Didn't even know these existed until recently. Really cheap price wise. Good service from staff. Large selection. I went for a cheese toasties, as I wanted something light. I wasn't disappointed. Really cheesey taste, bread was soft; and at £3.25 its not bad value for eating in. Definitely worth seeking out

The staff at the Accrington store ( especially the 3 idiots(is what they called themselves todayFriday). Went above and beyond today, when they didn't have a feenchstick sandwich left with sweet chilli chicken, they offered to make one for me from baking the stick to filling it and it was really good. All the staff are polite work well together and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Thank you very much

Staff are disgusting and don't have any patience levels. They don't keep the food in order according to the name boards. Especially a old woman there with zero patience levels making huff on the customers face. Better you give up your job old lady. Many youngsters are much awaited for the opportunities.

A group of us visited this cafe for brunch, on a day trip. It was our second visit as we had been previously and were returning as we had enjoyed it on our last visit. The staff were so welcoming and rearranged the tables for us so we could all sit together. We all opted for the breakfast and a cup of tea which was great value as well as being delicious. Zoe, our waitress, was just lovely and made sure we all had everything we needed and also suggested that we may enjoy the drink and cake later on in the day before we returned home. We did go back and Zoe was right, the cake and coffee was just what we needed after a busy day!

Bought some cakes from here today, was going to buy some bits of the hot counter too but the lady behind the counter had a face of stone and was glaring at us the whole time , maybe a bad day who knows but wasn’t a very nice welcoming compared to other shops we’ve been in so far in Liverpool. Overall the cakes are nice just a pity the customer service wasn’t too good!

Member of staff who greeted me seemed to have a bad attitude when ordering food . Member of staffwho brought my food out was nice and explained why it was taking longer because understandably it has to be cooked thoroughly .

Awful little hovel of a place. Big mark up on the same pasties that are served in the much cleaner Pound Bakery next door... perhaps you are paying for the privilege of watching them sitting going cold on the counter while your tasteless chips are incinerated? Queuing time can be measured in geological epochs. Staff don't know how to work the till or, it seems, that you should clean their hands after rubbing their runny noses. Perfectly polite queries about mistakes made in pricing are met with aggressive snarls and having your food hurled at you.

One of the staff members, after giving me a rather huffy, "What?!" told me it was Boris's fault the pasties were this expensive. After thinking about it, I don't actually agree. It's no longer 2 for £1, you only get one, and while the single pasty is around 1.5 times the size, it's at £1.35 (price increase of 85%? something like that). It's basically twice what it used to be and much closer to Greggs's prices. Nothing else except petrol and electricity are going nuts in this country. The reason for this, is the lack of competition, not Boris. I have vouchers somewhere, as compensation for there being chicken in my cheese and onion pasties, but I won't be using them, until this corporate greed ceases. For £1.35 you can make a dozen cheese and onion pasties at home.

Called in ordered and waited over 15 minutes for bacon baps? Coffee was poor quality and tasteless. Had to clean the table , why don’t you provide enough staff to allow hygiene levels to be maintained?? , would the MD find it acceptable if he was the customer - think NOT!! When the baps arrived and the tea and coffee was cold, NO napkins ?? Ok we give up what do you want your customers who “make pay days possible” to do ??? Don’t waste your time go to a company that sees you as a “ customer as important and provides the service and product that should go with it” !!! Keep your money in your pocket!!!

Myself and my wife just fancied and breakfast so we popped in to the pound cafe st johns precinct in liverpool the worst breakfast i have had the sausages taste like MDF boards the egg was like a puck you use for ice hockey the hash brown was the smallest i have ever had and it was burnt and dry the beans weren't all that hot the only decent thing wad the bacon and the cup of tea and most of the tables had not be cleaned will not be visting again. By the way shouldn't this cafe have toilets

Staff in Huyton pound bakery are extremely rude one of them in particular doesn’t smile doesn’t say hello or goodbye please or thank you just plain rude

Lovely pies , pasties, sausage rolls , with a lot of choices of fillings . Very good selection of cakes. Prices are the best of all, more reasonable than anywhere else.

It's a pound bakery, has what a pound baker has, except for hot chocolate, next door pound cafe will have it, but they close earlier and don't open too early in the morning.

Pretty basic shop not very big and could be improved easily. Otherwise not a bad range of snacks and sandwiches at a reasonable price.

My granddaughter and myself wanted something to eat and drink, there is a huge menu board on the wall I ordered a tuna toastie to be told there wasn’t any left 😞 I asked the girl what is there she said cheese toastie or ham egg and chips i opted for the ham egg and chips.. my granddaughter got the last cake . 20 minutes later out it came hard eggs 2 slices of the cheapest ham frozen chips with eyes in them 😠 I asked for tomato sauce they had none left only brown sauce that’ll do I said , guess what ? I never got it and I never ate any of it. Anyway you cannot run a cafe with no food , the tables were filthy and they were still letting people in the place is shocking please AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

Visited with my 2 children as my baby needed feeding and my oldest was also hungry. The only free tables were dirty ones, not one person cleaning tables - not covid friendly!! Ordered and found a table which i had to clean myself as i was not allowing my child to sit in germs and filth. Nuggets took 20 minutes !! And when they arrived i would not of fed them to a dog. The staff were not following guidelines and there was people stealing drinks from the fridge and none of them even knew. Will not return they need to be taught on cleaning during a pandemic!!

Unfortunately the last time we visited the Pound Bakery it was not a good experience. Whenever we go to Liverpool we usually come here for breakfast. The breakfasts are good and of a reasonably good quality and very inexpensive. We has no issues with the food the problem sadly was due to the staff. As usual they were busy but on that day it was more so as they were short staffed. This would not have been a problem as we would could understand them being busy and having to wait. What we could not understand was the fact that they brought our food out without any cutlery. Usually the Cutlery would be out and you collect it yourselves but they didn't seem to have any. We asked 3 different staff members 6 times for forks. Not only did they not care but they were rude and completely unhelpful. We asked politely and did not shout but they just did not want to know. Forks arrived eventually when they were thrown at us. By this time our food was cold. Made an online complaint but have yet to receive a reply.

You get what you expect which is generous portions at a very low price. Not five star, but a solid three star at the cheapest price in Liverpool. Very high cleanliness at 5* witha greta bunch of typical scouser staff!

Can be a bit off putting when it's busy,and sometimes the staff could be a more friendly,but if your on a budget or with a couple of kids this is the place for a cheap breakfast or lunch ,the cheese on toast is a best seller and at £1ago is excellent value.

Queue forever, the sausage on my barm turned out to be half a sausage and they only butter half of the bread roll. And they are still 'changing banking partners' so still cash only.

Estuve en el recinto con familiares y amigos para almorzar y 5 de nosotros comimos y tomamos café por poco más de 12 años, ¡no puedo discutir! Got the breakfast deal which is any 5 items with toast and a hot drink for £3 which is very very cheap! Order at the bar and are served food not drinks. Food was amazing even though the service wasn’t the friendliest

Came in for a breakfast and baguette whilst shopping with my daughter and took forever to get served. The girl who was taking the orders was taking forever. When we got into the queue there was 3 people before us but took us 20 minutes actually place our order. After that was done it was down to get a seat.... well no available tables unless we wanted a dirty one. Sat amongst empty cups and waited for the food. My full English arrived. It wasn’t so bad for £3 with a coffee but the plate was horrible. It was so rough and every time I used my fork on it, the noise went through me. Would I come here again ..... no

The Cheese on Toast is Super Ace and the straight coffee's are OK ...... don't bother with the cappuccino as they are like frothy plastic.

Discovered this cafe on a short break to Liverpool. Great value we sat outside and it could have been even cheaper if we'd known it was so much cheaper to have a takeway.e.g 2 sausage rolls for £1 instead of 1 for £1 to sit in pastries were a similar deal. Coffee was really good . Just one toilet .

Como cliente habitual de la panadería y cafetería, me decepcionó que en una visita, cuando compré un desayuno, una taza de té y un zumo, pregunté si podía beber un poco de agua para disolver mi medicamento y me rechazaron incluso cuando Les mostré mis medicamentos en la bolsita con las instrucciones. Pregunté por qué y me dijeron que comprara agua si la quería y que dejara de intentar obtener una bebida gratis. ! Les mostré lo que acababa de comprar en vano. Me he quejado a HQ que también me ignoró. Nunca volveré a visitar como resultado

Cheap sausage. Where else do you get 4 items for £1, or if you think like me, that's £10 for 40 sausages, and I think that's probably the most filling meal I could find in the city centre for only £10.

Looks like their amazing mince pies (voted best in the UK) are staying around cos they sure are the best I've ever had.

The pound cafe at st John's centre Liverpool is excellent value for money, especially if your on a tight budget. The coffee ☕ is superb and beats anything Starbucks can do and all for £1.00

It's true. The Pound Bakery has just won the best mince pie award in the whole of the UK. Surprising ...... well not really as they have a 100 year old recipe and man is it the best mince pie we have ever tasted (not like one of those mass produced supermarket ones). These here are super tasty and 4 for a pound.
