The Welkin in Liverpool

I loved the lunch set, portion is big and very tasty

Cozy restaurant with plenty of space, and where you can also sit upstairs with nice cozy corners and seats. There is an extensive menu choice and extremely friendly service. Things work a little differently here than in Holland. Here you order at the bar, after you have provided your table number, your menu and drinks... and then you wait at your table until it is brought. We ate here twice in the 4 days we stayed in Liverpool. Super. And not too expensive 😊

I like the food very much, but I would like apples in fresh fruits, in the breakfast menu, cuted in cubes, thank you!

Nice location, plenty space inside. Was able to sit for a while and charge my phone before a flight.

Typical "Spoons". Decent bar prices, half decent food at good prices and the usual Spoons clientele.

Great spoons in central Liverpool

Not wheelchair friendly, not enough room between tables to get a wheelchair through. Food OK but nothing special. Staff friendly and helpful.

Just your good old wetherspoons, you get what you expect. It was busy but we managed to get a table. We had to ask a member of staff to clean it for us but they were happy to help. The food and drinks were ordered on the app and all came within a good amount of time.

Like all wetherspoons you get a good drink and food at a good price.

Weird bald guy kept staring at me the entire time I was in there.

Didn't eat anything here, was a Wednesday afternoon, service second to none, the guy serving us couldn't do enough, one of our drinks wasn't behind the bar went of & found the last 2 bottles in the building, brilliant. Spoonies owners should really value there staff, they make the business, maintain there 50% discounts.

Me and my friend had a lil stop off here for a pitcher each whilst on a day trip to Liverpool, lovely service, drinks were great too 🖤 We had purple rain (my fave) & the monster & vodka 🖤

Not bad place but table had not been cleared of dishes from previous occupants and after like 45 minutes we had to call a waitress to clear table so quite poor on cleaning up

Good service, good prices and nice restaurant with clean toilets. I had a British breakfast... It was not the biggest ever but enough to be not hungry for a few hours with a good price and good service. I will come back next time when I visit Liverpool

A decent Wetherspoons in a great location. The Welkin is worth the visit, with access from the front and rear, it's very convenient. Toilets are upstairs, there is 1 disabled toilet on the ground floor which you need a key for. Recommended.

Always great value in a wetherspoons. I had a curry, which was spot on .

Liverpool's finest Wetherspoons..

Standard 'spoons as regards food & drink. Decent quality & good service. Can't comment on upstairs but ground floor seemed a bit soulless.

Ehh it was fine. Took us a while to be served (not rush hour whatsoever) and the jacked potato was inedible. My curry, on the other hand, was fairly tasty — and the place was clean (which is not something I can say about every other spoon we’ve been to). Conveniently located just near everything as well

The best thing about Wetherspoon's are the deals and cheaper drinks. The service when you order from the app is also pretty good - sometimes a bit too quick! The food is unfortunately lacking, at least in this branch. We came for dinner and a drink in the evening which was okay - an 8 inch pizza (average) and a chicken strip burger (not bad) and chips (nice but barely warm). The best part was getting a pint each incorporated into the price, making the food portion fairly cheap. We decided to come for breakfast the next morning after checking out the options and were sadly quite disappointed. We both had the freedom breakfast which looks good on the menu, and even on the plate, but lacked in quality. The hash browns were forgotten at first but quickly brought out afterwards when pointed out, the breakfasts came out so fast and it was clear that nothing is freshly prepared. The bacon was inedible to me as it was so old and tough, and there was shell in my egg which is an absolute pet hate for me. To top it all off, the food was barely warm again. On the plus side, drinks delivering again, you can get unlimited refills on tea/coffee/hot chocolate (from a machine) for around £1.50. I usually choose Wetherspoon's for a cheaper option but found that the prices have gone up considerably but the standard hasn't, so unfortunately don't think I'll be back in a hurry.

Came in on Tuesday afternoon for a late lunch after work was served by the lovely Jordan who was very friendly and helpful when taking my order.. on a Tuesday they have ‘the steak club deal’ on which includes a drink I opted for this!.. I’m glad I did the steak was cooked perfect to my liking.. 👌.. visited other places but this was really well cooked..great customer service, great value for money too I’ll be back again!

Wetherspoons has no atmosphere, but their food and drinks offers are great. Had a great dinner tonight and a good night last night.

Nice place slightly out of the way. A little bit smaller than a lot of the WS pubs with less choice of drinks and food. However, the decor was nice and we didn't stick to the tables. Staff members were kind and polite.

Disappointed, my son had a problem with what he got. I took it to the staff. And all I got told was that's how it comes, can't exchange or refund or do anything. I won't go there again.

Christmas Eve, part of our City experience, being country boys...

This isn't my usual Wetherspoons in the city centre, but I had an enjoyable drink here with family recently. I received prompt, friendly service from Grace at the bar when placing my order

Shame about having 1 bar staff on we got there at 1pm lunchtime and 1 member of staff on the bar, waited for 15 mins to be served, next round tried to order on the app still waited 15 mins for the drinks to arrive. Food came out in no time. Just a shame the place is let down by the 1 overwork girl on the bar running back an too on her own.

The dirtiest Weatherspoons lve ever been to. Second visit, and hoped it would have been a one-off. But No..... Needs to be addressed by Weatherspoons,especially as its on route to a major tourist venue.

Ordered 2 large breakfasts. Food arrived quickly with missing items which we then has to go back to the bar to ask for. Food was cold on arrival to table. It has obviously been reheated because the hash browns were rubbery and the mushroom was inedible. Bacon was fatty and undercooked. Toast was barely cooked and also cold. Disgusting. Never again!

Excellent food at really good prices. The only problem is that it can get so busy, even midweek, that it can be hard to find a table.

Gets very busy at times but staff work very hard. Great service every time I've been in which I really appreciate.

Nice and clean got served quick

I love this place! We visit Liverpool for some xmas shopping at the end of November every year, and not much shopping is done 😉😉 and end up at The Welkin after a quick run around Primark. The Welkin has great food, service, drinks and atmosphere, what more would you want.

Typical Wetherspoons,ran really well..

Food everywhere, dirty dishes on every table, food on the floor, as usual, cut the staffing to save money so there's not enough staff to keep up the standards. Hate Witherspoon's.
