Excellent in all respects. Staff and service efficient, helpful and obliging. Food absolutely delicious and premises clean, bright and welcoming. Will Certainly return.

Service was adequate. We were staying in the hotel, and we just wanted a simple dinner. I ordered a tagliatelle with mushrooms, spinach, Parmesan crisp, crème fraiche, and basil oil. The dish arrived hot, with a few mushrooms and a little shaved Parmesan. Underseasoned and ZERO spinach. I pointed out lack of green anything, and I was told it was “specks mixed in, not a pile of greens.” There were not. Yet no apology, no redo, nothing apart from “sign the bill please.”

Not great value for money I had purchased a Wowcher deal for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. The staff were very polite however ...Wowcher did not advise in the fine print there was a supplement for certain dishes and the coupon itself didn’t have any notification that there is an additional charge for certain meals included in the coupon, nor did the staff make this clear.. There is a supplement for the scallops, lamb shanks, steaks and cheese board. So if you choose not to order these dishes and not to pay the supplement, you will be left with a very poor choice on the menu, I’m afraid. As a result, as I was not aware of the supplement, I had to pay the extra £30 on top of the fee I had already paid for purchasing the voucher (£60). I spoke to the manager about this but he insisted that the information about the supplement is on the voucher (which it isn't) and we were told about it by the staff. All in all, a very disappointing experience and certainly not value for money. It kind of spoiled our day, which was a real shame as it was my boyfriend’s birthday. We have had much, much better elsewhere. I would not personally recommend, sorry!

Eight of us had a fabulous prosecco afternoon and Sushima and Tamnoy were attentive, friendly and efficient. They ensured that we had everything we needed and they have a lovely manner. The sandwiches and cakes were all freshly made and we had a really enjoyable time. Good selection of teas and coffees and a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. Altogether a wonderful experience thank you!

I had purchased a Groupon deal for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. The food and service were exceptional however ... Groupon did not advise in the fine print there was a supplement for certain dishes. I have no problem with supplements but I would like to be aware of them up front. There is a supplement for the scallops, lamb shanks, steaks and cheese board. Secondly one of the party was not drinking and we asked for the bottle of wine to be swapped for 2 cocktails - one alcoholic and the other non alcoholic. We were told this could not be done. Both had to be non alcoholic!!!!! Figure that one out??? We did ask repeatedly why it could not be done but did not really receive an answer. As a result we did not order anything over and above and this establishment missed out on some more revenue.

Fantastic afternoon tea which was an absolute bargain through Groupon. The staff were attentive and nothing too much trouble including takeaway box for the cakes we couldn’t finish! Warm scones with lashings of jam and cream, great selection of cakes and sandwiches, all in generous portion. Upgraded us from Prosecco to champagne and a good selection of teas. Tasteful restaurant which was surprisingly quiet considering the standard.

Went with friends for a very enjoyable catch-up lunch. Reasonable menu choices are fairly priced for the location, friendly, polite service, and when we went (Friday lunchtime) quite quiet. Worth thinking about for a quality lunch in the west end away from the crowds.

It was a fantastic afternoon at Reform Social and Grill -- absolutely amazing food, very relaxing and comfortable place, such great hospitality! Excellent and friendly service, very helpful. Delicious food - never before I have eaten such an exquisite blackcurrant sorbet - wow, what a treat! Top class! Thank you soooo much!

This is the one place, that is must. The staff; Anshull, Mainul and not forgetting Daniyel are second to none. For offering a first clas service and nothing is too much, for any of them. If the food was poor ( which it's not ) These staff make up for it. The last time we were their; we booked our next vist for when visting London ( even though, it was a distance to where we are staying ).The food is fantastic and the drinks, are serverd super fast. Superb service and food. We had afternoon tea. The first thing to say is that the staff we absolutely superb. The decor was lovely and the afternoon tea was excellent.

My partner ordered the fillet steak rare but the waitress said “we don’t serve it rare for health reasons, we serve it medium, it will still be pink.” The steak was served and it was a light colour in the very middle, it was not pink so it was very dry. Which was why a mushroom sauce was provided on the side even though my partner had asked for no sauce. When another waiter cleared our dishes he asked how our food was. My partner answered “I am surprised that you don’t serve your steak rare”. To which the waiter said we do serve rare and there was an awkward exchange of looks between the waitress and waiter. There were only 3 tables of diners as it was lunch time. We were not asked if we wanted any further drinks when we had finished our first one and my partner was disappointed with his steak. The rest of our food was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful so unfortunately we have marked it down as a 3 out of 5

My wife and I booked a bottomless prosecco afternoon tea as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations, but we were left feeling very disappointed. The interior and decor of the place itself is average, not salubrious like some reviews have mentioned, so our first impression wasn't great. However, the staff were very attentive and polite and we were shown to our table. Unfortunately, we were close to a young couple, who's toddler would not stop screaming (I get it, as a parent, it's not their fault, they couldn't help it and were trying their best to keep her quiet). However, there was also some sort of raucous party going on in a private room next door. I can only guess at a hen party as they were screaming more loudly than the toddler! Consequently, we asked to move as far away as possible! Staff were accommodating and we selected a different table. Due to the size of the venue, this was not far away enough away and we were still continually bothered by the screaming and shouting! We mentioned on the telephone when booking that we would need to change one of the sandwich fillings due to allergies staff were more than happy to do this. The service was polite throughout but the food let it down. Not a huge selection of sandwiches and cakes and all were on the small side. Furthermore, the prosecco wasn't actually prosecco! It was a sparkling French wine of some sort, but not prosecco. Again, we were not impressed as my wife drinks prosecco but is not keen on any other wine or champagne, which is one of the reasons we booked the prosecco afternoon tea! Consequently, she managed one glass and could not drink any more. I pointed this out but was told this was all they had to offer us in the way of "prosecco". All in all, a very disappointing experience and certainly not value for money. It put a bit of a taint on our day, which was a real shame as it was our anniversary. We have had much, much better elsewhere. I would not personally recommend, sorry!

We had a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea here. The service was wonderful, as was the food. When our tea came, the maitre d' questionned why we had no Cornation Chicken sandwiches. No idea why, but he replaced the plate and the Coronation Chicken was definitely delicious! Lovely light scones, proper clotted cream and gorgoeus cakes. This restaurant is slightly off the beaten track albeit only 5 minutes from Bond Street Underground so it doesn’t attract much passing trade. As such it was very quiet on a Sunday evening. Some might describe the interior as classic looking, others might think drab. The service was a throw back to bygone days with the servers smart and attentive to your needs. Thought the food was good with some dishes better than others but all were generous portions. The house white wine was poor. For what we paid on the groupon deal, this was excellent value and would come again. However paying their a la carte prices, I’m sure there are better restaurants with a better atmosphere nearby

We went here for afternoon tea via a groupon voucher. For what we paid for afternoon tea for two it was well worth it. We don’t drink so substituted the processco for a passion fruit juice which was nice. The afternoon tea sandwiches were nice apart from the coronation chicken one-( not a great sandwich choice ) the scones were nice and lots of tea. The dessert cakes were nice enough, the lemon tart was not the best. But in all the little short fellow manuila? He was lovely and sweet who served us. The staff was nice too. The other tables meals looked nice, so we actually purchased another voucher on groupon for dinner. Those who are complaining on here about not getting a refill of sandwiches should understand afternoon tea at a lot of restaurants are not bottomless. As in the sense of not getting another round of sandwiches.. like really?? Anyway for what we paid we were happy and enjoyed are afternoon tea. Good quality overall.

We visited here on the 26th August for a Champange Afternoon tea. As non-tea drinkers we had phoned in advance to see if we could have coffee and hot chocolate instead and was told that would be fine. However when we received our drinks they arrived luke warm at best. We later requested a second drink but was told that only one round of drinks was allowed. The Champange was fine. Sandwiches were tasty and fresh with an assortment of fillings. We asked if we may please have some more but were told we could only do so at an extra cost. Scones were ok but quite small. We also received a selection of small cakes which varied in quality and taste. There was very little ambience within the restaurant and the waiter was not very attentive at all despite there only being five other tables occupied at any one time. Having previously had quite a few afternoon teas in various London hotels, where live music has been played, drinks plentiful and replenishment of sandwiches and scones offered, we felt this one seriously lacked value for money. Definitely not one to be put on our return list.

Got a buy a gift voucher for Christmas for this place. After reading reviews I was a bit nervous about how our experience was going to go. I was very pleasantly surprised. We had the scallops and fish cakes as starters and they were both delicious (the scallops cost an extra £3 but that's fine!) For mains we had fish and chips and the burger. Both were very very good and huge portion sizes. For dessert we had the cheese cake and the mousse, both were slightly frozen in the middle as if they hadn't been out of the freezer long enough but they were still yummy. We had the white wine and it was good, mind you we did water it down with lemonade as we aren't wine drinkers! Overall pleasantly surprised.

Went to Reform Social & Grill this evening with my husband for dinner. The service was good and the dishes we had were delicious. Some of the dishes had supplements but it was well worth it.

It is quite a while since I was at the Reform Social & Grill restaurant in the Mandeville Hotel. I have always thought that the Mandeville is one of London's hidden treasures, a little off the beaten track, perhaps, although not that far from the bustle of Oxford Street and Marylebone High Street. Mandeviille Place is off Wigmore Street, so would be a good place for a pre- or post concert meal if you are at the Wigmore Hall. The restaurant itself stretches along the ground floor in various sections and, although it is a large room, there is still the feeling of intimacy about it. The menu offers a choice of eight starters, five main courses plus eight dishes cooked on the Josper grill. My guest chose Fish cakes for his starter, two plump items with plenty of flavour, while I had the Caramelised red onion & goat's cheese tart. This was piping hot with a lovely mixture of the filling in a nice crumbly pastry. Fish again for the guest and his almost legendary Fresh beer-battered fillet of haddock, some excellent chunky chips and crushed peas - always one of the best dishes on this menu. My Pan-fried seabass was a model of its kind, soft white flesh and crispy outer shell, atop a mixture of sweet potato mash and pea puree. In no way could either dish be faulted. Desserts of Strawberry cheesecake and Mango & raspberry mousse brought the meal to an end with a creamy flourish. Altogether highly recommended. And they also do a very desirable afternoon tea.

We had a really good experience, the food was very tasty and portions good size, my lamb was succulent and melted in my mouth, and my husband really enjoyed his fish and chips. Our desserts were also delicious. The service was prompt and professional. The location is spot on, somewhere a bit quieter in between Oxford St and Baker St. We'll certainly be back!

Visited here a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend, using a Wowcher code which cost £39 for a 3 course meal and a bottle of house wine. Without exaggeration, the wine is the worst wine I’ve ever tasted. Dry to the point it strips the skin off the tongue, and it tastes like vinegar. Needless to say, we had one sip each and ordered alternative drinks (so no longer a cheap meal).The Goats Cheese tart starter was lovely, and would happily eat again and again, however the caramelised onions might have been a bit too overpowering for some people’s palate, but I liked it. Didn’t like the fish and chips, despite how nice it looked. The fish had skin on both sides, and it was full of bones. The mushy peas were just tasteless garden peas, which looked liked they’d been subtlety mushed by someone high on morphine. The chips were okay, but they looked and tasted like any frozen spud to me.The mixed berry cheesecake was lovely, although it had a very thin biscuit layer. Service was poor. Had to pester for drinks and the bill, and felt almost forgotten about. Had high hopes as I’d heard good things about the Mandeville Hotel, but there was nothing to do cartwheels over. I’ve had better meals at Harvester. I wouldn’t go back.

Tomamos el té complementado con bollos, postres y sándwiches, con un atrevido Prosecco al final. Anshual fue fantástico en su trabajo y nos hizo sentir como en casa, debido a él y al sabor de la comida y el servicio en general, fue una experiencia culinaria perfecta para mí, mi esposa y mi bebé.Volveremos en breve, lo recomiendo encarecidamente. muy bien de precio para la zona y lo que obtienes es una excelente relación calidad-precio. 10/10. gracias

Had dinner here after a very long flight.It was early so there wasnt much atmosphere, but the room is pleasant and the staff were interested and tried hard. The food is average, not a lot of creativity, but ok pub food.The drinks menu was ok, though only one non bottled beer.The associated bar had a good feel to it but we never got to use it.

Mi amigo disfrutó su tarta de queso de cabra. Tuve filete, mi amigo cordero, ambos muy bien cocinados. Tuve una deliciosa salsa de champiñones. Cambié las patatas fritas por verduras de temporada y vino con una ensalada mixta. Compartimos dos postres que fueron realmente increíbles: la tarta de frambuesa Scott's y el pastel de queso con azafrán. Fue un valor excelente ya que usé mi Tastecard. Este es definitivamente un restaurante que espero volver, con suerte en el futuro cercano.

Went in for lunch with my wife. The restaurant and bar are so comfortable, we did not want to leave. The food is served by caring waiters, who are clearly busy, but make their job look easy. I would not hesitate to return.

Cibo veramente ottimo, di alto livello, menu forse non troppo vario di di qualità. Siamo rimasti veramente sorpresi. Ci ritorneremo di sicuro.

We visited for lunch today on a ridiculously cheap Groupon deal. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. We were each served a pleasant house wine - both red and white were absolutely fine. As there was a slight mix-up with the order, we were given several apologies and a complimentary starter. I had fish and chips which was piping hot and tasted delicious. Husband had chicken which he said was beautifully cooked. Our desserts of bread and butter pudding and saffron cheesecake were superb. For the price paid, the meal and service were both amazing. Highly recommend!

My friend and I had the Halloween afternoon tea here this afternoon. Fresh, loose leaf tea is misleadingly advertised; what you get is a tea bag. And I was rather taken aback to be told, on asking if I could have some more tea towards the end, “You’re only allowed one tea per visit.” I had wanted to switch from Darjeeling to peppermint. With them charging £30 a person including the service charge, would one more cup of tea really have made a difference to their profit margins? I go for afternoon tea at various hotels in London a lot and have never experienced this. The waitress instead offered to top up my existing pot with more hot water. Erm, great, thanks. Stewed tea it is. I would be unlikely to return based on this. My other comment is that the food was just okay - rather bland and unimaginative with the Halloween theme mostly obtained by the chocolate eyeballs and other children’s sweets (see photo) they had (lazily, I feel) bulked the top tier plate out with. The sandwiches weren’t great either: the mini bagel was seriously crispy and the cream cheese wasn’t a necessary addition in the cucumber sandwiches as they’d already included it with the bagel. I’m amazed that someone thought chicken tikka masala sandwiches was a good idea. We didn’t even attempt to eat these! The scones should have been wrapped lightly or covered to keep them warm.

We had a 3 course dinner including wine here on a Saturday night using a voucher purchased through Living Social Deals.The restaurant is small but nicely decorated and feels cosy.It was a set menu but there were several choices to suit all tastes.The service was very good and we didn't feel we were treated any different from customers paying full price. The staff were very pleasant and polite.The food was very good in presentation and taste.Good food, Great Value and Good service what more could you ask for?We would be happy to eat here again.

Perfect. Could not fault the service and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I should have known that the reason this restaurant was promoting special offers via a famous listings magazine was that it isn't very good. The food is bland, the ambiance generic and it's also rather expensive. Not very good, I would avoid it if I were you - there are plenty of better restaurants in this area charging similar prices or less.

Well firstly when I called I was told I could have the 4pm slot I booked for but then was called back to be told there is a wedding going on so I need to be moved to 12pm or 2pm.

My partner & I visited the Brassiere at the Mandeville hotel. The service along with the food left a lot to be desired. Iceland fish cakes, birds eye chicken and sour faces. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three of us dined early evening and found the welcome warm and friendly: the service swift and polite.

As I promised myself after my last visit we returned for the Yorkshire Pudding menu this week.

Small selection but adequate for two of us. The portion sizes were small and dainty. The service was attentive and came at the right time to top up our tea when we needed it. The only comment was that they would not allow us to take away which was such a waste of food.

The Mandeville is a lovely hotel, very comfortable bar area and very helpful staff. A wowcher voucher for a 3 course meal includes a bottle of wine and is excellent value. Very good homemade fish cakes (although the advertised pineapple salsa was simply chopped pineapple) with a pungent lime sauce, a lovely piece of sea bass and very good al dente gnocchis. The cheese platter is the same old boring choices as everywhere else and therefore not worth bothering with but the cheesecake was nice if nothing exceptional. We were a little mystified as to why there was a side plate with a butter knife although we were not offered bread and so was a little redundant. All in all , excellent value for money

Trají a mi amigo aquí en una oferta wowcher para un almuerzo de 3 platos y vino y wow ciertamente no nos decepcionó. Excelente selección de menú, excelente comida y tamaño de porción y excelente servicio. La botella de rojo que teníamos también era bastante buena. Muy buen valor en general y definitivamente comprará nuevamente.

Mi esposa y yo reservamos el almuerzo de dos platos con fizz con un cupón que recibimos.

When my parents visited me in March I decided to take them for an afternoon tea. I bought two vouchers via wowcher, which were half price of what it costs in the restaurant.

Had a gentlemen's tea, food was really nice, First waiter was very nice and friendly. We was informed we can substitute tea for coffee which was free refills, only had 2 coffees and the waiter changed asked her for a third and she presented with an attitude (in body language not verbally). Said coffees are now chargeable despite what we was informed when ordering. Will not refurn Purley for this fact. Paid a lot of money to be treated to make us feel u welcome.
