Stanley's Bar & Grill in Liverpool

Having visited here last year & had a great experiance loveley staff food really good,atmosphere relaxing, we came again for a birthday. I have to say it was a let down we should of known as the restraunt was not busy at all which is an alarm bell. We ordered the same as last time burger & one of us had fish&chips, we had to send the bun back as it was burnt! They brought it back burnt again the burger was overcooked charred in fact, we were on a time limit so we could,nt keep sending food back&forth. We asked to see the manager who was very standoffish & insisted they had been grilled he would not listen to me all he did was take the service charge off what an insult! I then went to reception to see if there was a manager I could speak to no one was available they took my details & said someone will be in touch hence I am posting this review as so far no one has contacted me from January! I would advise anyone staying in the titanic hotel to get a taxi into Liverpool as ther are some amazing restraunts well priced good food.

A lovely visit to Stanley’s bar and grill, we had the set three course menu and it was delicious. Couldn’t fault it!

The food was terrible, period. We’d had a great stay at The Titanic for a couple of nights and chose to dine at Stanley’s on one of the evenings. Service was great, no complaints. We initially ordered the 10oz sirloin on the bone. 45 mins later, 6oz thin steaks that had been totally overcooked and then left under the hot lamps turned up… accompanied with honeyed carrots (that looked they’d been napalmed) and anemic green beans. We sent the food back and the service team were very apologetic. We opted for the steak burgers as a replacement and they turned them around quickly. However, they were cheap processed heavy pressed burgers that we partially ate. The quality of the food in Stanley’s in the evening was tragic based on our experience, we’ll never go back. Really disappointing given that the quality of breakfast was great. The service team were great but they are let down by really poor kitchen staff cooking low grade ingredients in the evening.

Lovely afternoon tea especially gluten free afternoon tea. Nice decor, quiet atmosphere, hotel staff very friendly.

Lovely staff.. very attentive without being overwhelming.. food was amazing. Ribs n mash to die for..meat just fell off the bone... very clean and nice atmosphere...well done

Fantastic meal and service for a 40th birthday. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive, we were never without a drink, the food was delicious thank you to the chefs. Lovely experience all in all.

I booked an afternoon tea for my daughters birthday and was very happy with the overall experience, the food was exceptional and they were happy to swap out some of the options to suit. The service was fantastic nothing was too much trouble and the waiter we had was very friendly throughout. Highly recommend.

Late lunch, easy to book online. Parking is easy with a small charge, maybe this should be refunded if eating. Large restaurant but quite cold. Chairs are uncomfortable. We only ordered main course, Hake on vanilla buttered mash with broccoli, perfectly cooked with a nice sized piece of fish, nice addition of king prawns. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Malbec red was well priced.

As we were staying in the Hotel thought we must try the Restaurant. We did book ahead, a must as it does get busy. I had the steak which was cooked - well done for me to perfection. Fries amazing !!! Service from Michael was courteous, and really outstanding, he recommended to ' brandy sauce ' wow.......... Long to return.

We came here after my partner won a gift voucher for a three course meal. We were really impressed with the food and service and the atmosphere was great too. Thank you to our waitress Libby who was really friendly and attentive.

The setting for the restaurant was beautiful lovely lighting and good food. Our server really made the experience, her name was Libby she was personable and honestly fab!

A real surprise. What we ate was just right. The puddings a delight and a cheeseboard to sink a battleship. But the highlight was the service. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left and served by the amazing Libby who was so interested in helping us with choices and dilemmas and whose smile and humour ensured one of our best ever meals, we had a lovely unhurried and smiley dining experience. Thank you.

The food here is gorgeous but the service is absolutely appalling. I’ve visited 3 times over the last 2 years and every single time it’s been the same, you will wait a lifetime for bare basics such as cutlery, drinks & condiments. The staff are always rushing around looking busy but seemingly doing nothing.

Went for a meal there,hotel was lovely and quite busy but it was a Saturday.I had the duck with noodles and Asian greens which was ok,my partner had the 8oz ribeye she said it was very fatty and quite bland and not presented very well.Our desserts were sticky toffee pudding and the lemon cheesecake which were very well presented and yummy,We thought it was over priced for what it was and there are cheaper better options around the corner in the city centre.Service was good and drinks reasonably priced.

Visited after a trip to the spa with friends. Great place and staff were lovely but food could be a little better. Told that dinner included veg and potatoes however just before it was served advised this was not the case. Please just serve full meals. Brownie was tough to chew and tasted more like treacle toffee.

Great food, service is good and cocktails are great. Nice for a special occasion. Also bar staff are good at recommending a rum to try.

Gutted about our visit as the food was actually delicious. Unfortunately we found the service to be very poor which ultimately left a negative feeling overall. We were seated in the corner away from other diners and away from the atmosphere. I'm not sure if this contributed to the reason why we waited so long throughout for any staff to come over. We had 2 x Sunday roast and 2 x afternoon teas. Compared to other eateries of a similar calibre I found the prices to be on the expensive side (£17 for Sunday roast). You also have to pay for the carpark even when dining in the restaurant. We waited that long that in the end we left without ordering dessert.

Went with my partner for lunch before our spa package yesterday. Despite the wonderful food, unfortunately our experience was ruined by poor service. Firstly, I had booked the package as a treat for my partner but unfortunately the entire time the waiter asked my partner questions addressing him as 'sir' and thanking him. Not once did he look at or refer to me which was very rude. Secondly, we waited 40 minutes for our food (not because the food wasn't ready) but because our waiter was hiding behind the bar whilst the chef shouted for service several times. We were 30 minutes late for the spa despite the fact that the titanic had booked our schedule which undoubtedly ate into our spa time. I even had to go up to another waiter to get our check whilst my partner was still eating because we were so late despite us arriving on time. I thought it was a shame how our meal was an unrelaxing start to what was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon.

Came here following spa treatments for afternoon tea. Staff were understanding after we arrived just over 10 mins late from our spa treatments etc. We were seated in a nice little area in the restaurant, it wasn’t too busy either. We were handed some menus and asked if we’d like water for the table. We booked afternoon tea with Prosecco and the Prosecco was brought shortly after we arrived. The Prosecco was served in a little glasses which felt a bit plastic like. Afternoon tea arrived and we had 4 finger sandwiches, 3 cakes and 2 scones each. It didn’t seem like an awful lot for £29pp. Tea and coffee was offered at the end as well. Staff were lovely and the service was great.

Not impressed with the food. Had the rib-eye steak. Steak was mostly gristle. Order is medium rare, but it was extremely chewy had to spit it out chips where over cooked. Informed staff but nothing was done. Not value for money or worth it. Apart from that, Staff where very efficient and polite.

Visiting the restaurant today, I found the quality of food ok but the service is terrible. Firstly watched a chef eating from a plate. The starter was floating in oil. The staff member forgot to put the order for the children through, so we had to eat separately or the adult meals would have been frozen as they come out luke warm. Waited for desert for 25 minutes. But t even an apology was offered. This was a celebration meal for my children that turned out horribly poor. Wish we hadn’t wasted our hard earned money. Won’t be returning

Enjoyed a Lovely Meal here after a Luxury Spa Day with 2 of my Best Friends. Atmosphere was really nice and warm. Food was Exceptional in my opinion. We all got the Spinach & Ricotta Pasta Bake wich is honestly the best Pasta I've "EVER" had to this date. 😋 Can't lie. Not stopped thinking about it since I had it 🤣. Puddings were also really scrumptious. On the other hand it could have been an off day but Service was Very Poor. We waited around 20-25 minutes for drinks for our puddings. Or for anyone to even ask us. Or take plates away. Puddings came wrong and then had to be corrected wich took another 20 minutes. By this time I had already ate mine. Restaurant was not Busy at the time and only had few staff walking around but no one seemed to take notice. Hopefully it was just a bad day but did put me off.

Used the restaurant twice while we stayed. Very tasty food and the price wasn’t to bad for a hotel restaurant. We had the large steak between us which was lovely

We had an absolutely STUNNING meal tonight, the food was so tasty, and the service was amazing. Norbert was our waiter and he couldn’t have gone more above and beyond. Thank you!

Very poor, if was not for my brother staying at the hotel as well I would of had a moan, I will be a little fair to the staff as there did seem to be a very large event on in one half of the hotel, which may have taken a toll on the Grills cooks and waiters. But main points 1) We had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks even thou they were done and sitting on the bar 2) the steaks were dreadful just full of fat not sure if any of us actually ate them, the chips, I've had better from the frozen isles of Tesco. Certainly would not go again, even thou the building is quite spectacular

Dined here 3 times as we were staying at the titanic hotel. Once for dinner, & twice for breakfast. All 3 times, it was incredible, especially the dinner service. It was quick and food was amazing.

Booked a table for lunch through the online booking system. Turned up on time to be told they don't start serving for another 45 minutes - but had my booking on the system. Why do you allow bookings at this time then?? We were directed to the bar and advised we could order food there. Unfortunately the bar tables were too low for my mum. We did not eat or drink so can't comment on the quality although we did think the menu was very small and limited.Went to Tai Pan Chinese restaurant instead which was fab.Sort your booking system out- very disappointing!

We dined here on the first night of our stay at the hotel following a couple of hours in the spa, but were a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. However, we had a very enjoyable meal that exceeded our expectations. I ordered the corned beef hash fritter for starter, which was actually more of a pulled beef type thing than what I would recognise as corned beef, but it was enjoyable all the same with the accompanying pickles and sauce. My wife had the baked camembert which you can't really go wrong with. For mains we went for pasta dishes. I had the creamed linguine with tiger prawns. This was delicious, the prawns, creamy white wine sauce and fennel all worked really well together with the homemade pasta and was one of the most enjoyable pasta dishes I have had for some time. My wife had the red pesto tagliatelle which was a simple dish done well. The desserts let it down a bit and were all similar looking things layered up in the same moulds so a little more imagination wouldn't go amiss in this area. The young bat staff and waitress struggled making and bringing over my Irish coffee so that by the time it arrived the cream was mixed in with the coffee and it didn't look like an Irish coffee at all. A small detail I know but at £7.50 it should be done right. Service was lightening quick, though to be fair we were asked if we wanted a break between courses. We didn't get offered the 'Docker's Menu', I thought this was some kind of fixed price menu but perhaps it is only available if you have booked certain packages? Prices a little higher than what you would pay for similar food elsewhere but this is usually the case with restaurant hotels and it wasn't excessively so. All in all a good meal and we wouldn't hesitate to dine here if staying at the hotel again.

Visited on a. Friday night , starter was supposed to be corn beef fritter - it was basically old beef put together in breadcrumbs , no flavour and horrible ,, Next up - Steak and chips , steak was that tough I count eat it , chips hadn't even been cropped up . looked like they had been sat there a while .. horrible .. I left the whole plate .. mentioned to the waitress when she came to take the full plate of food away - she just said " oh " ! not great service at all ... The venue itself is beautiful and a great atmosphere but the sadly let down by a chef who couldn't care less what they sent out of the kitchen ...

Enjoyed a afternoon tea. 🥂🍺☕🍵🍸🍰🥪🧁Had all you can drink tea and coffee and lovely fresh scones with jam and cream and nice selection of sandwich's And some nice little cakes 😋 just the right amount for 2. Had to take some cakes home in box as could not finish them all. Also had prosecco🥂 and Cocktails🍹. Staff very quick nice and friendly with lovely views of the heritage dock.

Salimos al restaurante en familia y pedimos una variedad de platos. El menú es muy limitado, solo 4 entrantes y de nuevo un plato principal limitado. El bife de costilla era de 28 libras y tenía patatas fritas y un tomate seco y champiñones. La sopa estaba horrible y sin sabor. Nunca volvería a comer, la única razón para no obtener 1 estrella es el camarero profesional Kyle, que se disculpó y cortés por todo lo bien hecho.

Comimos en Stanley's durante nuestra estancia en el Titanic. Tuve el salmón con linguini y mi compañero tenía la hamburguesa. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio era realmente bueno. Vine aquí como parte del acuerdo establecido al reservar un día de spa para el cumpleaños de mi madre.Como era parte del día del spa, pensé que conseguiríamos un sándwich o una sopa. En su lugar, pudimos elegir un menú del domingo que era realmente impresionante e incluía el almuerzo del domingo.Tuve la mejor sopa de cebolla que he probado y el rosbif y Yorkshire fueron increíbles. Las porciones eran enormes, todo el mundo tenía algo diferente en el menú y me encantó todo. El pollo asado en particular y la ensalada Waldorf eran tan buenos!Además de la deliciosa comida que tenía Adam sirviéndonos, que fue muy servicial, amable e hizo que mi madre se sintiera realmente especial en su cumpleaños. Fue más allá del llamado del deber y es un activo para el restaurante.Lo único negativo fue que era 8 por una copa grande de vino. Muy caro, pero el resto de la comida fue de gran valor.Voy a intentar y reservar de nuevo para el Día de la Madre.

Whilst our stay at the Wonderful Titanic we had an evening meal and breakfast here.The Restaurant decor is fabulous perfect duo with hotel theme We had duck spring rolls and Waldorf Salad for starters. Both delicious perfect presentation. Mains we had Fish and Chips and Steak Burger very generous portions beautifully cooked and mouth watering.We had cocktails and drinks wide variety great choices.The Staff were Amazing Friendly and very attentive especially Kyle who looked after us credit to the team.Breakfast was Absolutely Devine too A choice of everything you could wish for help yourself buffet as well as cooked to your desire personally on some sections omelettes pancakes etc all dietary restrictions were made vegan included. There were lots of staff members even though It was very busy we were looked after credit to the whole team ✨ We have definitely be recommending this amazing place and can’t wait to go back again soon thank you

Lovely afternoon tea, and they were very good about changing the menu slightly to suit our preferences. Very nice selection of sandwiches, lovely cakes and scones, plenty of jam and cream :-) , and they kept us well supplied with tea. The only complaint we could have was that we didn't get cake forks, only knives and teaspoons! Otherwise, thank you very much - we really enjoyed it.

Had evening meal at Stanley's, really good service and quality of food first class. Had the fish and chips and presented in restaurant style , and tasted excellent. Wine fine and service from welcome to tab was spot on.

No nos podemos quejar de una cosa que elegimos del menú: la cena de carne asada era para morirse! El servicio también fue increíble, relajado pero profesional al mismo tiempo: Kyle era nuestro camarero y no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros. Sin duda recomendaría un viaje aquí: -)

Stayed at the Titanic Hotel where this restaurant is situated. I can honestly say I had the best steak ever - and that says something when I’ve frequented a very well known established steakhouse who claim to have the best steaks ever. The atmosphere and decor only added to the overall excellent experience as the restaurant is themed around the iconic Titanic ship! Couldn’t fault the attentive waiter service either. My friend and I visited Stanley's Bar at the Titanic Hotel for Afternoon Tea to celebrate our joint birthdays. The location is lovely and very impressive. Staff were friendly. When seated, we were presented with a box of teas to choose from (we were left with the box for a few minutes so we could take our time deciding). I felt this was a nice touch. The cakes and scones in the Afternoon Tea were nice enough and I was happy with the portions.

Me and my partner spent the weekend last November at titanic hotel & booked in one evening for a meal. It was one of the best meals we’d had in a long time, I had true lamb (picture attached),staff were friendly and attentive, the food was top notch and it just was a comfortable overall setting. There was a relaxed vibe which I was worried about given the setting but it was such a great evening.

Me and my partner were apprehensive at first but the food was flavourful and the portion size was decent. Really happy with the quality of the food and the choices for vegetarian/vegans.

After checking in to the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool had a late lunch in Stanley's Bar & Grill. Great food, excellent service and reasonably priced for a hotel of such a high standard.

Yes the food was well presented and very tasty HOWEVER our attentive waiter Kyle made our experience extremely satisfying. Service was timely and nothing we asked for was too much. So lovely and would go again just for the welcoming service!

Had a quick lunch here while staying at the titanic hotel where this is situated, wasn’t extremely hungry so only had a bowl of plum tomato and pesto soup and triple cooked chips and then the deconstructed Eton mess with micro basil, just theses themselves were lush and could of eaten them again twice over.

Following great reviews and our love for Steak, Stanley’s was a must. Great steak, great service, got it right. A must visit, simple yet great.

1. Location. This is in the Titanic hotel. It is a bit out of town. A 5 pound cab ride to the centre.

We had a night at The Titanic Hotel for the Father in Law's Birthday and ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night. The food and service were excellent. In particular, our waiter for the evening, Adam, was exceptional. A lovely gentleman who looked after us with great care and a friendly smile. He made the Father in Law feel very special when he presented him with a complimentary dessert with a Happy Birthday wish in chocolate! Thank you!

We were hotel guests so opted to eat here on our 1st night. We opted for 28 day aged sirloin cooked rare. Voth steaks were tough as leather and we couldn't even chew the meat. For £28, this is shocking and a massive disappointment. We asked the waiter to ask the chef to try the meat. He returned to say the chef wasn't in a good mood and couldnt repeat his reply! Really? What is it with chefs now!

Definitely recommend this as somewhere to eat. The service is fantastic, our waiter was called Kyle and he could t have done anymore for us. Going as far as to find out the name of the famous (not to us) person sitting nearby!

Four of us visited restaurant on Mothers Day. Whilst the meal was enjoyable the service needs sharpening up and staff need more training.

There’s a lot going for this spectacularly presented hotel, not least the stunning architecture, superb design and location - being on the waterfront.

Afternoon tea was served on dirty very dusty, food stained stand, the jam, cream and butter was also served in dirty food stained dishes ....to top it off nearly choked on a chicken bone in my sandwich.... Duty Manager was informed, we were offered a fresh afternoon tea or afternoon tea to take away (having just travelled all the way from North Wales) they wouldn't offer a refund as it wasnt their policy and the operations manager had refused anything other than a "takeaway" or fresh afternoon tea....especially as afternoon tea had been purchased by way of a gift voucher (therein is the lesson DO NOT buy a gift voucher) ..given how filthy everything was when it was served, eating anything served there wasn't even an option! The duty manager was exceptionally rude to my Mum, she was so upset she had to get up and leave!! It was extremely unhygienic and dirty, needless to say we left, with no afternoon tea, and a totally ruined afternoon! gutted!

Me and my husband stayed at the Titanic hotel last night and booked in for a meal in at the restaurant. Once seated we were greeted with a friendly waiter named Kyle who recommended a lovely gin for me to try, he was also very helpful with giving advice on what to choose from the menu! We had a three course meal - all courses were presented perfectly and tasted amazing! We had a lovely evening with nice food and great service!

My daughter treated her mum to an afternoon tea at the Titanic Hotel today and after travelling all the way from North Wales looking forward to a lovely afternoon, it was a disgrace and disastrous visit! The tea arrived on a wooden shelves box! As the sun shone through onto the box it was covered in dust and left over food from the previous diner! My daughter had a coronation chicken sandwich and choked on a chicken bone! After complaining the duty manager arrived and upon explaining she said we could box your cakes and you can take them home! Afternoon tea was supposed to be in the Titanic not back home! The manager was very unsympathetic and not interested! My wife was that upset she walked out,outside we rang the environmental health who told us the will investigate in the nex 7 days and get back to us! I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone,the food was shocking and the staffs attitude stunk! Do not go there!!!!!

Thank you so much to the staff at Stanley's bar we had the best evening for my mum's birthday. We had a lovely table and the food and atmosphere was perfect. Special mentions to John our waiter and Lisa on reception for going out of their ways to make our night special. John knew everything on the menu and gave us great advice on choosing our dishes. Thank you again we will be back soon!!!!
