócteles eran encantadores.

Always gone sir thimas for about 17years .. but since new management it amazing again , got its spark back.. thr refurb is beauty clean classy.. food it outstanding .. real homemade food, drinks ate delish .. perfect in every way ...

My girlfriend and I were on a date night in Liverpool this weekend and figured we would drop in to have a few drinks before heading to Miller and Carter for a lovely steak. The bar man with the glasses and cheeky smile made us feel very welcome and served us with a bit of charisma that really made the night for us.

We zijn toevallig in dit restaurant terechtgekomen. Het ziet er netjes en behoorlijk modern uit. Rond het middaguur was het er erg rustig. We hebben een smakelijke lunch gegeten met rijkelijk belegde sandwiches (advocado en mozarella/kip), cola zero en goede koffie. De ober was uitermate vriendelijk, misschien een beetje verlegen. De prijs was iets hoger dan normaal maar dat hadden we ook wel verwacht in een restaurant dat onderdeel uitmaakt van een hotel. Ik lees veel negatieve reviews van de Engelsen zelf (wellicht verwachten zij andere dingen van een restaurant), maar wij Nederlanders waren tevreden.

Visitamos el restaurante buscando un asado el domingo y no estaba tan lleno, dentro de un fin de semana de fiesta, que era lo que queríamos.

I think my title says it all to be honest, the way the manager speaks to customers via email is insulting and when you replay he has the cheek just to ignore your concerns. They are also advertising stuff on their website which is not available, they try and get more money out of you after booking, reported to trading standards for false advertising.

Primera vez en el restaurante ya que las reformas. Por desgracia, mientras que la decoración y el restaurante ha sido reformado hay mucho deficiente. El lugar carece totalmente de ambiente, lo cual es una pena estaba muy tranquilo, pero el personal era escaso y lento. Cuando me paraba en el bar para tomar una bebida cuando llegamos la camarera nos miraran y finalmente me sirve me decía a su colega acerca de algo. Luego comimos con nuestros amigos, nos dijeron que no había ninguna reserva a pesar de que mi amigo llama dos veces. Pedir y 20 minutos más tarde tuvimos que preguntar acerca de nuestras bebidas - claramente que se habían olvidado. Entrantes y terminamos los platos estaban sentados por 20 minutos personal fácilmente desaparecer totalmente desinteresado y nada que ver. Plato principal estaba bien, pero el servicio era muy pobre. No sorprende que el lugar estaba tan tranquilo terrible de servicio y no de ambiente. Nadie en cargos excepto por el gerente eficiente que continúan apareciendo a través de la recepción, pero no tener ningún efecto o impacto.

Hemos frecuentado este lugar durante años y consideramos clientes habituales aquí. No estoy seguro exactamente por qué porque está siempre vacía y carece de cualquier tipo de ambiente. Supongo que ir debido, en realidad siempre se vacía, podemos tener una conversación.

Aparecimos sin reserva y sin problemas. La Copa Mundial de fútbol fue en la gran pantalla, gran lugar para ver con comodidad. Optamos por el asado de cordero, se servía la carne pero no enviar de vuelta como estaba hambriento. La comida era todo fresco, sabroso y de un buen tamaño de la porción. El único inconveniente era carne era un poco demasiado bien hecho para mí y no me gustaría preguntar cómo la carne cocinada. En general, volvería

Booked for bottomless prosecco offer £24.99 limitless for 2 hours ...NOT ..now been told only for 1.5 hours limited to 5 glasses ...trading standards should look into mis-selling of offer ..still on website offering it ..so dont bother im sure better places to go

Estábamos en Liverpool en un viaje de grupo para visitar el Museo del Mundo cuando mi amigo y me encontré con esta brasserie mientras buscábamos un sitio para comer. El personal no podría haber sido más acogedor y atento y la comida era excelente y muy razonable. El lugar ha sido renovado a un alto nivel, incluso la ropa de papel servilletas no estaban y las sillas eran cómodas y el servicio era excelente. Sin duda, volveré a ir allí de nuevo.

Este es un hotel muy agradable con un personal muy servicial. Está bien situado, con un paseo de las principales zonas de compras y muelle de Arthur. La habitación era pequeña pero adecuada. La ducha es un poco estrecho. Pero la ducha era buena y caliente. El desayuno tenía un precio razonable y de buena calidad. En general, excelente relación calidad-precio.

Hija reservó té de la tarde con vino Prosecco. Tardó una hora para enviar secos sándwiches, no sólo salados y media copa de Prosecco - lo peor de todo es que no hay taza de té. Mesa sucia con fiesta ruidosa en la mesa de al lado - Un servicio horrible. El único punto favorable, no nos cobraron!

After recently returning from the Sir Thomas Hotel, I can highly recommend staying here if visiting Liverpool, its very well located and but a short walk to most major attractions, ie cavern club, Albert docks, city centre, Mathew Street it's situated in an ideal location, the hotel itself is very inviting with a newly refurbished bar and restaurant, with the rooms undergoing a refurbishment in early summer, the rooms our group stayed in were clean and comfortable but a little tired, but with the plans mentioned above this will greatly improve this hotel to become a very desirable place to stay.

Mi amigo estaba alojado aquí, así que nos encontramos para una comida en el restaurante. Menú de 3 platos de pascua por £21. 95 por persona. El servicio era excelente. Rápido y amable, pero dado el tiempo suficiente entre cada curso. Entorno agradable y ha sido renovado desde el allí hace como 8 años. Ambiente muy relajante. Lo mejor de todo fue la comida. Gran variedad y muy sabroso y bien presentado. Sin duda recomendaría

Estado en el restaurante de este hotel más de una docena de veces para comer el domingo, pero después de hoy, no volveré. El asado del domingo fue una verdadera decepción. Después de la renovación que pensamos probarlo esperando una buena comida a un precio razonable. Nos decepcionó ver el almuerzo de dos platos había subido a casi 17 libras. Para ser justos, el paté de arranque era excelente, pero el asado fue una gran decepción. La factura era una broma también. Después de ver la factura deshecha en la mesa de al lado que nos registramos nuestra cuenta y también estaba equivocado. Tuve que te lo modifican 3 veces antes de pagar la cantidad correcta. Fue bien antes pero ahora es caro y malo y recomiendo un cheque de su cuenta antes de pagar.

Esta fue mi tercera visita a este restaurante y ha sido genial cada vez! Para una comida de 3 platos que nos costó alrededor de 19. 99. Sirven de 2 por 1 cócteles durante todo el día y están bien vale la pena el dinero....

Tenía un estupendo té aquí con un montón de deliciosos aperitivos. Tarde espléndida con mi hija.

Nos alojamos por 2 noches y el personal era genial, el desayuno estaba muy bien, las habitaciones aunque un poco viejo estaban limpias, buena cama y ducha, recomiendo este lugar para una estancia corta o larga.

Comida estupenda. buena elección, bien preparada y presentada. Excelente ubicación y el personal es amable. Los postres también estaban muy bien. no es muy caro, ni son las bebidas

Hemos estado aquí dos veces con mi pareja para ofertas especiales de almuerzo. Nunca tuve problemas con la comida, bebidas, limpieza, costo o la eficiencia del personal. Ya tengo ganas de volver.

Fuimos hoy aquí con 7 compañeros de trabajo para probar el tiempo de almuerzo menú.

Unos cócteles. . encantador ambiente. . personal amable. . Y los precios son muy razonables. . . En una parte fabulosa si liverpool. . Se puede ir andando a todas partes.

Aunque me pidió reservar una mesa para 3 personas en 2:00 pm el restaurante dijo 1:00 pm sería mejor, pensando que estaban muy ocupados que reservé para 1:00. Cuando llegamos a la 1 había otras 2 mesas en uso. Elegimos la opción regular de té de la tarde y cócteles. ordenados 3 La comida llegó con bastante rapidez, pero fue muy decepcionante. La selección sándwich era queso, huevos y atún, salmón, jamón o no el pan que era hard rock a un lado - Obviamente nos sentamos descubiertos por algún tiempo. Las tartas eran muy decepcionantes, muy básico y un poco cansados, los bollos ya había sido con helado duro y algún tipo de fresa que habían llenado llenado posiblemente el día antes. Los cócteles duró 25 minutos para llegar a pesar 4 personal de molienda alrededor del área de no hacer nada. Preparando una mesa grande para 20 huéspedes por lo sobre parecía un bebé ducha, posiblemente porque no quería llegar a las 2 de la tarde. La gran fiesta fue comenzando a llegar cuando nos fuimos a las 2. 15. En general, una experiencia muy decepcionante. Definitivamente no recomendaría este lugar para tomar el té de la tarde.

We went to Sir Thomas last weekend as part of my hen party and did the cocktail making class and had a three course meal afterwards. Michael who ran the class couldn't of done a better job he made the class fun and interesting, the nibbles were to die for and the amount of cocktail we got to make was definitely good value for money also my friend who is pregnant got to make the cocktails then michael made her a mocktail. The three course meal was also very good for money. I would definitely recommend this place,

Sir Thomas Hotel was in an excellent location, five minutes from Lime Street Station, and 5 minutes from the Cavern and shopping area. Couldn't have asked for friendlier staff, very helpful and professional, excellent customer service. Room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was great value and something for everyone. The bar had a variety of drinks and some really lovely cocktails, and was open until early hours. We only stayed one night, but will definitely return to this hotel, ticked every box for us.

We arrived at the Sir Thomas Hotel after a short walk from Lime street station and very good for all the amenities. We was greeted by a pleasant receptionist at the hotel,our room was excellent on the 1st floor very clean and spacious wee thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay it was well worth the money.

Furnishings are in need of a refurb. Carpets and seats were worn / stained. Maybe because it was the afternoon when we visited for drinks it was more noticeable in the daylight.Staff however are always helpful and friendly!

I booked and had my baby shower here on the 26th Feb 2017. Started ok but food was slow coming out. When the afternoon tea finally arrived one of the guests noticed green fury mould on a particular cake. After checking each platter, there were mouldy cakes on every single tray. Absolutely disgusted, being a chef myself this is totally unacceptable. Also being pregnant this could have made me or any of my guests very ill. There were 24 adults and two children in total, and each platter was meant to serve 5 people. We were only brought out four platters!! Also I had advised them of dietary requirements and these were not fully catered for. My auntie is allergic to gluten, fruit and cucumber and I had to ask twice for something to be made for her. When it was finally brought out, you could tell the bread had just been defrosted in the microwave as it was warm and soggy. But also the contents were coronation chicken which had currents in, meaning she couldn't eat it. It didn't end there either. After waiting for 20 minutes for any tea or coffee and three separate guests asking for this to be brought out, not only was it cold, but no milk was brought out and again we had to request fresh hot drinks and milk. The cups themselves were dirty and a few asked for these to be exchanged for clean ones. Safe to say this absolutely spoilt for me what should have been a very enjoyable occasion with family and friends! We left hungry and completely unsatisfied!

We went for lunch and a drink. The service was good, the staff we helpful. The cocktails were Good, however had to settle for a Chicken Burger as they were out of beef burgers. It was tasty and we had no complaints. It's not cheep, but it's a nice place.

We decided we would like a Sunday roast so we called in to see if we needed to book a table. We didn't need to book so we returned later. Our starter took over half an hour to materialise after asking several times where it was. The chef apologised and offered us a free desert, which we thanked him for but declined as we didn't want a sweet. The couple on the next table arrived 40 minutes after us, had 3 courses and paid and left before we had finished our main. I would hate to think what the service would be like if they were busy.

I went last night (22/12/16) with friends to the STHR for a 3 course meal and an evening of soul music, and the cost of this was £32.95 per head.I have no qualms with the entertainer, but the service from start to finish was very slow and the food was not worth the money that we paid.I had the ham hock to start which was dry and tasteless - I've eaten better tinned ham but the prawn and soup starters were deemed acceptable.For mains, the majority of our party had the 'roast dinner' option whilst I had the risotto. The meals for 7 of our party appeared promptly at the table, then myself and a friend waited for our meal to be served. We waited, and waited, then several minutes after the others had been served, my friend received her meal. So I sat and waited,and waited - having already asked 3 servers for my meal - and waited, then, nearly 10 minutes after everyone had been served, I was given my risotto.......not worth the wait but I ate it as I was hungry! Now dessert - oh me oh my!!! Several in the party ordered the cheese board and I've never seen or tasted anything so disgusting in my life!What appeared on the plate was a very small wedge of brie; a dessert spoon of chutney that took up over a quarter of the plate; cheap Jacobs crackers; 2 grapes and a cheese with some sort of green stuff in it - no it was not Stilton. The cheese was wet, warm and disgusting!! We sent it back and noticed that several people from other tables sent theirs back also. The replacement desserts were adequate but nothing special. Throughout the meal, drinks had been ordered so when the bill arrived, as we had already paid for the meal, this was the only bill that needed to be paid. When the bill did arrive we had been overcharged and a discretionary service charge of over £100 had been added.We informed the server of the mistake and that the service charge would not be paid.So, would I go here again for a meal? No I would not as what was served was disgusting and over priced.

Front desk tremendously cooperative and friendly nothing too much trouble.3 course meal and ticket to see Edwin duke sing all favourite motown songs.. fabulous...33.00 pp..amazing value and food amazing . they had a special liverpool pride larger on made for them by Carlsberg breweries only 2.50pp has a larger drinker it was fab and saved us 50%of normal spends..Room lovely and clean furnished in art decor units as they advertise.. only critique is maybe too many units in room which is a miniscule issue.. cannot find a it to go back

Absolutely horrendous hotel, ignorant staff, terrible food and incompetent service, would not go back and not rate it at all.Went for a birthday treat and was setved purple, lime green and yellow sandwhiches on the one plate of afternoon to serve 3 people, stated unlimited tea/coffee which we jad to ask for as no member of staff came back to our table throughout the visit. Cakes were stale and they had the cheek to ask for £40 for 3 sandwhiches amd 3 cakes. False advertising on their website to. Overall absolute rubbish.

Our cocktail masterclass was made special because of the wonderful Michael. He made our visit fun and enjoyable.

This hotel is really in need of a makeover. We stayed for one night in a room that was very bare and quite depressing. The remote control had no back on it and only half the lights worked. In addition, the cold tap dripped constantly through the night. The breakfast was the worst I've ever tasted and my croissant had a hair on it.Don't think we'll be going back any time soon.

My wife and I booked afternoon tea at this hotel, which is located within the city centre and not far from the Cavern Area, or St Johns Precinct. On arrival we found that we were taking afternoon tea in the bar area and there was just one table set up with a white table cloth and there was nobody else in the bar other than staff and therefore there was a lack of atmosphere. Our server was great and he made sure we were well looked after and even replenished our tea pot half way through. The afternoon tea was OK. The selection of sandwiches on different coloured breads was different, but we found them a little bland and also dry as though they had been made some time. The scones and cake selection were fine. We have had better and all I can say is that given the opportunity I would have rated our experience good; but the rating system only allows Average or Very Good.

We stayed 4-6 Nov. However checked out after 4 hours.Everyone was very friendly but the room,ambience and general appearance were terrible.Polishing a t--d comes to mind.The overall smell was damp and old.Cleared our room as fast as possible and drove 200 miles back home.Sorry everyone,famous Scouse friendliness can't make up for lack of investment in hotel.

We (six adults) came here for a celebratory meal on a Saturday night. Hotel nice and lively. Singer was good. Food was lovely, no complaints. Staff very friendly and couldn't have done more for us. Would deffo come back again.

Having given a great review a few months back it's a shame to review it badly but this is the second time recently the food has been average at best. Gone are the great Yorkshires and nice beef, replaced with average meat and a frozen aunt Bessie.... Thought it might be a one off last time but won't be back in a hurry. The desserts which were obviously home made before have twice been rubbish. Sticky toffee pudding used to be great, frozen microwave job nowThe 2 star is for the staff who are friendly as always :) Shame about the chef. Lost a regular customer

Stayed here whilst attending an event in the city, excellent location 10 min walk to Albert Dock, no on site parking but hotel has deal with nearby NCP multi storey, hotel downstairs looks pretty modern,, but rooms are getting ready for a re-vampAll staff were friendly and helpful, good choice of food at breakfast time, would consider again if I was in Liverpool

Just visited this restaurant (again) and this must be the best value lunch in the City,For £7.95 for 2 courses or £9.95 for 3 courses served until 5.00pm 6 days a week, this is outstanding value for the money,The setting in this restaurant is beautiful, from the moment the "gentleman doorman" escorts you to the restaurant to the warm welcome of the staff when entering, you feel like "I know I am going to enjoy this".We had starters of prawn cocktail & a mimi meze both excellent, then classic fish(haddock) & chips the quality of the meals are a complement to the chefs in the kitchen.I defy that you will not get a better lunch in Liverpool City centre.ps the Sunday lunch is also just as good.Alan & Gwen Moran

Andare a Liverpool per far visita ad un amico che si è trasferito per lavoro si è rivelata un" occasione per scoprire una città per certi versi interessante e piacevole. Dapprima la si associa immancabilmente ai Beatles, e va bene! Infatti non si può" non emozionarsi se si scende a the Cavern un locale underground che ospitò le prime esibizioni dei Fab Four, o si percorre semplicemente Penny Lane, la strada che dette il nome alla celeberrima canzone. Ma per me il capitolo Beatles è stato d"interesse marginale, forse per il fatto che poco ho gradito il mercato che ruota intorno a questa innegabile e fascinosa attrattiva turistica. Mi è parso troppo e per questo lo evitato. Ma Liverpool offre altri motivi di interesse. Intanto devo segnalare che la scelta dell"Hotel Sir Thomas è stata vincente: Ottima posizione centrale e gradevole stile britannico che non guasta se si va in Inghilterra.Raggiungere il nuovo e modernissimo Centro commerciale a piedi, come pure la miriade di ristoranti di tutte le nazionalità è facilissimo. Altro posto di notevole interesse è l'Albert Dock che oggi accoglie gli interessantissimi musei cittadini che andrebbero visitati tutti, per iniziare e poi approfondire la conoscenza di questa città. In particolare quello del Mare e quello sulla Schiavitù. Comodamente in treno si può poi fare una visita alla graziosissima Chester con il suo impianto urbanistico cinquecentesco, o in Bus per raggiungere il mare di Southport, entrambi occasioni che permettono di godere osservandolo, tutto il paesaggio del territorio limitrofo. In conclusione, premesso che viaggiare è sempre bello ed educativo, devo dire che Liverpool scelta per caso come meta, mi ha trasmesso ottime emozioni e mi ha poi lasciato un bellissimo e duraturo ricordo.
