We had only an ok experience, me and my sister. Sweetcorn fritters ruined it (starter). Burnt, over fried but also the content of fritters was stodgy as if lots of flour in them. And I could not find sweetcorn let alone taste it. Managed to eat but this morning found a previous customer pic which shows how they 'should' have looked. My chicken main was tasty but the mashed potato and cabbage I would be embarrassed to serve at home as no flavour. WHERE was the ' quality buttery mash' you pay restaurant prices for??👎. The sauces were good. My sister's cod was tasty but so small! As a main that is not good. For the sake of a few inches of cod, your customer won't return. You need to realise this! Dessert ..we both chose the tiramisu which was tasty enough and we hoped it was home made. The house wine was poor (bland), only just drinkable, from Spain. We would not return and esp when they then charge 12.5 percent service on the so called normal full price when we had paid Groupon price!

Always but the buyagift brunch and drink for 2 times 3 for my husband and family. Quality and portions are always excellent. We have visited around 5 times now and always great! Make sure you check your BAG codes beforehand as it’s not the staffs fault if they’re not valid. I made a mistake once and they were very patient in allowing me to buy another one as would’ve been expensive without.

Booked in with a 'buy a gift tea for two' voucher and paid an upgrade. They were expecting us. Unfortunately there was a problem with the system, despite us bringing all the info and codes that we had been sent. Rather than offering help and putting the customer first, there was a 'computer says no' attitude and their main suggestion was for us (not them) to phone customer services, which would have spoiled the magic of the special occasion! I'm sure there was more they could have done, especially since they could see we had paid the money for the upgrade etc - it was very much our problem. Would not recommend either the voucher or (in terms of customer service) the Reform Social & Grill.

Just had afternoon tea on a Groupon voucher and can honestly say this is one of the best teas ever! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff could not be more polite and efficient I liked the fact that linen napkins were used and the tableware very suited to the occasion On arrival we were served prosecco chilled to just the right temperature The sandwich selection was excellent made with extremely fresh bread, lovely scones with jam and cream and to finish absolutely gorgeous cakes The selection of teas was very good and we chose the English breakfast which was served in individual tea pots A special mention for the toilets which were very luxurious and spotlessly clean I cannot recommend this gem of a place highly enough and will return at the first opportunity A big thank you to the staff for such an enjoyable experience

Restaurant was quite old looking, it needs updating, the food was ok but nothing special ( fancy) the waiters we’re friendly we had a deal that made it good value so check out things like Groupon and the deal included a bottle of house wine

We came using a Groupon voucher for 3 course meal + bottle of wine & wasn't disappointed. The staff were all really friendly, attentive & professional. All of the food was pretty quick, nicely presented & tasty, the wine was good (not dry/sharp) would happily come back

Hidden gem! The food is lovely and the service is very good indeed, Daniel was particularly attentive. The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday late afternoon but it didn’t take away from our experience.

We were visiting London for an evening show and we decided to make a day of it and picked The Mandeville hotel for lunch. The complete experience was a total joy. The food was divine, the service was attentive but not over bearing. No faults at all and it was great value as we had Groupon offer.

This was my third visit, every time we have been here the service has been second to none and the choice and quality of food is amazing, the staff went out of their way to do a special dessert for my wife as it is her birthday, I will be back again soon

Lovely service, food and atmosphere. We went for the afternoon tea, it was a great day. The staff is friendly, aware and we don’t feel pressured to leave. The food was good quality and we enjoyed eating it. In the formula, it is two coffees, sandwiches selection, two scones, and a selection of desserts. They were all fresh and good quality. The area was clean and well decorated and the tables were spaced enough that we could feel we had a private conversation without anybody listening in. Very good for the price offered (we got vouchers on groupon)

A lovely restaurant with a great selection of dishes. Had the Cesar’s Salad and the pork Schnitzel. Both delicious. Elegant flair and great service! Will come again.

My mum & I went for the 2 course lunch today. Every member of staff was friendly & very polite. I had the chicken Caesar salad & chicken supreme which were both really nice. Great ambience, fantastic staff & lovely food. We will definitely be back.

We had a great afternoon tea! Everything was wonderful: the tea, the sandwiches, the scones and the choice of cakes. We really liked the service of our two waiters: Anshul and Hainul…they were simply lovely and caring… All in all we had great afternoon! Thanks so much!

A Quaint tidy and clean restaurant, all tables were set up well and prepared, there is a mini piano set up in the corner so I suspect on occasion has live music played for guests. The seating is either cushioned chairs or if you're lucky booth seating on a Chesterfield style booth. The walls appeal as animalistic patterns and the restaurant is lit up with art deco style Accessibility Wheelchair users not suitable Service Waiter, was quite confrontational and arrogant when dealing with customers, we had a voucher which was ambiguous with the wording, the waiter shut down any discussion over the wrongly advertised voucher despite wording not stating any supplement fees would be incurred however were. Which doesn't make much sense considering the pan fried sea bass was the same price as the lamb shank on the standard menu, yet came with a £9.50 supplement for the two course menu. We were the first diners in the restaurant and it was fairly quiet with not many other tables seated. Our food arrived when there was around 3 other tables seated so there is no excuse of the restaurant being busy for any faults. Dinnerware was set appropriately with a delicate silky cotton napkin. Bread for the table was given just before the starters arrived which was nice to enjoy them together. Food Table bread, balsamic vinegar olive oil, crunchy dry bread, nothing to write home about. Not quite the soft focaccia with garlic herbs you would expect in a warm 4* environment so this has room to improve. Starter Burrata (mozzarella ball) Nothing to complain about the cheese, but it's quite a basic starter. Served on a salad tomatoes with quartered salad tomatoes and halved yellow tomatoes with a drizzle of balsamic. Choice of tomatoes was quite basic for a £12 dish the restaurant boasts is iconic, a more appealing taste would be the mix of sundried tomatoes with the mozzarella and sweet cherry vine halved tomatoes. It certainly wasn't a 4* starter. Main Lamb shank £25 Delicate and dissolving, a very soft and excellent taste of lamb, the mash potato mixed with butter, not as silky and creamy, but still adequate for the meal. The shank is served with a pickled red onion which sour taste compliments the lamb quite well and a warming strong lamb jus. The meal is a suitable sizeto leave you with some space for desert. Ribeye steak medium rare £28.50. Our particular cut was very juicy and a strong beef taste with good quality beef. The bernaise was again a strong taste with a nice hint of dill and not too overwhelming. Some chips were slightly underdone and mild to cold with the meal, it's likely they were cooked in advance and kept under a heat lamp for a while and served with the steak. They appear in no way hand cut and seem to be pro cut frozen chips again not quite a 4* experience Wine Quite a watered down taste of house wine, a weak and mildly fruity taste sourced from Italy. It doesn't pair well with hearty red meats so is not a good choice of house wine in my opinion. Overall, with a rocky service and questionable quality of accompanying food the restaurant is okay, certainly not worth the value charged for the dishes and is more 3* dining with a 4* impression. The lamb shank was very delightful to devour and the quality of the main food seems very good for that it would be 4* but there are a few areas which drag it down in my overall rating of 3/5, It was a pleasant experience but wouldn't dine here again. Any customer is of value to a restaurant it did feel like our group was the black sheep in the restaurant, perhaps the staff thought I was picky and wanted to avoid me. We entered via the hotel, and the reception for the coinsiegre was flawlessly professional and gave a great sense of privileged and decorum, the same can't be said for the restaurant.

Given a voucher for this restaurant from my sister-entitles you to two courses and a glass of prosecco. Warm, friendly greeting. Wide selection of food available on the menu. I had the burrata and my partner had the ginger, potato and tapioca fritters. We shared both starters-absolutely delicious. My partner ordered the lamb shank-there is a supplement for this dish which is highlighted on the menu. I ordered the sea bream. Faultless, perfectly cooked and very tasty food. There is 12.5% service added to the bill-but very happy to pay as the service was attentive and thorough. Highly recommend this place.

This venue is ideal, tucked behind busy Oxford Street. A calm, quiet venue with ample privacy to talk without being overheard. Afternoon tea was enjoyable, a good sandwich selection which you'll want more of!, lovely small scones with a good selection of tea's. We happily stayed over an hour longer than our booked time! Thank you to Daniel and the team!

Service was adequate. We were staying in the hotel, and we just wanted a simple dinner. I ordered a tagliatelle with mushrooms, spinach, Parmesan crisp, crème fraiche, and basil oil. The dish arrived hot, with a few mushrooms and a little shaved Parmesan. Underseasoned and ZERO spinach. I pointed out lack of green anything, and I was told it was “specks mixed in, not a pile of greens.” There were not. Yet no apology, no redo, nothing apart from “sign the bill please.”

Excellent food service & ambience

I recently tried the afternoon tea at Reform Social & Grill, and unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. Despite visiting during peak afternoon tea hours at 12 pm, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which set the tone for a less-than-optimal dining experience. The £70 price tag did not align with the quality of the offerings. The tea was mediocre, akin to what you could find at a local supermarket. The bread was dry, and the flavors lacked the expected richness and creativity one anticipates during afternoon tea. The desserts were a mixed bag, with the coffee cake standing out as a highlight. The scones, while enjoyable, couldn't fully compensate for the lackluster quality of the other items. It was disheartening to find that the store-bought section was the most impressive part of the experience. Despite the culinary disappointments, I must acknowledge the positive aspects of the visit—the atmosphere and ambience were pleasant, and the staff were attentive. However, the emptiness of the place during what should have been a bustling afternoon tea time raises concerns about its popularity and perhaps reflects the overall dissatisfaction of diners. In summary, Reform Social & Grill's afternoon tea left me with mixed feelings. While the atmosphere and service were commendable, the lack of patrons during peak hours and the subpar culinary offerings make it challenging to recommend at its current price point. I hope for improvements in both the menu and attendance to enhance the overall dining experience.

Not great value for money I had purchased a Wowcher deal for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. The staff were very polite however ...Wowcher did not advise in the fine print there was a supplement for certain dishes and the coupon itself didn’t have any notification that there is an additional charge for certain meals included in the coupon, nor did the staff make this clear.. There is a supplement for the scallops, lamb shanks, steaks and cheese board. So if you choose not to order these dishes and not to pay the supplement, you will be left with a very poor choice on the menu, I’m afraid. As a result, as I was not aware of the supplement, I had to pay the extra £30 on top of the fee I had already paid for purchasing the voucher (£60). I spoke to the manager about this but he insisted that the information about the supplement is on the voucher (which it isn't) and we were told about it by the staff. All in all, a very disappointing experience and certainly not value for money. It kind of spoiled our day, which was a real shame as it was my boyfriend’s birthday. We have had much, much better elsewhere. I would not personally recommend, sorry!

Good food and service but needs a design theme and image.

The service was great. The lamb fell off the bone it was very tender and the sauce complimented it very well. I do wonder if they marinated it or not as it didn't taste as though the flavour had yet reached the meat but it was wonderful all the same. We unfortunately had a fowl smell in the area we were dining in and it was overly hot. If you are getting a Groupon for the place please keep in mind you will be paying an extra 32.99 (for two) if ordering the lamb shank.

Eight of us had a fabulous prosecco afternoon and Sushima and Tamnoy were attentive, friendly and efficient. They ensured that we had everything we needed and they have a lovely manner. The sandwiches and cakes were all freshly made and we had a really enjoyable time. Good selection of teas and coffees and a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. Altogether a wonderful experience thank you!

In my experience, having visited twice, the Reform Social & Grill delivers a very relaxed ambience, excellent food and attentive, friendly and unpushy service.

I had purchased a Groupon deal for a 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine. The food and service were exceptional however ... Groupon did not advise in the fine print there was a supplement for certain dishes. I have no problem with supplements but I would like to be aware of them up front. There is a supplement for the scallops, lamb shanks, steaks and cheese board. Secondly one of the party was not drinking and we asked for the bottle of wine to be swapped for 2 cocktails - one alcoholic and the other non alcoholic. We were told this could not be done. Both had to be non alcoholic!!!!! Figure that one out??? We did ask repeatedly why it could not be done but did not really receive an answer. As a result we did not order anything over and above and this establishment missed out on some more revenue.

Fantastic afternoon tea which was an absolute bargain through Groupon. The staff were attentive and nothing too much trouble including takeaway box for the cakes we couldn’t finish! Warm scones with lashings of jam and cream, great selection of cakes and sandwiches, all in generous portion. Upgraded us from Prosecco to champagne and a good selection of teas. Tasteful restaurant which was surprisingly quiet considering the standard.

I hired the venue for our annual Christmas Party and it certainly delivered. The food, the atmosphere and the staff were all top notch. I can't wait to pop back again with the Mrs and enjoy a lovely afternoon tea and possibly dinner too! Highly recommend!

Went with friends for a very enjoyable catch-up lunch. Reasonable menu choices are fairly priced for the location, friendly, polite service, and when we went (Friday lunchtime) quite quiet. Worth thinking about for a quality lunch in the west end away from the crowds.

Delicious food - never before I have eaten such an exquisite blackcurrant sorbet - wow, what a treat! Top class! Thank you soooo much!

Great food, attentive staff, lovely decor

This is the one place, that is must. The staff; Anshull, Mainul and not forgetting Daniyel are second to none. For offering a first clas service and nothing is too much, for any of them. If the food was poor ( which it's not ) These staff make up for it. The last time we were their; we booked our next vist for when visting London ( even though, it was a distance to where we are staying ).The food is fantastic and the drinks, are serverd super fast. One of the best groupon restaurants we have ever attended. Food, staff, all fantastic 😋

I ordered lamb shank which was full of flavour, a good portion of meat and mashed potato with a deeply rich jus and sweet pickled red onion, with a bit of crunch which added a pleasant twist. The pork loin was nicely grilled and had smoky chargrilled flavour. The portion for the pork wasn't impressive, and blackcurrant and port gravy was underwhelming. It was still a nice dish, but there wasn't enough, so you would need to order a side. At £27 it seemed a little steep, given the portion, and perhaps a bit more potatoes au gratin would be a reasonable compromise by the kitchen. The menu has a good variety, including sea bream, cod, cauliflower steak (which is their one nod to the vegans) but also, tagliatelle, fish and chips, burgers and steak. So there's something here for everyone.

We came for a cheeky 6pm early Monday dinner as was our day off. Delish cocktails (margarita & dark n'stormy) and the lamb shank was to die for! Staff could not have been more friendlier or attentive. Well done to all the team.

Took my children here for the mini afternoon tea as a birthday treat. First, when we arrived we were told that two of the items on the menu weren’t available (one being the main reason we chose this afternoon tea place - peanut butter and jam sandwiches). There were hardly any people in the restaurant - it was quite a depressing atmosphere although the waiting staff were friendly. The drinks took about 10 minutes to come out and the kids were given an enormous chocolate milkshake. When the food finally arrived, there were no fishfinger sandwiches (the other highlight of the savoury menu for us). I told the waitress and she said she would check with the chef. By the time a different waitress came by to check on us the kids had moved on to the “sweet course” anyway, but I mentioned the fish finger sandwiches. A while later, some small battered fish and peas on tartare sauce arrived. With no explanation as to how fish finger sandwiches had turned into mini chip shop fish. Oh and some jam finger sandwiches were passed off as “jammy dodgers”. I thought I had found a great deal for £12.50 per person for this mini afternoon tea, but it wasn’t what was promised which is tricky for young kids.

The food was great & very nicely presented. The service was spot on, Anshul & Manul deserve a mention.

My wife and I came for afternoon tea. What a wonderful experience we had. The sandwiches, cakes tea and coffee on offer were amazing. The service was first class. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea here.

The service was excellent, all waitresses were very polite and emphatic. The food looked good but did not taste great. I wish you could improve quality of afternoon tea food. Otherwise everything was nice.

All of the staff I interacted with were very polite and friendly. I also really liked the seating and atmosphere. All food came in good time with excellent presentation and definitely tasted lovely. I did have a little misunderstanding about an item but they were understanding on this and came to a quick and favourable solution for me, which is great customer service and what I like to see. Would definitely visit again!

Brilliant customer service, very attentive. Delicious food. Gentlemans afternoon tea is an excellent value for money, bought with a buyagift voucher. No topping up of food. The surroundings are modest, however in comparison to so many afternoon teas at various places in London including 3 restaurants with a Michelin star, I would say this is decent quality food and I would definitely recommend it.

Superb service and food. We had afternoon tea. The first thing to say is that the staff we absolutely superb. The decor was lovely and the afternoon tea was excellent.

My partner ordered the fillet steak rare but the waitress said “we don’t serve it rare for health reasons, we serve it medium, it will still be pink.” The steak was served and it was a light colour in the very middle, it was not pink so it was very dry. Which was why a mushroom sauce was provided on the side even though my partner had asked for no sauce. When another waiter cleared our dishes he asked how our food was. My partner answered “I am surprised that you don’t serve your steak rare”. To which the waiter said we do serve rare and there was an awkward exchange of looks between the waitress and waiter. There were only 3 tables of diners as it was lunch time. We were not asked if we wanted any further drinks when we had finished our first one and my partner was disappointed with his steak. The rest of our food was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful so unfortunately we have marked it down as a 3 out of 5

Wir hatten eine Tea Time in diesem schönen Restaurant reserviert. Per Mail wurde man nochmal an den Termin erinnert und vor Ort gab es für uns keine Probleme. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut zu erreichen und hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Es war nicht all zuviel los, deshalb war es nicht zu laut. Es gab leckere Sandwiches, Scones und Kuchen - dazu eine schöne Tee Auswahl. So hatte ich mir eine Tea Time gewünscht. Der Preis lag bei ca 30 Pfund pro Person, die Etagere war aber auch großzügig gefüllt. Der Preis ist deshalb für mich (für Londoner Verhältnisse) gerechtfertigt. Der Service war super und alle Mitarbeiter sehr nett.

My wife and I booked a bottomless prosecco afternoon tea as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations, but we were left feeling very disappointed. The interior and decor of the place itself is average, not salubrious like some reviews have mentioned, so our first impression wasn't great. However, the staff were very attentive and polite and we were shown to our table. Unfortunately, we were close to a young couple, who's toddler would not stop screaming (I get it, as a parent, it's not their fault, they couldn't help it and were trying their best to keep her quiet). However, there was also some sort of raucous party going on in a private room next door. I can only guess at a hen party as they were screaming more loudly than the toddler! Consequently, we asked to move as far away as possible! Staff were accommodating and we selected a different table. Due to the size of the venue, this was not far away enough away and we were still continually bothered by the screaming and shouting! We mentioned on the telephone when booking that we would need to change one of the sandwich fillings due to allergies staff were more than happy to do this. The service was polite throughout but the food let it down. Not a huge selection of sandwiches and cakes and all were on the small side. Furthermore, the prosecco wasn't actually prosecco! It was a sparkling French wine of some sort, but not prosecco. Again, we were not impressed as my wife drinks prosecco but is not keen on any other wine or champagne, which is one of the reasons we booked the prosecco afternoon tea! Consequently, she managed one glass and could not drink any more. I pointed this out but was told this was all they had to offer us in the way of "prosecco". All in all, a very disappointing experience and certainly not value for money. It put a bit of a taint on our day, which was a real shame as it was our anniversary. We have had much, much better elsewhere. I would not personally recommend, sorry!

We shared starters and desserts but not mains . She had the chicken supreme which must have caused the food poisoning..... The hotel were terrible to deal with after the complaint. They never responded to my complaint first thing the morning after I emailed to complain. I only received an email from the head chef on the Monday after calling to chase my complaint. Even then after being told it could not have been from the restaurant they offered a free afternoon tea or lunch and dinner but not a refund. Who in the right mind would return to a restaurant that had given them food poisoning. It took over a week of constant calls and emails chasing the claim to be told not our fault and they do not give refunds. Absolute joke of a place. The only nice thing about our experience were the waiters who were friendly polite.

Went here for a 3 course meal for our wedding Anniversary. Service was excellent, food was cooked well and presented beautifully. We went on a week day so the restaurant wasn't that busy but it was perfect for us. We bought a little cake to celebrate and the staff kindly got the chef to write an Anniversary message for us, which was the highlight of the day. Thank you for making our experience memorable.

We booked our afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco. There were 4 of us. It was nice and quiet and the service was good. There were a few other tables at the same time. The food was pretty standard for afternoon tea. Sandwiches were maybe a bit on the dry side, the scones with clotted creams were lovely, the lemon meringue tart was delicious. We couldn't quite finish everything. Overall it was a lovely afternoon out in London with some friends as we avoided the crowds nearby on Bonds Street in the heat.

Excellent brunch in lovely surroundings - calm and quiet music - perfect. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Good value too! Do try it out!

Really lovely tea. Great service

I came with a large part of 10 and was sat at a very nice private room and table. The servers are nice but the food was a huge letdown. The bagels were dry and inedible with minimal smoked salmon. The sandwiches were dry on the outside like they were sitting out for too long. The pastries weren't special and were most probably bought. It was definitely NOT worth over £30 per person. I wasn't even given more tea with this, only one pot.

Terrible food. Ribeye steak was dry and was not cooked medium at all despite the chef trying to cook it again when I raised the issue with the waiter. I suspect it’s also the poor quality of beef that was used. Definitely not worth the price of 28.50. Worst restaurant I’ve been to in London.

They tried to cater for our various food allergies but in the end they were overwhelmed. Lots of kind gestures but ultimately we paid a lot and didn't get what we came for. Great if your eating needs are straight forward.

Afternoon tea. Disappointingly wouldn’t revisit. Staff were initially attentive but abruptly ended out afternoon tea with “your time is up” and removing the Prosecco. It wasn’t the removal of the Prosecco, it was the absolute full stop to a nice afternoon. Understandable if they were busy but there were only 3 other tables occupied. We were then presented with a ‘bill’ for 12.5% service charge that was not in any way presented as discretionary. We’ve had much better experiences and wouldn’t return.

So sorry for long review. We had lost the names of the two excellent staff ( Mainul & Daniyel ). Finally found them on a post it note in our phone. These cold not do enough for us and made it very special once again....

Lovely afternoon tea. We upgraded to champagne. Daniel was the best server, looking after all our needs. Tea was fab,great selection of sandwiches etc..and teas.

An enjoyable afternoon tea, wonderful service from the exemplary Daniel. Cakes and sandwiches lovely and fresh. One watch out for the management, maybe inadvisable to bring an upcoming wedding party in to organise their seating plan , in the middle of the service!

Used to be nice afternoon tea with lovely scones. What's happened now: Scone sizes reduced till one bite finger food and price went higher. Would not recommend to save on portions. I left hungry:/)
