Shocking food Chicken terrible, Curry as thick as custard. Beef like rubber. Chips like toe nails. The rice wasn't bad.

I've been going here for more years than I care to say, (I'm in my 60s). I've moved away from the area recently but upon re-visiting Liverpool I thought, for nostalgia reasons I would try my old favourite chippy. What the hell happened?!? The food is now awful. I only had chips, meat pie, curry sauce and spring rolls and they can't even do that well anymore. This chippy was amazing back in the day. Now it's a shadow of its former self. I'm disappointed and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save your money, go elsewhere.

Half the normal portion size of Singapore vermicelli. New staff so possibly changing hands. Sorry but if there are new owners, not the start you would hope for. Will probably avoid in future which is sad because I've been coming here for many years 😞

Food of late needs a vast improvement. Specifically, the Chinese/Cantonese dishes are poor quality, taste and too pricy. Regular staples have gone sown hill as well, curry etc.

Wow I feel like I have just been robbed!!!!! £11.70 for 2 boiled rice an 3 cartons of curry,,,,no wonder the place was empty,,I will never set foot in the place again,,,absolutely disgusting that £11.70,,,yous need to sort your prices out,,I could of got a special curry an a portion of prawn toast if I had put 50p to that £11.70 going off there menu,,, won't be going again

I love K-Tams, been going here for almost 11 years. Food is delicious, staff are so lovely and friendly, they get to know all of their customers, and after 5.30pm the place is always packed with customers. I love you K-Tams, never change 🥰 oh and I they're priced at the competitive rate with other chippies across Liverpool 👍

I ordered a large curry and rice and it cost me £5.40! I normally pay less than £4 at my local chippy for the same meal but thought I would try Tams for a change - sorry I did! On the price board, its states £3.80 for curry, rice and chips, so I thought I would be paying around this price - also a main meal (beef curry with rice) was £6.80 on the board so I could have paid just over a pound extra for a main meal - crazy! I checked with the assistant if she was sure that price was correct and she spoke to another member of staff and she confirmed the price. If she had not already taken my money, I would have walked out. When I got it home it was really dry with hardly any curry on it, plus the curry tasted weird, so basically I paid £5.40 for a portion of boiled rice. I'm fuming and I will never return to this chippy and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

RIP OFF DO NIT GO If I could give 0 star I would. Two curry and chips for £6.20 and poor service from old Chinese woman who " put extra " (didn't seem to be extra but actually less) curry for 40 pence, she didn't tell me it was chargeable and dropped some chips as she put them out. She was rude and asked me if I was tired but I was in shock because of the price. The chips were nice.

I ordered a small onion, gravy and chips. The cartons interior was 4 inches X 6 inches. The carton was flat (as in not mounded with food). Cost £2.30.....At least Dick Turpin wore a mask. Prices and portion sizes vary with whoever serves you. Not giving this chippy another chance.

Salt and pepper chips lovely, 3 meat chow mein horrible, never had a meal from a chippy with cucumber in it and the meat was in big chunks and chewy.

Got 2 fish and a portion of chips the fish was full of grease the chips were cold I was charged ten pound eighty when I checked there price list I was well overcharged I have been ringing the shop but no answer will never go back there again .

I asked for a pie well done, server said what are you thanking me for i have'nt give you the pie yet😁

Curry rice n chips with a savoury cake on top, what better can you ask for for an occasional treat on a cold winter night.

Don't attempt to place a phone order because it just rings out. Took my custom elsewhere after trying for over half hour.

I ordered crispy duck, it was crispy, burnt to a crisp, inedible, also ordered salt and pepper sui mi, like rubber disgusting, only thing edible was the sausage chips and gravy, not cheap either at £18 never again 😡

It's a rip off (especially when Lin is serving). She allways over charges or leaves something off the order! The meals are nice, tastey but small portions, and they do not offer special fried rice, only k tam special which is not a specials dish. The curry is very nice and the three meat beef is worth try. Anything but TSOS.

K Tams is our regular family kitchen takeaway. Staff are very friendly. My son favourite is their salt and pepper chips.

Always liked this chippy but on good Friday they charged my husband £16.50 for 2 fish and chips and curry. Total rip off.

We have been using this chip shop for years.All the food is freshly cooked and delicious. Their chips are tasty and cooked to perfection. The ladies who work there are lovely. I would definitely recommend.

Phone orders and delivery are available, top notch food with excellent service. Salt and pepper box meal was lovely. Fish is really fresh too. Really nice chippy, I would recommend to anyone.

THE BEST CHIP SHOP IN LIVERPOOL

Went here to try after a disappointing meal at Tso`s down the road. The staff are much friendlier, smile and ask your order when you arrive - so you don't have to wait ages before even placing your order. Food is plentiful and has a good taste - would recommend.

A large menu of traditional Chinese dishes, including the formidable munchie box, a real feast. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Does deliveries.

We go here every Friday for our meal. We have tried a number of chippies in the West Derby/Norris Green area and K Tams is the best. The chips are the crispiest and also soggy at the same time. They aren't dripping in oil either. There is much choice so you can't go wrong.

We used this chippy when we lived in the area, the takeaway Chinese food, was great, there fish and chips also very good.

This place is always busy and the staff are friendly and efficient , however, I feel that the food is over rated. They boast awards for their food but I wonder how long ago they got them. Average or better than most in the are but would rather travel a bit further and get better quality. Sorry K Tams. lovely people , great service, average food.

Best Chippy in the North West and i've visited plenty.If its fish and chips your after or a quality Chinese meal you will not be disapointed.Great food always busy due to the quality but the Staff always look after the customers and give a warm friendly welcome if you have visited once or a hundred times.

One of the nicest chippys in area. Their salt and pepper chips are my favourite, worth a visit.Service can be a little slow as it is a popular place and they get a lot of large telephone orders. But worth the wait for the freshly cooked food.

Food is lovely. However the service can be a bit hit and miss. Don't like seeing one of the staff licking her finger whist picking up the paper to wrap chips. This only one member but enough to put you off
