Este es un magnífico pub Wetherspoon que está en una zona animada del centro de la ciudad y es un pub que vale la pena visitar si estás por esta zona del centro de la ciudad. Great place to visit and quality service and beer

A generally cheap place to both eat and drink, though this can lead to the place being rather packed at most times of the day.

Good pub, clean, friendly staff and fast service

Good selection of ales and beer. In this pub the prices are very reasonable. A massive choice of food as well. Its a good pub to have chat. No loud music.

En una noche amargamente fría mi hermano gemelo y yo pasamos por el Richard John Blackler Pub, hemos estado aquí antes en tantas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Este es el establecimiento más antiguo Wetherspoon pub en Liverpool, el interior es magnífico, un bar de servicio de estilo isla domina la sala principal, tiene su decoración y mobiliario típico Wetherspoon, fotos de Liverpool antiguo adornando las paredes y hay un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior y cuando el tiempo es bueno fuera mirando a las calles comerciales ocupadas y bulliciosas alrededor de este pub, es solo un pub muy bueno para relajarse. Por suerte logramos conseguir una mesa de alcoba, pedimos una pizza cada uno y como parte del trato de comida teníamos derecho a una bebida, elegimos botellas de Birra Moretti, estas se servían en excelentes condiciones siendo heladas frías y espumosas, nos refrescábamos y calentábamos mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Un gran fan de esta cerveza italiana, una cerveza crujiente, estilo lager de lúpulo, cuando esta cerveza se sirve helada como en este pub es una cerveza totalmente deliciosa, mientras bebes nuestras cervezas nuestra pizza ha llegado y qué placer. La pizza era enorme, una corteza fina, una cobertura más que generosa, bellamente sazonada y servida caliente humeante, junto con nuestras deliciosas cervezas hechas para una gran experiencia gastronómica en un maravilloso pub Wetherspoon. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestra pizza y cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cada otra visita a The Richard John Blackler Pub tuvimos un tiempo memorable. It's not good practice to cough and sneeze into your hand then serve drinks without washing them. I think she's was the manager. She did this a number of times.

Just your standard spoons pub, basic cheap food that tastes ok. Toilets can be dirty. However, they have also been clean, depending on the amount of traffic passing through at the time

Had Christmas lunch, which was awful, turkey salty processed, veg tasteless. I know most of Wetherspoons meals are ready made and are usually not to bad for the price often better than expected. But Christmas meal was really bad quality.

Very good Christmas dinner with generous helping of turkey, promptly served at our table (using the Weatherspoon app). We were in a bit of a hurry to catch our train from Liverpool Lime Street station, and this worked out very well as a pre-travel meal option.

The gentlemans toilets urinals two off were overflowing, I spoke to the manager twice, tall thin guy, but he never oganised them to be cleared, I really don't appreciate standing in other people's piss, I was in this wetherspoons franchise from 5oc till 9.30oc and I do believe that if the environmental health viewed these toilets then I'm sure the kitchens need a visit to, I had a lovely double burger with a few chips which thank god I wasn't that hungry but it was acceptable. I would just like to point out that this franchise Richard John Blackler could raise their standards a bit more .... Thank you for the rant.

Very friendly staff in the morning then returned to find new staff with attitudes and entitlement Staff being rude to customers from behind the bar while we watched in disgust. Staff were shouting across the bar whilst the manager was discussing a disagreement, customers asked to leave despite the bar staff instigating and aggravating the situation instead of deescalating. One of the bar staff thought he was still at a pride event flicking his hair with his arm bent like he had a bag on it with an enormous sense of entitlement along with his female friend who had a mouth on her that surgeon couldn’t close. (With difficulty)We visited another bar after and met the customers who were asked to leave from this establishment and they were lovely and quite upset on how they were treated by the bar staff and the manager. We will return to the Richard Blackler but hopefully these staff won’t be on duty otherwise we will chose another bar. A similar review from Catherine Macauley 4 months ago describing members of staff having toxic attitude to customers.

Giving a 1star only because it's the only way to leave a review, quite frankly 1 star is way too much. I ordered 2 American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. I originally though they had forgot the bacon until I lifted one of the pancakes, to find 2 miniscule slithers of bacon, seriously tiny! When I questioned this with staff I was told you only ordered a small portion! Correct I did only order a small portion of pancakes however, the bacon that came out with it was quite frankly an insult!!!! The staff didn't appear to be bothered or get my point that I was dissatisfied about portion size and duisgusted that 2 tiny pieces of bacon the size of child's plasters! I was refunded, but I think this is the final straw of me eating at JD Wetherspoons. You get what you pay for and it's never the best but you jeep giving way but not this time...shocking!

Mi padre termina y fui a desayunar el domingo por la mañana. El personal de una chica llamada Zoe era tan grosero. A very big pub right in the centre of Liverpool and at the smarter end of the Wetherspoons chain. Remarkable value for money for both food and a big range of drinks. Excellent service as well. Suggest that you give it a try.

Was served by a girl with tattoos on her arms who was very abrupt and charged me normal price on a Tuesday when it should have been Steak Club price didn't get her name just think she finished her shift at 5pm on 5 November 2024, because of her I won't be visiting this wetherspoons again.

Sunday night 3rd November, great staff, polite and friendly with good food. Today, Monday 4th - Customer service from the blonde head woman / ponytail very miserable and rude; wouldn’t explain the promotional offers to me; asked second person. Much better. Overall would come back.

Bit disappointed with beans, they tasted bland and cheap everything else was spot on what you expect from a well run city centre pub.

This was a poor breakfast effort today. The egg was scrambled instead of fried as advertised. They could have put a sign up to say something like “to eke out our supply of eggs, we will be serving half as much cold scrambled eggs as you paid for. Yours cynically, TM.”

Place is booming 24/7 haha, a proper pub, full of people from all walks of life, seen people falling asleep drunk to girls dressed up like models, funny place.

Compared to other spoons, it's a very good one . I like the atmosphere and it's always busy. Whenever I'm around baker Street, that place is a must have.

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos esperando que nuestro autobús nos llevara al aeropuerto John Lennon para tomar un vuelo a Portugal para una semana de vacaciones, tuvimos tiempo para matar, así que nos dejamos caer en el Richard John Blackler Pub, hemos estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita. Un gran pub Wetherspoon, el interior es magnífico, decoración típica de Wetherspoon y muebles, un llamativo bar de servicio, gran decoración y muebles y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, es solo un pub muy bueno para relajarse. Conseguimos botellas de Birra Moretti, estas finas cervezas italianas fueron servidas en excelentes condiciones siendo heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub Wetherspoon. Esta cerveza es soberbia, es una cerveza estilo lager dorada, ligeramente malteada, una lager bien equilibrada , tan sabrosa sobre todo cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub. GREAT LOCATION Pub is that close to bus stop that you can literally step out from the bar & step into the bus. As usual environment is very nice. I enjoyed having a pint of beer over there.

Vi var på the Richard John Blackler i Manchester den 19/9 och besökte Richard John Blackler i Liverpool den 20/9, borden var kladdiga och personalen hann inte med. Ingen log och den äldre kvinnan bakom disken i hästsvans och glasögon var otrevligt och snäste. Maten gick inte att jämföra med det vi fick kvällen innan i Manchester. Vi fick ej heller samma erbjudande utan kunde bara få vin medan i Manchester fick vi drinkar som ingick, riktigt dålig service, gå ej hit!!!! Jag beställde Scania och fick scami som var fiskpanetter såå low budget

Llevo años aquí un domingo por la noche con 3 amigos. Durante las últimas 4 o 5 semanas cuando entramos se han quedado sin cervezas. Este domingo pedí 2 pintas de Worthington Bitter y 2 Carlsberg (después de una espera de 10 minutos, y no estaba muy ocupado) el camarero tomó dinero para bebidas, luego procedió a servir los amargos y luego dijo que el Carlsberg se había agotado. Dame 2 pintas de Carling ¡Siento que se haya agotado también! En este momento los 2 bebedores Amargos ya estaban cenando sus pintas. terminamos con 2 pintas de luz Bud que ni siquiera me gusta. Como dije, esto está sucediendo cada semana. También los baños Gents son una desgracia sin rollo de inodoro en ninguno de ellos.

Good spot. Always enjoy having a pint and on occasions food a well. I dislike being given a pint at 2345 and then being told your out by twelve. But it it a good spot.

This used to be a great pub but now the place is a dive, plates and glasses piled up on all the tables, hardly any staff and no one seems to care. Such a shame

i totally get that its sunday morning and you have a busy brekkie but a little "hi enjoy your food" when serving a plate would be nice instead of "here is your food go choke on it".

Food not as good now. No gluten free food what so ever costing them a loss of trade. So easy to have things like jacket potatoes with tuna & salad or cheese. All Gluten FREE PRODUCTS The Company have lost the plot.

Big pub this one, busy on the weekends, good service and as always cant wrong with weatherspoons, cheap food and beverages. Also i think this one has more choice for food than the other restaurant have. 3 small plate menu was big and had loads of choices i haven’t seen before.

Lo-o-o-ong wait at the bar. There's no sort of queuing system. I love the Villa Maria blush Sauvignon though.

Food was ok ordered a breakfast it come out with scrambled egg when fried egg was ordered and they never mentioned it before food was brought out they overall staff were great atmosphere was good only downside is people off the street begging for money while sat at the table

Pub in an excellent location, large, there is always space available. Great menu with wide choice.

We're from out of town, and walked in to have some dinner and drinks. No one greeted us to explain how everything works, that you seat yourself and order at the bar, etc. The only free table had wet stains from the previous customer. A girl came by to clear the dishes off a nearby table and wipe it down, but ignored us. After some time, we were able to get someone's attention to clean our table, too. I ordered Tandoori chicken kebabs, and the chicken was very dry and overcooked, I could barely get the chicken off the wooden skewers. My husband had a chicken sandwich and side salad. The sandwich had just lettuce and tomato, no mayonnaise or sauce of any kind, and the salad didn't appear to have dressing either, or was barely perceptible. The drinks (beer and wine) were good, and sold for a very reasonable price, which may explain why it was so crowded. So I recommend this place for drinks, but not for food.

First time in this wetherspoons been Liverpool numerous times but never been in here worth a visit will go in again next Liverpool trip 😊

It's a weatherspoons. No atmosphere but drinks roughly half the price. In the current climate it's a shame more aren't charging these reasonable prices.

Orded a pint of leff asked for no head the drink came and was about an inch lower down the glass I asked if I could have a full pint as the glasses are a pint to the rim the lady was non helpful telling me its what I get as no head on beer then went and asked someone and was told to fill up really bad attitude you thought I'd asked her for a kidney lol but the larger was nice it clearly say on the glass ( pint to the brim )

A good wethers , can get very busy at times but good place for a catch up with mates. Great selection of real ales.

I realise the pub was busy last night and that was why the service was slow but there's no excuse not to cook the burgers fresh. The patties were dried out and you could tell that they had been precooked and warmed up before being sent out. Which is a shame because the food is usually good.

Light and airy pub of the chain. Can get very busy.

I ordered fried halloumi cheese, it was rubbery. Some of it is burnt, the rest is completely white. When you chew it, you can HEAR how it creaks to your teeth and there is so much salt that you can’t feel the cheese itself Just cheese and rubber. Also, one of the drinks was not brought right away. We only received it when we specifically asked at the checkout and demanded to check the receipt.When I asked questions about what happened to the cheese, they told me that it was as it should be and I couldn’t replace anything. This cheese should be soft and slightly stretchy, not springy. Also, when we received our drinks, the employee picked his nose in the process, there are some questions about how normal this is in their establishment. We liked it here the first time, but now even the cozy interior and freely available sauces are not an advantage. This is without mentioning that our pizza was not cut, and the soda ended up with a different taste. Also, the cheese was brought just piled on top of each other. Although we liked the shrimp. There were also no cocktails.

A very busy day when we visited, so the slower service can be excused. Vacated tables were cleared quickly by the floor staff though, who were extremely busy. A great choice of cask ales were available too, as you'd normally come to expect in a Wetherspoon pub. The toilets are located on the same level too, which is a pleasant surprise if you're used to Wetherspoon pubs and the usual arduous trek up or down stairs.

What a dump. First thing to see when we walked in was a huge pile of vomit. Seemed to be the meeting place for every hen and stag party that day. Some customers looked drugged out of their faces. I would have felt more comfortable in the Star Wars cantina.

Worst food ive been given in my life got a America burger on menu says cook fresh .got it look like it had been sat around for a good week then reheated..I didn't even try to eat it .I just walked of in BIG disappointed. STAY CLEAR OF THE FOOD IN THIS PLACE.

Been here loads of times but no more.Stood at bar for 5 minutes and people coming after me were being served first.Then barmaid asked who was next so put my hand up and said me,she looked at me and did see me then totally ignored me and served someone who again came in after me.Her excuse was they were short staffed but that doesn't explain ignoring me.This is now the end of me going to Wetherspoons as I've had problems in others in Liverpool in the past.

Appalling, went into place, to use toilet as have prostate cancer, bought a coffee so as not to be rude, machine 1 broken, moved to machine 2, my refill cup was removed and was told by impolite staff that I hadn't paid, so asked to leave rudely, looked up online to see it has many negative reviews about rat infestations and brawls among drunken customers, bad 👎 review I'm afraid, as I live here and think the staff involved portray Liverpool very badly,
