I mean, some people came in and ate my crisps which I had left mildly unattended, which wasn't ideal, but I WAS responsible for spilling a beer so that was on me. Besides that, the place was surprisingly nice and the staff were most pleasant. FYI there is no pavement to get there. Hey, don't shoot the messenger. UPDATE: All of the above is still relevant, in particular the thing about there not being a pavement for what can only be called 'pedestrians'. Now, the purpose of my update is a distinct downward trend over the last couple of years, culminating in an evening of disappointment and malnutrition. I want to single out certain members of staff for what social services would easily define as neglect but actually the clear reason is a lack of competition. There isn't a dreadful amount open during the week for dinner and this place has not only rested on its laurels as a result, wait, that's my only point. As it hurtles towards a future of the head chef bring the microwave, I hope everyone will rise up and just not come back. Also, bring your own mayonnaise.

Great hidden garden and filling portions, great atmosphere, and friendly faces, bartender knew what was good and very gave great recommendations. Had amazing Mexican food and great tacos 🌮 lots of vegan and gluten-free options and served at the table by the chef.

He comido aquí muchas veces con la familia. Y cada vez que nos encontramos NUNCA nos ha decepcionado la comida es siempre hermosa. caliente. y rentable. Visitamos el Domingo de Pascua estaba ocupado y el personal trabajó muy duro. Especialmente cuando una familia (en la mesa detrás de nosotros) dejó la mesa en un estado completo y absoluto nunca vio nada como eso antes de que se limpiara a fondo en poco tiempo. First visit to pub, although my husband had been quite sometime ago. I was very impressed, we love going out and regularly visit several pubs in the area, this will certainly now be firmly on our revisit list. Staff really welcoming, atmosphere with a lovely low buzz. Chef knows what he is doing, food was delicious, and not overpriced. If like me you have never been go on treat yourself. Thank you John and the team.

Our favourite place to visit for coffee and food on the beach….but today we find a coffee machine installed for the rear takeaway producing a totally different coffee experience - really not good. Hopefully this will not be the same inside going forward as it really is nothing like the coffee we’ve had over the last few years…we will just go inside and get a takeaway I guess as we love this place but disappointed today ☹️

I come every week for snooker and it has good Quality tables and good food the people behind the bar are nice and overall a good place to go

The rooms were basic, but the price was also basic so we were really happy with what we got for the price - clean and comfortable for sure.

Nando’s food is always good however the service we received from a lovely young lady called Shay made it amazing. Every Nando’s needs a Shay!!!!!

We were a table of 12 with a late afternoon booking on a Sunday. We did book in advance and were placed in a quiet part of the pub away from the main bar area. This was great as the children could be themselves and we were not going to disrupt other guests. We were told upon booking that, due to the large table number, we may not be able to have our food served at the same time and that there may be a slight delay for other dishes. This honestly was appreciated so we knew exactly what to expect and in reality I think everyone had their meals within 3-4 minutes which was a fantastic response. The bar staff were great, very helpful and friendly and full of smiles. Similarly for the serving staff who were attentive to our needs but not overbearing either. The price of the children’s desserts and the serving sizes were incredible value for money, I think we paid £1.29 for a two scoop ice cream sundae which all the children devoured. In actual fact, the whole menu was very favourably placed and very good value for money. My only criticism would be of the beef chilli as there was a disproportionately small amount of chilli to the amount of rice served however the flavour of the chilli was great - there just needed to be more of it to enjoy! Overall, a fantastic meal enjoyed by children ages 2 to adults aged over 80. We all had lovely food at great value and were served brilliantly by Lucy, Tom, Scott and Izzy. Thank you all.
