The Richmond Tavern in Liverpool

Went to the pub on a busy lunchtime, got served quickly, staff checked for allergies as they took the order and the food was great. Jane who served me was really helpful and as soon as I’d finished came to check everything had been ok and took away used plates.

I called in for some light lunch and a couple of drinks whilst doing my shopping on Saturday, 13/4/24. They had a wellness event going on. It was interesting looking at the different stalls and gifts available. I sat down and looked through the food and drink menus. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I thought I'd eat healthy and ordered a chicken and bacon salad. It was delicious and no wait at all. I always enjoy visiting the Richmond tavern. Always a great atmosphere serving good affordable food and drink.

I’m not sure where to start here. I’m usual never stuck for words. Earlier today whilst walking with a friend. We came across this place… a gem amounts the rough. We order some, what tasted like fresh caught that morning, 2x classic sea bass fillet with all the trimmings. I need to say I’ve been to many gastronomic eateries around our plant. ‘I was blown away by this dish.’ Also a massive thanks to Dan & Steve.. who I’m sure were trained in a Royal household. Outstanding service.

Met a few old friends there for a catch up , we had afternoon set menu really good value for money and very nice,wait time wasn’t too long , good selection of cask ale which was a good pint ,will definitely be back sometime soon

We visited Saturday evening with my partner. It seemed quite busy. We sat down and viewed the menu and ordered at the bar. I ordered a cheese burger and mixed grill. The food arrived in no time and delicious as ever. The Richmond tavern has a great atmosphere, good value for food, and the friendly staff. Keep up the good work.

We left most of our meals x chips veg and pepper sauce were cold x been here before with no problems x don't think we will eat there again x

After a stressful day and far from home, we followed a recommendation and stopped here for dinner - glad we did. Just what was needed, the place was warm, the staff pleasant and the food, which was good, arrived quickly. Not much more to add to be honest. Good local pub.

A bit pricey, and choice of on-tap beers not great, but it's a nice atmosphere and well located - I always pop in for a pint after going shopping.

My partner and I visited the Richmond tavern in Wavertree on the 29/02/2024 for evening meals. Lynn and Heather were so helpful in introducing us to the Ember app. We were able to order delicious main meals of gammon and chips and haddock and chips. The restaurant was busy, and we were advised of a short wait. But that didn't disappoint us. The meals arrived and were hot and tasty. We even received 33% discount off our main meals with downloading the ember app. You receive loyalty stamps every time you visit, too. Awesome. Keep up the good work, folks. We'll be back soon.

Lovely pub, honestly, such a nice atmosphere. I went out with my friends for a nice meal and a couple of drinks, and the food was great, not to mention the service was 10/10. All our needs were met, there was a great atmosphere, and the staff were lovely. One member of staff that really stuck out was a lovely young woman called Georgia, who was super friendly and welcoming upon arrival. As for the pub itself, it was very clean and presentable. as were the additional facilities, such as toilets and outside areas. I would 100% reccomend for any sort of occasion.

Had a wonderful night at the pub on Friday, atmosphere was welcoming and warm. To my surprise they had a live band performing at the back of the pub, staff where attentive and courteous. Nothing was to much trouble for them as they explained the procedure for ordering, all in all a great night in great company Will definitely return,would recommend to anyone

Called in on a sunday evening for a few drinks with friends 5 of us we had 3 rounds of drinks average £15 to £20 pr round the last round we got was 10.20 almost as soon as we put the drinks on the table one of the staff told us to drink up as they were closing then the manager came over and told us it was company policy to close at 10.30 on Sunday so we had to rush our drinks which spoiled the evening this was my local and I have been going there from the first day it opened for food and drinks we've supported this local through the good and bad times

We visit the Richmond 2 or 3 times a week. It is a great pub but when the weather is cold the place is freezing. There are 3 fires but even if they are switched on they are only coal effect. We have been going here since it opened in the late 90s.Please, please can you get some proper heating in.

Attended the breakfast with Santa with my girls. The food was lovely and Santa was really good. The grinch was our favourite. Thank you for a lovely morning. Lovely staff, food and atmosphere will definitely be back again ❤️

We went for breakfast with Santa the place is tired and the food served was cold the coffee which we made ourselves from water cylinder was far from hot the breakfast came out very quickly and was not hot at all the bacon tasted far from bacon as had a barbecued meaty flavour. We did not eat the breakfast and reported it to the manager who offered to cook us fresh ones ,we declined no offer of a refund was offered so we opted for another breakfast ,it came out hotter but same taste hence didn't finish it that said the morning was well organised tables were set up for guests and tables taking turns to see Santa who took his time with our granddaughter. Had the food been fresh hot and tasty it would have been a good value event. Just add the staff were pleasant and attentive .

Tonight was quite disappointing. We had booked for a family Christmas meal with nine of us. While the starters were okay, when the mains arrived, only half of our group received their food. When the food was delivered it was very cold, After bringing this to the staff's attention, they reheated the mains but were still cold and poorly cooked. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish our mains due to the poor quality. Surprisingly, our side dish, ordered over an hour and 30 minutes prior to the starters, arrived late. Despite the staff's attempts to be helpful and offer a refund, the overall food quality and service fell below our usual expectations, especially considering it wasn't busy, and there were plenty of staff available.

Booked for Xmas lunch 3pm, received call it had been dbl booked several weeks later, understand these things happen no problem, received the deposit for the 14 persons(family) to late to book anywhere else, we have had Xmas dinner every year at the Richmond large family but understood these things happen, I telephoned last wk to book a table again for 14 People for 31 December my birthday, was told to call in leave the £20 deposit, and book a table, I came today, along with my husband, we had a three course meal, SIX times I approached the bar to book a table, was fobbed off every time by the same woman, I tried to book when I arrived, I tried to book between the three courses and also at the end of our meal, was told she didn't know how to book us in, was told the manager was at the end of the bar, was told the manager would come speak to us at the table, was then told the sixth time manager AGAIN unavailable and had gone upstairs, AGAIN you've missed out on a very large booking, maybe the problem lies with staff training, comes to something when after nearly two hours not one member of staff has the knowledge to book a table, this has allways been a local pub, myself and family use on a weekly basis no more last time I would set foot in this pub, more like a circus, disgusting treatment

Genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Allerton. Such a warm atmosphere as soon as your enter and you can tell the managers and staff really love the place too. I have been a few times now but this time was exceptionally good! Would highly recommend:)

Tables were all sticky from previous dinners meals were just ok asked for dessert with custard told had none and hadn't for few weeks given menu states with custard could you not buy locally from asda 2 minute walk

Visited for the 1st time after seeing an offer for 40% off mains. If you are also on O2 you get a free drink after 5pm and a one off 2-4-1 offee on drinks between 5.50-7.30pm on a Thursday. Lovely dog and family friendly pub, all decorated for halloween festivities. Opted for the posh fish and chips and a sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. Just delicious! With the offer, the food came in under £20 for the 2 of us. Notices they have etheme nights too, so will be going back to experience one of their Jazz nights.

Went there this weekend. It's funny, because I went to school around the corner. I passed the Richmond every day but this was the first time I ever went inside. Lovely atmosphere. Fine service, nice staff and the food was good. An excellent pub and memorable weekend for us.

Ordered the 'supposedly' Posh Finger sandwich...chips cold so sent them back. Why would you serve cold chip's as there gonna be going back..It took another 15mins to get our meal back. Our fishfingers had gone cold and the bread soggy😯 they didn't give us fresh 🐠 fingers or even bother to keep them hot while cooking fresh chips...no more to be said except we'll give it a miss in the future. Come on chef get a grip. Take a look at the Fish finger butties at M&S café and then maybe you can call them Posh 👎

Party of five adults and four children. Waited one hour and 10 mins for our food from placing order. Steak was burnt so had to send it back. Manager was not bothered about wait. Also they forgot to bring the children's starters until after we all had our main meals and we had to ask for starters. Would not recommend this pub.

Amazed that they got rid of all those lovely real ales they used to have. It's lager or lager I'm afraid.

Not sure if there has been a change of management/staff but the service was terrible, got the order wrong and didn't manage the situation very well, always had a pleasant experience in the richmond but will not be going back anytime soon

Hi my friends and I go for are lunch there , a lovely lady called Jane who server's us nothing is too much trouble for her she is very friendly and professional we think it's great.

Food not that good, ordered calamari and it was tasteless . Staff are great though and they have a lovely dog watering station.

Recently become a regular after work, for a quick drink. Staff are brilliant, especially Keith!! They have bingo and quiz nights, which are fun. Food is nice and served quickly! Brilliant atmosphere, its a nice to u wind.

We came for Mother’s Day and my daughters birthday. Table of 9, good table location, excellent service, attentive staff, cleared the table quickly between starter and main course.
