Excellent food and amazing service. We have been eating at the Fire Stables over the past 30 years and are particularly impressed with the current chef. Service is always friendly with great staff and service.

Dev was an excellent waiter, provided great service with a smile! 10/10 and would recommend. Food was incredible, the pork was outstanding

Business team post training social. Great customer service. Admittedly it was a Monday night and not very busy. The food was very tasty. Plenty of choices for drinks. Yeisha was great in regards to information and booking. Her prompt replies and experience was polite and courteous. We would book here again.

Great place, friendly staff. Huge Sunday roasts. Only criticism the beef was tough and the gravy tasteless. Now the gravy makes a roast for me. Nice vegetables. Loin of pork would make a nice change too on menus instead of pork belly.

A little out of my way, but this is still my local that feels like an extension of home. The staff are fantastic, always chatty, welcoming and bend over backwards for you. Anita, Sav, Lucy, Dev, Gus, Dan, Jose, Aisha, Ye to name but a few. The food I’ve had here over the years is great quality also.

The Sunday Roast was gorgeous. I tried the fish Schnitzel with samphire, very tasty

Had a late lunch in the Firestables. Food was very good, it was warm inside and fire was on, and the fish finger sandwich and the chicken BLT sandwich were top notch. Service from Yiesha was great with everything being prompt and a very friendly approach.

Hi, a couple of friends and myself came in for a drink at the fire stables, just before Christmas and I've kept meaning to post a review, what a wonderful pub and lovely atmosphere it was. Not having been before, we were pleased we did. It's now our go to pub in the village to meet up.. we are all over 50 and the atmosphere suits us well, friendly staff and so comfortable too. We plan on coming along soon to try out the February set menu as it looks very nice indeed and with myself following a vegan diet, I was overjoyed there is so much choice. Cant review the food at present, as we've only had drinks so far.

Awful brunch and experience. - Don't bother and go somewhere else. We went there for brunch with our baby as we knew it would be quiet. The waitress was off putting from the get go, tall, dark hair, thick accent, scowl on her face, tattoos. I asked if it was possible for them to boil a few vegetables for my baby, some carrots and brocolli and she said in a very aggressive and argumentative way "No it's against policy" before I even finished asking. I had to leave and go buy him a pouch. Then we get the food which was SUB PAR to say the least, cheap tasteless produce, every single item tasted awful, and to top it off they serve MARGARINE instead of butter. When I asked the waitress why they don't do butter she said in a very aggressive and argumentative way "Well we have a lot of vegan dishes" hmm ok, but my meal is clearly not vegan. It's clearly cost cutting across all the food, a stupid choice when the competition is so huge in Wimbledon Village. We will never return to have food or drink there again.

A mixed review with great food, reasonable price and a great venue. However when we arrived we were just stood at the door for ages before the waiter shrugged and said "sit anywhere", he was insanely morbid throughout and we got sick of waiting to order desert and left. Apart from that the place could be a really good date spot.

We were delighted by their dog-friendly atmosphere; the staff even treated my pup to some roast beef. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

Food was good but the service was terrible. We were there for lunch on Xmas Eve and I think they didn’t have enough staff. One of the starters never showed but by the time we got someone’s attention, we’d all finished our food. They never apologised. We had to ask for everything twice (water (for the table) and each time it was a pain trying to flag anyone down. No one came to clear our plates or replace cutlery without us asking. It was a shame as the food was good.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday there and it was absolutely beautiful; the decor, atmosphere and the food were just perfect. We will definitely come back again.

I guess they only had 1 person taking orders and serving so had to knock them a little food was excellent though had the haddock and chips

Went to the Fire Stables for the first time last night. Outstanding service - refreshing in the current day. Attentive, welcoming and knowledgeable. Good food, good atmosphere- would highly recommend and will be going back.

Our first ever Sunday roast dinner did not disappoint. After our tour of Wimbledon, hitting Fire Stables was a great choice to fill our bellies with wonderful, well cooked roast of chicken, beef and pork. The staff were very welcoming as we arrived a bit early than our reservation time and sat us right away. The atmosphere was really nice and cozy, even with the crying children at the table next to us. I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone and we will be looking for a place near us in the US that does a Sunday roast. Cheers

We recently organised a Christmas Social at the Fire Stables with 30 guests. Our event planner was Yiesha who took us through from our very first enquiry right through the event for which she was present. We felt very looked after and reassured given her experience and insightful recommendations. She was happy to accommodate different dietary requirements and tweaking of our drinks and sharing platter offer. Everyone had an amazing night. We would definitely recommend the Fire Stables.

Hosted 10 friends for pre-X’mas drinks and snacks. The service was fantastic even though they were really busy dealing with multiple large groups. The food was really good - much better than expected for party food. The chicken sliders were more the size of full burgers and the sausage rolls were really scrumptious. Highly recommend the venue.

Very welcoming , attentive and friendly service and food all very good and much better than last visit a year or two ago . Pie stuffed with meat and the best sticky toffee pudding ever too. Good to have a really enjoyable meal rather than the all too frequent average one

The Sunday roast was delicious! The platter for 2 could have served up to 4 people! The meat fell off the bone and the sides were perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere and the kids enjoyed it as well.

Very good "pub grub". Prawn starter, roast beef main, crumble finish. New server was excellent, and very nice vibe.

We held an event for 40+ people here on a Saturday evening and the venue and service was amazing! Big thanks to Yiesha and her team for helping us with the organisation and food/drink orders. The food was lovely and the team on the ground, particularly Sav, were just so helpful making sure the space looked great and we had everything we needed. Would recommend!

We went for a Sunday lunch and were surprised at how great it was. Very generous portions with excellent meat, veg and gravy - potatoes weren't the best unfortunately. It's a nice atmosphere, busy without being too noisy. Service was mostly good, although sometimes took a while for people to come round. Probably a 4.5/5 rather than a 5, but good roasts in London can be very hard to find so we enjoyed it

Came in for lunch a few days ago and we were served by Yiesha. The food was lovely and Yiesha made sure we were happy the whole time, great service from her !! Will definitely be coming back

I think this is a beautiful venue in Wimbledon Village, and for that reason, chose to host a really important work dinner here. It was an event I was a little apprehensive about, with a discerning group of guests numbering nearly 20. The team here went above and beyond for us though, ensuring we were sat in a great spot and all together on one long table. The service was spot on and the food was delicious. Everyone had an excellent time. Thank you again to the entire team who supported me before and during this dinner. I'd highly recommend this venue not just for my usual purposes (a chilled out Friday afternoon drink), but also for a large group event. Absolutely awesome :)

Food and service were very good. Redesigned menu was great. Dev served us and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He checked about plant based dishes with the chef and the chef then marked up a menu for us to show not only what was vegan, but what could be adapted. Really nice touch. Looking forward to returning.

We used to eat here quite regularly in the past but hasn’t been in the last 4 years. I forgot what a cosy little place it is, and the food is still as good as I remembered - can’t ask for more ! I’d highly recommend this place.

Overall a great lunch (lovely food) and we will return. The reason for the 4 stars regarding service was because we had our 3 and 1/2 year old son with us and the amount of time to take orders and be served seemed slightly long especially considering it wasn't very busy.

Very good to fit us in without a booking. Lovely cosy atmosphere. Good service. Food was very good except the vegetarian wellington which looked, cut and tasted like a tough sausage. No horseradish sauce brought despite two requests.

Availability (for 11, at less than one week's notice) and ease of booking were excellent. Staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. Food was delicious (the single and sharing roasts were amazing!). Our dog was made to feel welcome and easily settled, despite the busy lunchtime.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Food excellent and a good selection in all courses. But they should have had draft bitter on tap. The type font on the menus and wine list could be bigger. Quite hard to read. But overall a good experience.

The food was good and I always like the atmosphere in this cozy place. However, the experience was sullied by the silliness of table allocation in a 90% empty restaurant - very, very annoying.

Popped in for a light dinner with my son. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and promptly sat down despite not having booked. The waiters got my son some colouring with me having to ask which was kind. My son had a burger which he gave top marks! I had a few starters and the grilled prawns were fab. Overall - perfect atmosphere, excellent food and friendly team. Recommended!

Kids friendly place for a Sunday roast and the Service was good and quick. My beef roast disappoint , although veg are perfectly cooked and the Yorkshire pudding tasty, I only had 2 slices of beef thinner than ham slice ! In comparison the kids had bigger meat portion.
